Question: Is this a good first date idea and how to ask her out? Posted: 20 Sep 2019 08:39 AM PDT I want to take this girl to a place where you do different obstacles in the trees. Some are easy and some are hard and you can go high in the trees. It is super safe and a good little exercise and fun at the same time. I was going to talk to her a bit first and then say "Hey i have a place i want to take you, would you go?" And she will probably say where And then tell her what place and what we will be doing. Is that a good thing to say? |
Question: I don't have friends? Posted: 20 Sep 2019 07:55 AM PDT I'm a female in senior year high school and I have been socially anxious since elementary school.I was bullied in elementary school both physically and mentally.Since then I always find it hard to make friends.I feel like people are always judging me and I'll never be too good for anyone.I feel like I'm bothering others with my presence.I have very few friends but they recently started drinking and smoking and I don't.I don't have any bad habits and I'm a good student.People call me nerd in other words.I feel like I don't belong in the teenage community because I can't relate with teenagers.I have always gotten along way better with adults than with people my age.Im hoping this will change once I get to university.Any tips on how to make more friends and not be lonely? |
Question: Friendship falling apart? Posted: 20 Sep 2019 07:45 AM PDT Me and my friend have been friends for 2 years. We go in the same school and we always used to be really close. We hung out frequently and we used to be more opened towards each other. He was socially anxious and didn't have many friends and I was in the same boat like him so we clicked pretty quick. Now it seems that he changed to bad.He started hanging out with people that aren't our type.He got into smoking because of those "friends".Now he smokes every break at school.I don't accompany him while he smokes because im strongly against smoking and I would never try that myself nor do I want to be around smokers. He comes back to classes smelling awful and chews gums to hide that. His parents aren't aware and if they were they would scold him.He also started making out with lots of girls. He didn't use to be like this. Now I feel like our friendship is falling apart. He still likes me as a friend but I feel like I can't recognise him anymore.I want my old friend back. With this "new" version of him I can't really hang out nor talk. What should I do? I always tell him to stop smoking and things not in a direct way but he doesn't listen.Should I try to bring the old him or should I just leave him and keep distance from him? |
Posted: 20 Sep 2019 06:08 AM PDT I have a friend who was once very petite, but is now on the heavier side that still dresses like she's petite. The subject of weight triggers her like crazy, for instance as a friend I thought it was my duty to tell her that she needs to look out for her health. I encouraged her to go to the gym with me, however just mentioning the gym or dieting she took major offense to that. Now she's over 200lbs, yet still dresses like she's 120lbs. She complains about her body all the time, frankly I can't go anywhere with her because she's going to complain about her appearance. Everywhere we go people are staring at us because her belly is hanging and butt crack is showing half the time. She tries to squeeze in medium size clothing. Just last weekend I was invited out for my co-workers birthday and was told I could bring someone with me. I brought my friend who promised she was going to dress nicely, but however when I picked her up she was wearing the shortest skirt I've ever seen with her belly flopping everywhere and a bralette that didn't support her chest. It was so bad we couldn't even get into club, I dropped her off and went back and got in without a problem. So without sounding like a complete jerk, how should I tell her that she's too big for the clothes she's wearing? |

Question: Why do people take what they have for granted?!? Posted: 20 Sep 2019 12:07 AM PDT There's this girl on my Snapchat that always post pictures of her with captions like, "no one loves me" or "I have no friends". But it's not serious kinda, it's more like a cry for attention kinda thing. And today she posted, "No one has talked to me since I got back. I feel like no one likes me. But since when do I not feel like that". As someone who actually has zero friends, this is so annoying. I haven't gotten a text from someone for months unless it's been my parents or siblings. I know the girl that posts that stuff has a good social life and is quite popular actually. But she always takes what she has for granted and seeks out attention. Why do people do this?? |
Question: Is this a good/caring friend? Posted: 19 Sep 2019 06:18 PM PDT I am in Australia with my friend. She's 23 and I have known he since I was five. A load of cockroaches entered our room. I have Aspergers, and got a little scared when they did, and she saw that. One by one, she started stomping on and killing the cockroaches. As she was making cockroach pates, and smearing cockroach guts over the floor, she said she cares about my feelings so much more than she does any cockroach. After she had killed about all 10 cockroaches by stomping on them, she stroked my arm and told me not to worry as she would deal with any more cockroaches if they came. Is this the sign of a good/caring friend? |

Question: How to deal with work drama? Posted: 19 Sep 2019 06:06 PM PDT I m 24. A 19 yr old coworker of mine decided to talk crap behind my back and I found out. I called her out on it and had a civil talk with her, but she kept denying everything and turning the problem on me. So far, she s told everyone at work about our problem and everyone believes her only because she s good at persuading people. I have only 3 coworkers who are on my side, but the rest believe the 19 yr old. I knowww I shouldn t stress over a young coworker and this entire thing but its different when you re working very close with each coworker for hours. Whenever I have a day off, that 19 yr old continues to talk badly about me to others. Anyway, what would you do in this situation? |
Question: Can the employee stop me from making a purchase? Posted: 19 Sep 2019 06:02 PM PDT I'm going to buy gift cards for my friends, that are going to total up to around $800 ($100 for each friend). I'm gonna use my money (in cash) to buy them. I'm wondering if I went to GameStop, would they stop (no pun intended) me from purchasing 8 gift cards each for a $100. I'm 14, by the way. I don't want them to call my mom, thinking I stole $800 and went to buy some gift cards... So, would I be in the good zone?? I don't want my parents to know about the purchase because they don't like online video games, and they WILL insist on me buying a more "appropriate" gift for my friends. (I do know my friends well, and trust me, they will like the gift cards.) |
