Question: Substitute engagement ring? Posted: 11 Sep 2019 10:18 PM PDT My boyfriend and I are going on vacation September 22-24. The Turkish engagement ring that I ordered over a month ago, says it will not arrive until Sept. 26 earliest. I was hoping it would arrive before the vacation started, so I could propose to my boyfriend with this absolutely perfect, beautiful, emerald-silver ring. But it may not arrive on time. What do y'all think about proposing with a substitute ring? Or should I just wait until I actually have the ring, and propose at a different occasion? btw, we don't get to go on vacations very often.. last one was 2013.... |
Question: Is it normal that he cried when he saw me? Posted: 11 Sep 2019 06:15 PM PDT Me and my fiance have a very long and complicated story... We're both 25, and we've been together for the last 8 years. We first met in high school, and in that time I was living here in the United States, but I'm not american. We started dating, but I moved back to my country 1 year later. We kept the relationship in long distance, but we couldn't see each other very often, even though we talked everyday. Anyways, we broke up many times and ended up getting back together, I came back to visit him many times, he went to visit me many times as well, as 7 years passed by in this situation. Now we're engaged and we hadn't seen each other in a year, the longest time we've been apart, and now I came to stay because we're getting married. He went to pick me up at the airport, and when he saw me he started crying. I asked what's wrong, and he said he's just really happy that I'm here. I don't know what to think about it. He was crying like a baby, and like I said, most of our relationship we've spent apart of each other so we're used to saying goodbye to each other and meeting again. The way that he reacted, is it normal? Or do you think he regretted or maybe he did something wrong? It was just not the reaction I was expecting, so I thought it was weird. Other than that, everything else has been normal, he and his family have been amazing to me just like always. Sorry for my bad english in advance. |

Question: What should the bachelorette party hashtag be? Posted: 11 Sep 2019 11:58 AM PDT Hi! So, some details to help, because of course we'd like it to be relevant. Bride's name is Nicole, she is marrying Drew (name doesn't need to be included). They are having a Jameson (you heard right) themed wedding. The bach party is in Boston. |
Posted: 11 Sep 2019 10:58 AM PDT My brother asked me to loan him some many to pay his rent. He was desperately in need. So I gave him $1000 from my wedding savings. That's where I put all my money. When my girlfriend found out, she got furious. She still won't talk to me to this day, 5 days later. Did I mess up? I couldn't let my brother be homeless ,and he will pay me back. |
Posted: 11 Sep 2019 10:39 AM PDT my boyfriend is 37 and 27 and we've been together for 5 years. He has three kids by two other women that he was with before me. I don't have any kids. we broke up one time because he had some controlling tendencies but found ourselves back to each other after he changed. anyways, we stopped having sex because he felt like we was sinning and he wanted to do things the godly way, but he's saying its hard for him to keep waiting for sex and so he wants to get married immediately. he said we can get married in a courthouse and have a big wedding later. he said he wants to propose and get engaged and married in the same day. I was like "don't you think doing everything in one day is too much. I want to enjoy the engagement process". I would love for us to be able to just have the wedding and skip the courthouse but I know he's getting to be 40 soon and doesn't want to wait any longer and his funds are low he only has about $50 in his savings account. My boyfriend was like " I can just propose in a regular way. most women would love to be engaged and married in the same day cause its something different. this is romantic to me. the woman isn't supposed to tell the man how to propose." I was like " I know but don't you want to make it special and exciting for me." I'm just over it entirely and not even excited about getting married anymore. it's not about the money or nothing, it's the lack of thought into anything that kills me. |
