My mother in law favors one grandchild and it hurts to see my child not get that love from her like the other does. My theory is bc her daughter named her son after the baby her mom was going to have but lost in a miscarriage. She talks about how God sent her daughter to have a boy to name it after the boy she could've had. She praises the little boy. I've talked to her about how it makes me feel but it caused us to have an argument and we're kinda of on good terms now but there is tension I get from her. It makes me sad bc live in the same area as my husbands family and I don't get that support from his family they all push me & my baby aside. My husband defends us but they push him aside as well. If it were for me I would move closer to my family but we are states away and we can't afford to be moving around. What do I do? I just want her to be fair or at least not make it so obvious bc I feel like when the boys get older it'll cause a lot of problems.

I have to share a room with my older sister, I m a college student and so I have a lot of assignments and projects to get done. My sister is so noisy and annoying, she refuses to put on headphones, if she is not playing games, shes talking with her friends or playing loud music or watching Netflix. I m the kinda person who gets distracted easily, I told her many times before to put headphones but she is just so stubborn and controlling. I cant go out somewhere else to study either, we live in a small house with lots of people and I dont have a car. Please any advice?

I think he did love me but showed it by being abusive, I felt tremendous relief when he died of cancer back in April. I miss what I wanted him to be, but not him. im a 15 year old mexican girl, and my parents bathe me and make me sleep with them. every day at about 8 or 9 pm, my dad carries me over to the bathroom. he holds me still while my mom takes my clothes off. then they carry me into the shower and they scrub me, wash my hair, and even wash my private part and butt. it's so embarrassing and awkward, but i'm not allowed to bathe myself because my parents don't trust me. then after bathing me, my mom dries me off and puts a diaper on me. then she puts barney pajamas with feet on me and carry me into their bed. i have to sleep between them at night. my parents talk bad about me in spanish for nearly 3 hours, and when they sleep, they snore super loud (especially my dad). they won't let me get off the bed either. i'm not allowed to use the bathroom because i'm wearing a diaper at night. i have 11 siblings, and i'm the only one of them that my parents bathe and force to sleep with them. however, all of my siblings, ranging from age 5 to 24, have to wear diapers too, even to college.

I am a guy in high school who has a older female cousin who is a joy to be with. She has a great sense of humor and we have a lot of fun together. I arranged for her to take me to school. He is a very bad man and he was emotionally abusive to his elders. His bad temper is what I meant to say and his arrogance and dishonesty.  He also was horrible to his elders until they got ill.  They were wonderful people who he mistreated. 

So my bf has a son with another woman before he got with me. Hes about to turn 3 now.  Shes been a nightmare for about the last 2 year. So his father hasnt really seen him Lately. One day shell say she needs a break from him. Well offer to take him then she says he will probably  cry. His bday is coming up. And shes planning on getting the mommy shark daddy shark and baby shark shirts for all them. Then she asked for our daughters size so they can get matching shirts and take pics. I told her if deven wanted a pic with the 2 kids then I will take a picture on his phone. And if her son wants pics of them 2 when they are older we can print them off.  Cuz I just think it's weird that you want my daughter with you guys all matching family shirts and hanging it on your wall. Especially  when you dont respect me or my first daughter. Then she goes around and ask my bf if he will put ththe shirt on her and let her takes pics. He said it was up to me. She gets all mad and starts calling me names and saying I'm being mean for her not being able to take pics with her brother.  Ok they are only 3 and 1. They aren't going to care and I didnt say they could be in the same pic. Just telling you. If the dad wants a pic with his 2 kids I'll take it on his phone and you dont need in the picture. 

I need a new computer but my mom and dad refuse to get me one and I have my own debit card and amazon account so I want to order a used laptop off of amazon and spend my own money to purchase it but i'm afraid my dad will see the box in the front before i do and get mad. how do i order it without them knowing! Where could I have it delivered instead?

My 12 year old daughter was getting bullied at school. We confronted the parents, who seemed like genuinely nice people. They said their daughter will have consequences, but told us about the backstory. The bully was adopted from China at 4 weeks old. She was like a normal developing baby until she started kindergarten. That's when her parents noticed how aggressive and detached she was. At first, they assumed it is simply bad behaviour and nothing else. When they sent her to the doctor, he said that she has trauma-related issues like trouble bonding and aggression. That she's more likely than most teens to develop identity problems too. Overall, I can see that this girl looks typical to the average person and is capable of many good things — but has emotional problems. Does simply being adopted effect a kid's mental state?

I m having a really hard time right now financially and emotionally. I have been dating a man for over 5 years and until recently, we shared a home. I had to move out because his son (now 12) was doing really creepy stuff like pulling out cat s whiskers and he tried to squish a kitten behind a dresser drawer. He did other things like trying to catch me fresh out of the shower changing, and tricking his little sister (now 10) into seeing him naked. My friend and I secretly called him "Baby Dahmer" but I really do think he s on the fast track to being a socio/psychopath. No joke. I did so many things to try to work on his behavior but alas, I felt like neither true parent realized the severity and really downplayed everything he did. I had to leave. So now I m in an apartment and I do work full time and I m going to school for medical coding, which is paid for by my work. I m really doing a lot to try and better myself. I ve been exercising and eating right for the first time. (I ve been overweight for about 15 years). I have suffered from migraines since I was 15 and I m 36 now. This makes it very hard to get a 2nd job on top of my full time job and school. I have 2 degrees already, so please don t think I m lazy. Each payday, however, all my money is spoken for and many times I end up charging my groceries on credit cards to survive. It makes me resent my boyfriend for his lazy parenting and his son even more. Do you think my boyfriend should be helping me?

Quick story: I called my parents to complain to them about how stressed I've been at work lately, and told my mom that I was planning a weekend trip to meet my sister. She told me "That's never going to happen" because she thinks I'm incapable of planning my way out of a paper bag. When I tried to explain that this trip was probably happening, she said, "Okay" in that smug tone parents use when their twelve year old is being argumentative. Keep in mind I'm a 24 year old with my own home and a job. My continued explanation was met with the same "Okay." I got frustrated and told her she was being obnoxious and hung up the phone. That was three days ago, and our only contact has been her texting me saying "Sorry you find me so annoying". She has ignored my calls, and I'm just making sure that I'm not completely in the wrong here. What should I do? I hate arguing with her but I don't want to apologize unless I'm wrong. 

I was away from my computer for all of 5 minutes when my brother went on my computer and looked up all my search history. Some of it was gay **** and other weird *** stuff. He has all of it saved cause he took pictures. He says he is going to show everyone. But I'm not gay. How do I solve this?

My sister was watching the story of Elizabeth Smart the 14 year old who was kidnapped from her own house back in 2000 or somewhere around there. She's now terrified of being kidnapped from home even though she's an adult but she has autism and mental disabilities she has a hard time understanding things. We live way out in the woods we lived there for 16 years now she's always been scared of someone coming into our house. Our mom has to go to work at 5 or 6 in the morning our dad isn't home so she's terrified now. She's also scared of her boyfriend who's a sex addict she's worried about him raping her now. He's a nice guy he wouldn't hurt anyone. The scariest thing is this was someone she knew who kidnapped her he worked for her family. She's not to trust anyone again. We can't get an alarm system our dad doesn't want one also we're not allowed to have a dog. We keep the doors locked at night and when no one is here. How can I help her feel better ?

They sheltered me my entire childhood. I finally woke up in 2019, only to realize I missed out on everything. I feel like I was born yesterday. I actually relate more to 2010's kids than 2000's kids. I know more about Serbia than the West. Now I have nothing to excite me I can never get the 2000's back. It was the last good decade to grow up in, and I experienced none of it. By no fault of my own. And having Aspergers doesn't help one bit. Now I'm more different than I already am. She was nervous meeting my family

Everyone loves my Grandmother and everyone hates me. All her 6 kids, always talking to her, kissing her, hugging her, treating her like a queen. And my cousins, her grandkids, love her and not me. They only care about her, and want to make her feel like she's so loved and special. But not one word to me. She loves all the attention she gets. If I was pretty maybe I would get love and attention from guys at school to compensate me, but I'm not pretty so I get nothing. I tried to talk to my mom about how jealous I am, and she said, that's their mother and grandmother, and everyone loves their mother and grandmother, and since before I was born they were close. No one is that close to me, so that's why I don't get included in conversations. 

My parents are embarrassed that people around them keep giving them their opinion of how I'm not even close to finishing college and that I still live with them. They say that i should at least almost be done but it has never been my intention to graduate since im so focused on being a screenwriter/director. This dream has been a dream of mine since way before i came to America at the age of 11. It's hard to save up for my career especially since i need to afford most things by myself and i only get paid 200 a week. I don't have a car but i do drive my mother's whenever i need to or when i help picking up my sister from school. I am twenty two years old. My parents has been out of their parents home since they were 19 or so. I feel like I've had the time to discover myself while I've been taking a break from college and there's literally no degree that doesn't scream like I'll be having a terrible time with whatever job that degree comes with. Im still fascinated by gaining knowledge through books, documentaries or video essay. And I keep networking with others who gives me a few small opportunities to record and shoot promos or short films etcc..
