Question: I accidentally ditched my best friend, and now I feel horrible.? Posted: 11 Sep 2019 05:23 PM PDT I couldn t sign in to our shared Google account, so I reset the password. I told her on Hangouts that I was going to change it, and suggested 2 passwords at once. She agreed to one, but I didn t know which. I then realized I did the wrong password, so I attempted to change it to the one they agreed to, but it wouldn t let me. I now feel so horrible that I feel sick, and Hangouts is our only mean of communication. What should I do when I see her in school tomorrow? |

Question: Is it actually good to have friends? Posted: 11 Sep 2019 04:20 PM PDT The reason I ask is because I have trouble in this area |
Posted: 11 Sep 2019 02:42 PM PDT I have minor social anxiety. I have had friends over the years who have came and went. A lot of it is partially my fault for not always keeping in touch. Anyway, it's been two weeks since I have hung out with a newer friend of mine and three weeks since I hung out with another. This is not uncommon for us to not hang out for 2-3 weeks but now I feel obligated to initiate something but the problem is, I get anxious to do it all the time. I am waiting for them to do it too. I don't want to seem like that clingy friend who HAS to hang out every two weeks or whatever. Is it okay to do it once a month instead of every few weeks? Give them time to miss me first? How long does it take to "lose touch" or "drift apart" from a friend in your experience? I don't want that to happen to me anymore! |
Question: Why does this happen? He confuses me?!? Posted: 11 Sep 2019 02:09 PM PDT He fidgets when talking to me, takes deep breath, can't look me in the eye while talking and has to look away then return his gaze. When he talks to me I can feel it because he's nice andhat other times he talks as if nothing. Usually instinct says if someone is interested right? Why these mixed signals? |
Question: Help me please!! How do I make new friends in high school? Posted: 11 Sep 2019 01:58 PM PDT Please help me, I'm a new freshman in grade 9 and it's my 2nd week already. I deal with lots of social anxiety, i am WILLING to try but I'm scared people won't like talking to me or maybe they will do something rude to me if I do. I'm a shy person and I also get easily intimidated by people. Not to be vulgar but I notice that people tend to have the resting bi**h face so that's what's intimidating me. I already have 2 people in mind that I want to become friends with and they seem like nice people, but I still feel nervous to do it. How can I make new friends and start a conversation with people without being awkward or creepy? I'm tired of living the lonely life with no friends. Thank you! |
Question: Do people with avoidant personality disorders often get misunderstood? Posted: 11 Sep 2019 12:24 PM PDT I often have people around me who tend to perceive my demeanor as incompetence, letting it lead them to have doubts about my intellectual capability and also not without thinking I am antisocial as well. When in reality there is much more to me than that. I just have an abnormal amount of anxiety than the average person. |

It makes me wanna give up even more. Im worthless like they all said. I guess i deserved the bullying |

Question: Is he just an outgoing guy? Posted: 11 Sep 2019 09:42 AM PDT I met a guy at a school party and we talked for a bit few months ago. Now whenever he sees me at school he always says hi and he tried to talk to me once about school work. He is always well aware if I am around him. He also talked to me last week, and I was surprised that he remembered my name since we last met was few months ago and we only talked for a bit. Yesterday, I was at the library reading and when I looked up I noticed he was looking at me, so he waved and smiled and I waved back. Is he just an Outgoing person? |
Question: Do you think my gf is overreacting? Posted: 11 Sep 2019 09:14 AM PDT Fyi Im a senior in high school. She literally got mad because I walk with my female friend to her class everyday and that my female friend had her arm around my arm. Don't you think she is a little insecure? |

Question: What should I do if My best friend is being distant? Posted: 11 Sep 2019 08:56 AM PDT I've been trying to go out with her for months,Her birthday was a month ago. She's been giving me excuses while finding time for a friend who's been living abroad. She's ignoring me. I feel like the only one making an effort. When I treat her the same way, she starts sharing posts about "bad friends". I used to ask her "what's the matter?" She used to tell me but now, she tells me that it's just a random post that she found so I stopped asking. Ive always treated her like a sister and took her and her sister with my family on vacation. I don't do this with other friends. We've been friends for 11 years. She didn't invite me to her sister's engagement. Her mum told me that she refused to invite me of all her friends because she loves us all equally (if she can't invite them, she won't invite me) I tried to tell her that I feel ignored sometimes, she was mad and told me I don't love me any less and treated me as if I was jealous of her other friends.I have no problem if she loves me and others equally but whenever I Do the same or go out with others, she distances herself and acts weird. I guess she doesn't want me to treat her the same way she treats me. Whenever I go on vacation with my family, she asks me if I'm going with my family or not. As if she wants me to invite her.She just came back from vacation with family and her sister's friends, and met a friend. Now her and her sister are sharing "bad friend" quotes. Should I be the one to start talking to her again? |
Question: Are all high school guys like this? Posted: 11 Sep 2019 08:53 AM PDT I am the only girl in my AP Calculus class. My classmates are all my friends and are great guys. We have a lot of home work so we sometimes gather at someone's house and do our homework together. This time it was my house. After we completed the homework, my mom served all the guys fresh homemade apple pie and ice cream. They loved it. We usually rotate whose house we go to for doing the homework. However the guys ask me if we could go to my house again for the homework. That is OK with me. I just thought they liked the pie and ice cream my mom made for them. Then one of the guys told me the real reason they wanted to come to my house. When mom served them pie and ice cream she wore her Daisy Dukes. Are all high school guys like this that they are horny for someone twice their age? |
Question: I need help with this? Posted: 11 Sep 2019 08:34 AM PDT When you have friends and they don't Check on you first or text you or call you first but they are nice people and you're the only one checking on them are they true friends? I have wondered about this quite a bit |

Question: I don’t know if I should give her a chance to be friends again.? Posted: 11 Sep 2019 07:22 AM PDT She and I were close friends for over 10 years until 3 years ago. But ever since she started dating / later married to this guy, she's changed. He was really controlling and would make her send pictures of drinks she was drinking when we were out and stuff. Gradually she started to come up with last minute excuses not to meet up with me and other two girls and stared to draw herself away. And one day we found this argument she (pregnant) and her then fiancé was having on Facebook comments where he called her *****. We were confused and a little annoyed by her actions, but still cared so we reached out to her on group chat to warn and put some sense in her head. That was the last conversation we ever had and then she blocked me on Facebook (only me and not the other 2) It's been almost 3 years. I've heard that she is divorced from the guy now. And today I got a message from her out of the blue saying that she was blind sighted back then because of her ex husband and regret what have happened between us. She's been wanting to talk to me but didn't have courage until now and she wants to try to fix the friendship... A part of me wants it and I miss that old friendship but at the same time I don't want it. During that no-friendship time, she was apparently talking bad about me to others too. I just wanna keep loyal and genuine friends in my life. I was curious to see if there are anybody who've experienced something similar to this? Thanks! |
Question: What would you do if you had won the lottery in my situation? Posted: 11 Sep 2019 07:05 AM PDT I want to a clarify I haven't won the lottery. However, I am a usually player and lately I'm getting a feeling something "big" is coming. I already know everything related to the financial side. (Boredom is not a good thing) The matter that worries me is the personal side. The thing that worries me the most is a friend called Sarah. She's one of the most nicest and the best friend I've ever had in my life. However, she comes from a similar background similar to mine and is someone who is quite materialistic and I don't think she would take it very well. For example, I bought new sandals once and she didn't stop making comments like: Oh, you bought them. Oh you have new sandals. Where I usually don't give a **** about those things. But she does. She's a good friend it's just everyone can't be perfect. I've already thought about telling them we received a large fortune of my grandma we couldn't get until now for X reasons. Is that a good idea? |
Question: What are the pros and cons of sexually harassing a coworker? Posted: 11 Sep 2019 06:42 AM PDT Pros: you can get up an attractive lady Cons: you will likely get in trouble |
Question: Is it a good strategy to borrow money this way? Posted: 11 Sep 2019 05:32 AM PDT I have a coworker who tends asking me to borrow money. This time he asked me for 250 and I gave it to him. He's only returned 150 which I knew it was gonna happen. I actually don't care if I lose the 100 but I want to let him keep it so he won't ask me for money again. |
Posted: 11 Sep 2019 03:45 AM PDT He made excuses that he's busy with his daughter , in law and father. Yet when I was with my daughter I made time for him. Worst thing was ... when I was in the hospital he declined to visit me because his wife said to him she would catch something since she was pregnant. My other BFF who's I'm closer he and his gf came with food and visited me almost daily. |
Question: Is it wrong to apologize and expect an apology back? Posted: 11 Sep 2019 02:29 AM PDT I had a disagreement with someone who had been sneakily disrespecting me and others continually. This individual has a history of disrespecting other members of the organization including the leaders and founders of the organization. Like physically starting fights and saying insults yet they always seem to get away with it with no repercussions. There was a meeting called to settle the case and it didn't fall in my favor as the people in the meeting were this individual's close friends. They sided with them and even helped them confront me. It seemed like multiple ppl vs 1 (me). I stood my ground, defended myself and even took responsibility for anything that I was confronted with. At the end of the meeting I realized that it was not truly a meeting but rather a "gang up" to validate the individuals feelings. I remarked that I had taken responsibility when confronted with complaints but the individual had not taken any responsibility nor apologized. I was quickly cut off by ppl in the meeting and was told that I was wrong for saying that the individual had not apologized even though I did. And that I should apologize and not expect an apology in return. I didn't care about an apology, I just wanted them to take responsibility as they had lied many times when I confronted them about their rude remarks which witnesses from the organization had also heard. |
Question: What does it take to get people to come to Karaoke night? Posted: 10 Sep 2019 10:51 PM PDT A friend of mine bought a restaurant / bar. He tried doing a Karaoke night, the first night they had 3 people, the 2nd night 5 people and the 3rd night nobody showed up. The DJ charged him $300 per night so my friend told the DJ he was no longer needed. It's a bit of a challenge because he wants Karaoke in the party room in the back so it doesn't disturb other customers who don't wish to participate. They party room can handle maybe 50 people max but there is also a basement my friend rents out for wedding parties, anniversaries, graduations, company parties and other major events. I'd say you could easily get 200 people in the basement if you open up the entire room. Getting the basement ready takes a few hours and extra staff, then there's clean up so he said if nobody shows up, then he looses money big time without even paying a DJ. I have some equipment which consists of 2 Rockville 15" speakers, 6,000 watt Rockville power mixer and a bunch of music. I normally just do some private parties for friends. I'd like to try it but there are several other places doing Karaoke in town so it's almost impossible not to do it over the top of another place. My friend told me I should have a $5 cover charge to get in the room then give prizes but if only a couple people show up, I'll make $10 and have to give out a $50 gift certificate so that sounds like a money loosing deal. I just can't see anyone paying a $5 entry fee to sing. I don't really see how I can hurt anything as Karaoke has already flopped. I'm basically not getting paid unless I can bring people in. |

Question: Did my classmate overreact to this incident? Posted: 10 Sep 2019 08:20 PM PDT Today in school I asked a classmate of mine if I could have a stick of gum, she obliged, unfortunately another classmate who hated our classmate that gave me a stick of gum got mad at me for asking this girl for a stick of gum and acted like I was in the wrong for doing so, I see people do it all the time and felt there was nothing wrong with that, I also told this classmate that I see nothing wrong with what I did and that it wasn't any of her business, she told me it was, she has strong hatred towards our classmate and expects everyone to do the same. |
Question: Why does the way i am bother them more than it bothers me? Posted: 10 Sep 2019 07:43 PM PDT Why does the way I am bother them more than it bothers me? I'm not much of a going out person. Most of the things I do I do it with my family and I have one close guy friend and a few girls I associate myself with at work/school but most of the time I go to hang out it's either with my sister, my mom and my like I said My best friend is a guy. My sister brought up how the other day my mom and my aunt were telling her how she needs to start inviting me out when she goes to the club with her friends and her boyfriend more often because I need to "get out more." and that I need "more friends." I have been out with my sister and her friends before and it's fun but I don't do it often. It doesn't bother me that all I mostly do when I don't go out with my best friend or out my sister and her friends and her boyfriend or out with my family, is go to work, school and I write short stories and Poems. I enjoy writing. I watch a lot of Netflix and I watch informative YouTube videos mostly on animals and I have dated and I'm talking to a guy right now as a matter of fact but that's my life and I'm fine with it. My aunt and my mom and a few other people in my family always judge me and call me out and single me out about being a "loner." As they say. I'm fine with who I am. it bothers me to know that my own family judges me and is trying to change me. That's making me more unhappy than me being a "loner." |
