He always asks me to practice with him before games. He will maintain eye contact while we talk. I am not sure if he is just friendly or could maybe be interested in me? We've been friends since first grade and have been in touch I'm going to give a detailed explanation: skip the next paragraph for the shorter one. So Charlie, is the "bad boy" type. Ew, it makes me cringe saying that but let me explain. He is fairly good-looking and has a great sense of humor. We have the same sense of humor actually so I laugh with him a lot. But, he talks back to teachers, and as my teachers say "smart-mouthed". On the other hand, he is EXTREMELY smart and knows a lot about social studies, or history. He is kind but is sort of scary when he's angry. He's slightly racist, and as I am Asian and he is Haitian. He gets upset when I say Niger, the country! But he feels like its okay to make racist remarks about Asians. This makes me extremely upset, and he stops when I tell him to. Other than that, he is an overall good guy. So, a few months ago he told me he liked me. In shock, I laughed and said I didn't. Although I do. He kept asking me if I would go with him to the dance, but I only said that I wanted to spend it with my best friend. So he stopped asking the next day. I thought about it and said, "Hey, I actually do like you. I was just a bit shy to admit it" and he said, "Well, I don't like you and I know your joking. So don't like me." also in a very playful tone. The next week, my best friend told him she liked him (I told her to go for it). And he said very softly, "I'm sorry, I don't like you". |

Before my boyfriend and I started dating, he was casually seeing her. They were not in a relationship and he realized she wasn't the one. She apparently was upset that he didn't want to be in a relationship with her. A few months later I added him on social media and we started talking, not completely aware that we used to work together several years ago. I learned early on that he used to hang out and hook up with my old friend. Sometimes I want to reach out to her and resolve any tension that may stem from that situation between her and him. Her and her best friend claim that my boyfriend used her and hurt her. My boyfriend and I have a great relationship and I've never once worried about him using me. I just wonder if she hates me for being with him. It's not like I "took" him from her. My boyfriend had to block her best friend on social media because she was telling him not to hurt me like he hurt her best friend. He thought she was trying to start drama since neither one of them have been friends with me for a year and both blocked me on social media. Bad idea to reach out to her in some way? Recently my friends and I have noticed a change in her attitude, there is no personal space, they are very touch feely, he gets very jealous when any other guy talks to her. They are constantly staring at each other and than get flustered. They never stop back hugging, arms around each other, looking out for each other. He sits with his arms on her thighs, when they dance it's forehead touching, staring into each other's eyes dancing. She says they are JUST FRIENDS, and nothing more. He sang a song by pointing in her direction "you are under my skin". A gift he gave her a interlocking bracelet, he never removes it but faithfully wears. Tonight, his roommate's friend snap chatted me to ask me for money. We don't know this guy. We only met him over winter break when he was invited by the roommate for the holidays. The roommate invited him to come for his spring break since he's out of school. The roommate currently lives with him girlfriend now. So we started talking (as friends) like a little over a month ago and we've grown closer as friends. But the thing is, I have a huge crush on her. On one hand, she slid up on something I posted and said that we need to hang out more because she "feels like she really connected" with what I said in my post. (I was just complaining about Valentine's Day) but on the other hand she doesn't talk to me too often when we're in a group. I feel like she diverts her attention to others. But when we talk alone, we have great, insightful conversations. I try to get her to notice me more but it seems like she's not interested. And idk if she's holding back because she doesn't know I'm gay but that seems like wishful thinking because idk if she actually likes me or not. A month or two ago I made amends with her and we re okay! So that brings me to yesterday. I decided to mess around with lyrics. For the first time in forever, I wrote various lyrics that brought me to tears. It was a love song and the more I wrote, I slowly realized I was writing about this girl. And now I m so confused. I don't interact with her very much, but i want that to change. I would catch her taking glances at me in the past, but she would seem nervous when I was actually nearby. But I never really paid much attention because I knew she had a bf back then. But now she's single. Whenever she's with her friends and her friends talk to me, she'll just smile at me and laugh, but not really say anything. But one time last month, she did actually try to talk to me. Both her and her friend were both flirting with me, but her especially; giggling at little things I would say or just from me looking at her. One time, by herself, she tried to flirt with me, but I could tell she was kinda nervous. Other than that, when she's by herself when walking past me, she'll either just look at me but not say anything or even smile, or she'll look down. One time I waved at her, and she smiled and looked down; but didn't wave back. She also checked "interested" when I post the event for my voice recital on Facebook, but its recital season and she didn't check anyone else's; just mine. We've been dating for around 3 months and he's met my mom briefly a couple of times but he's never met my father before due to my father not liking him but he's recently came around to the idea of me having a boyfriend and has suggested him to meet him. I'm 21 and this is the first real relationship I've had and is going to be the first man I've introduced to my parents and into my home. However, I'm slightly embarrassed with my house and it's conditions. For example, there's stains in my carpets, paint on the walls where we've tested different colours due to decorating, theres also the odd chip in the walls and there's the slight hole in my carpet due to having a puppy which we haven't had chance to replace and there's the chewed up furniture again due to having a puppy and not replacing it. I don't know what to expect or feel apart from the fact of being embarrassed. I'm hoping he isn't going to be disgusted with the house I live in. We are very clean people and always make sure the house is clean and there isn't a spec of dust around, it's just simply because my house isn't the nicest looking and is a little bit scruffy in places. Do you think he will see me differently or think I'm dirty or again be disgusting or make fun of my house? I don't know haha. Advice please!!! |
