Question: Had a girl at work call me "baby". She has never called me it before.? Posted: 31 Mar 2019 03:52 PM PDT We are friends and not dating and I have a girlfriend and she knows this. Is it normal for her to call me "baby"? Does it mean she thinks we are something more than just friends? |
Question: I’m starting to hate my friend..What should I do? Posted: 31 Mar 2019 02:57 PM PDT When we see each other, all she does is talk about her life. Sometimes she asks me if I have something to explain to her when she knows perfectly well that It's not the case (my life is very boring). When I'm with other friends it's true that sometimes we talk about banal things, but that helps me to get distracted. When she tells me her life all the time I feel really overwhelmed. It is true that I do not make much effort to change the subject but for example if someone is telling me a certain moment of their life I don't know how to change the subject without being noticed. She just explains what she has done every day since we haven't seen each other. since I started going out with her to discos the boys stopped coming up to me, everyone approachs her. I know this is from an envious person but I can't help it. Once, we went out to party she and I. We didn't have alcohol and she started to convince boys to give us. It worked out but while she danced with them I had to stand without doing anything. No boy came to me and it was something that had never happened to me before. Besides, It's not like I could move freely because I had to be waiting for her. She kissed five boys that night. When we were on our way home I was annoyed because she said: -All the boys are very tiresome. Referring that they didn't stop insisting to make out with her. She knew perfectly no one approached me that night so I thought that comment was unnecessary. |
Question: How do I end a friendship? (read details)? Posted: 31 Mar 2019 02:41 PM PDT I have a friend. She kicks me, punches me, and calls me mean. I want to end my friendship with her, but nobody else in my class likes me so it's hard for me to make friends. Also, I have selective mutism so it's worse. |

Question: Friend makes me uncomfortable? Posted: 31 Mar 2019 01:51 PM PDT I'm a sophomore and I recently moved to a new school mid-year. The first person to talk to me was this freshman, and she is still the only person I'm friends with (I have anxiety and it's really difficult for me to talk and make friends). She makes me SO uncomfortable though, it kind of ruins my whole day. She cusses every other sentence, used to get in fights, is demanding, punches me in the arm a lot... My teacher even called me out on it as I was walking out of class (in front of everyone). She told me not to let her bully me (that was the most embarrassing thing ever in case you were wondering). The school is super, super, small and we have so many classes together so it isn't like I can just avoid her. Plus, the thought of eating lunch and everything like that alone kind of terrifies me. Help? |
Question: How can this guy make a 34 on the ACT and be this dumb? Posted: 31 Mar 2019 01:09 PM PDT In French class, we read a sentence about a girl who goes to a bakery shop and buy a "religieuse" (a French pastry with chocolate.) The teacher asked what does the sentence mean, and a guy who made a 34 on his ACT said, "A religion!" Yeah, I'm going to the bakery shop to buy a religion. Doesn't matter if he's not fluent in French. Think about it for a second. Who tf buys a religion at a bakery shop?? Wtf?? He's in 12th grade. |
Question: Why are other women so hateful towards me? Posted: 31 Mar 2019 12:55 PM PDT I'm never going to understand this. I am 27yrs old. I have nothing, absolutely nothing. I work hard but I struggle a lot financially. Yet, someone woman are so hateful and rude towards me. They also compete with me by copying everything that I do. They copy the way I talk and the way I dress. These women travel around the world and can wear expensive clothes and hang out with celebrities. I'm never going to understand why they are this way towards me, I'm nice and I do for others. I never do anything wrong to anyone, my heart is to big for that. So, I don't get why they are so hateful towards me, it's so hard to make female friends. |

Question: How to fake being friends at work? Posted: 31 Mar 2019 10:16 AM PDT My workplace cult tells everyone that we are all family and I have been told that I must be friends with all of my coworkers. The management will not provide me with any guidelines on what I need to do differently in order to "be friends" with my co-workers. My impression is that if I don't meet this expectation they will fire me. How does one pretend to be the best of friends with all of their co-workers? |
Question: How to convince a friend to go traveling with you? Posted: 31 Mar 2019 09:47 AM PDT I'm a Junior in college, and I'm planning to graduate next spring. I've always wanted to go traveling, but one thing that I think would be really cool is to drive across the U.S. to see the Grand Canyon (trip of around 2 weeks). I'd prefer not to go alone, and I want to invite my best bud. I think it would be a cool thing to do right after graduating and before life gets too busy to do stuff like this. He is often pretty busy though, and I am not sure if he'd want to leave his family for 2 weeks. How should I try to ask him about going? Have any of you gone traveling with a friend, and if so how did you talk to them about it? Thanks |
Question: I think my friends are secretly dating? Posted: 31 Mar 2019 09:39 AM PDT I went shopping with two of my friends to get our other friend a birthday present. I went to go talk to a worker at one of the shops because I needed help finding things. when I was talking to the guy I went to the other side of the store where my friends were to tell them I was ready to go, I saw something strange.. they kissed. It wasn't a friendly kiss on the cheek, it was on the lips. Both are girls. I knew one of my friends was a lesbian, but I always thought the other one was straight. Do I ask them about it? What do I do?! |
Question: Why do I think about this every day? Posted: 31 Mar 2019 07:41 AM PDT Way back in September, I got into a dispute with my roomate who stole things from me and took her hands to my child while everyone else tried to defend her for it. This place was a maternity home and I ended up being kicked out. Anyway my life now is pretty good, I live in a beautiful three bedroom apartment in the city. But I constantly think about this, I dread ever running into these people in public. I no longer have any contact with the staff or roommates. I should be over it by now. But I don't know what the deal is. |
Question: People pinch my cheeks? Posted: 31 Mar 2019 07:20 AM PDT Okay so, I'm an adult (20 yrs) and everybody pinch my cheeks. I know I look like a child and everyone gets surprised when they found out how old I am but even those who know my age pinch my cheeks all the time! Even strangers! And one of my professors did recently. He just grabbed my cheek so hard and started pulling it and it hurt me for the rest of the day! Sometimes, it gets REALLY awkward and it makes me uncomfortable but usually I'm okay with it. I would understand it if I had HUGE cheeks but mine are just normal. Why do people do this? I'm curious to know. Is it because they like squeezing things or what? |
Question: Should I tell an ex-friend happy birthday? Posted: 31 Mar 2019 07:16 AM PDT We had a huge fallout due to her being friends with my ex and being disloyal to me... she posted and told me happy birthday but a few moths after that I told her to stop talking to me due to her being disrespectful to our friendship AGAIN. Should I tell her happy birthday even if I told her to stop being friends with me? |

Posted: 31 Mar 2019 04:56 AM PDT Me, my friend and our partners are in Japan on holiday and yesterday tried an onsen. My mate never relaxed into it. Once we got split off to the bath area he went shyer than I have ever seen. He kept a hand over the whole time and basically stayed in one tub while I checked out the rest. We got a massage before we left and when I asked him what he thought he just kinda shrugged. We've never seen each other naked to be fair, but we knew this would be a thing before we went in. He hasn't spoken to me since we left the place. The girls told me to apologise, but I don't get what for. What do I do? |
Posted: 31 Mar 2019 04:10 AM PDT The friend was never invited, and in fact, has never found out about any of the reunions until after seeing friends posting their after-reunion or during-reunion photos. |
Question: My best friend lied straight to my face? Posted: 31 Mar 2019 02:29 AM PDT I get bad vibes from my best friend overall, she talks badly about a lot of people including one of our best friends. We're a group of three girls and is really obvious that they prefer each other over me. even though (let's call them Sandra and Cami) Sandra has straight up treated Cami badly and called her really offensive things. I found out that Sandra was going to sleep over at Cami's house (they always make plans without me) , and because I get a feeling they lie often to me I called Cami and asked if she wanted to do anything and if Sandra was busy or not, she said that she was busy having a family barbecue and that Sandra was at her country house. Should I be concerned that we're close and she lied to me or is it not that big of a deal? |
Question: Is a guy being a gentleman when he puts his arms around a woman if she’s cold? Posted: 31 Mar 2019 02:02 AM PDT I went out with this guy and we left our coats in the car when we went to the arcade. So when we were leaving out it was cold outside. I told him it was cold and he put his arm around me. He and I also had sex that night. (It was something we had already planned previously. And it was my idea he initially had just asked me to hangout. He never mentioned anything about sex). I told him that I had fun with him and he said he did too. I'm not saying it means he likes me. I'm asking if it's a possibility. |

Question: Can someone still see a follower notification for you if you’ve followed them before? Posted: 31 Mar 2019 01:08 AM PDT I want to reconnect with an old friend I lost track of and unfollowed on Twitter a while back. However, I'm nervous my follow won't be seen and they'll continue to forget about me. Thank you in advance! |
Question: Is it bad that i think this sometimes? Posted: 31 Mar 2019 12:49 AM PDT I have a dear friend in my life who is extremly special to me, we hold a tight bond, a bond way more than friends. My friend and I are just connected on a deep level, we love each other deeply. We live states away, so most of the time we call each other every day. We only see each other about twice a year. I just love my dear friend as they hold a strong place in my heart... well we met up on our weekends as usual and we took a picture. I later looked at the photo and thought it was sweet but thought to myself judging on the looks of my dear friend; "how on earth do I get a long with this person?... (I said to myself) Why do I feel so attached to this person? Or feel such a strong love for them?" ... agaiin, I selfishly was judging on my dear friends looks and questioning how do I even get along with this person who looks like this? But then at the end of the day I still love my dear friend so much a look past that. The bond I hold with them is greater than anything else in this world. Is it bad that i have those moments? Why do i? |
Question: What to do when your friend is friends with your bully? Posted: 31 Mar 2019 12:05 AM PDT okay so basically a girl who said that i smell and is spreading nasty rumors and comments about me online about 2 months ago went to a concert the other day and it turns out that one of my friends is close friends with her and she doesnt know what the hell do i do i dont want to cause drama but im stressed tf out |
Question: How do we unfriend a family in real life? Posted: 30 Mar 2019 10:32 PM PDT We have family friends for about 15 years. We lived in the same town for a few years, but moved to a nearby state for the last half of the time, and now we see them only once or twice a year. We've had several situations between us that really rubbed us the wrong way, and finally decided that it's not worth the drama since we have many other friends to see when we go back to visit. Do we write them a note saying we feel we've drifted apart? Tell them the whole unflattering truth? Or just delay responding to them and make excuses to not get together and hope we fade apart over time? |
Question: How can a socially awkward guy successfully go on a date with a girl? Posted: 30 Mar 2019 10:17 PM PDT So i am a 27 year old male who had a video game addiction. Literally everday would play video games 12 hours until bed in my parents basement. But i am finally giving up video games. I got a job as a cashier and i decided to get one of my coworkers numbers. Turns out she is only 18 but she still gave me her number anyway and i think wants to hang out. I know she is young but since all i know is video games she is probably at better conversationalist than me even at 27! So i just want to practice on her at least to start somewhere but there is no way i can talk to her if all i know is video games. ========= What i planned on doing was writing a lot of different topics and explanations of those topics on a Microsoft word document and study it like school. Then when it comes to the date remember the things i studied so that i have things to talk about. Like use google.com to write down some movies, music, sports, amusement parks write about them. will this work??? |
Question: I want a best friend, but how do I find someone good enough? Posted: 30 Mar 2019 08:50 PM PDT I haven't had a best friend since like second grade, and I think that's attributed to the fact that I always have a problem with someone. I always have one thing to complain about that gets on my nerves enough not to be close friends with them, or not want to hang out with them without other people around to feed off of. They could be literally perfect. They could listen to my problems, I could genuinely enjoy being around them, etc; but there will be one thing that puts me off enough. I feel lonely. I don't know how to stop it. I wish I could overlook these little things, but I don't know how. It's almost like no one is good enough for me, but I know that's not true because I'm insanely insecure about my looks and personality. Can anyone give me some advice here? |
Posted: 30 Mar 2019 07:48 PM PDT So i am 27 years old an unfortunately my only interest was video games and all i did until this age was play video games 12 hours a day and thats it. EVERYDAY! But i want to be more social and i got a job and me and this 19 year old seem to watch the same movies and we both like games too. At my job im the oldest and everyone else is 18-20 years old so i can't find anyone my age to be friends with. So would it be weird hanging out with a 19 year old when im 27? I feel that he could be my son or something i dont want people to think i am weird for this. I am REALLY tired of playing video games all day. Im obviously socially awkward too since i know nothing but games. And i want to find a girlfriend / wife before i get too old. I got this girl number at my job and its been 3 months and i never ever text or called her because i know it will just be awkward. |
Question: Why would a friend accuse another friend of stealing when she did not steal? Posted: 30 Mar 2019 07:30 PM PDT She saw her friend wearing the ring and then insisted it was the ring another friend gave her. When she saw a cassette tape in her friend's car, she said that cassette tape was hers too, repeatedly, even though a close loved one gave that to her friend for her birthday and it was NOT the accuser's. |
Question: If a guy puts his arm around you, could he possibly like you? Posted: 30 Mar 2019 07:28 PM PDT I went out with this guy and we left our coats in the car when we went to the arcade. So when we were leaving out it was cold outside. I told him it was cold and he put his arm around me. He and I also had sex that night. I told him that I had fun with him and he said he did too. Question: Do I have a right to be upset? Posted: 30 Mar 2019 07:18 PM PDT So, there's this couple I used to be close with. Let's call the guy "Steve" and the girl "Kelly". Steve is a friend I've known since high school, and after introducing him to my then-fiance and meeting his gf, Kelly, the 4 of us became really close. So close they made us a part of their wedding almost 2 years ago. I'll admit, we kind of started drifting apart after they got married. But 5 months later, me and the fiance decided to call it quits. He talked to Steve about the breakup on the phone. So surely Steve told Kelly. Neither one of them reached out to me to see if I was OK or asked how I felt and, frankly, that hurt. They barely even acknowledged that I'm home since I've moved back after the breakup! I was living with my ex in his home state. And 6 months ago, I got word he was down here visiting and staying with Steve and Kelly. That's all fine and everything, but obviously they were sworn to secrecy. They don't even talk to me unless I initiate the conversation. I don't care that they stay friends with my ex. But I feel I've been "pushed out" now that me and my ex are no longer together. And it's messed up because Steve and my ex would have never been friends if it wasn't for me, and I've known Steve much longer. I mean, wouldn't you be upset too if you had friends do you this way? No, I haven't told them how I've felt. It's been a year and it still bugs me. Maybe one day I'll bring it up to Steve and Kelly. Am I wrong for feeling hurt? |

Posted: 30 Mar 2019 06:45 PM PDT So I've been friends with this person for about a year now. A few months ago she started calling me names at first I thought it was just a joke and laughed it off but now it's starting to get kinda annoying. She's always instigating arguments and saying she gonna fight me. I'm not sure if she's serious or not but when we were walking home yesterday (from school) I went off on her and now I feel bad. I know it wasn't right but I just lost my patience and said a lot of hurtful things and regret it. How do I deal with this person? Are they just playing around or should I distance myself from her?? Please help me out :/ |
Question: I’m 18, should I sneak my friend in?..? Posted: 30 Mar 2019 06:40 PM PDT So I'm 18 and about to graduate and turn 19 all in June. But I wanna hang out with a friend tonight and we're talking about me having my friend coming over and sneaking into my room to hang out for a bit. But the thing is I kind of feel bad because me and my mom are close and I love her so much. I'd feel bad sneaking someone in without her knowing so should I? I mean a part of me is saying that I'm 18 and about to graduate and and it's not a big deal considering it's my friend and she's probably done crazy stuff in her day and I just wanna hang out with a friend tonight. I don't know should I invite my friend over later without her permission ? Let me know what you think and no rude answers |
Question: Why is it hard so hard for me to make friends? Posted: 30 Mar 2019 06:28 PM PDT I'm in college. I transferred to a new university my sophomore year, so most people already had their friend groups established and weren't too open about making new ones. I'm kinda shy, and people often assume that I'm "stuck up" because I don't talk much. I had a very sheltered childhood, so maybe that's why i struggle socially? I want to have a real friend, but it is so hard for me to find one. I'm finishing up my junior year, and I'm very depressed and lonely. I feel as though I don't fit in with most people my age. Like stated before, making friends at this point in college is difficult because most friend groups are established and if I do happen to find someone to be with, I'll always be that "outsider" of the group. Has anyone else had this problem? I know sitting in my room and being alone 24/7 isn't healthy (and it's lowkey driving me crazy) but I feel like I have no other option. |
