Question: How to get close to someone? Posted: 26 Mar 2019 05:36 PM PDT Im a freshman girl. Theres this girl who I really want to be close to. We have sat next to each other in two classes for weeks now. We do talk sometimes but its so hard to keep a conversation going.I think its because were both introverts. I'm new to this school so I really want to create a bond with her, I just don't remembering it being this hard. |
Question: Should I reach out to this guy (please read)? Posted: 26 Mar 2019 05:14 PM PDT I am 28. I was on Facebook and came across a guy on my niece page that has been "thinking of suicide" I know exactly how he feels I been that teen. Luckily I had someone pull me outta it then. I want to reach out, but not sure being a stranger not knowing him will help or look alright. I want to help him in anyway I can. Just talk and see if I can change his mind etc. Should I reach out to him send him a message? |
Question: Why the do parents always talk about our problems to their friends or strangers? Posted: 26 Mar 2019 04:40 PM PDT don't they respect our privacy and space? this is one of the reasons why I don't trust my parents or tell them anything about outside life. I prefer not to talk about my business or family to my friends. They always tell my insecurities to my cousins and the rumor spreads which is annoying because my cousins are friends with my friends so everyone knows.. I tell my parents to stop and they just cant gossip.. |
Question: My friend is so rude to me always? Posted: 26 Mar 2019 04:02 PM PDT My friend "X" of 3 years is really fun, but other times she acts like a terrible friend. I always try to be a good friend to her and support her. I praise her for her accomplishments and make her feel good about herself. She, on the other hand, always one-ups me and tries to make everything with me a competition. X always says how ugly she thinks she is and how she wishes she looks like me. X is very pretty and I always try to make her feel better. X always compares herself to me. She criticizes her body and she points out features on me that she wishes she had. Other times, she goes on about things she loves about herself and puts me down. She criticizes me for the music I like, my clothing style, even the boys I think are cute. One time X was dating a boy and our friend was setting me up with a guy. X got annoyed that I was being set up with him because she was interested in him too, even though she has her own boyfriend. She also always compares her grades to mine and acts as if she is so much smarter. Another time, we were trying out for a sport and she told me that we weren't friends at tryouts. I never know if she is kidding or not about things. My family and I do everything for her and I feel as if she doesn't do the same. Although sometimes she is incredibly rude, other times she is a ton of fun to be around and she is really funny, sweet, and caring. I don't know what to do. I see her everyday at lunch and I can't avoid her if I ever ended our friendship. Also, when I tell her how I feel when I'm upset about something, she half apologizes and doesn't own up to things. |
Question: Why does he put up the picture of his retard midget son instead of himself on Facebook? Posted: 26 Mar 2019 02:47 PM PDT I have a friend who has a son who is a retard and a midget who does everything he can to make a scene when he's in public. He does nothing but scream, run around, and throw temper tantrums and yet he puts him on his Facebook instead of himself. People keep asking me why I am friends with a retard midget and I don't know what to say because I'm friends with the dad and not the midget kid. I don't know how I can deal with this. |
Question: Is she really looking to get my attention? Posted: 26 Mar 2019 01:55 PM PDT My friend has some dark moods where does not answer. She is in a dark mood now and she did answer finally to say she is preoccupied, don't want to talk, private issues She is really asking for attention |
Question: I feel like I need more friends? Posted: 26 Mar 2019 01:45 PM PDT I'm in middle school ( eighth grade) and I've been best friends with this one girl for about the first two years of middle school but now we have drifted apart and I can't really connect with her any more. She hangs out with this other group of girls and all they do is talk **** about people and gossip. I feel like that new group of friends she has doesn't like me and every time I try to become a part of the conversation they exchange looks with each other like they aren't comfortable with sharing. I always feel like I'm in the sidelines when I'm with them and never apart of the group because I don't really get along with them? They make jokes that I don't find funny and etc. I don't know what to do, I have some friends I can hang out with but she was my main bestie and now I feel all alone. Will things change in highschool? |
Question: What characters do you look for in a friend? What do you consider a real friend? Posted: 26 Mar 2019 01:31 PM PDT |
Question: I feel like no one cares or likes me? Posted: 26 Mar 2019 12:53 PM PDT It never fails. I always feel like I'm not liked by anyone or people just find me annoying. I get an oculus while in a group of people because I feel like I'm the person people typically talk **** about when I'm gone. I'm currently in a nursing class and though my class was supportive of me for a while but now I feel like they all just hate me and find me annoying. I really want to quit now because I just feel lonely... it's not just like this in class either. I feel lonely in life, the only person I feel is there for me is my husband. All my friends have turned away from me. All I try to do is be a good friend but I always end up getting screwed over. I'm getting deprsssed and don't know how much longer I can feel this way before I give up on life completely |
Question: Does my friend like me? Posted: 26 Mar 2019 12:48 PM PDT So my friend Justin is in the Marines. He's overseas but we still talk to each other very often on fb. Today he sent me a video of us at a concert where I was dancing. He added " I watch this whenver I miss you :(. :)" and he added the emoticon I'll post below. Was he saying he actually misses me? Does he like me? Why would a guy say this to a girl? |
Question: Would it be a good idea to make friends with this person? Posted: 26 Mar 2019 12:47 PM PDT What do you think of this man? - He's 29 years old. - Lives in a small apartment building. - Has no High School Diploma - Impulsive - Selfish and egotistical - Works full-time at a cookie shop and gets paid $12-$13.50 hourly. - Doesn't have a driver's license. - Uses other people for his own personal gain. - Single Parent - Picks physical fights with women and avoids them with men. - Gets lowkey jealous of other people and either tries to compete against them or make up lies to destroy their reputation. - Throws tantrums and rages when things don't go his way. - Is willing to do anything to get what he wants. - Very opportunistic. - Takes advantage of poorly educated, homeless, trashy women and pressures them to having sex with him in exchange for giving them food, money, and shelter. - Goes home and beats the living **** out of his son and daughter after a bad day from work telling them he's teaching them self-defense when their faces are bruised up and almost black and blue. - Can NEVER look at the big picture when it comes to things. Would you make friends with him or would it be a bad idea? |
Question: Why is it common for people to stop caring about their appearance as they age? Posted: 26 Mar 2019 11:58 AM PDT I'll use an example and then you explain to me the possible reasons as to why these people stopped caring about their looks compared to when they were in their early 20's. I had a couple buddies of mine, who were gym rats in their early 20's. All they cared about was hitting the gym and then going clubbing on the weekends. Now that they are approaching 40, they don't go to the gym nearly as much, they don't go clubbing anymore and they don't really care how tan they are or how good of shape they are in as much as they did when they were 21-22 years old. |

Do you think they care |
Question: Was I wrong for blowing up her phone? Posted: 26 Mar 2019 11:39 AM PDT A good friend of mine ignored me for two weeks, because I blew up her phone. We were hanging out one day and she told me she's let me know when she got home and didn't say anything. Lately a few things been happening to her ( car broken into, random person keeps calling her from prison she doesn't know, she was talking about having to change the locks on her door because someone might be taking her things). So I got a little carried away and blew her phone up asking if she's okay, because she always lets me know. But she saw me as a weirdo and left. Were no longer friends because I told her she was taking advantage of me because when she got back to me she asked me if I can put a 8500 $ loan in my name for her cosmetic surgery. And kind of kept pushing me to get a credit card after it declined. So she blocked me for saying that . But was I wrong for blowing up her phone like that. And do you think ignoring me for two weeks was okay?( we've been friends for almost 4 months , talked everyday, hungout 3-4 times a week) |
Question: (Friendship advice) What should i do? Posted: 26 Mar 2019 11:33 AM PDT Hi im bestfriends with this girl at school and she literally dislikes all the friends i have literally just for small reasons like : -Theyre always trying to talk to me -They message me -When they want to do homework with me and they even invited her ( my bestfriend ) to come but she always says no . -She even gets angry when they wish me a happy birthday and gets me gifts?? I dont know what to do when im in the same class as her and my other friends i feel like i cant speak to them because she always ends up getting angry with me and says " K see how it is " ALL THE TIME and then she doesnt speak to me for the whole day , what should i do? |
Posted: 26 Mar 2019 09:31 AM PDT I may sound like an asshole saying this, but I think my friend faked having cancer to get attention. Here's my reasoning, if you're having a conversation with her, and you're not talking about her, she'll chip in and say something like, "you know, I used to have cancer" and then everyone starts feeling sorry for her and the conversation shifts to her. Secondly, when I asked her a few questions about her time having cancer, she never mentioned what stage she had, she never mentioned all (or some) of her hair falling out, she just said that she had leukemia when she was 8, and went into remission after. So, she wears ankle braces because her cancer messed up her ankles, and so I play volleyball frequently, and I always ask if she wants to play along, she always says no. However, she met a guy who's on the volleyball team, and all of a sudden, she doesn't wear her ankle braces, and she can now miraculously run? She also doesn't follow any cancer survivor groups on social media, maybe that's a dumb speculation, but I'm starting to think that she didn't have cancer. However, if she did, then maybe she just exaggerated what really happened. |
Question: CrossFit is changing my girlfriend - need advice!? Posted: 26 Mar 2019 09:04 AM PDT I work at Home Depot and met my girlfriend who also works there a year and a half ago. I'm pretty fit and run 5K, 10K and occasional Half-marathons. Heather was a few pounds overweight and her mom has paid for her to join a CrossFit gym about 11 months ago. It's worked great! But as she really got into the lifestyle, she has basically cut out time with my friends, her old friends and just hangs out with and talks about her new C.Fit friends. Basically everything we do now has to revolve around her and them. A few Weeks ago at a party with her CF friends, while pretty drunk, I was challenged to arm-wrestle one of the other girls. She was really muscular and had obviously done CF for many years. I didn't want to but finally agreed. Amazingly, she beat me easily. I felt like I was arm-wrestling a guy. I was totally embarrassed and then the girls started challenging me and Heather to arm-wrestle. I figured that was my only hope at salvation and jumped at the chance to quickly win a match. Unfortunately, Heather had gotten really strong and there was even a bicep muscle visible in her arm. I was a bit shocked as she had never flexed before and there was obviously some new CrossFit muscle there! As the match went on, she eventually overpowered me and forced my arm down. I had never been more embarrassed in my life! Now, Last week she insisted on driving us to the movies, for the first time ever. I always drive. What do I do now to reign her back in? |
Posted: 26 Mar 2019 07:18 AM PDT I was talking to this guy online. Then he bailed on me when we were supposed to meet in person so I called him out on it. I didn't talk to him for over a week but he continued to view and reply to my Instagram/Snapchat stories so I ignored him. Yesterday he text me and I answered him with very little responses because I didn't want to talk to him. Then he said " my backs hurting from trying to carry on this conversation" I replied "well my stomach hurts from you trying to make an effort" so he blocked me off both sites 😂😂. I feel like I'm dealing with a child. If he wanted to talk so bad why couldn't he just apologize? |
Question: Funny things to say to my girlfriends friends.? Posted: 26 Mar 2019 05:46 AM PDT Can be anything. Dirty, a stupid joke or just a random fact he*l I don't care just put something. Also my girlfriend can or can not be with her friend when I say it. Funniest one gets best answer. |
Question: How do you unghost a friend? Posted: 26 Mar 2019 01:15 AM PDT |
Posted: 26 Mar 2019 01:02 AM PDT Some years ago, I joined a diff. extracurricular groups at the college I was attending at the time. I met all sorts of people, who, having never seen me around school before, assumed I was an 18 year old freshman. Only I wasn't...I was 25. Nobody ever questioned the narrative, or at least if someone did know (they did still have that mylife crap in 2009-2011), they never called me out on it. I pulled it off because 1. I look REALLY young for my age (I'm 35 now but I could still pass for 19), like unusually so. 2. Nobody knew who I was prior. There's no record of me at my old HS. I just said I was homeschooled. 3. They all assumed it. First time I was asked my age I attempted to be honest and they didn't believe it, friends said "No you're the youngest here. You're gonna make so and so feel old, he really IS 26." If I went in with a different angle I wouldn't have had the same experience. I was the cool, new kid who "drank while underage" (but didn't, LMAO) and under whose wings the cool older students took. I didn't get that experience when i first entered college, so I got it years later. Nobody ever found out. |
Question: Should I avoid friend? Posted: 25 Mar 2019 11:27 PM PDT Me and my friend went out to drink with some other guys, my friend had a few tequila shots and blabbed to everyone stuff I told him In confidence, stuff I felt was none of there business as I don't know them very well. The next time I saw my friend I said I don't like how you blabbed all my business to other people, he didn't even say I'm sorry or whatever, just oh I don't remember. Should I totally disavow this guy, I should have known about this guy as when he talks to me he always talks sh!t about other people. |
Question: What to do when someone hates me? Posted: 25 Mar 2019 10:51 PM PDT This girl I barely knows clearly hates me. I only know her because I am close friends with one of her friends and we talk occasionally but only when I'm with my other friends, never just alone with her. One day I was on the lunch line and she comes up behind me and starts asking me questions with my science test. I tell her my grade, talk about the class and out of no where she just comes in with a, "No offense but, when I first saw you I thought you looked like a horse." I was like okay... and then she found out I wasn't in *insert AP class* and then she gave me that look and went like "oh...". Today she went up to me again and just randomly said, if you're gonna wear that I wonder what you're gonna wear later in life. The thing is I wasn't even wearing anything revealing. I was wearing a black turtle neck with short sleeves. I ask her what she meant and she was just like "oh you always like wear crew tops and tank tops." At this point I'm just super confused I wear hoodies half the time and the other half I do wear other things I pretty much always wear a sweater over it. So, do I just ignore her or do I confront her about it? |
Question: How to deal with my best friend’s annoying friend? Posted: 25 Mar 2019 09:25 PM PDT I've known my best friend since 3rd grade and we are in grade 11 now. He has this other friend who I've never really gotten along with. He's known him for a little longer than me. I hate him because he ALWAYS takes my friend's side, no matter what. Even when he's wrong he still d*ckrides him no matter what. A true friend would point out when he's wrong. He's just an a$$hole in general. He thinks he's above me and he's really not. He'll just act superior because he thinks he can beat me up, but I'm not scared of him because he always likes to talk sh*t but never backs it up. He's white but he has like a ghetto accent and it's annoying, kind of like JRoc from Trailer Park Boys but not nearly as exaggerated. He's like the devil on my friend's shoulder, and unfortunately my friend chooses to listen to him. My other friends are starting to see how annoying he is and how he is turning our friend into an idiot. Should I just stop hanging out with him if he is just going to listen to that moron all the time? |

Posted: 25 Mar 2019 06:02 PM PDT I'm a 24 year old guy, and I was best friends with this girl for over 5 years. back in early 2017 our friendship ended, we had a really big fight and she didn't want to talk to me anymore. she blocked me from all her social medias, but ever since then I can't stop thinking about her. I've met a lot of good friends but I still can't forget her, she was such an amazing person with me she cared so much about me. she was there through all my good and rough moments. Even my family loved her and I always feel upset because I lost her, and I feel like it's destroying me inside everyday. I lost my smile since the day i lost her, what can i doooo please help!!???!!?! :( We had a fight because I lied to her. I was only trying to protect her |
Posted: 25 Mar 2019 09:35 AM PDT My best friend in the entire world was assaulted & gave birth to fraternal twins. A boy and a girl. She is a phenomenal mother but she gets so much crap for not having a male in the picture for both kids. Her children are very respectable & happy and very protective of her. But all the people saying all this crap makes the kids ask questions and....what can I do to help her? |
