The last girl I was with I would treat badly whenever I felt insecure and eventually she left me. It's something I regret daily. The problem is I get insecure when girls I like talk to other guys and this makes me lash out at them and treat them badly. In turn this makes them dislike me and I end up ruining the potential relationship. I end up alone because of this problem. It's a bad cycle/self fulfilling prophecy and it really is damaging my life which is why I need help to fix this. I try my best to control my insecure feelings but the feeling overwhelms me and I act impulsively only to regret it later. |

I've only had 1 girlfriend and it was cool for a while until she started to get into heavy drinking. I don't drink never have . We were getting into arguments all the time, I wouldn't let her drive after she drank it pissed her off. I just didn't want her get hurt or hurt someone else. I never cheated on her. I was good to her I really tried to be good. She just got into alcohol and partying too much for me. She did throw an empty beer bottle at me once it broke on the wall. I'm happy now being single and enjoying my life now. I don't know if it was me who was wrong or her but I really don't want to go through a situation like that ever again. Should I try dating again or just be happy now? |

We've remained on very civil terms and talk every once in a while but I always remained set on healing and moving on with my life. I still have extremely strong feelings for him , as he does for me, and the relationship was very healthy and didn't end because of fighting, unhealthiness, etc. we just needed time to grow as individuals. He called me the other day saying that I was such an amazing person and that he's so thankful to have such a supportive and kind person like me in his life. I was completely caught off guard until he told me that he was in a very serious car accident. The car was totaled and he's very lucky to be alive. I immediately went to see him. He was scared and stressed and obviously still in shock. He cuddled into my arms like a scared little boy. He said he looked at life in a different perspective . I want to be there for him and support him as much as possible, but I fear that I might mess up my whole healing process by helping him a lot , considering one of the biggest reasons we ended the relationship was because I helped him so much that he didn't know how to live on his own. I want to be there for him so badly, emotionally and physically , but I have to remember that I matter too. Has anyone been in a similar situation? What did you do to remain distanct but also give a helping hand when necessary? |

Last week, he started chatting with me more during class, asking me if I had a boyfriend, and asked for my phone number, which I gave to him. He texted me the next day calling me a cutie and asking how my day was, etc. We chatted for a little while. The next day he texted me asking me on a date, and I said yes. He kept complimenting me and seemed truly interested in talking to me. We texted all weekend. On Monday morning, he texted me saying that I looked nice and that we could talk about our date when we see each other in class. Then, when we were in class together, we talked to each other and he still seemed interested in talking to me like before. I didn't receive any texts from him on Monday or Tuesday night. Then, when we were in class on Wednesday, he didn't say a word to me, or even make eye contact with me. I tapped his shoulder and said hi to him, and he said hi back to me, but the look on his face seemed like he was disgusted that I was speaking to him. After class, I texted him "hey", and he never responded. On Friday, he ignored me the entire class period again. Later that day I texted him asking him "What's been going on? You've been quiet." No response. What could have possibly caused him to lose interest so quickly? I was only friendly to him in class on Monday, I don't think I did anything wrong that would make him suddenly dislike me. And what should I say to him in class on Tuesday? |

Wanna hear your thoughts. Basically I grew up neglected by my mom w/ a cousin that frequently molested me. In middle school I didn't really have any friends. In high school I finally started to be pretty and I got a lot of new attention. When I was 15 I went on my first date with a guy. He raped me and then broke my hand. I tried to report it but police said it wasn't enough even though I had a text from him admitting it. I lost most of my friends because I wasn't "fun" anymore. I kept trying to do well in school and do a sport I hated because I wanted better for myself, but the whole time I was almost in a suicidal haze. By 17 I started to feel better but I had an onset sex addiction. I slept with 4 random guys from tinder in one week. I got involved in politics and scored really high on the SAT, enough to get an option to transfer into an ivy league college my sophomore year. Unfortunately my sex addiction continued. My freshman year I was known for "hurting" men. I became addicted to many different drugs, the main being cocaine. With my sex addiction I treated sex as a way to see how many people I could get to actually like me. Despite how successful I was I still felt horrible. I was a sex worker to buy drugs for a while. I slept with more than 50 people including a Goldman founder's relative, an arms dealer, multiple cocaine dealers, etc, all with unique stories. I went to rehab and started my year at an ivy league college. I quickly met a really high quality pre-med guy, 6'6, very attractive, treats me like a princess and we've been dating ever since. I made friends that actually cared about me and am thriving professionally with an internship at a top investment bank this summer. I've been doing really well. |

Now I've had deep depression for almost all of my life. relying on another to give me happiness is not the way I want to live my life because I get into a relationship then it ends with flames and I'm back deep in my hole. But if I'm single for a while and I don't talk to any girls at all then I start to be more ok. I couldn't say that I'm genuinely happy at that point but im better. Even if I just start to talk to a girl, I get too attached too quickly. I know this is bad thing and that's why I hurt myself so quickly. I feel like just staying single for a while and not talking to any girls and just stay to myself then I would be ok, but I constantly have an urge to be searching for another female, it almost seems like that's all that gives me any motivation at all. In the past we have hooked up but there was no emotional feelings involved.. we both were single and bored. Between that we have had relationships and didn't care.. now things have changed. Over stupid things that should have been easily avoided. We both agreed it was best to end things. We broke up very peacefully. It was super lighthearted and we ended on good terms. We still loved eachother but decided that after all the fighting, we were tired of it. I regretted this soon after and asked for him back, but he told me no. He kept telling me "Splitting is the best decision". After a few days of trying to contact him I gave up. I still wanted him but I knew it was best to give him space. He reach out to me asking why I had stopped trying to contact him. Him and I have a class together at school. I keep my distance during class and don't talk to him unless he talks to me and he always does. He flirts with me, pulls my shirt over my butt (so nobody else can look at it). Calls me pretty. | Posted: 30 Mar 2019 04:35 PM PDT The only person who has the job of stroking a woman's ego is her husband, so it's not exactly appropriate to flirt with other men in effort to get them to tell her she's attractive. It's even worse if her only objective is to reject them when they ask her out after she flirted with them. So let's say she says "I'm getting fat" and a guy catches on to the fact that he's only a "big sister" to her. I'm not saying he should bluntly say, "Yes, you're fat." But couldn't he politely suggest a gym that she could join. Men have feelings too, so a woman should get a taste of her own medicine. I mean, she herself said she's fat. And since the man she's talking to is NOT her husband, father, or brother, but instead another sucker, shouldn't he politely agree with her so she can see what if feels like to be hurt? |
