I'm legally an adult, my father is (mostly) emotionally abusive, and it's critical that I separate him from my life, but I can't leave my home right now. I can't get into specifics because of the word limit, but he'll tear at my self esteem whenever he's in a sour mood, and when I try to confront him, he flips between denying ever doing it or that it's for my own good. My therapist continually told me that he is causing the majority of my depression, plays a huge factor into why I'm so critical of myself, and I should get away from him, but there's nothing I can do at the moment. I'm stuck living here until I graduate college. I do not want this man in my life (so please don't suggest reconciliation), but for the next four years at least, he's going to have to be. If I try and run, he'll surely raid my bedroom and start breaking/selling my personal belongings. What can I do to separate myself from him for now?

I don't call her ever or text her individually. When she comes home to visit and I'm there, I don't talk to her really or comfort her.

I don't but it seems like a lot of people think those two usually go hand in hand.

Houses keep burning down in my subdivision. Why? There are so many empty places in my subdivision any more where there once was houses. Are people collecting insurance or What?

My boyfriend (been together 1 year and a half) lost his brother 6 months ago .. i tried everything to be there he s depressed and sad he refuses to get out of bed sometimes .. he lost his job too .. we've been having some silly problems that made things even harder .. i dont know how to be there for him .. i tried talking to him.. giving him space .. hamging out with him .. nothing really worked .. and our relationship is not as strong as it was bcz of the recent problems we had .. how can i make things better for him without projecting my own needs now

Where i live in front of my subdivision there are three furniture stores in a role and a really ran down Moby dick and liquor store. There is a dollar store across the road. There are many one person owned auto repair shops alongside with a dozen warehouses. There are gas stations in the area also where there are a lot of people loitering outside that harrasses you for money or a lift when you go to get a tank of gas. There is a lot of payday loan places not too far from here and cash loan advanced places, a walmart and krogers isn't too far from here also. There are a whole lot of foreign food markets and restaurants around the area that are only intended for their kind to eat in there, not too many are American friendly.

Hey guys. This is long. I'm just going to hop right into this. Last year I got pregnant with a guy who I had been seeing for three years. Right before I found out I was pregnant, a girl showed up at his house saying she was his girlfriend. They were messing around for six months. Fast forward to now, they got back together and are currently married. I'm pretty sure she knows nothing about my baby. He disappeared on me while I was six months pregnant and never showed back up. I found out he disappeared because they were getting back together. Here it is March and I am still hurting so bad. Tonight I reached out to his step mother to let her know she has a grand daughter. I feel foolish now, but I guess I'll find out her response tomorrow morning. I want to put him on child support to show him that he can't treat anybody any kind of way with out consequences being attached. I know deep down inside if I do this, it will be out of spite and not because me or my daughter needs his help. I guess I want to teach him a lesson, since Karma seems to be treating him nice. Guys please give me your opinion, even if it's something I don't want to hear, please let me know. Was I wrong for reaching out to his step mother? Am I wrong for really thinking about putting him on Child support? Thank you

I feel like i'm in the twilight zone. My Fiance went on a pig hunt with a couple of his buddies about a month ago. We finally got the meat that was distributed and he gave away somethings since its 160 pounds worth of meat. We got a bunch of ribs, bacon, steaks, roasts, tons of different sausages, pork chops, and scrapple. (keep in mind it's just the two of us in the house). He gave all about 20 packets of scrapple to a friend since we don't eat it, and different meats to my sister. And hes saving some for his dad, nephew and brother in law who live about 3.5 hours away. A friend of mine came by today and i decided to give her 2 packets of chops (4 total) a steak, and 2 sausages. My fiance comes home and i tell him what I did and he gets upset that i gave this meat to her without asking him. Meanwhile we have a freezer in the garage full of the stuff. As i'm talking he closes the door to the bathroom which he never does totally cutting me off and ignoring what i have to say. I really don't see the big deal, are we really going to sit here and argue over food??? I don't see the big deal to this. My friend lives alone and she struggles a bit so i thought it would be helpful to give her some meat from a pig that costed $400. Am i missing something?

my neighbor is 98 and has been talking to me lately about how she's ready to move on and is waiting for her time. she mentioned herself that she's going to give her house and everything in it to her step-kid and that she'll most everything and throw out everything not of cash value becuz she doesn't want any of it. it makes me so sad to hear that becuz she has all of these paintings and beautiful china sets that she painted herself along with royal doultons that she's been collecting since she was a little and a bunch of other stuff. it just makes my heart so sad to think that she said her step kid is just going to get rid of everything. especially like the royal doultons she's been collecting since her childhood and the stuff she painted herself like that has deep personal value. i love her so much, she's been in my life since i was a child and is like a second mother to me and it hurts to think about everything of hers just getting thrown out like it's worthless. i was thinking the other day about asking her if she'd be willing to pass some of those things to me so that they won't get just tossed out or sold at the estate sale. and then i felt like such a horrible person for even thinking about asking her that because she means so much to me and i don't want her to think i only am using her for stuff because lots of people do that with older people. but i wouldn't even sell any of it i'd keep it all forever and cherish it. idk do ya'll it would acceptable to ask her?

I used to have a girlfriend, we were together for almost 6 years...She basically got tired of waiting for me to propose and to have a more estable job and cheated on me...at the end, I was left with many doubts since she complained about a lot of things about me, maybe to justify her cheating... And it made me wonder something ....i used to write her small love letters during our anniversaries or birthdays ,I would write how much I loved her and I would glue small cartoons like those from Facebook (stickers)cartoons with hearts and little figures kissing each other, etc...romantic stuff... But it made me wonder if she even liked those after all she did. She was 25 during our last year, do women this age like that sort of things? or was it too immature from me to do that ?

So I found out that my ex told another girl that sucked at having sex with him. But every since we've broken up he's been texting me wanting to hookup and we did a couple of times and he literally told me how much he loved it with me. I don't plan to have sex with him now after what he told her but I know he's gonna ask me again. Should I confront him?

Whenever I watch ghost paranormal tv shows where people goes into real haunted houses, and other ghost paranormal shows, my fire alarm begin to chirp, not alarm but chirp. I cannot understand Why? It is typically one fire alarm that chirps, in one of the back bedrooms. It only does this when I've watched a tv show of paranormal ghost real haunted house. Why?
