Posted: 12 Mar 2019 01:14 PM PDT I don't want her in a bathing suit in front of and next to other men and putting her in a risk of physical and verbal harassment. I'm not sure there is a lifeguard ton watch that can prevent these things. She asked me to then come use the hot tub and or swimming pool with her but I don't feel comfortable being in a swim costume and in water in front of other people. Or is it not that bad and I should just go with her?
Question: Do you ever regret being disrespectful/talking back to your parents? Posted: 12 Mar 2019 12:58 PM PDT I'm a 16 year at this point At this point, I don't really care who starts our (my mom and ) arguments it because as of now, I am honestly trying to avoid conflict. In my opinion, African parents can be too dramatic and they can argue over the littlest thing, but I need to hold my tongue and not say anything back even when they are in the wrong. I cringe whenever I think of the times I talked back to my parents. I don't plan on having kids myself, but whenever I see kids younger than me being disrespectful, I just shake my head. I also see these videos of kids going off on their teachers. It's no wonder I don't blame teachers for physically fighting back. I also see why there are shortages of teachers. Like last weekend, I snapped and I wanted to burn a book because I was so frustrated with feeling like a failure in life. I picked the tub because there was nearby water to douse off any fire and I don't burn anything. My mom noticed the argument and got mad at me, but it was mostly over the fact that I wanted to get rid of the book. She had EVERY right to be angry with me for that. If it was my child, I would have been so pissed off because the child could have done it outside and she could have burned the house down. I even apologized for almost slamming the door because it was disrespectful. I was just upset at the fact that she didn't understand how I felt.

Question: Step sister is working for a presidential campaign -she thinks she is bigshot now? Posted: 12 Mar 2019 11:16 AM PDT While we were younger, she forced me to do oral sex on her a few times a week. I didn't know if it was wrong, she was 8 years older than me. She wont answer my texts, what would you do? I feel damaged.
Posted: 12 Mar 2019 11:07 AM PDT I don't mean happy that he died but happy with life. He was 16 and died Friday before last in a car wreck. The funeral was this past Saturday and yesterday was the last day of the family being here. The other student who died had his funeral yesterday so school was closed. I went to the service with my Dad and cousin. Today I was to go back to school but schools are closed where I am cause of snow. So tomorrow will be the first day back to normal with school and all. Most the family left Sunday and the grandparents left early yesterday. So how do I get back to normal now? I am 15 by the way and a high school Freshman. My brother was almost 17 and a Junior.
Question: Opinions on letter sister flash people in front of you? Posted: 12 Mar 2019 11:01 AM PDT What are peoples' thoughts on brothers not saying something towards their sister flashing people in front of them? This is in reference to a real situation amongst some people I know and there's a disagreement on if it's normal or not fully acceptable... Specifically, brothers and sister go to concert. Sister informs brothers she's gonna flash the band/ people during the concert for a specific song. Brothers say "alright cool" and that's that. In your opinion is this right? Even though obv the sister can do whatever she pleases, should the brother atleast express how she shouldn't do it? Or is it not really an issue and he's right in just going along with it happening? This isn't a question about the morals of flashing, so plz no "**** are ****" comments. It's more directed towards it's happening and being condoned in the presence of family/ brothers... Also I'm not asking this in a control women way. I'm asking it in a "not advising not to do something type of way"... Didn't realize words I used were going to be blocked out. So instead of what I wrote i'll use "breasts are breasts" comments. Also, the sister is the youngest out of the sister and brothers if that has any influence on opinions. she's 20 compared to brothers in late 20s and early 30s.
Question: My brother is my son? Posted: 12 Mar 2019 10:50 AM PDT I feel a bit insecure to tell him, but yes my mother and i have had a son. It was in 1988 and i grew up with no father, and mom wasnt drunk but i didnt force her we kind of always clicked. I was 19, anyway she gave birth to him. I always cared for him like a brother. Shall i tell him he often asked as a kid about his father our father. Somehow mom said dont tell him because he might not like it.
Question: What should I do with my damn life? Posted: 12 Mar 2019 09:54 AM PDT I'm a 29 year old man. My 20 year old brother was diagnosed with schizophrenia 4 months ago. I decided to take care of him at home (When I was 18 I left my alcoholic father and raised my brother alone. I have no one to help me), but things got worse. He talked about demons telling him to hurt people and himself. At times he looked fine, but he suddenly laughed for no reason and when I asked him what he's laughing at, he refused telling me anything about it. At times he looked directly at my face and he cussed me and in a few seconds he apologised me and he said that he was telling those things to the demons behind me. He once made his bed wet because of anxiety. He even started smoking and drinking too much. So, with all these problems I decided to send him to the psychiatric hospital. He's in the hospital here and three months now. My girlfriend broke up with me, because I had no time to pay attention to her. I feel very alone and I think I'm getting depressed. I visit a psychologist once a week, but it doesn't seem to help.
Posted: 12 Mar 2019 08:32 AM PDT He used a belt on them and one time smacked his teenage son across the face. The kids are all grown up now and three of the five have a lot of problems thanks to the abusive father. The mother did nothing about it.

Question: Co-parenting distress? Posted: 12 Mar 2019 08:18 AM PDT My ex and I communicate via talkparent. We have finished court and have settled on an agreement. Every scheduled holiday I have he is asking ifif he can get the child because I am not going out of town. Which I say no, even if I am not going out of town it is still my time. Well since we finished court he is non stop harressing on the site. Calling me a bad mom, I am disgusting, I make him sick, I am trash and now telling the child that I am going to put him in jail. I don't ever bother him, I mind my own business, I never put him down or talk bad about him with the child. I recently said on the site that because his behavior is getting more aggressive and unprofessional I will no longer log on. Am I right or wrong since It is court ordered, also court ordered is using professional talk and only talking about the child. Which he does neither. It is once a week he attacks me for no reason. I just want it to stop. I even asked him nicely numerous times and he calls me immature and disgusting and that he does try but I once again make him sick. I can not afford court right now because I am paying off the balance from last time. Maybe in six months but my sanity can not keep getting verbal abused.
Question: Does this make me a bad son? Posted: 12 Mar 2019 07:59 AM PDT I am a guy in high school. My step mother is just a few years older than I am. Dad married a much younger woman. She is the greatest mother any guy can ask for. Dad must like young beautiful women. To say mom is beautiful is an under statement. She is gorgeous. Wow what a figure (36G would be my guess). Every morning when I leave for school, she give me a hug and a kiss and says "You are the greatest son ever". I am ashamed to admit it but sometimes when she does that, I have thoughts that a son should not have about his mother. Does this make me a bad son?

Question: Why is my mom doing this? Posted: 12 Mar 2019 05:15 AM PDT I live with her. I'm 20 years old. I work two jobs, have a boyfriend and going to school. I have depression and I'm exhausted half the time. My mom gets mad because she never sees me, but I live with her. She gets mad when I choose to go out rather than stay in and hangout with her. I have a life too but I also don't want her to be mad. What do I do.
Question: My mother past away and I am the only sibling, how do I take procession of her home? Posted: 12 Mar 2019 04:54 AM PDT
Question: Is this normal treatment? Posted: 12 Mar 2019 02:00 AM PDT So I'm the oldest sibling in my family. There's only two of us, my sister and I, we're 18 and 22. Since I was young I've always felt like my parents treated me worse than her. Over the years she has done many. things to me, including ruining my belongings, taking my belongings and stealing money from me (the last time she did this was just last year). Every time I'd complain I'd get shut down and have things said to me like 'she's young' or 'its because she doesn't have money.' When I for once retaliated and hid a necklace of hers I got called 'bad hearted', even though she got it back. I never got my stolen things back. Since I got my licence at 15, my parents have never thought of getting a car for me. When my sister got her licence, within a few months she had a new car. There are 4 cars at my house; 1 for mum, 1 for dad, 1 for sister and an extra one for 'weekends'. Two days a week I need to go for appointments, instead of a parent using the weekend car I'm made to walk 1 hour 20 minutes there and back. I've had money taken from me by my mum so she could. buy things 'for the whole house', even though that money was for me to use for my schooling. My mum never dares to ask my sister for anything monetary. Last year my sister 'needed' over $1000 to go on holiday with her friend. My parents easily lent this to her. I wanted to do summer school to finish my. degree quicker, I needed an extra $1,500. I said I'd pay it off weekly and within 2 months. I was told they didn't have enough money. So I missed out on summer school. I've always felt like a black sheep and so depressed here. When I try to leave I'm told I'll never 'make it on my own'. What do I do? Is their behaviour to normal? Do I deserve it because I'm the oldest? **Sorry for the bad writing, I'm so upset and I was writing in a hurry.*

Question: Is my older sister toxic? Posted: 11 Mar 2019 11:46 PM PDT -I am 36 years old, she's 38. -We are from a poor single mother family. -Since around 2011 she has been unmercifully mean and disrespectful to me. -All family functions like holidays and such she publicly insults me in front of others. -I support our mom and she tells people our mom supports us. -Our dad is very wealthy and though he's a nice person he abandoned us when we were kids. My sister knows this and our mom rarely ever hears from her but she talks to and visits our dad daily. -I got tired of my sister harassing me on Facebook so I blocked her because she's so negative to me on it. -She has stole money from me, every time she ever needed anything I was there for her and as our mom gets more older and frail and I do better in my career she just keeps getting meaner and meaner to me. -Is my sister toxic?
Posted: 11 Mar 2019 10:14 PM PDT I want to go to a spa by myself but my mom thinks all people at massage spas are perverts that will rape me.If I went without anyone in my house knowing until I am there all my sisters& parents would get angry at me & yell at me though I am in my 20's & do that for days or even weeks . I still live at home with my parents and siblings.I have a job but I don't have enough money to move out , nor do I want to move out yet cause I would be alone since I am single. I like hanging out with my family members sometimes but my parents are very controlling & paranoid. All I want is to go to someplace like a spa, do yoga or take myself out on a dinner date. My parents are pretty much able to control everything in my life & they have so much control that I am not comfortable with it. I can't drive now cause I don't have enough money to get a license or buy a car. I am not that good with directions to places either so my parents drive me everywhere. They have scared me out of taking the bus(i hate riding those) , going on an airplane by myself & taking a taxi by myself to get anywhere. I am a female I like doing stuff with my family sometimes but I am an introvert so I don't like to be around people lots of the time. Sometimes I just like to be left alone & want to be independent but my family is poor too so I didn't & still don't have lots of things in life. I mean I have enough to get a driving license but not driving lessons so I have to rely on my Dad to teach me but he only teaches me once in a blue moon even if I beg him . I am looking for a higher paying job currently.
Question: How do I deal with my parents' gradual ageing without getting too upset? Posted: 11 Mar 2019 09:47 PM PDT My parents had me at a later age, so I'm 30, and they will both turn 70 this year. Because I'm dealing with ageing parents and I'm just 30, maybe that's why I get upset and emotional and shocked a lot. I don't get aggressive or lash out - not at all. I just get very upset and try to deny what is happening. My mum is a natural redhead and only now she is getting grey streaks in her hair. My dad has been greying since his 40s, so I'm used to it. I'm still in that phase where I don't feel completely independent and self-reliant because my parents have always been the rock of my life. The best I'm doing to learning new skills everyday and manage my finances sensibly. I don't know if other 30-somethings year olds are dealing with this too. A lot of people, their parents don't turn 70 till they themselves are in their 40s or 70s. Because my parents had me at an older age, I'm dealing with this much sooner, including my sister, who is 29.
Question: Should I lie to my mom or ask her truthfully? Posted: 11 Mar 2019 07:49 PM PDT Should I lie to my overprotective mom about where I'm going which is a mall an hour away with my friend. Or tell her where I'm going and risk not being able to go because she doesn't trust the person driving
Posted: 11 Mar 2019 06:08 PM PDT First I will say that I am 25 years old. I was adopted by my adoptive mom and dad, in an open adoption. I still have contact with my birth mother, but I do not know my birth father at all. My adoptive mom passed away from cancer when I was 5 and my adoptive dad became depressed. He married my step mom when I was 7, looking for a mother figure for his two kids. They ended up getting a divorce when I was 13, so I went to live with my dad. My dad became severely depressed and mentally ill, eventually leading to his suicide when I was 15 years old. That was the worst time of my entire life. After he passed away, I went to live with my step mom. Ever since I've known her, she has been incredibly emotionally abusive, sometimes getting physical when I was younger. I'm talking me accidentally leaving a hanger on the floor warranted a slap in the face. She called me irresponsible, belittled me every chance she got and I was always grounded. My self confidence had plummeted. I graduated college and moved states away from her. My fiancé's family is more of a family than I have ever known. To this day she still says emotionally abusive things and yells and screams at me if I don't do things her way, or if I say the wrong thing. I walk on eggshells around her. I am terrified of her most times, only sometimes she is reasonable and actually nice to me. I don't know how to have a relationship with her in my adult life, especially since I am now planning my wedding.
Question: How to cope with jealous relatives? Posted: 11 Mar 2019 05:57 PM PDT who just want to do bad things to u? i cant stay away from them bc of my mom..
Question: Am I wrong for being upset? Posted: 11 Mar 2019 04:55 PM PDT I spoke to my fiancé around noontime.. I get off at 4 and he gets off at 5. I asked if we could spend some quality time when we get home . Take our showers, feed the kids, and just chill and talk.. We don't really get to get time together, although we live together, because we're always visiting his mom's or my mom's, or just always getting caught up with the children.. By the time we get in and shower it's 9 or 10pm and we're preparing for work the following day.. However, back to the point ... he said yes ! We were going to come straight home, shower, and get some QT.. Around 5pm when he got off I received a text "babe do you mind if I go chill with bro for a little bit, it won't be long".. so once again he went to his mom's and I feel put on the burner .. He doesn't see how.. Am I being petty??
Question: How do I get the message through to my parents that I'M NOT GOING TO GRADUATION? Posted: 11 Mar 2019 04:34 PM PDT My parents keep going on and on and on about how awesome they think graduation is and how they can't wait to see me walk and get my diploma... except I'm not going. I think the ceremony is a waste of time. My parents keep saying that I "have to go" and that they'll force me; they don't seem to be grasping the fact that I'll be a legal adult by then so there's nothing they can do. If worst comes to worst I'll end up standing them up. How do I get them to understand that I'm NOT GOING?

Question: My dad died and im feeling really wierd about getting a new parent (stepfather)? Posted: 11 Mar 2019 03:49 PM PDT so my dad died like 2 years ago and my mom started lying about things like where she was going and stuff. she keeps talking to someone in her locked room on the phone and their conversations are very flirty type. I'm always eavesdropping and trying to listen in. I'm also acting a bit selfish and i don't want to have a fill in for a dad. I get that my 4 year old wont have anyone to call "dad" anymore but i'm just not ready for anything serious and i'm always trying to convince myself that she does not have a boyfriend (friend) even though she does. i hate it because i sometimes cry in bed and get really strong anxiety and super stressed i hate this so much but i don't want my mom to be alone the rest of her life. please help me what do i do and how do i get rid of these thoughts, how do i get ready for this. please help me :(
Question: Is it possible to just not be compatible with a parent? Posted: 11 Mar 2019 03:48 PM PDT My dad NEVER listens to me, I never feel heard. The only time we get along is when I have to make myself smaller, quieter, and just agree with everything he says. I'm a girl, and he doesn't make me feel like a young lady. I feel like an object/thing to him. He tries to be funny once in a awhile and it comes out very bad, awkward, and controlling. Last week I was making food, he didn't bother asking me what I'm making just tries to be "funny" and tells me to add balogna but says it in a demanding way and walks away fast. I'm getting frustrated thinking and knowing I don't have a good bond with him, and never will. He doesn't try at all to take an interest in my life, my abilities, skills, value. He never has anything positive to say about my life or even his own. I don't bother asking him about work or his life because it's always negative.. Zero parental morals/guidance.. So it possible that some people just aren't compatible with their parent(s)?

Posted: 11 Mar 2019 02:15 PM PDT I'm a 14 year old girl almost 15 and I live in Canada. While I have done things such as vaping, I have never smoked marijuana. I suspect my parents have been secretly smoking it. I'm not sure how often. My younger sister accidentally found a container labelled dried cannabis hidden in one of our cupboards and asked what it was. Of course I immediately knew but brushed it off to her as a spice. I walked into my basement one time and my dad has a ziplock container with what looked like marijuana in it but he quickly put it somewhere else once I arrived and when I walked upstairs right after I saw what looked like the original container opened with the label off or no label and smelt it. It smelt just like marijuana and while I have never done it myself I have been around people who have and I am familiar with what it smells like. I am very aware it is now legal and there is "nothing wrong with smoking it" however it still worries and concerns me especially if they decided to start doing it without telling me. I feel as though I am responsible and old enough to know this about my own parents. I am aware that my mom does regular smoking but not marijuana. Would it be wrong of me to confront my parents and ask them? What should I do in this situation. They are very good parents and have not changed but this still worries me and I can't do nothing. Please help!
