I'm in a complicated situation: entering this grade I met a new girl who became friends with me and I was happy because while I did have other friends I had no one who was super duper close. However, I later found that I hate her personality, yet she's still nice in her own way and it would hurt me to ditch her. I'd choose my old friends over her any day but she is always following me. Im 34, female and still get called 'little ****' by people mainly in banter. Im only 5ft in height, very small build, usually quiet and placid in temperament so i dont trigger people. I guess i find it a bit odd that people call me 'a little ****' even if joking as i dont hear other adults being called it. There's this girl at my school named Isabella and she is GORGEOUS! We are really good friends but I can't help but envy what she has. She is so pretty and she has perfectly clear skin. My best friend and I have been best friends for around ten/eleven years. We met when we were five and we instantly clicked. We became inseparable. As we started to grow up, i started to notice somethings about her. She would get upset if i talked about my other friends around her, she doesn t do that anymore but in my opinion what she does now is worse. I moved to a different country about five years ago and we see each other like two to three times a year and I get so excited every time. She and I talk over the phone, text, and facetime all the time and it s great. But whenever i go to visit her she starts doing a few things that annoy me a great deal. I've noticed most narcissists are nosey and gossipers. That they become friends with your friends to cause problems in friendships and any other kind of relationship. Is it better to just not be friends with people that are friends with the narcissist. That way you dont have to deal with the gossip and you dont have to risk losing those friendships or relationships. Have any of you had any of those experiences with narcissists yourself? Would it have been better to not be friends with them? Especially on Facebook or social media.
