So 2 weeks ago my friend Justin turned 23. I am in college in Fl and live about 2 hrs from our homestate but I still come to see friends and family from time to time. I am at a community college part of the honors college. There is a group of about 10 of us and the professor is having us participate in a public speaking event infront of a couple hundred people. She wants us to present about "taking opportunity" in life. We get a PowerPoint and each of us get 2 slides and tell a personal story about opportunity. To start with this is a laid back event. Most of the presentations are going to be humorous. Here we are a bunch of smart *** kids getting up telling life advice to a crowd of adults. Bad look. I am 25 and I actually have a story. I was broke and had no opportunity when I was 20. Then I went to be a OTR truck driver for 2 years and came back and used trucking to put myself through college. On my slide I put a quote from a rap song that was important to me in those 2 years that says "road to success" by Fat Pat and it's so metaphoric. Last second these people went and deleted that off my slide. I think it's because they don't like rap music. I'm pissed and I feel like not even participating. You want me to tell my ******* story. How should I handle this? I feel like I'm being not taken seriously.

Okay so today at school the teacher told us to get up and get text books, some guy said "I got you" and he got me a book and I said "thank you" and him and his friends all started laughing and they called me "smoked out" and "dry". I was bullied throughout my entire life from EVERYONE I came into contact with. School,church,family,etc. I left the place I grew up at 21 & moved halfway across the country for work. With my work,I had to come do a speaking engagement where I unfortunately grew up & now everyone is acting like they never talked **** about me behind my back or to my face,acting like we were the best of friends when they went out of their way to make my life a LIVING HELL. I'm a 25 year old community college student and I have developed quite a social life on campus. People recognize me as a nice guy and like to be around me. Since last year I have a kid that hangs around me from all of our engineering classes. He is 19 and a total square. Eagle scout, grounded in morals. He has 2 people he follows around campus all day, me and on of the other engineering kids. He's a cool dude but he calls himself an "introvert" and says he prefers not to be overly social. Doesn't go out of his way to meet new people. Dismisses people as having lower morals than him (people who drink alcohol or etc.). But he is around me alot and I am very social. I say hi to 20 people when I walk down the hall. He is always next to me saying "who is that," "what did you say?" "Who are you texting?" He is an ok dude and I'm very nice to him but I get tired of keeping him up to speed. He is perfectly capable of joining these social settings. People from his high school talk to us. We all wish he would branch out and become his own man. He also gets very offended if we poke fun at him. But the rest of us poke fun at each other even more. I was talking to a girl from one of our classes, and now this kid told people I'm being a dick to him because I was giving her attention and joking around too much with him. It's like, I have a hard time excluding anyone but i don't like people around me that try to drag me out of my way of life and read into everything I'm doing.

I really like her but I didn't get her number because I was too shy and I'm kind of an awkward person. My friend made a group message with her in it because she's in our group. The leader of the group sent a message to the group and that girl sent her reply to me. She sent it to the wrong person. I didn't know at first it was her so I asked who it was. She told me her name and I said oh it's you. So fast forward I tried to add her on snapchat from her phone number that day and since then she has not accepted my request but this morning I opened my snapchat and her account popped up on the the subscription section and she posted a story. Now it made me think if she saw my request and just ignored it or she didn't actually see it. I'm kinda confused. I was thinking of deleting my request and just add her back but if she sees my request again she might get annoyed and block me. Should I have just added her username instead of her phone number? I never try to be the best at anything. I usually try joking around and get a response my joke isn't funny but when other guys steal my joke they laugh at it. I pretty nice until others are rude to me. They blame me for what other people on the job do. So my husband got some Pad Thai today and mine had these unique, awesome, 1 inch wide homemade noodles in it, they kinda looked like pieces of dough. Tons of bean sprouts, white onions, meat, etc. I acknowledged the noodles before i started eating...right? I was sitting with my husband, watching tv and I bit into a bean sprout thinking it was a small noodle...but it was crunchy, so i dug my fork to find the noodles underneath and then it hit me.. I realized I totally just blanked out on the fact I had the homemade noodles already in it. It was a total duh moment. Should I be worried for memory loss or evaluated? I mean what the heck was that? i just stared literally at the dish, looking for (a different type) of noodle. Does anyone else blank out on things similar

I started a new job about 3 months ago, I am a 22 year old African American female. The town in which I work in is mostly Caucasian, the people are pretty nice but I get asked so many questions "Why do black people do this?" "I don't really like black guys but I don't have a problem with black girls" "Can I touch your hair?" "Do you live in the hood?" Lol. Long story short, my friend/roommate and I got into an argument, and she had her friends call the cops on me (because she was mad at me and exaggerated what was really going on during the argument). The next day, she bought me a cupcake as an apology. Since she's my roommate, we talked things out and she told me that she wants me to "put this" behind me and start brand new, however, I don't think I can trust her again, after she had the cops called on me because she was mad at me. The cops coming over could've had some serious consequences. A few weeks later, she shared a Facebook post about killing someone, so I requested to move out (by University Housing) But was denied.
