She ended our friendship last year in February, (our Junior year), because I chose my current bf, (he was a senior at the time), over her. Long story short, her and my bf never got along no matter what and she made me choose. Well... I thought at the time, "That's not a true friend if she makes me choose her or my bf" Her and I had little arguments here and there for the last few months of our junior year. 2 of the emails I got from her I forwarded to my principal because they were "nasty." Since the start of our Senior year, we've never spoken once to each other. Well that's all behind me now So my bf graduated already and it's just her and I at school, getting ready to graduate, so nothing serious can happen at school. I've been having mixed feelings of reconciling our friendship. I want to give our friendship another try, but then I hear this and this about her and I change my mind from time to time. She constantly dyes her hair, she's into hard metal music (we have very different tastes in music), she went emo, she used to be a cutter, she used to go to church, she owes me $20, and I heard she has a sh** attitude at home. We have went to school togethor since Kindergarden but she only talked to me onced, in 5th grade at the Science Fair, she was behind me tieing her shoe an I let a little stinker in her face an she got mad an called me a retarted idiot. But that was a long time a go an things change, so hear is what brought us togethor. The week end before Xmas I was at the mall with mom an dad an I was walking down to Best Buy to look at games for my PS3 an on the way I saw Andrea an her best friend Stephanie Cocks. An when I saw them they both looked at me an Andrea goes "DOESN'T HE GO TO ARE SCHOOL?" an then they BOTH LAUGHED! I mean, I don't know how she could of flirted an been more ovious then that! I don't like school but am very good at it, I put no effort into anything but still always preform decent. Though all of this is great fun my social situation is lacking behind. Friendships I still had from elementry school slowely faded away because I didn't go to high school with them, infact I didn't have a single friend in my class when I got to this school. I made one real friend and still have one other very good friend outside of school but that's about it. In school I have some guys I like to hang out with but that doesn't go beyond school. I have no social media at all. I see people with more than a hundred friends or "followers" and the only thing I can think of when I consider setting up a social media account is how sad I'll look with my friend count of probably beneath 10. Also I hate selfies and pretty much never get invited to parties so I wouldn't know what to put on my already sad facebook page or whatever. I've never had a girlfriend in my life and also never got close to having one, because I have little to no contact with any of the girls in my class even in school. I have done lots of inner work, I was a very sensitive and kind of always want to feel right but worked on it so much. I have been able to fix my issues and succeeded for the past 5 years. But also I accept and know no body is perfect. The thing is I am not a boring person or introvert. I love to chat about anything even sometimes politics lol I am not stupid i make jokes even sometimes about myself and I find it easy to express myself. But the problem is any friend I meet has different interest than me so we don't last. And once I had a good friend who we had some similarity and many things in common, we were like sisters and she always used to tell me I am like her soul mate and she will never ever lose me but she suddenly changed! Out of no where, I tried to ask why but she just said she's not in the mood to talk so I told her anytime she needs me she can contact me, but she didn't so I backed off, she hasn't called me after. I tried to figure out the problem but couldn't see anything that let her leave. I tried going to classes, gathering and make friends but honestly no luck what so ever. Posted: 02 Jan 2016 02:48 PM PST I've observed a lot (in person and on social media sites) where people either get overly excited, happy tears, change their tone of voice, jump up and down, etc when it comes to receiving large amounts of money, regardless of age or gender. Even I'm guilty of it when I won a scholarship lol. My friend on the other hand is never phased by money. Why not? She has received a large scholarship and wasn't phased. She received inheritance from her grandparents and said thank you and that was it. She recently won an all paid vacation from a student raffle held at her college (I was there as a guest and she grinned and said thanks). We also bought our first scratch-off at a gas station just for kicks and on her's she won $500, for real. And she didn't jump nor show any excitement. All she plainly said was "cool, that's nice." It seems like nothing phases her despite the value. Is there a reason for this? For people who aren't phased at all by money or things with high money value? I'm just curious. |

We're all freshman boys in highschool. There were plenty of adults there - the only people who weren't adults there were us and some friends of Billy's sister. Billy's dad took out some beer for the adults. A bit into the party one of my other friends (lets call him Bob) tried to take a cup of alcahol when the adults weren't noticing. I was like wtf are you doing that's heineken. It was enough to put him on the spot as everybody looked at us and he just said "oh I thought it was sparkling cider" and walked away. We all slept over at Billy's house after the adults left. A while later, at around 3-4 am or so, Billy suggested that he sneak upstairs and take some beer out of his parents cupboard and take it back down for us to drink. Bob was like yeah can you do that. At that moment I was like hell no do you guys have any idea what you guys are getting yourselves into. They replied by saying its fine nobody will report us and we don't play sports we're not gonna get drug tested. I responded by telling them how just a little could lead to serious problems and ruin all their potential to succeed in life, and legal trouble was just the beggining of the amount of risk involved. It was enough to make them second guess their decision and not do it. What should I tell them/do to prevent them from considering alcahol in the future? As a friend I don't want them ruining their lives with this stuff. |

Her parents currently pay for her college life (she has one more year to go), but she is having problems with her parents; they wouldn't accept her lifestyle, and she is very hurt by this. She wants to tell them, but she is afraid her entire family will hate her, and that her parents will refuse to pay anymore for her college. The parents already found out about a previous relationship with another girl, and they threatened to stop paying for her college. They think she's straight now at this point, but now she's in another relationship without them knowing. What advice can I give to her? Should she keep her current relationship a secret from her parents, or should she tell them? A part of her wants to leave her family altogether, and find a way to live on her own and pay for college herself. While I would suggest she should find her own way to pay for college, I know that it would be immensely challenging for her. Her college is 50k/year. |

He has a habit of playing video games repeatedly, and he uses it as an escapism. Sometimes I try and talk to him about things, personal issues, philosophical debates, and some rather important things pertaining to the real world, but he always says that those things cause him to fall into a bad mood. So our conversations becomes limited and I have to censor myself around him sometimes to keep him happy. I don't think it's healthy for him to be constantly avoiding things. Even when I try to talk about girls or things, he shuts out. He says real life girls are just a nuisance. Even something minute as in watching an anime, or a show, he refuses, claiming that he can't handle it because it's better then real life and it causes him to become sorrow. He claims he is always happy, but I believe that's because he digs himself a hole and hides in it. I wanted to see the new Star Wars movie with him but he couldn't even do that. He said it takes time away from his Schedule to play a game. Even if I try to get a bunch of our friends together, it still won't convince him to come. I think he's becoming a little too asocial, and it's not going to help him later on in life. Is there someway I can help him out? Posted: 02 Jan 2016 12:35 PM PST Throughout elementary, middle, and high school I had lots of friends. parties, etc. I had a rough 12th grade, so I didn't celebrate turning 18. I lost my virginity a little early, at 15. I saw no point in going to prom and whatnot. Basically I had fun earlier than most. I went to college and haven't made any friends, I just keep to myself. People say your social life gets better after high school but that hasn't been the case with me. It got worse after I graduated. As far as being 19, would you say I still have a chance at making my college years the best time of my life? Is it too late to start going to 18+ clubs? Should I have done that when I turned 18? PS I'm on break, that's why I said "went to college". I'll go back to school this month. Also do you think I have sex too early? I thought it was normal to lose your virginity that young, I kind of regret it. I personally wish I waited until senior year or when I turned 18. That way, people would accept me for who I am. |

| Posted: 02 Jan 2016 12:31 PM PST Let's say we're bestfriends(well we really are I think) I mean when sober he's cool to hang out with but every time hes drunk he's completely so honest and arrogant , there's this time when a street kid once pass us by while we're drinking then the kid ask for money but my best friend suddenly yell at him and ask to drink a full glass of brandy and then he will give him some money so obviously the kid refuses, after that he was talking about why would he give him some penny without doing anything while he work so hard for it (we're both 18) and I just ignore that . then we hit another bar since he doesn't look like the type who will pass out so yeah we drink again. While we're drinking I saw my friend (its his ex friend) we greet each other then he just walk off after seeing my best friend and my best friend diss him because my best friend really is such a hard working guy so basically saying he's quite rich for his age, he told me he was so lame and such a loser .(he talk about like that to some to my friends which also his friend when he's drunk) how he earn without them anyway so he just dont give a f*ck about them its like he really drop a **** on everyone he knows so I'm the only one (I think) who only knows about his opinion to everyone . We'll both be 17 next year and I'm a normal guy that focuses on studying and his girlfriend and my future at this point but this guy is the type of guys that drink **** (chemistry to look buff) and trains in the gym though his muscles are completely fake. That doesn't scare me or anything. What bothers me in him is he tells me I'm gay because I have long hair (I'm going for a top knot) and I'm different than all the rest and dumb guys who have like super short hair. He's just a really dumb guy who offends a lot of people does stupid **** and has no manners like literally and he thinks he's all strong because his fake muscles. So he wants to come in my class next year (so 11th grade we have 12 in my country) and that'll be pretty bad not only for me. He wants to come just to be with his dumb friends though they respect me but he doesn't and I've told him many times idgaf about his opinion. He's like the joker does something dumb and laughs and even his friends know he has anger issues and he looses his nerves so easy so you can't even talk with him and I don't want to fight with him or anything just because that'll make me even dumber than him. So I am kinda worried about him coming (he said that 2 years in a row and he still hasn't came). I want suggestions on what I should do though I know there isn't much I can. |

I have been friends with a girl for 10 years and this last couple of years she has changed. There is a group of us and we always went to bars together and went on holiday and trips so we were close. A few years ago she started to not want to go out with us and we only saw her maybe three times a year, we don't know what is wrong or happened and we have asked her numerous times what's wrong and she says nothing everything is fine. We all get the vibe she makes things up to not go out with us and things but we don't know why. He was in a hotel on thursday-late last night and I noticed my happy new year text never sent. I finally heard from him last night but I couldn't answer his text because it wouldn't deliver. So I called him and told him nothing was sending and he said he had really bad service at the hotel.. but he was on his way home from the hotel. Posted: 02 Jan 2016 10:39 AM PST I'm 28 and planning to go to LA on the 23rd of this month but I don't want my parents to find out. I'll be visiting my friend in Mississippi from the 20th to the 23rd then I'll be flying out to LA. My parents know that I'm going to see my friend and they are ok with that. They just don't know that I'll be leaving there and flying to LA. I was thinking of going at night so when I get to LA it'll be 12:00am where I live. However that ticket is $42 more than the ticket I want to get but then I'll be in LA at 4:00pm which will be 7:00pm my time. I don't know if the times really matter but I'm thinking at 12:00am my parents will probably be sleep but not so much at 7:00pm. My mom said she's going to call me everyday once a day. But I am going to ask her to call me every other day. I know my parents are over protective. I still live at home but I do have a job and I will be going back to school next month. Once I finish school I plan on moving to LA. Should I just book the flight that cost the less money? Yes I am a woman. |

I have a friend from church who I met this summer. She is a much older lady who I like. I have told her of my fear, but she doesnt seem to understand. I am fine with not attending events etc, but she keeps trying to force me to drive places and I have already told her I am uncomfortable. I do not have a smart phone or GPS, and I have explained to her. Yet each time I decide not go to an event, she gets a little upset. Would you consider me a bad person because of this fear? It's not like I expect or even want people to pick me and take me places. I never want to be an inconvenience, so I just wont go. I do dislike it, but I am also fearful. |

I have a really close friend who I really like and we are besties but she lives ages away from me and her parents don't let her meet me outside of school. My other friend just uses me when she has no one to talk to and is embarrassed of me. The first friend I met hates me side I made a stupid mistake and now she won't trust me and I've tried to sort things out but she won't act the same around me. My other friend just doesn't want to hang outside of school she's weird and always finds exuded. My other friend is really dumb and aborting and doesn't care about me or my feelings. My other friend who I was really close with and I'd like to be freimda with keeps breaking up with me cause she's jeaulous of me as we are both dancers but I get through auditions. And I'm really depressed I can be an amazing person with a fun personality and I am a great friend but when I'm around people I just forget who I am and act really weird. It's bugging me and all I want is just 3 friends who I am close with to hang out and chat with. I feel like a loner and it's all I think about. Everyone thinks I'm so weird.
