Posted: 01 Jan 2016 05:02 PM PST I went over to my friends apartment last night, and the first thing I noticed was the floors were dirty, there was not trashcan, just a big grocery bag in the middle of the floor, and when I went to the bathroom it was very dirty and there was no hand soap. I did not feel too comfortable, so I left. And I told my friend she should clean her house before I left. The way I said it WAS rude, but is saying this to your friend rude at all? or just a friendly piece of advice? |

Most of my friends are boys. I don't get jealous of other girls I just don't like them. I have no idea why. Like whenever my friend tells a story about something that happened, but it involves a girl, I like automatically don't like them. Or the other day, my friend introduced me to his girlfriend on skype, (I don't even have feelings for him, he's just a friend) and I hated her from the second she spoke. I really sound like a b**** right now because I basically am. But I just don't know why. It seems like all girls secretly hate each other but most of the time it's because of jealousy. She has severe anxiety problems and won't stop crying. This actually drove many people away. When she cries, she cries about messing up and how a friend left her because she was harassing a friend. She said that she just want things back they way they were. She doesn't stop crying. I had to leave her on the phone crying because my mom needed me. I have problems too (even anxiety problems) and this is very hard on me. I don't know if I being mean but I don't know how to handle excessive crying when my own life is a mess too. So when she came over she asked if we could walk around the neighborhood and when we went outside she shouted out loud "Where's that guy across the street?". I know everyone could hear her cause as I said it's a pretty small close neighborhood. | Posted: 01 Jan 2016 03:54 PM PST ok so here's the thing i have 2 real life friends, both are super friendly and have lots of other friends. one of the two friends i have moved 2 years ago, we stay in touch through texting and all, she goes to a different school the other friend goes to my school and was with me last year in middle school (im a freshman in high school now) and she was the only person i talked to. we sat together at lunch every day and we had a class together. she was the only reason i didn't feel lonely this year, we don't have any classes together and our lunch times are different. she has a new big group of friends. i don't. during lunch every day, i either sit in a table in the corner of the cafeteria alone, or i hide in the bathrooms or go to the library and sit alone. i have social anxiety and i can't talk to anyone new without feeling extremely scared, and nobody has made an effort to befriend me. every day, i talk to no one while everyone else has friends in their classes or at lunch and they're happy and i just sit alone and wish i could leave. it's january now, halfway through the year, that's how long this has been going on. i am getting to the point where im going insane. i just want someone to talk to like how everyone else does. my two friends are both included in a big friend group, and they have classes with all of them. i wish things could be different for me and i wish people wanted me to be friends with them and talk to them but no one does. im just really alone |

I haven't been there for a while and so I haven't been seeing them and it kind of makes me worried in a way because I have no friends and I usually picture myself being friends with THEM and once they've even spoke, doing the little head nod think as in to say "hello". There's other people that sometimes come there as well and I get nervous and start sweating and this other time I cried because I told myself I was going to wave at them or speak but I didn't and I found out they weren't even from here so there goes that. I am used to talking to him all day everyday because he always texts me when he wakes up and then we always facetime at night when he gets home from work. Yesterday, he had a family wedding. We were talking up until about 7:00. He told me he wouldn't be back at the hotel they were staying at until 1am. I thought it was weird I didn't hear from him when he got home. I had sent a happy new year text at midnight and it still has not been delivered. Plus my snapchats are still unopened. He is not the type to ignore me or anything like that. I'm guessing something happened with his phone since the message never sent (dead, off, lost, broken). But I am freaking out because I have no way of finding out if he is okay. If I hung out with a group of friends and we met a number of new people, nearly all of my group of friends would keep talking to the newly made friends (on Facebook for example) and none of them would make an effort at all with me. Like last night I was at a New Year's Party and the only reason I was invited was because the girl hosting the party invited my girlfriend (no one told me this, but I can tell). At the party there were a number of people there and because I'm rather awkward it took me a while to feel comfortable there and comfortable talking to them. After the party, a few of the people there added my girlfriend on Facebook and none of them added me. It's always been like that for me, no one really wants to be friends with me or make an effort to talk to me, and it's probably because I'm so awkward in social situations. What can I do to try and fix this? |

Posted: 01 Jan 2016 03:21 PM PST Many people may question and see that your on your own that's what many people do to me but I look at them, Smile and tell them I do have friends just not here. It makes me feel better about myself knowing I have people outside of school. Normally at break I wait in the queue to get something to eat then walk around school eating it then going to my next lesson early or talk to one of the teachers while waiting. At lunch time I either go to the library and finish/start my homework extra slow so it takes up lunch time, or I go into the toilet and go on my phone and listen to music while zoning out, no one really notices so that's the good thing <3I smile at people and small talk people on my way of doing these things it's nice to talk to people, so it makes you feel better about myself TIPS TO SURVIVE HIGH SCHOOL WITHOUT FRIENDS! 1. smile at people and say hi to the nice ones it makes you feel less lonely 2. Find something to do either sit somewhere quiet and listen to music,draw, read, do homework, go to a club, go to the library. 3. Look for someone in another year/grade who u see without friends and start talking to them OR make friends with people in your year/grade but try atleast it might turn out good 4. Do not think about not having any friends!! Now u do I'm your friend, so now think that u have friends and focus on yourself and what u want to be ! THINK POSITIVE IT HELPS 5. The owner of the shop says to the saler the chocolate was 17$ so give back to the boys the 3$.The saler takes 1$ for himself and give each boy 1$. Now the boys are assumed to have spent 9$ each. so 9$+9$+1$(that the saler took)=19. So why is an dollar mising. My solution is like this each boy spent 9$. 9+9=18 from which 17 was taken from the owner and 1 from the salesman. And then they got back 2$ (one for each of them). so 18+2=20$ He keeps saying im wrong can somebody explain this please? P.S my friends mom sucks D |

I tried to get a guy to come to a party. he couldn't bc his friend didn't want to. I said, " tell him I'll kiss him idk," my friend was like, "Serena u can't use people like that." There was a disabled guy at another party (sibling of the guy who had it). My friend couldn't go, so I was like, "tell your parents the autistic kid will cry if you don't." Again, my friend was like, "U can't take advantage of the disabled tf." I had a job for a while. I was generally good at it. But, I can't do "customer always right" thing. My boss was being an *** so I quit, then didn't show up to my next shifts. One guy I worked with asked me, "Are you okay?" everyday. My teachers always think I'm apathetic when I'm not. When ugly guys ask me out on Instagram i embarrass them. If he's cute, I respond to his texts hours late. I secretly want him to leave me alone. I have issues myself. I've had severe depression for a long time. I was raped "3 times." One was actually. The other 2 are by law, one I was VERY below age of consent, other I was just highly intoxicatdd. I acted kinda shocked & said "wow! really??" She seemed concerned & asked why I was shocked & I said that I didnt know. This was my first date ever. She told me she would call me this week when she got back. She texted me that night saying that she made it home & had a good time & I texted her the next morning wishing her a safe trip home & didn't hear from her except for a few snapchats. I texted her Tuesday & asked how she was & she said: "I'm doing well! I worked all day and now I'm at home curled up in front of the tv. I'm happy to hear from you! How was your Christmas?" I texted back & she hasnt texted me since. We have sent snapchats a little since then, but that's it. I know that I might sound clingy, but this was my first date & I really like her. I was so caught up in the moment at how beautiful she was, my nerves got the best of me. Did she lose interest? |

Posted: 01 Jan 2016 02:01 PM PST Hey, so today I was supposed to hit the club with my female mate, but she said she wasn't feeling it and pretty much never wants to go again. My mother says I can only go if a girl goes but I only have two female friends one being this one and another who doesn't have any form of ID. I asked my mother if just this once I can go with my best guy friend who I've known a year and he's like a brother and my other friend who's in town for a few weeks and she refuses to let me because they're male. Someone tell me what to do. I want to go because my friend is in town and because my guy friend and crush works there and I never see him cause he's busy and this could potentially be the last time because he's so busy. Here's the problem though, I do tell her she can't tell who to go with and its hard for me to have female friends etc but she just doesn't care. Aslong as I live with her it's 'her rules' |

I'm a guy. 21 So A female friend of mine who I have known since 2009, came back after boot camp now in the military. Before that, The last two years were here darkest period of her life. Her and her first boyfriend who is also a friend of mine broke up after six years being together. She was hurt and ended up in a rebound relationship for a while and that relationship ended and then last year began dating none other than my once best friend and childhood friend who backstabbed me and my friendship with him ended in bad terms since while they were hiding that relationship and I was onto them, he had disrespected me and humiliated me until I found out. Fast forward to today and the last days of 2015, She came back and I noticed how she and her First boyfriend have been interacting like how they would when they were together. The other day, He bought her flowers. I hanged out with them and I saw how they hugged and I believe they are together again. That and they are texting each other. I also noticed how she looked at her first boyfriend as well. What's confusing is why I still see my childhood friend driving his car with her at times. When her first boyfriend came to her place and noticed the room was locked and he saw her and my childhood friend. He mentioned he wanted to smack the crap out of him. My childhood friend left not long after. Can anyone give me a understanding of all this?? I just want to have a clear picture. Thanks? |

Posted: 01 Jan 2016 01:54 PM PST my best friend has recently started copying my style and the unique ideas i come up with. ex: one day i wear my hair up in a bun to school. she sees it and then says "man its hot here i think ill put my hair in a bun" and i let her bc i didnt want to seem outrageous or something but then.... ex 2: i wore skinny jeans with socks and high white converse once and rolled the jeans up to school. she never complimented the outfit, but she came to school the next day with EXACTLY the same look. rolled up jeans and socks and what not. last example: i recently changed my theme on instagram to something more organized just bc i wanted to, then a few days after i started gettig major compliments on the new instagram , she texts me "im starting my ig over, mine looks so messy" and now shes posting photos very similar to mine.... WHAT do i do? she also seems to compete with all my other friends. she tries to keep me away from them and make them seem like bad friends to me, when i know they are not bad at all. whats up with her????!! |

"Aren't you going?" my friend asked. "Nah, I'll just chill in the apartment," I said. My friend said "come on! You never go out anymore! It's NYE, you have to! Don't you wanna party, have some fun?" Yes, I wanted to. Since I have epilepsy, I lost my driver's license when I was 17. My friends just think I was a bad driver. I'm 22, but I can't drink. I loved going out until we all turned 21. I know I don't have to and there's nothing wrong with it, but I hate being the only one not drinking. I hate spending money on Über or asking friends for rides to work and everywhere. I ran out of lies for why I didn't drink on my 21st or why went to bars but never drank. I decided to quit. I'm scared to tell my friends I have epilepsy, they'd be scared to be around me or want me out of the apartment. I'm afraid that if I don't, they'll think I'm boring or not interested in hanging out with/being friends with them. I feel like I'll lose my friends either way. What should I do? I want to get out of the house and go places, but instead I'm stuck in my room everyday. My 17 year old brother ALWAYS goes everywhere with his girlfriend and friends, but I'm just here in my room. Even if I did go out, where would I go? I have NO friends, and my mom wont let me go any where out of sight. she doesn't even pay attention to me shes too busy with her boyfriend. I only have one friend that lives in a different city, but my mom wont let me hang out with her or talk to her or anything. its because they got in a fight and my mom hates her. her name is gracie, and she is my moms boyfriends granddaughter. Its not fair because I hate my moms boyfriend and she hates gracie. yet her boyfriend is always over here, and I cant talk to my only friend that I can get a hold of. my mom is 45 and her boyfriend, Todd, is 64... all they do is sleep all day and he tells her he will help her around the house but he just goes straight to the bed and eats everything and makes a huge mess. I want to go to concerts, but my mom says she wont let me go alone, and the only person I know that is able to go to concerts, is Gracie. But that is a big no for my mom. Please tell me what you think about this. When I said that she lives in another city, I mean that she is in the city right next to us and we are on the border. we are only like 1/2 a mile apart. |

He would always hang around my room even when I am not there. I honestly do not know what the heck he was doing in there. And also he told me I can be a model when his mom and my mom were talking about modelling. | Question: Should I tell my fifteen year old friend Santa isn't real? Posted: 01 Jan 2016 01:19 PM PST I know this might sound a little weird, but I'm honestly looking for some advice. I've known this girl since seventh grade or so, and we're sophomores in high school now. Even when we first met, pretty much our entire friend group had figured out the truth about Santa, but we all figured she was just a late developer in that sense and kind of ignored it. Flash forward to high school, and I make a joke about him not being real in front of her. She get's offended, and even though I think she's joking at first, turns out she still believes in Santa. I try to break it to her (because come on, we're in high school) but the rest of my friends tell me to stop because I'm upsetting her. Anyways, this year the same thing happened/is happening. I would have told her already, but two things are holding me back: 1. Our friends don't want me to upset her, and they'll get mad if I do. I pretty much only hang out with her when we're in a group of friends. 2. She's a relatively shy person, so nobody besides our friend group know this about her. She would get made fun of if it came out, however. It just seems kind of cruel to let her keep believing. But since it's not really harming her, I don't know if it's worth it. Thanks for the help! |

I moved about 2 hours away and I can't stand it in this town. It is so small and I only have 3 friends. In my old town which was much bigger, I had over 30 friends. I have talked to my parents but they won't listen. I am always bawling and crying about how I miss my friends and I can't live without them. The middle school looked so fun and my friends on Instagram are always talking about how much fun they have and how I miss everything. I want to move but my parents won't listen!! What should I say to them to at least consider moving back? |

Posted: 01 Jan 2016 12:54 PM PST i have a close cousin that i've known since i was born. we loved each other like we were sisters and have so many memories together. she would never do anything to hurt me or betray me. recently i found out she was talking about me and my family behind my back and none of what she said is true or even makes sense. i used to be really depressed and did harmful things to myself in the past and she was the only person who knew about it until i went to the hospital for breaking my ankle and the nurse seen what was on my arms. only my mother and father were there and now it was only four people who knew and my parents would never speak about it to anyone. some how people started hearing about what happened and i didn't know until now. why would she do that? she knows how personal that was and i had already gotten over it? and she also lied about how my younger brother beats my mom. he would never! and she says my family treats me like **** and they ruined my life and they are the reason i'm so depressed and have no friends. just because i have no friends doesn't mean it's my family's fault. she chased all my friend off in the past because she thought she was gonna loose me. her mother is mentally ill and she lives with her aunt. i'm really hurt rn because i trusted her and she just goes and tells everyone all my deepest secrets. can anyone tell me why she would do these things? |
