Question: Do men take the time to write *just* friendship letters to women? Posted: 02 Feb 2020 05:39 PM PST I got a heartfelt note/letter from a close male friend of mine - shortly after he found out I was moving. It was not necessarily confessional about loving me, but it definitely was sentimental, had genuine compliments/emotion, and made me tear up. It was a letter of appreciation and love, but not a direct confession or anything. My question is - can this be purely a friendship letter? I have never heard of men taking the time to write a letter unless it is a love letter. |
Question: Why did my EMF reader go off on my roommate's body? Posted: 02 Feb 2020 01:46 PM PST It didn't pick up anything else in the room but around her throat it started beeping. I tried it on myself and nothing happened. |
Question: I want my best friend back, but I don’t know how to show it? Posted: 02 Feb 2020 01:26 PM PST Hello :) thank you so much for helping me make the right decisions. Before I met my best friend, I was lonely. I was a freshman in high school. I started off with no friends, i ate alone and sometimes I would avoid being around people and eat in the bathroom (sounds gross i know). He's helped me so much. No only that, he helps me with everything. There's nothing I've been through that he doesn't know about. In return, I try my best to make him happy too, like give him gifts, tighter hugs, compliments, and I thank him everyday. Getting to the point, we haven't been in contact for almost 3 weeks now. Everyone assumed we were dating! And I guess it was annoying to him. Teachers would ask, strangers would ask, people would harass us about it and follow us around. Eventually, he got tired of it and kept his distance from me. He asks people how I'm doing, and I believe we're still on good terms. Is there a way to fix this? My plan is to give him a gift, but I don't want to be bothersome. Even though we both know it's not my fault. I miss him a lot, but do you guys think our friendship wasn't worth it? Is it too late to go back? The most irritating part of this is when we argue or something happens we never know what to say. We just sit and look at each other, and we wait for both of us to make a move. It just never went this far to the point he completely cut me off. I'd feel bad if I were bothering him. We have stopped talking, but we never tried to cut each other off. My friends think I should talk to him, I just don't know where to start because he's the one who cut me off. What makes me feel kind of guilty is I think i was one of his closest guy friends as well... he doesn't hang around people often anymore, he doesn't act the same anymore, and I heard by a friend that he isn't doing his work. I used to always help him with his work, I want things to get better. |
Question: Why was my dad eating ice cream off my mom's belly? Posted: 02 Feb 2020 01:14 PM PST I came home today and walked in on that. He had a spoon and was eating it. It looked weird as hell and I asked what tvey were doing but he told me to go to my room. |
Posted: 02 Feb 2020 01:02 PM PST on my face. I said that bec i was trying to get to the line for the ride and she was like "WHAT" then she slapped my arm and ngl it hurt so then I said "what the heck?" She said "You deserved it so you cant do it back" I was like "No I do not deserved to be slapped in my arm like that" We were having a short little argument abt it then I was just like "ok whatever" I told my mom this and she was mad. It might be as im being dramatic but she also slapped my face in front of my mom and said "sorry" only bec my mom shocked. Then she was like "did that even hurt?" I said no but she didn't have to slap my face like that. Let me know what you think bec to me I feel as if she comfortable with "jokeing" around like that, i've also never not once touched her like that in any way just because i didn't get my way. |
Posted: 02 Feb 2020 12:48 PM PST When u had your first break up, were the two of you still friends/best friends? And is it weird to date other people if you two are still friends/best friends? |
Posted: 02 Feb 2020 12:28 PM PST I dont know. I love my best friend to death; I'd do anything for him. I'd die for him. I have loved him since we became friends, and I try to tell him I love and appreciate him all the time. He has only said love you to me 3 times, and says he only says it to people "he really loves". OUCH. I know he doesnt like me back because he talks to this girl online hes never met he likes. My heart is broken because I am in love with my best friend and i know i can never have him. Im crying right now. Should I end the friendship? We are both sixteen |
Question: I have a question for Tik-Tok users......? Posted: 02 Feb 2020 12:27 PM PST How do you friend someone on this app? I have been using the app for about six months, and have had people on my friends this before, but I don't remember how to do it, and I'd like to get in touch with a certain person. |

Question: Would this be ok to say to a friend? Posted: 02 Feb 2020 11:32 AM PST This person considers me a good friend and she doesn't speak very good English although she's lived in the USA for over 20 years. She has told me in the past that she trusts me. When she gives me advice even when I don't ask for it, she's not good at it. Would it be ok to say, "I appreciate the advice, but you're not good at it." If that's not ok to say, what is recommended to say without hurting the person's feelings. |
Question: How to tell my mom to cover up? Posted: 02 Feb 2020 10:44 AM PST She walks around the house in a bra and oanties where her whole *** cheek is exposed and it's really annoying. Once when I looked she got really mad and told me how much of a pervert I am. |
Question: Does my friend sound delusional to you? Posted: 02 Feb 2020 10:38 AM PST Me and my best friend are 17, my best friend insists as soon as she turns 18 she will cut off contact with her family and she will leave to South Korea to work in the music industry. South Korea is on the other side of the world and she has £2000 in cash all together. I told her to consider the cons, like, what if she won't get accepted into the country? Or if she does, will she find it easy to manoeuvre around a foreign country with different laws all by herself? I told her to be realistic and to save up money and rent an apartment away from her family as soon as she turns 18 if she hates them so much, I even offered to live with her so she's not alone. I told her to save up into her 20s and then once she's more experienced and perhaps had a holiday over there then she can emigrate. She says that she loves me and she cares about me but then she plans on dropping me and her family/friends to leave to the other side of the world and potentially get hurt?! She'll be by herself and who is to say that she would be happy over there? She is depressed and it's predominantly circumstantial - her family treats her poorly and it gets her down. She believes she can run away from her problems She only wants to go to Korea because she likes singing and she is obsessed with the Korean boy band BTS. Perhaps she believes she will marry one of them if she manages to get big in the music industry? I don't know, but that sure is the impression I'm getting. What should I say to her? She gets offended when I tell her what I want and who I love, then she insists that he's bad for me. I lost my mom to cancer and this guy is the love of my life, my friend said that I'm stupid and I should move on. I told her that everyone I've ever loved has either died or left me and she said she wouldn't understand because she has never loved anyone.. I don't judge her, but she somehow has the audacity to judge me?! She is messaging me at the moment talking about the law of attraction and how it will guide her down the right route so she doesn't have to worry and all that bs |
Question: Why do my classmates think like this? Posted: 02 Feb 2020 09:38 AM PST Last friday one of my classmates called me a faggottt because i told them i didn't care about the superbowl. why is this? |
Question: Is it wrong to not a invite 1 friend to the party? Posted: 02 Feb 2020 07:58 AM PST It's a Superbowl party. A small one at my house. I cook every Sunday for family and on the Superbowl, I've invited friends over before. I have a friend who has a couple kids. She's the only friend with kids. They're cute kids but the boy screams and he doesn't mind. He won't play in the other room like I ask. So the one time I had friends over for the Superbowl, they ran around the coffee table in the living room over and over again after I asked them to stop multiple times in front of their mom. In doing that, they spilt drinks. You couldn't hear the game from how loud he talks. And even though she gets on to them, they don't listen to her or me. Some of the family was mad when they left. (One got poked in the eye) Sooo.. I want friends to come over but I don't want her kids there. So I invited 2 friends over and told them not to say anything to her about it. Is that wrong? |
Question: What means if your best friend tries to steel your friends? Posted: 02 Feb 2020 07:17 AM PST I have a friend who soposse to be my best friend and we are both females Well when i indroduce her my other friends she tries to steel them from me She goes out with them without tell me that and when they asked her about me she says lies that i dont go out and always stay at home Why she tries to steel everything that i have???what is her problem??? Question: What to do with an obtrusive friend? Posted: 02 Feb 2020 04:47 AM PST I'll call her Nancy. Almost everyone needs a friend, and I felt sorry for Nancy (not her real name) because she had no one. So I was friendly. But she's driving me up the wall. She sees me as her best friend, wants closeness I don't feel for her. She's intelligent enough but is irritatingly lacking in sense, and intrudes into my business. She thinks she's a great problem solver (she's not), and tries to solve mine. I tell her I'd rather do things myself, and she will back off, but then intrude again. I am open and honest, but she not only doesn't seem to take hints, she "forgets" my request she let me take care of my own things. She once told me how she is trying to be a better friend, and did it in such a way that it was obviously schooling ME how to be a better friend. I don't text her often, I don't visit (she's a cat lady and her house stinks to high heaven), I don't try to "fix" things for her, but I listen and if she wants my opinion I'll give it. She cannot seem to understand. She's lonely and needs a friend, so she probably doesn't WANT to "get it". I care about Nancy's problems, I care that she's lonely. Everyone needs someone. And I feel bad that I just don't enjoy her company. Makes me feel like a terrible person, as everyone needs someone. |
Question: My friend says he hates medicine? Posted: 01 Feb 2020 11:17 PM PST My friend at work seems to get cut and burned a lot (We work in fast food) and I always ask him why he doesn't put on any ointments or creams before a bandage. His reply is "I don't like medicine" and I'm like ..???? what do you mean? It's just external medicine. It's not like it's internal like pills or a shot (Which he doesn't use either so he takes forever to get over a sickness) Why would you not like or want to use anything external? It helps you heal faster. And he is just like "I just don't like medicine.." kind of shy looking or embarassed while saying this. I am very confused. I have never heard of this before. Could this be some kind of phobia? Past childhood trama? What do you think his reasons are for not wanting to use medicine of any kind? I don't mean to be all up and pry in people's business, I just worry about him and want him to be healthy. And I just find it very unusual and frankly very frustrating. I want to help him when he's hurt, but he is so stubborn to accept help from medicine of any kind when he needs it. He just likes to heal the hard way with no treatment. I don't get his reasoning... Anyone heard of this before and what could have caused this? Not sure where I should have catagorized this.. For the people who are telling me to stop telling him to use medicine, I've only mentioned it to him probably twice on the year I've known him. And they were times where the cuts or burns were not minor. So It's like I'm hounding him or anything..I let him do his own thing. He is just stubborn sometimes and refuses help when he actually needs it. Not* like I'm houding him |

Question: Is it really a big deal? Posted: 01 Feb 2020 07:23 PM PST This was almost a month ago but I have a sister named Brittani and my mom took me to her house to get my hair extensions taken down and get my hair done. Brittani and my niece helped me take my hair down and putted them in a bag. Once they were finished taking down my hair, put the bag of hair on the table because the garbage was full. Brittani noticed a bag of hair on the table and then she called me and told me to come here. She told me why I didn't put it in the trash can and explained to her that it was full. She told me to put it on the floor then. She went to clean up the table. I simply was pissed off and have negative thoughts at her and told her it isn't a big deal. To her it is a big deal and she told me to not get smacked by her. I told her to shut up but she probably didn't hear me. I actually should have screamed that word out loud. Besides the hair was in a bag, so what is there to clean up? Like come on Brittani, use your brain! I know that this was a while ago but hey, I'm kinda still thinking about that and getting madder once I think about it and thought about something else I could do if she or pisses me off. So what do you guys think, was it really a big deal setting a bag of hair on the table? |
Question: Is my friend a sociopath? Posted: 01 Feb 2020 04:27 PM PST college student here. can someone tell if my roommate is a sociopath or has sociopathic tendencies? I'll give examples of what he does that makes me upset/ think that he's a sociopath. - he 100% has a superficial charm with anyone he encounters and has a lot of "friends" When we go to the cafeteria together he literally stops and talks for 10 minutes with at-least 3 different people each time. He also totally ditches me and pretends im not even there when he sees friends. (everyone who knows him literally loves him like it's weird) - he lacks empathy with girls (treats girls like objects. literally. Once he has sex a few times with the girls he chooses he then completely blocks them out then calls them ugly, fat, etc. - I had my weed in a jar sitting on my desk and the next morning it was gone. When I asked him about he admitted it but didn't say sorry / pay me back. all he said was "it was barely enough to even get me high don't worry about it" - we'll make plans to do something or go out but then one of his other friends will call him and he'll totally blow me off without even saying anything about it. (lack of empathy) That was just handful of the (bad) things he's done, but he also has a good side which I really like. Almost like split personality. I dont think he's some crazy sociopathic killer or anything, just very conceded. He also told me once that he feels like everyone expects him to always be the "happy guy" & that he's secretly depressed and. thoughts? |
Posted: 01 Feb 2020 02:38 AM PST I saw a Family Guy episode where a cow got horny from being milked so at the cafeteria I said milk is cow sperm and a girl at my table believed it and went to throw her cereal in the trash bin. |
