Question: How to handle my boyfriend’s severe anger? Posted: 23 Feb 2020 01:57 PM PST I wanted to surprise my bf by cooking him breakfast. Instead of being happy about that, he sulked, then ate half of it and threw the rest in the trash. I commented by saying, "Wow you threw half of it away. You must not have been hungry". After that, he blew up on me and literally screamed at me. He claims I "ruined our day" by "waking out of the bedroom without saying anything to him" (he was sleeping) to "spend time in the kitchen alone for an hour" (I was cooking). Then he claimed that I mentioned that he threw half of his breakfast away with an attitude. No matter how much I tried talking to him about it, he just responded to everything that I said by saying that I just "only care about being right" and I need to take blame for what I did. I left the room to calm down and I heard him punch a hole in the closet door. I came back into the room and cried and apologized (because I was angry and I said things which didn't help). We cuddled and he said he wanted to get out of the house today. I asked him where he wanted to go and when he wanted to leave and he said "I don't know". So I continued to cuddled with him until he exploded again because he was angry that I was "falling asleep" (which I wasn't) and I wasn't showing that I "cared enough" because I didn't get ready. I left the room again. He came out an hour later to tell me that I ruined our day, everything is my fault and I'm "not normal". He has spent the entire day laying in bed with all the lights off. I'm not trying to get validation for breaking up with him. I just want advice on how to handle this. |
Question: How to get my brother in trouble? Posted: 23 Feb 2020 01:57 PM PST My mom clearly favors my 12 year old brother over me and he constantly makes up stuff to get me in trouble. I am a 4.0 student and play multiple sports and am in the national honor society. My brother barely has a b- average and only plays video games. I have no idea why my mom would favor my brother over me. I need some ideas to get my brother in trouble so my mom will actually notice me and i will be even with him. |
Posted: 23 Feb 2020 01:25 PM PST I've been living on my own for years. My sister failed to find a roommate so I agreed to let her live with me until she found one. Two years later she now thinks I'm being abusive to consider leaving and *only* giving her a 3 MONTH notice (when the lease is up) she says she will become homeless. My sister pays rent but does not help with utilities ($300-350 per month) and has the larger room though pays same rent as me. My parents are having issues with their marriage so me sister invited our mom to stay with us a few nights per week. Because my mom is bitter she is trying to break me up with my boyfriend. How do I make them see how invasive this all is?! |
Question: My brother won’t talk to anyone in the family it hurts ? Posted: 23 Feb 2020 12:25 PM PST Our father died unexpectedly of a heart attack a year ago. I have 3 older brothers I'm the youngest and the only girl. I lived really far away from my father. I called him every weekend and we would talk. I flew out to visit on holidays and when I could. Me and my oldest brother Ryan had a very close relationship. When our father died he completely changed. He flipped out on all of my other brothers and I claiming we never did enough and we weren't good children to our father. (Our other brother lived right down the street from my dad and always took care of him.) After my fathers death we found out my father left EVERYTHING to my oldest brother. I never got a photograph. All I wanted was this one picture my father had hanging in his home of him and I when I was young that's all I wanted my brother would not give it to me. We all haven't heard from my brother since my dad died a year ago. It really hurts me a lot and I often feel depressed about everything. I don't know what to do most of the time I'm fine but sometimes it hurts. Any advice on how to move on from all of this? My 2 other brothers have seemed to move on and now hate my oldest brother and our father. |
Question: My parents say im a disapointment? Posted: 23 Feb 2020 11:27 AM PST my parents say that i was a disapointment in my grades and life. they said they should of just aborted me now i feel like **** and i haven't at in 3 days what do i do GIVE ME ANSWERS |
Posted: 23 Feb 2020 11:17 AM PST I have a 6 yo SD who I only see once a week. I've known her for 2 years. It's hard for me to tell her "I love you" because I am rarely around her and I want to wait until she says it first. I do show her love. She has said "I love you" in the past, so should I wait until she says it first if I'm not comfortable? |
Question: How do I convey to my parent that I’m not eating sugar? Posted: 23 Feb 2020 10:41 AM PST Lately I've been trying to quit sugar for many health reasons, the main one being breaking my addiction and my genetic-predestination of being fat. I have told my Dad and my step mom both and they both know I want to halt sugar consumption. The thing is they completely ignore what I tell them like I am a toddler rambling on about something whack, and constantly give me sugary junk food anyway. Now I can't deny their food, not because of lack of will, but because my dad has the mental capacity of the number 3 as well as the anger issues of a cornered monkey, and my step mom likes to hold grudges and start drama like a middle school girl. So when it comes to shutting them down they kind of explode and continue to feed me crap anyway. How do I convey that glucose no no and veggies good good? |
Question: How should I handle this ABA lady and her line of questioning? Posted: 23 Feb 2020 10:05 AM PST My son gets in home therapy 3 times a week, 3 hours each visit. There are 2 ladies who come, one often but the manager comes to see how things are going and stays for full therapy time about twice a month, some times 3 times. She always, asks my son, what did you do this week (especially now we just had winter break from school last week). If my son doesn't answer, she asks me. Which the point in asking is to have him work on responding. We live on the East coast, New England. It is freaking cold outside, COLD some days range in 12 degrees up to 30 degrees. We don't have a car, so we spend most of our time in the house during the winter. Spring and Summer, we are always outside but not during Winter. I feel when she asks these questions, I feel anxious, nervous, judged for not being active with him. worried (that she thinks i'm a bad mother). I think I'm an excellent mother but jeesus, I'm not going out for walks (no car) in freezing degree weather. Should I ask the ABA lady directly when she asks my son that (which is the first question she asks him 3 times in a row until she gets a satisfied answer) what are her intentions, does she have any concerns? Is there a point in asking what we do on our private time? It really does bother me. So what should I ask her what her intentions are? I hate how I feel, she makes me feel inappropriate. Any suggestions? I'm looking for real answers for help. Please don't be insulting. I tried to figure it out on my own but at this point, I'd like to hear from others of ideas that I have not/could not think of myself Patricia - thank you! |
Question: How do I get all my school work done by tonight? So stressed? Posted: 23 Feb 2020 09:49 AM PST I have a math test tomorrow plus an english essay and quiz tomorrow and I'm at my grandmas and don't get back until tonight so I don't know how i'm going to do all my work and study by tomorrow! i don't have my school stuff here at my grandmas |
Question: Is my son really a superman son? Posted: 23 Feb 2020 09:11 AM PST He gives me flowers and says he loves me. |
Posted: 23 Feb 2020 08:03 AM PST My spouse is going on their 30th bday trip for ten days with a coworker (I am cool with the person) I'll be left alone with our toddler during that time. We really don't have any family support where we live. They're going to a really non interesting place that I feel he/she is just visiting because of the coworker said so and you can get relatively cheap flights there. My spouse has been really shady on details. We just got back from an out of country trip in December, my spouse really didn't help plan or do anything much regarding it, they were more interested in their own lil bday trip. I feel as if ten days is way to long especially for where they say they're going and that it's just leisure. I was thinking five/six days max. The flight is probably no more than 9 hours from us. Clarification - wife and female coworker |

Question: Am I right to never have sex? Posted: 23 Feb 2020 07:27 AM PST I don't want to have children in this chaotic world to suffer. If I get a girlfriend she will want to have children in one way or another, so it is better not to relate. It is rare to find a woman who does not want to have children. It is difficult to know if she is telling the truth, she can pierce the condoms. She can pierce the condom. |

Question: I am dreading the inevitable, deaths in the family. How do I stop worrying about it? Posted: 23 Feb 2020 04:45 AM PST Also, when an extended family member dies how do I go to the funeral if it is out of town when my father, who I work for, will insist I not go since he thinks it is silly to travel for extended family. That is my main obsession these days since one is 90 and weaker so likely will go in next year or two. |
Question: How can I fix my relationship with my parents? Posted: 22 Feb 2020 11:22 PM PST How can I fix our relationship? We had a great relationship until they found out I like other girls. Now they think I am sleeping with every girl I see but I am still a virgin. before we spent a lot of time together but now when I am at home I spend all my time alone(but online)in my room and when they do talk to me they use mean words and are rude and some times yell at me. How can it go back to how it used to be? |
Question: I want our relationship to work but she doesn't always feel the same ? Posted: 22 Feb 2020 10:37 PM PST I've been with her for many years now. We were once engaged, and we have two babies together (i also helped care for her daughter from a previous relationship) and we also have a home together. Things spiraled downhill due to my immaturity and messing around.. it was terrible. She eventually cheated as well with daughters' father, and even talked about my character and degraded me as a man. I know I've made mistakes but the fact that she spoke so negatively about me to him is what really bothered me. Overtime, we grew tired of forcing it and she got back with her daughters' father. I understood and lived with my sister in the meantime, but strongly desired my family and home again. We don't need to be together for the kids sake but I still want to fight for my family and her. We coparent very well and it makes me miss her even more. I'm willing to do whatever it takes and I think she does too but often has many 2nd thoughts which is understandable Question: how would you handle this ? |
Question: Neighbor kid was in my house, I wasn't home. ? Posted: 22 Feb 2020 08:45 PM PST My neighbor has a 4 year old that is constantly wandering the neighborhood. Today I came home and the kiddo walked up my stairs to greet me in my kitchen. He had crawled through my doggy door and was playing in my house while we weren't home. My husband went and talked to the boys family who did seem to care. They don't watch him and had no idea where he was! What do I do now? |
Question: Why does my older sister target me when she wants to argue? Posted: 22 Feb 2020 08:31 PM PST My sister is 25 and I'm 21. She's 5 foot 9 and I'm 5 foot 4. My sister always picked on me since I was able to talk. When I was young my parents would tell her to leave me alone but as we got older it only gotten worse and now she is defended and im told to ignore it. When i try to vent to my parents they tell me they dont wanna hear it. Probably b3cause she is louder than both of them. When you compare me and my sister im the better looking one but she claims i dont look better than her. She's a lesbian and wears boyish clothing im feminine and girly and straight. She likes to fight about who has a better life like she owns a messy apartment and i live with my dad in a duplex. Ive asked for help about this before because it has been going on for so long and my sister is too prideful to say im sorry i was wrong will you forgive me? Im always the one at fault and i dont know whats wrong with her that shes gotta control my emotions whenever She's around me. Like can someone tell me why she's doin this? Cause everytime i see her she is mad and tries to argue. When its just me and my other family members there is no argument. Sometimes i feel helpless like i cant stop it so i might as well give up i feel like no one can help me. But one time when i was younger my sister flicked me on the neck cause i was ignoring her insults. And then another time she ate my waffle to get mw to start crying. I cant fight her cause she really wants to fight me. Whats wrong with her |
Posted: 22 Feb 2020 06:14 PM PST I feel my cousins will view me as disloyal also. The uncle has not died yet but has cancer and probably a year or so to live. |
Question: Why is everyone overreacting to caronavirus ? Posted: 22 Feb 2020 06:01 PM PST It isn't even that deadly it's mortality rate is 2% and usually only old young or people with bad immune systems die from it!! why is it always in the news constantly it's so stupid it's not worse then the flu |
Question: Tired of my abusive father but I can't find the way out? Posted: 22 Feb 2020 04:54 PM PST I'm an adult over 18 years old. I remember my childhood wasn't happy where my birthday wishes and party stopped at age 6. One year I asked him to celebrate my birthday and he loud mouthed yelling at me when I was not even 10. After all abusive language and one violent event where he hit my head and I fell on the ground that broke a part of my front tooth. He was sorry; however, his narnissic personality never changed. Recently, he asked me to go to my brother's party at 1pm. I told him I might be late and I asked I would appreciate if I was told a day ahead. He loud mouthed and called me names so we fought. The issue is not even an issue but he still tried to make a big deal. He then called people and told lies about me, how horrible I was because I did not obey his command. I cannot disown him. I'm trapped into this abusive family relationship and I don't know how to get out? |
Question: Resentment against my (formerly) rich grandmother.? Posted: 22 Feb 2020 04:17 PM PST My grandmother at one point was a millionaire. She would travel all the time, have tons of jewlery, earning and spending millions every year. My brothers my father my uncles and cousins shared in the wealth. I was a castaway from my fathers family due to my fathers infedility being the reason for my birth and my mother having no relationship with the family. No one in the family reached out to me and claimed it wasnt his responsibility. My father was deadbeat. I grew up with my mom and her side of my family. Sometime after my sixth birthday. The family fortunes declined. And within about 3 years my grandmother lost all her assets. Six years after that she lost her six bedroom house. And now lives in the ghetto. Present day I just found all this out staring from about a year and a half ago. I didnt know anything about my father let alone his mom. She neglected me during my childhood and if you ask me she deserved what happened to her. Im trying to let go of this. |
Posted: 22 Feb 2020 03:09 PM PST So all week my mother is hounding me to clean the house because we have people coming over. I have been so sluggish, fatigued and down lately, I can barely get up and go to class. So I clean the house (I can't even get a thank you) and the people come and everything is over. So my mom dirties up the house again and goes to work today. All day she's ringing my phone telling me to do her laundry, clean the dishes, clean the bathroom, etc. I don't do it. So she comes home and yells at me and tells me to get a job and calls me lazy and then she gets on the phone and tells the whole family about how she can't stand me |
