Posted: 16 Feb 2020 07:36 PM PST I'm dating this girl and just found out she has a baby. If we were to get married would I have to pay child support even though I'm not the biological father? I live in California. |
Question: Should I allow my spouse to read my thoughts on our frequent disagreements? Posted: 16 Feb 2020 07:33 PM PST Every time we argue or my spouse approaches me with what I deem as negativity I write out my thoughts on the incident and store it on my phone. This is how I deal with the constant badgering and how I remain calm. In the past I have texted my thoughts to my spouse but it was always discarded and ignored. My spouse would usually responded with premeditated thoughts (on repeat) and we argue all day because I don't agree with my spouses thinking or tell my spouse I agree. I feel my written thoughts will lead to more arguing. |

Question: Did I cheat on my girlfriend, is this a forgivable offense? Posted: 16 Feb 2020 04:35 PM PST I have been with my girlfriend together for 6 years now. 3 years ago I was out with a few of my friends. I got really drunk and had a fragmentary blackout. At one point in the night, I called a girl that I used to talk to back in high school with the intention of smoking some weed at the end of the night. The girl never picked up the phone and I never spoke to her but just calling her really makes me feel guilty. A few days before she told me to call her I I ever wanted to smoke or anything. I believe I called her with the intention of smoking but who knows what could have happened especially how drunk I was. Anyways she never picked up the phone and we never spoke or at least I don't think she actually picked up the phone. The main thing I know is we never met up or anything and I never spoke to her again afterwards. How bad is this offense, should I have told my girlfriend. |

Question: What would make a guy act like this? Posted: 16 Feb 2020 03:09 PM PST this guy knew I liked him. he went away and when hed come back id say hi and have a chat. While he was away the next time his friend told us he got a gf and was in love. When he came home next time I ignored him since there was no reason for me to like him and I wasn't going to feed his ego to make him feel desirable. He came up to me while I was with a friend having coffee and said 'sitting around as usual''. When I looked up he was then standing right in front of me and my friend and said ''you ignored me''. I was trying to figure out how he thinks he has the right to react to me like that, I never insulted him. |
Posted: 16 Feb 2020 02:24 PM PST My husband has 2 little kids with ex wife. She and her husband spent all day with them yesterday, we got the kids that evening and not even a couple of hours later, she FaceTimed them. Then an hour later, FaceTimed them again, then 2 more times in between. Is this excessive? I'm not really sure if my husband called her or if she did, but would 4 times be a lot considering it's our time to spend with them? |

Question: Who sits in the front seat? Wife or mother ? Posted: 16 Feb 2020 01:48 PM PST In many cases it can be different. I understand with kids the mom may want to sit in the back with the kids or with her spouse etc. In my case though, if I pick up my mother and sister along with my wife for a spa day, who should get shotgun? |
Question: Is my husband correct in insisting to wake me up in this situation? Posted: 16 Feb 2020 01:34 PM PST The night before, my husband and I agreed to go to church the next day. No time was set. Mass hours are til 5 pm. We were in our hotel room. I was still sleeping when I suddenly woke up. I saw my son on his iPad and told him to stop using his iPad and then I went back to sleep. My husband was next to him but he is not one to tell our son to read or work on his Math lessons. I was drifting back to sleep when my husband, (Btw, I on the other hotel bed. We haven't shared a bed at home for half the years we've been married) called my name. I didn't respond thinking he we would get it that I went back to sleep but no he kept calling my name until I responded. He said there was a mass at 1pm. This caused a fight. If a person doesn't respond to you, doesn't it mean she probably went back to sleep? Would you insist? The room was still with the drapes still closed. I was not responding. What do you think? |
Posted: 16 Feb 2020 01:20 PM PST Hey all. i want to thank you in advance for your feedback and answers. i am a mother of 3 children that i had within the 10 year marriage of my ex husband and i. my oldest being 12, as well as 5 and 3. the two youngest are boys. My ex husband and i entered a 50/50 parenting plan 2 years ago, following our divorce. I agreed to this and it didnt go to trial because at the time he had a job where he was home every single night and saw his kids when they were supposed to be in his care. well, that has changed now and for the past 8 months he has been working for a long haul truck driving company, and is on the road 26 days out of the month. He no longer communicates with me. All communication goes through his wife, obviously, his wife picks the kids up and drops them off and watches them while he is gone, his wife is his complete stand in. its like hes fell off the face of the earth except for 3 days a month when he sees the kids. i want to modify this parenting plan, because i feel like if he is not even physically present 95% when the kids are in his care, then the kids should be with their biological mother, not their step mother. i am in the state of washington, and the attorney that i hired, stated that i can only enter a minor modification on this parenting plan based on the laws. . i dont understand how an absent parent can remain in half custody when theyre not even present. what can i do to get my children in my care when their father isnt present. my middle child is just now starting to say "i dont want to go to their house anymore mom, because daddy never comes home". This is heartbreaking because i feel like my hands are completely tied. My two youngest boys dont understand why daddy doesn't come home anymore. do you guys think there is anything i can do so that i can have the children in my care and get sole custody, with visitation of dad? Dad is completely uncooperative because he doesnt want an increase in child support i dont know where the misunderstanding is coming in that he has them MORE than myself. I have the 50% of the time and he has them 50% of the time. I AM PHYSICALLY AND EMOTIONALLY PRESENT IN WASHINGTON WHEN THEY ARE MY CARE. HE IS NOT. |
Question: Why would my job call me if i requested the day off and it got approved? Posted: 16 Feb 2020 01:07 PM PST I requested the day off and the manager who makes the schedule approved it. However, another manager must of called me without looking at the printed schedule to get me to come in. I requested the day off because its a werkend celebration in my family. Today is my sisters birthday, yesterday was my husbands birthday and mine (yes we have the same birthday one year apart!) and later tonight we are celebrating mine and my husbands birthday with my inlaws and i missed the call from work because i was out with my family this morning for brunch (had the sound off my phone to not be rude didnt think work would call) They do this to me all the time, calling me on days it has been approved I can have off. Why is this? I request off for a reason... meaning i needed the day off. If you wanted me to come in you shouldnt have approved me to have off then. |

Question: My family is pushing me to date after my husband died I just can’t ? Posted: 16 Feb 2020 10:23 AM PST My husband passed away 6 years ago at the age of 25. I haven't dated anyone seriously since. Im 31 now and my family keeps pushing me to start dating and meeting men again. I know it's been 5 years and I need to move on but I am still struggling and just have no interest in dating. Any advice? Should I just try online dating? My husband and I were together since we were 14 so I never dated anyone else ever. |
Question: Why does my husband seem upset when I ask him why he doesn’t help with our child? Posted: 16 Feb 2020 10:13 AM PST We both work full time. When we are home he mainly sleeps, plays on his phone or computer and that's it. For me I'm taking care of our child and cleaning our home. Then in between I try to find time to relax to myself. He kinda gets all quiet and seems annoyed that I'm upset about him not helping. Why is he upset? Am I in the wrong to be upset that he's not helping? |
Question: I could really use some emotional advise ? Posted: 16 Feb 2020 08:41 AM PST Hi everyone, my husband and I have been married for 4 years. I am in my mid 20's and he's in his early 30's. We have a 2 year old son and a 2 weeks old son. My husband wanted us to start having children immediately after marriage, I got pregnant after year 1 of our marriage. I work full time, i go to school online and I do cleaning and cooking, etc. by myself. My husband is a disabled veteran so he has income, so he doesn't work. We live alone without any friends or family members around. After I first got pregnant I became so drained and tired doing everything, being a student, a wife and a mother. My husband started to complain that we are not having sex as often as we used to. I tried to fix the issue regardless of how tired I am. I then got pregnant the second time and during my pregnancy I became extremely tired and I was in alot of pains. My husband started saying he felt neglected again so he malice me. I gave birth 2 weeks ago and I am so stressed. My husband said I stopped being a wife and he needs a divorce so that he can get someone to make him happy. He is also very disrespectful and he said I am doing too many things. Btw I have to work because he alone cannot pay the bills. He hasn't hugged or kissed me since I gave birth and my birthday was last week and he didn't even remember even though I reminded him the day before. He told me yesterday that I was the biggest mistake he ever made in his life. He has never been a person open to get counseling. Advise? |

Question: What does this mean? Posted: 16 Feb 2020 06:59 AM PST What does it mean when your spouse compares a birth control method that his ex wife used and said I should try it? |
Question: Getting fed up with my wife’s financial situation. ? Posted: 16 Feb 2020 06:33 AM PST I got married a year ago. My wife has a professional job as a substitute teacher. She works for 1 school and goes in everyday. I never realized when I married her how little money she was making. She only brings home 550.00 every 2 weeks. She has a teaching license but said she likes substitute teaching more then actual teaching in the classroom. I make around 35000 per year as a paramedic which is terrible money. We have a 1BR apartment we pay around 750 per month. That's not bad but when you add in all the other expenses especially both of our student loans combined we owe about 80000. She also racked up some major credit card debt prior to us getting married that I only recently found out about. My mom currently pays my car insurance and cell phone and her mother pays her cell phone bill. I'm 25 she's 27. I'm starting to resent my wife for not even attempting to get a better job. She keeps insisting we are perfectly fine the way we are but I'm honestly not so sure. What can I do? We are sort of living pay check to pay check and we aren't saving a dime. How do I discuss this with her every time I bring up her getting a better job or second job it ends in a huge argument. |
Question: I'm looking for a woman to marry, is it you? Posted: 16 Feb 2020 05:30 AM PST I don't want women that are assertive or really confident in themselves. They shouldn't be argumentative but they should be submissive and they should take pride in their ability to please their husband in and out of bed. |
Question: How can I stop being jealous? ? Posted: 16 Feb 2020 05:27 AM PST I'm needing some advice, please. My husband has 2 kids with his ex wife. I can't stop feeling jealous every time we meet her to get the kids or vice versa. She's about to have another child with her husband and we all met up and my husband points at her stomach and says, "what's going on there?" Then, we had just got the kids and not a couple of hours later, the mom FaceTimed them 4 times. I don't know why that bothered me because 4 seemed excessive. Then, my husband and I were talking about birth control options, and he said that I should really try a certain kind because his ex wife did and nothing happened to her, meaning side effects. Sometimes I feel like my husband still has feelings for her because he mentions her a lot, mainly in front of kids though. Did he straight up compare me to her about birth control? He really wants me on it. I know there's nothing going on, so why do I feel jealous? How can I stop being jealous? I also posted a picture of him on Facebook and how I appreciated him and he didn't like it or acknowledge it |
Posted: 16 Feb 2020 03:35 AM PST Does she still have rights to see him? If me and my husband don't want my parents to see our baby. |
Question: Does anyone else get annoyed when men pester you for sex? Posted: 15 Feb 2020 11:47 PM PST I love sex just as much as anyone else however when a man pesters me about sex 6-7 times per day every day I start to get turned off. Example I had just gotten out of the hospital after having surgery from tearing my meniscus so bad. My (now) ex husband wanted sex the day after I got out of the hospital. I couldn't even move and all the man could think about was sex. I find that when men "pester" me for sex I get annoyed and don't put out as much. I'd rather it come naturally. Anyone else feel this way? |
Question: What to do about dating when you've only slept with one man your whole life? Posted: 15 Feb 2020 11:19 PM PST I married at 21. Got a divorced 25 yrs later. But have only been with my husband sexually. It's embarrassing to me. Should I ever tell my new boyfriend and if so when? What will he think? |

Posted: 15 Feb 2020 10:55 PM PST I got married at 20 years old. Never moved out my parents out until then to someone in the military that I had barely known. I believed him and fell in love and unfortunately things didn't go as planned. We got pregnant and our daughter passed away two weeks later in the NICU. But he also lied about continued drug use which led to a lot of problems and me even getting involved. It's been chaos even since. I got pregnant less than two years later with our son we have now, who was also in the same NICU. I've worked my a** off taking care of my son all alone. No one has helped me and neither has he. Now, nine years later, he wants to act as if he is better than me now and can do no wrong. He puts me down being a stay at home mom...knowing everything we have been through. Not only our daughter dying, but financial struggles, infidelity to a degree, lies/drug use and denial. I believed someone and ruined my entire twenties on someone who doesn't appreciate me now. He still doesn't respect me as a stay at home mom and I don't think he ever will. I have no friends. My family is untrustworthy and nonexistent and I feel so alone. Sometimes we have good days, sometimes we don't. I don't know what to do anymore. I want to cry myself to sleep all the time. He thinks the money is "his" because he's the one who goes to work. But then again I don't expect anything else, he wasn't even there when our daughter was dying until the very end. Someone please give me advice other than leave him. Right now I am alone...borderline crying on the couch all by myself. My husband is gone every day 90% of the time, either at work or "in school" just sitting there getting his free money not even trying to get good grades. I don't think I am being over dramatic by wanting to have more...I just want advice on how to stay positive. every day **every other day |
