I was new in town (just visiting) and I didn't know the dress code or anything. So I walk into this mini mall just wearing my uniform (I didn't want to appear weak). So I go into this mini mall and it's full of Chinese people. They are staring at me like "what's this cracker doing here". I didn't want to offend or look weak so I just proceed in to the pizza store and the girl at the counter proceeds to open the safe and count all the money out, then she tries to give me a stack and I'm like, "na, I'm good." Then the manager comps my meal. So I go next door to the Boost Mobile to get a new phone and the Chinese girl proceeds to comp me a free phone. She calls her mom in (the owner) and they frantically begin cleaning the place up and the daughters (and the mom) are trying to seduce me. I got my chicken wings, my phone and got up out of there. They would leave work together while I was left to finish some in-house projects. They also would take time off from work together and explain it as coincidence. I was one person left to do the work of three. I played dumb about it. He would not talk to me about things and there was this odd sense of secretiveness in the air. She would awkwardly overcompensate by being overly friendly. By this time I have confronted them about it all. I asked them to be open with me and things would be fine. It didn't last long. They announced their relationship and everyone is pretty supportive. Don't get me wrong, I love that they are together. I don't want to break them up, its just I don't know who to trust anymore. Our full timer has been on leave for a while but since he's come back, my hours were around 16-19 hrs a week. Which I can live enough on and is fine for now. This is a small store no need for excessive amounts of employees. We have maybe 24 people all together, but 5 in my department. I love working here. However, my coworker that is a best friend, her name is Dasia, her hours also got cut so she asked our boss about a raise and more hours. He said no on the raise, which didn't surprise me, but when he started talking about hours he was dragging me into the conversation and I wasn't even there. But then continued to tell her that he doesn't like it when we work together. So he schedules us around each other and told her that if she wanted more hours he could cut mine even more. So my boyfriend sent me a picture of the schedule for next week and I was scheduled for 9 hours and Dasia has 21. I feel like this is immature and unnecessary. Posted: 28 Feb 2020 04:52 PM PST Hate this question, so much, because it's like she knows I'm not doing anything when she asks, probably due to the fact that when I am doing things, I'm talking to her about it, and I'm getting annoyed at constantly answering "nothing". Lately I've just been ignoring the question altogether, but then that creates a deadend to the conversation because there's an unanswered question I'll not be answering if I bring something else up.. which then turns into "why are you ignoring me", and I'm not a very creative person, my response is just "I'm not" or "no reason" or some other lame response.. So how do you about saying "nothing", and don't tell me to go out and do something, there's nothing I care to do. So how do you avoid* saying "nothing" |

I feel like it's because she's dating a new guy. It started off with salads, but now she's hardly eating anything. It's always very small portions, and she'll call an apple lunch. Now, she doesn't eat dinner past a certain time. 6:00PM is the latest. She's an adult, and I know she can do what she wants. But, as her daughter, I'm worried about her, and I want to make sure that she's healthy without denying her body what it needs. She's so tired working all the time. I don't want to see her passing out one day because she's not eating enough. I'd love some advice on how to deal with this, or whether I should deal with it at all. I don't really know where else to turn to. |

We hang out in a group of friends, mainly his friends. He bought me food and is generally nice to me. But there is a few times he has made me question his personality. He's sent me some texts that made me feel uneasy, such as "where are you" and checks up on me if im at a party. Also, when i was studying with him and his friends, when he left to use the bathroom, his friend was talking to me. When he saw his friend talking to me, he quickly interrupted the conversation and told me "you should keep studying". Another time i laughed at his friends joke and he said "why did you laugh at that". He also criticizes his friends in front of me and puts them down, it makes me feel really uneasy when he puts his friends down like its no big deal. A lot of his sentences start with "you should". The biggest thing that made me alarmed was he almost got into a fight with another guy. Afterwards he was telling me how that guy should be scared because he just made an enemy. When i expressed how i got scared, he was apologizing and saying im really sorry. Other than that, he is very generous towards me and always offers to buy me food and shares his things with me. Should i be careful or just stop talking to this guy ? My gut has felt uneasy several times around him. Btw we are in college, im 22 and hes 24 |
