Posted: 18 Feb 2020 01:05 PM PST Her number one argument is that her mother committed covert incest with her daughter who is my other aunt. Her next argument is that her sisters husband needs to grow balls because a man should not back his wife over his adult child. The other aunt and her son are in a fight and the husband backs the aunt who is his wife. Her next argument is that the devil manifest and families where her sister being emotionally abusive to some people is the devil's way of latching into the family and spreading his hate. Her next argument is that she needs to divorce her self from her sister's husband which made no sense since they're not married. Lastly she told me that the husband of this other sister of hers pleasing his wife to keep the peace as a form of masturbation. So in her good wishes for a family event it was that her brother-in-law would not masturbate. To me this sounded really perverted and creepy so I'm wondering if it makes sense. Please advise if the arguments make sense. This aunt used to be really close but I avoid her now because of her bitterness. It started when she spoke up for her nephew whose mother is mistreating him in her view. The two women at odds are two aunts of mine. Apologies on any grammar errors as I'm talking into my cell phone. |
Posted: 18 Feb 2020 01:01 PM PST My dad hates that i skateboard and any time anything remotely bad happens while skateboarding or has anything to do with skateboarding, it's skateboarding's fault. He hates that i travel and go on weekend trips to skate. This past weekend i went to visit some friends and skate and when i woke up sunday i was sick with a very bad cold or flu. I had a job interview monday that i had to cancel and my dad was very mad. He said if i wouldnt have gone on the trip i wouldnt have gotten sick. I always thought it takes a few days for the sickness to kick in, meaning that even if it WAS the weekend trip that got me sick, i wouldnt have gotten the symptoms for a couple more days. Is there any truth to this? |
Posted: 18 Feb 2020 01:00 PM PST Someone indicated to him recently that I needed him and my mother to show more empathy however since my father lies so much I'm wondering if empathy would just be a lie on his part. |
Question: How do I explain sex to my six-year-old son? Posted: 18 Feb 2020 12:59 PM PST My ex-husband goes around with women so I don't want him to be explaining it. |

Question: How do I get my parents to stop enabling my sister? Posted: 18 Feb 2020 12:45 PM PST My sister is cruel and has narcissistic tendencies. Our parents enable it especially my mom. They have made her the monster she is. How do I get them to stop? |

Question: Did I do the right thing? Posted: 18 Feb 2020 12:15 PM PST A party was held at our house that consisted of our extended family over the weekend. I've been sitting on one end of the couch while my sister ate her dinner on the opposite end; I forget who was sitting between us. My sister got up to put her plate & utensils in the sink. When my sister was like 5 feet away from her spot, one of our cousins quickly hopped in her seat. When our cousin realized she sat in my sister's seat, she offered to get up and sit somewhere else. Although all the furniture was filled, I told my cousin to say in that seat. When my sister was like, "She offered to get up," I told her to find another place to sit. Everyone at the party needed to be seated in the living room in order to play the game together after dinner. I didn't say this out loud but I had my cousin not give my sister her seat back because our cousin was company. |
Question: How can I make my mind up about kids? Posted: 18 Feb 2020 12:13 PM PST I am a woman. I've been unsure of wanting kids my entire life. I'm 24 now and looking to find someone to marry. The subject of kids would be an important decision to make up my mind about before I find a mate. I don't have that innate maternal instinct or desire like the rest of my friends. I'm actually extremely awkward with kids. I like the idea of having children, but when push comes to shove (pun intended) I'm not sure if I have what it takes. Kids are super expensive and emotionally draining. I've noticed what fluctuates my desires. When I get emotional I tend to want children, but when I think logically I want nothing to do with them. How can I firmly make up my mind about this? No I don't have the time to decide. I need to decide this before I start seriously courting, which I wish to do in the very near future. |

Posted: 18 Feb 2020 09:42 AM PST Anyone else think she lies when she claims she fills out applications? Because it doesn't take someone 7 months to get a basic job. She can work at McDonald's for all I care as long as she is making something. She can't even afford to pitch in for food. She is flat broke which is unacceptable for a 36 year old woman. I pull the load in paying for everything and I mean everything since she can't afford a single bill. Recently she just came down with something she believes to be the flu she's been coughing her lungs out, she's nauseous every 30 minutes, she has hardly been eating, she said her back hurts.she said her head feels like it's going to explode. Now I feel bad that she is so sick but I'm also kind of angry because I now have to pay even more money for her to go to the doctor. I'm not a millionaire I'm just a simple guy who makes about 60K A YEAR. WHICH ISNT A LOT.i have to pay "200 for her to go to the doctor. We have been avoiding doctors and hospitals for years because I don't like the idea of paying someone for something I can probably do at home.all they do is tell you to drink more water and you are left with a huge bill But she acts like she's dying so I'm forced to pay. I told her listen as soon as you get a job you're going to have to pay me back. I have too much on me financially I can't afford all this. This is stressful for me. And she said I'm stressed too it's hard for me to find a job on top of feeling like a Trainwreck please don't talk to me about this now |
Question: Would you still give him custody if he assaulted you while pregnant? ? Posted: 18 Feb 2020 09:40 AM PST Long story short my ex STARTED assaulting me the very day we found out I was pregnant. Literally the day we found out he was super sweet, he took me hiking, we had lots of fun. we were at a party later that night, he got drunk and was saying how he's so lucky to have me.. then we got home and he slapped me so hard because I made him leave the party early. I had a headache for days and eventually threw up because of how intense my headache was. After that day I thought he was just drunk maybe he didn't mean it.. weeks go by and then again he hit me. He'd always apologize and buy me things. After months go by and he still continued to assault me, this time it got worse. He'd hit me so hard I would bleed. Anyway I collected evidence for two months.. he's now in jail. Lots of moms tell me I should give him custody because he is the dad and he only hurt me not the baby (he has two other kids he's a great father to) But he clearly didn't care about our unborn son when he punched me in the back and threw me on the ground several times. The day after he was arrested he contacted his ex and told her he's happy that my son and I won't be around anymore, and even tried inviting her over to sleep with him. He texted his ex wife the same thing. Now he's trying to play the victim card and messaging me from unknown numbers asking about his son. I first intention is to not give him custody whatsoever and when my son is born to disappear |
Question: How can I learn to live with someone I hate? Posted: 18 Feb 2020 09:39 AM PST I live with my grandmother and I've been living with her for a year, and for a while it was okay and it was fun. But now that m gotten to know her better, I think I hate her. She s so rude and judges everyone but herself. I mean I love her because shes my grandma, but I can t stand a moment with her. She just triggers me.What can I do? I am 16 years btw |
Question: How would you feel...? Posted: 18 Feb 2020 06:33 AM PST I did an ancestry search and found out my dad is not my biological dad, but a sperm donor. My mom won't admit to it and my dad that raised me passed away ten years ago without saying anything to me about it. I was raised as an only child and just learned at age 40 that I have over 12 half brothers/sisters. Just learned this less than a week ago. Was curious how others might feel about this sort of thing. |
Question: What are tips not to go crazy living with as a hoarder? Posted: 18 Feb 2020 02:33 AM PST I work daily trying to clean out this house. The kitchen is the worst now. Full of bugs, and enough old cups and dishware for ten families. It's all cluttered though with stuff from the house too. Discusting counters. Trash gets over piled. Dishes pile up with tiny roaches on them. Boxes of stuff located to 1 room no one uses. It's not even worth the effort trying to sell anything. I get sick of looking around at mess. Most of this junk is not mine and is my fiance's from decades ago and her former family. Even passed on by many relatives. We've been cleaning the house out for several years. It was that bad. Found some cool useful things, but I'm feeling unhappy as a person. I do most of the work and organizing. My fiance lived like this for many years. |
Posted: 18 Feb 2020 01:07 AM PST When a good man hasn't hit, or done nothing to a woman when she vents, screams and yells, cussing him out he walks out trill she's cooled down to talk normal |
Question: I feel like distancing myself from my fiance to focus on myself, is this good or bad? Posted: 18 Feb 2020 01:00 AM PST I feel like she wants to hang out on her terms, and gets very clingy sometimes and suffocates me, and or treats me like her enemy. I dont get time to myself anymore because she hasn't had a job in a while. Her messy room makes me feel bad about myself, so I stay in mine more. Shes not very motivating for me to do something with my life. When I met her, she was over weight, and keeps promising to lose weight. Lastly, she complains on fb anytime things go wrong and I feel like other people might think it's me making her feel not good enough, when I really think shes very insecure. Besides the emotional roller coaster, shes really high strung. Another thing is she keeps sneaking up on me a lot when im doing things. She also became a pothead. So I feel like distance keeps me sane. Is this good or bad? I tell her I love her, but I feel like I can only handle so much. I told her many times to clean her room and try to get her to stay fit. She expects me to love her as she is. |

Posted: 17 Feb 2020 09:26 PM PST He plays video games all day, and still thinks cartoons are awesome and collects pokemon cards. He's never had a girlfriend before and never had a job before and is supported by my parents at home and lives in the basement. |
Posted: 17 Feb 2020 07:43 PM PST We are supposed to hate her for our uncle and the family but I don't like hating and so I was nice to her and went up to her and said hi. It was after a parade I saw her with her kids, two of the three are cousins of mine. She left our uncle after 9 years of back and forth feuding. Now the family is hateful towards her for leaving our uncle. I am pretty neutral as it was a bad marriage and both are alcoholics. |
Posted: 17 Feb 2020 07:39 PM PST My father is much older (65) and gets very sleepy behind the wheel. My sister has some medical problems so he drives 45 minutes from home to see her and do favors for her 2 or 3 times a week. She is not appreciative and is hostile. She can be nice also, but cruel a lot of the time. What do I do about this? My sister is cruel and so does not want me around her or I would otherwise do some of the driving. The sister never grew up for some reason so I am "not cool" to her. It is my Dad doing the driving I am worrying about as he is not a good driver and gets tired behind the wheel. |
Question: I can’t remember my mom anymore? Posted: 17 Feb 2020 06:01 PM PST I'm 16 and lost my mom 3 years ago. I already can't remember what she looked like without looking at a picture. I can't remember her voice either. I have about 15 memories of us together. I feel really guilty about it, and I really want to remember her. I want to know if I turned out to be like her or if she'd be proud of who I did turn out to be. I just don't know. Am I a bad daughter? How can I start to remember her? If there isn't a way, does that mean soon I won't remember a thing about her? |

Question: I’m near my estranged sisters house should I call her? Posted: 17 Feb 2020 03:30 PM PST Never mind, my mom told me not to call her so I didn't. We all know how bad the sister is. I can't delete the question now because there of been answers |
Question: Tips on building relationships with huge sibling age gap?? Posted: 17 Feb 2020 03:15 PM PST I am 18, with two step-siblings ages 20 and almost 17. I also have two siblings ages 15 and 13. My dad and step-mom just found out that they are having another baby (and yes it was planned), and so I'm going to have a half-sibling this fall. I'm super excited about this because I've always wanted a baby sibling (I was 5 the last time I had one). My main concern is figuring out how to still have a relationship with him/her since my siblings and I are all so much older. I don't currently live in the same state, but I will most likely be heading to college near where they live around August. I already know one family who has a 14 year gap between sets of kids and they are still close, and the older kids' children get along well with the "babies" since they are nearly the same age, almost like cousins. Anyone have a similar relationship that they can offer advice and tips from? |
Question: Am I wrong for not wanting to get back in touch with my abusive and neglectful family? Posted: 17 Feb 2020 03:13 PM PST My mother and her side of the family were never in my life (even as a child) mostly due to custody arrangement with my father having full custody. As an adult, my mother and her side of the family have proven to be quite abusive towards me, so I pulled away but still maintained holiday and birthday contact mostly. About 11 years ago, I moved to the other side of the country. I would always be the one to make a holiday or birthday phone call to my mother and send gifts also to my mother and grandmother. My mother never calls me, and I don't think my grandmother ever called me my entire life. Several years ago, I became quite ill, and they didn't reach out even then (and they knew how ill I was). about 15 months ago, I called CPS on my sister and her ex husband for using drugs and physical abuse related to their kids. I called my mother concerning this, and she yelled at me and said that I can come over and take care of the kids then (since I called CPS on them). At this same time, we got into a shouting match about her never calling me and grandmother never calling me even when I was sick. Her response was that she just isn't a phone person but I reminded her that she doesn't text or message me either. She said grandma's excuse was that she never had my phone number (which isn't even true). (more below) This past Christmas, my grandmother sent me a message on fb saying she loved me (for the first time ever) but I know this was just because of the fight I had with mother. I didn't respond to her message, and I have no interest in doing so. Am I wrong for feeling this way and now completely cutting them all off? |
Question: Why do people still get married? Posted: 17 Feb 2020 02:49 PM PST - Discussions for no reason - Children not letting sleep - Stress from working and not being valued - Having a house of your own is priceless. - Besides that a prostitute came out cheaper. |
Question: Should I mind my own business ? Posted: 17 Feb 2020 02:40 PM PST My daughter turns 30 this year. I was at her house with the whole family. I overheard her and her sisters talking about how she's "talking to a boy that's 20". All I heard was he's younger than her little sister and he's "fine". My daughter's divorced. I don't think it's serious but do I just ignore it? |
