I'm 18, my older brothers 28 and I've always admired him because I didn't have a father growing up. Him being the oldest it was always my mom and big brother taking me places, watching over me etc. we are 8 years apart so we aren't the closest, but as I'm getting older all he ever wants to do is be around his fiancée. He's ALWAYS with her, always has to be with her wherever we go, always buys her stuff etc. I get that's his girlfriend but in my 18 years of living my brothers never done anything that nice for me and I'm his only baby sister. I know his fiancée loves having him all to herself and how he's barely is around my mom and I anymore.  I texted his fiancée the other day (she's 26) telling her I don't like the fact she's hogging my brother and she's not gonna take away my blood. She didn't like that very well and my brother and I argued to the point it's all about her and her needs. Is this normal? 

Luckily she has Crohn's disease so probably cannot come. If she does though how do I act since she is cruel and I'm estranged from her.

If she brought him for the holidays. Would you feel offended if he rented a hotel room instead?

i've tried listening to it and it has no good tune and just sounds terrible and most of the time the rappers are always black violent tattood emo criminals, it's complete trash, so how do people even like it?

When I was a kid he will first be verbally abusive and then physically when I didn't cooperate with his one hour lecture. It was small things, like if I didn't put my shoes against the wall, or don't bring the right tools. I'm a adult now, but he still yells every now and then. And he doesn't do **** to his kids. He gives them freedom, and is very lenient on them. But to me, my brother and sister he uses us very so much. Even my dad died from dementia and he tells people he helps us but doesn't do ****. I can't take his **** no more, I been aggressive towards him so many times but it doesn't work. 

I was getting the mail at my house and there's was this package. I didn't know what it was and I didn't look at the label so I open it impulsively. And when I opened it there was a dildo inside! I immediately knew it was my older's sisters. Who is 27 years old. 5 years older than me. I started to have a panic attack. I didn't want to tell my sister because she would yell at me for looking at her stuff. I also didn't want to have that awkward moment with her. I couldn't just put it back because my sister would know I opened it because I've opened her stuff that she's gotten in the mail before. She wouldn't believe that it came like that. So my brain came up with the plan to throw it away the package so my sister would think it got lost in the mail. I didn't want to throw in away at my house so I went to the dumpster near my house. The dumpster is behind a church. So I ran to the dumpster and the top of the dumpster was open so I tried to toss it in but i missed! the package hit the wall of the church. I thought I heard some voices and I didn't want anybody to ask me what I was doing and to investigate so I just ran home. So basically I threw a dildo at a church. My mind is coming up with all these scenarios that's going to happen. I have really bad anxiety. I'm scared someone who works at the church is gonna find the package and there gonna look at the cameras and see that I threw and I'm gonna go to get arrested. I can't eat or sleep. Should I be worried?

I could understand if they raised you and was there for you all throughout your life it would make sense for them to be called your father or mother but if you haven't had any history with them and you were not raised by them then what's the point of calling them your father or mother.

We're both adults

To me that puts a burden on them because I know since they already raised their adult children they do not want to go through the same process again.

My mom and I went out of town to Belize to visit my childhood friend. My cousin asked to come. I said sure. She works etc. Bought her own ticket and arrived b4 us. Soon as we make it thru customs we see her n she says "my credit card didn't work n the atm wouldn't accept....mind you we're in another country....she never got $ out before she came so we had to pay for everything. She ate every hour. We had to take taxis and busses everywhere. Ate out at restaurants. We paid for everything. Now we're home and it day 3! She didn't spend a dime so why am I waiting on our money. I would've sent it the next day if it was me. Yes she said she was paying us back so what's the hold up? I'm extremely angry bc who TF leaves the country without cash...I want to text her it's been 3 days when are u paying us for your free vacation? 😡 

I was in history class and mr mcguire was teaching and suddenly in front of the class he walked up to me and leaned over and burped really loud long and nasty in my face and then started laughing. it smelled horrible and he said he was just sharing his lunch and half the class left then he resumed teaching, is there anything i can do i'm uncomfortable in that class now i'm 17 years old btw 

I was scrolling through some amateur stuff today and found a pretty old video and actually recognized my mom but she was like atleast 15 years younger. I am 18 and I doubt that I was very old or even born at that point. She is 36 and I understand that just because she is a mom doesn't mean that she can't have fun but that **** was weird. I was horrified and cracked up at the same time and decided to show the video to my mom to hold her accountable for her actions. She didn't take it well and told me that I'm disgusting for watching that stuff and showing porn of a random girl to her. She didn't let up at all and I couldn't get her to admit the truth so I just left. A few hours after my dad who was 42 came home he was furious and grounded me for ******* 2 weeks and made me do way more chores. Was it really that bad to show the truth? It was just one amateur video and I don't think it was my dad but you never know.

I dont want to call her mom or anything like that because I fear my actual mother will think she is being replaced, plus I'd feel weird calling the mother of my husband mom... I also dont just want to refer to her as inlaw as it seems too bland, but only using her name seems really disrespectful, I dont know what to do... Please help😓

My father even told me once "people may say I am arrogant but the truth is you have to be that way sometimes". He also frequently misleads people (I consider that lying).

She's all over every post of mine on facebook. 24/7. Takes away my every when I'm on a roll doing something. She keeps bringing up my abusive parent, like I vsnt survive without her. We live in a hoarding mess and shes not attractive to me anymore. She keeps getting so fat and old looking. Idk if Im.just seeing her different? She gets very jealous when I am on facebook. Very jealous. Always smothers me too like a candy or boy toy. Im.starting to outgrow thee pleasures of being spoiled. Like as a man I need more than to feel like a prisoner in our home. 

We live in the country, people here are all into clicks, I dont fit in, and shes alwaysxmaking fun of me because I'm glued to my phone on social media, yet she's always on her phone on facebook too. I feel like I'm her amusement sometimes and a little bug in a jar. I'm beingvextrene right now, but I have no friends anymore, theres no place to go and hang out except bars, which I cant afford, or like anymore. But she just acts like it's ok now to have me all to herself. She gets super mad if I stay out late with coworkers too just assuming I will cheat. I'm miserable here, very poor, and I dont even go to a gym anymore. Im.not doi g a yhing with my life really. The jobs here pay very little. We talk of moving, but Shes not really eager to get a job anymore or lose weight  She got me to turn against all of my girlfriends too in the past. People think I'm a loser now and dont bother with me. I know I'm being g negative, but it makes me mad she gets so jealous if I'm on my phone. Shes twice my age yet acts so immature.

That's almost all they talk about. Is anyone else's family like this? Not only do they talk about the past all day, they talk about the same things. I really wish they would shut up. 

I don't want to miss out on being close to the rest of the family but my father is hurtful and my sister is just an all around bad seed.

My father gave me my birth certificate when I was 12 years old, and I haven't seen it in a while. I tried ordering one through the vital records department in NJ and it was denied. I called in and asked why it was denied and the lady told me that I filled in my fathers name wrong. This was a surprise to me. I knew of three other last names my father used so I gave these to her over the phone and she still said it is wrong. She told me to get in contact with my birth mother so she could give me his real name but my birth mother and I are estranged. We don't speak at all since we had a falling out. My father says the name that I know him by is the name on the birth certificate but he won't show me his.... obviously someone is hiding something and I feel so helpless. Is this a dead end? Will I never be able to obtain my birth certificate without my parents help? I forgot to note that I did end up reaching out to my birth mother but she refused to help me obtain my birth certificate.

I was seeing my favorite band and brought two friends and the tickets were in my parents names because we didn't know they had to match with the people who were going and the admission women said we can't come in without my parents being there to prove they're our tickets and i told her they're all the way back home hours away and we got in an argument and the women got so mad she hit my face hard, then she immediately apologized and said she didn't mean to and just got really mad, then she sent us out

Have you ever had to avoid them constantly or ignore their bad moods and behavior?

Aren't they supposed to try to get along with everyone else while they are having a crappy romantic life?

It's like I'm not even there. She doesn't offer me food, to watch TV or a movie with her, she just flat out ignores me, I starve sometimes, because she feeds almost all the food to her guests and doesn't offer me anything. When I get food delivered, she gets mad, saying there's food there, or I should have asked her if she wanted anything. I'm not crazy about her friends because they're loud, smoke weed, get drunk, eat too much, curse and leave messes. They also watch dumb adult cartoons. I am on the autistic spectrum and don't care for socializing much, except with a few people. I've tried introducing myself, but it's like my sister doesn't want me to get to know any of them. She says for me to go back to what I was doing and leave them alone. I have no friends of my own and am single. But I feel like if I were murdering my cat, she'd never know, until it's too late. I am fed up and my mom just says to join in but I tell her my sister doesn't want me to. Even when I say nothing. She just doesn't want me around. I am upset and angry and don't know what to do because talking her just makes her blow up. Help!

I'm 20 yrs old and I have been putting up with my moms lazy and obnoxious boyfriend for the last 5 and a half years. My mom is absolutely awesome though she does my laundry and cooks for me/us. She does spoil me bc she wants me to have more time to do my college homework. But still, her bf I can't stand! I have a little over $2k in my bank account but I am currently unemployed. I do plan on getting a job here soon. Would it be best if I a. leave asap and move to my dads who will not be helping me with any laundry or cooking b. Keep putting up with my moms bf, get a job and save for 6 months and THEN get my own place..?

When it comes to brothers and sisters, it's important for them to communicate and remain close even as they age and start families of their own. But then some people are uncomfortable with showing affection towards their sibling. So how close is "too close"?
