Question: Is it normal to feel like this? Posted: 21 Feb 2020 04:31 PM PST So my brother was one of the most meaningful people in my life growing up. He's 11 years older than me and after joining the navy when I was 13, I was devastated. He started by calling us almost every weekend, and now five years later never calls. He now lives in an entirely different state and he is getting ready to become a dad to a little girl. I can't help but not want this new baby though. I feel as though now with her around, I will be forgotten by my once best friend. Before the baby he always was "busy" so he stopped calling. Now I feel as though he won't even acknowledge that I even exist anymore. Is it normal to feel this way? It's even making me start to resent my brother. I don't want much to do with him. I know I should be happy but I can't help but feel hes just one step closer to finally leaving me behind. |
Question: My two best friends won't talk to me!? Posted: 21 Feb 2020 04:13 PM PST I'm a 14 year old girl and a freshman in high school. I'm best friends with a couple of other girls in my class. The three of us are inseparable and get along really well. The thing is, I have to give them money in order for them to talk to me and be my friend. It's their "rule". If I don't give them my lunch money or something, they won't talk to me or hang out with me at all, and they'll even threaten to hurt me if I try to talk to them without paying them. At the beginning of the school year, one of them kicked me, which hurt for days, because I didn't pay them but tried to talk to them. I can't help it! My mom packs my lunches some days, so I have no money to give them. I really miss them when they won't talk to me! I give them my lunch money as much as I can. If you're wondering, I don't starve or anything. I usually eat something when I get home because I usually have no money for lunch because of these friends I have. Anyways, I overslept this morning, so I didn't have time to have breakfast. I was starving during the school day, so I HAD to buy myself lunch. I couldn't give my lunch money to my friends. I told my friends my situation, and they just said "You know the rule! Pay up or you can't hang out with us. Now get lost!". Please help me guys! These two girls are my only friends at school! I have no other friends I can hang out with! How can I get them to talk to me again? I feel really lonely right now because of this! One more thing. Whenever i'm upset, they won't comfort me unless I pay them. |

Question: Friend not speaking to me, what should I do? Posted: 21 Feb 2020 01:11 PM PST Alright to give some background to the story, FRIEND A and I are very close but have not seen each other recently due to school schedules . Last Monday she offered to take me out on the town but I wasn't able to go immediately due to a previous arrangement. Later that day she hadn't brought up the offer so I didn't mention it either. That night the group of friends that I and FRIEND A share invited me out on a drive the car was full and as FRIEND A lives far out and we didn't plan to be out long, she wasn't invited. Ever since FRIEND A found out about this she has made an active effort to ignore and speak badly of me to other people. Is she being dramatic or am I being unsympathetic? I knew she sensitive prior to this but had never been on the receiving end of her pettiness. What should I do? |

Question: What should I do if somebody tell me go away at nightclub or a bar for no reason? Posted: 21 Feb 2020 12:06 PM PST If it's bouncers or one of staff at bar then yes has to listen because it's their property not mine. I am talking about when you bumped into someone who just another customer who stop by bar. Let say there is empty seat and you want to take a rest so you go there to sit on. Somebody next to this chair telling you go away. Now should I listen or not listen? They are not the boss. Or maybe you gonna suggest better listen anyway even if I legally don't have to. However I do need some place to sit soon or later and I do want to enjoy my drink and listen to music. |
Posted: 21 Feb 2020 10:19 AM PST "Hey, you forgot your scarf at my house, so I wore it to school. But my boyfriend is allergic to perfumes and got annoyed that the scarf was smelly :( ". ... so if a person is using someone's else belonging is the owners fault? I mean, I didn't understand why this person (who was my friend) acted like it was my fault, when she is decided to use it because I forgot it in her house. Isn't that a bit rude? |
Question: Hoe do I deal with Office Politics like this? Posted: 21 Feb 2020 09:12 AM PST -I work with these two guys. One is very lazy, insulting, dramatic and argumentative. The other is a compulsive gossip. He's ALWAYS gossiping. Anyways, last week they were picking on a female coworker and they made her cry and they were laughing about it. All day at work they send annoying emails and barely do any work. The mean guy is always in a negative attitude, like he hates his job and he hates everyone around him. They are both selfish, lazy and annoying. On my weekends outside of work I can't get a minute to myself without annoying text messages in my personal life and at work it's hard to concentrate because they are always sending me stupid, annoying and oftentimes crude emails. Finally after they picked on the new girl (like they picked on me when I was new), I reported them to our manager because I want it to stop. And now I'm seen as the office snitch, etc. Was I wrong to do this? Oh, and the gossip guy ALWAYS gossips about his lazy friend. Like, these guys hang out and then he's always insulting his friend behind his back. Was informing the manager of all of this the right thing to do? |

Question: Is my friend a bit too arrogant? Posted: 20 Feb 2020 09:57 PM PST My best friend, Maia, is always bragging about how good she is and expects me to be happy when she achieves something. She's in 6th grade, passed ABRSM grade 8 piano at 10 and is doing DipAbrsm now. Apparently, maia's also perfect pitch. She won the national champion for y12 and fifth for y14 fencing. She said that her lexile is like college sophomore level and she's also a really good debater, but I think she's a little too arrogant to keep on bringing those things up...? |

Question: How to avoid and deal with fake people? Posted: 20 Feb 2020 07:44 PM PST I have been having recent problems with people that I have been building general relationships with and they seem very nice to me when I first meet them and I learn later on that they do not choose to want anything to do with me or they say rude things about me behind my back or whenever I do something wrong they immediately report me to their boss at their work whenever I shop there when all I do is talk to them I never have done anything out of line to them, but this sort of thing has been happening recently and they act so sweetly to me but I learn that they are two faced and fake as if they are annoyed by me where I live people don't talk about the elephant in the room right away. They do it at the "last straw" as a warning like "this has happened too many times and we are telling you now" when they should have to begin with. I am getting far too frustrated with this behavior from other people who pretend to like me sometimes I feel like it is my fault. How can I deal with those certain people or those types of fake people? |

Question: Did my friend Tara treat like I was her little brother? Posted: 20 Feb 2020 06:01 PM PST I'm a guy and I'm 28 and my old friend Tara is 28. I have a learning disability. From 2013-2017 we were friends. She was very protective of me and we also lived in separate states and that made her extra protective of me and she worried about me a lot. She called me honey and dear and darling , she said that she loved me very much and I was very special to her and she was always looking out for me. She treated me like a little brother even though we're the same age. Did Tara treat me like a little brother |
