I haven't gotten out of the bed since her funeral on the 29th. She was 22 and I feel I failed her. She had mental illness that is passed down in my family and that I have some of.

My mother is always giving me secrets over the years, yet she says I'm a gossip. I never share what she says except to my shrink. Sometimes I may give too much detail about things like people's travel plans or where my parents move to. Nothing scandalous.

Door is locked and he can not get it open so he knocks. I have a no knocking sign and a no soliciting sign. No one answers the door. The strnager looks around at the windows and closely leaves my prorperty. Does that sound suspisious to you? The whole point of having a security door in a bad neighborhood is to keep it locked. It is cold and winter so why would I leave it unlocked. Why knock where there are signs that say DO NOT KNOCK. The signs are easily visible and plain to see. Just seems suspsious to me.

For most of my life I haven't wanted kids. Not for any particular reason. I'm just content without them and don't feel the need to procreate. It's never really been an issue for me as I've never been in a situation where I really needed to make up my mind. I'm 33 now and things are coming to a head. My girlfriend of 5 years had decided that she wants/needs to have kids. Obviously, I'm not sure that I want to. So now I'm at the point where I may have to end my relationship with someone I love, who I thought I was going to spend the rest of my life with, over kids and it's killing me. Has anyone else been in this situation? Any advice?

If we're at a party she's grabbing my leg the whole time advise me to stop though she does it gently. My father always tells me after I'm fine and that she is the problem not me. She never does this to my siblings. I'm 29 so not a little kid and how do I get her to stop feeling so much anxiety in public with me? She's fine when we're alone and never does any of this. As a kid she used to have fights with family members over me and as a result I feel guilty for the conflicts and estrangement.

Hello I currently live my grandmother and yesterday I was looking in her bedroom looking for an extra blanket when I found a sex toy. I believe that I have a narcissistic mother. It's so many things she's done like for example, She smashed my phone on the ground causing the screen to shatter and said that I made her do it (blamed me). She literally finds a way somehow to make things that go on in our household, MY fault. Just right now, she claimed about my younger brother's having an addiction to playing Roblox. She said she wanted the codes changed, so I changed it for her and also added a password to both of their laptops so that they will have to ask me for it just to go on there... She wants me to (as she says) "get on the kids and make them listen" which I do by telling them to stop running around the house and like the usual, I get told, "Stop trying to be their mother". How am i trying to be there mother when i'm doing what you specifically told me to do? There's never any right thing I'm doing when it comes to her. She slapped me so hard once that my ear started bleeding.. I still forgave her though. I'm not the type to hold grudges, I always seem to forgive. I'm tired of all of this though. I was getting the mail at my house and there's was this package. I didn't know what it was and I didn't look at the label so I open it impulsively. And when I opened it there was a dildo inside! Ok I found my sisters tumblr and it shocked me. She's 22. This is my older sister that I love, Brittany. We used to watch spongebob together when we were 10. I was put into foster care roughly 5 years ago. After my parents and I were separated I fell into depression and tried twice to end my life. After getting discharged I got adopted by my foster parents at the age of 13. It wasn't long before I fell out of contact with my biological mom and dad. I turned 18 three weeks ago, so I decided to give them a call. While we were talking I panicked, so I lied and told them I had a doctor's appointment I needed to get to so we hung up. Now my parents offered to take me to get dinner, and I'm stressed out about it. What do I do? What do I say? Should I be formal or casual? Should I dress up or wear what I normally would? Should I bring up my questions on the past, focus on the present, or talk about my future? I honestly have no clue and I'm freaking out. When I said discharged I meant to say discharged from psychiatric residential.

I have a male cousin that looks a lot like me. He and his wife have been trying to have a baby for 5 years. They have spent thousands of dollars on medical bills but no solution has been found. My cousin has a very low sperm count. The doctors told him he has a 1 in 100 chance of getting someone pregnant. Both him and his wife are from large families. They VERY much want a baby and have said they will do whatever it takes to have one. My cousin asked me to be a sperm donor. They don't want to spend any more money on medical bills or attorney fees because after thousands of dollars already spent, she is still not pregnant. They want to save that money for their baby. What they want is for his wife to time her cycle and for me to come over every day for a week and give her my sperm. They said that if I don't tell anyone only the 3 of us will know as they will never tell anyone. My cousin will also deposit his sperm in her so without a DNA test, nobody will know who the father of the baby is. His wife is for ANY idea that will make her pregnant and wants me to do this. Could doing this cause me a lot of problems in the future? How can I protect myself from future problems if I agree to do this? I like to help people out but is this asking too much of me.

I'm 31 years old and i am a failure. I work as a substitute teacher and at a grocery store. I make 9 per hour at the grocery store and 80 per day substitute teaching. I live in a resort town everything is seasonal there is absolutely NO work in my field what so ever. I want to leave but I'm living rent free at my parents beach house. (I pay their mortgage.)  For my Masters Degree i was accepted to a school with a full ride but my father talked me out of it because it was in Arkansas and he believed it was all hillbillies. Instead, I went to the only college where I live and racked up 50,000 in loans.  After finishing my Masters, I was offered 2 jobs out in Oklahoma i ended up turning both down because my parents talked me out of it. They said it was too far away, they said they were worried about tornadoes,  Then I was offered a job 4 hours away. I turned it down because my parents talked me out of it told me it'd be too expensive to move.  Now, I've been offered another GOOD paying job out in Oklahoma. My parents are furious. They said they don't think I can handle it there.  They want me to continue looking locally and doing what I'm doing and that eventually something has to give. (There are NO jobs here I'm lucky to have what I have.)  I am BROKE. I've emptied my entire savings account to stay here. I can't afford to move without my parents help at all. They are STILL helping me pay bills even with 2 jobs.  Im a loser and a failure nobody believes in me at all.

Any reason why he does this? I've heard that it was thing in some families for the husband to eat first, then the children, then the mother. Is this true and if so, where did he get this? I didnt teach him this tradition. He's been doing this for the last 2 weeks every night at the dinner table. I am a hard working man who makes sure food is on the table. While im cleaning the dishes before eating he is waiting on me. His mother just eats. I tell him to eat, but he says we have to wait on daddy. 

I am having issues with my family right now. When I was in my 20s, I needed my family for support. I struggled with being in an abusive relationship that often caused me to be kicked out of our home or being fired from work. He was controlling and never paid rent. Sometimes I would ask my family for some cash. $20-100 dollars. My family always got mad at me. I was able to get away from my BF. In my 30's, I met a wonderful guy. I went to college. Learned to drive. Got a better paying job. I offered constantly to pay my way or to help anyone in my family with my own money. Now here I am @40 and that fantastic job that I had, closed last summer. My boyfriend asked me to move out. I'm struggling financially and about to be evicted. My family is upset with me because I asked for help again. They are trying to put in a special needs home. Even though I'm not like those people. My family said that I have brain damage and that I was tested at a Childrens learning center when I was 9. I called that Childrens learning center and they have no records of me ever attending. Now I feel like my family is trying to brainwash me or just trying to say whatever to make me think that I am dumb or something. Trying to get me committed without my consent. Hi,I am wondering what solution I should take as my brother been using his phone and his volume all maxed out not caring anything around him it been like this since my first semester in college and when he doesn't have class. I been telling my older brother if he can tell him to stop,but then he later goes back to that habbit is there a solution to deal with this problem because he does this from 8pm to 4am when he doesn't have school and it effecting my sleep schedule It also hurting my health as I cannot sleep at all as I am sound sensitive when trying to sleep.

My parents living with my 30 year old sister who is doing drugs.. She has a 2 year old that she can't take care of.. So my parents has custody... There's a possibility she might prostitute herself for drugs as she goes out in the middle of the night. She also might be schizo, bibolar... She's been to jail for a year for GTA, and she was prescribe bipolar and schizo pills.  She does nothing around the house but talk, yell curse at herself. She looked at herself in the mirror and pick her skin and have a full blown conversation to herself.. Her room is messy, like a meth/Crack head person.. She eats my mother food and give her an attitude when my mom plays with her grandchild, changing his diapers, bathing him.... She also use her son welfare money to buy drugs and cigarettes instead of using the money to buy food and diapers... She does not pay rent and got into my parents face and cursed them out..... She also started teaching her son how to stick a middle finger and use the F word.. Her baby daddy apparently is locked up in prison for life or nowhere to be found.. She also might be pregnant again. But this time my parents can't accept this grandchild because they don't know who she be sleeping with.. My dad kicked her out the house one time, but she said *this is my house... My room is upstairs. She told him to F-OFF and if he puts his hands on her, she will call the cops." She yell, scream like the exorcist, curses at night time and nobody can sleep for work in the morning. My parents are old, and they are scared don't know what to do.... She's a psychopath.... She went to jail for a year and it was so peaceful... She came back and making it miserable for everybody.. 

I am 19 years old and my ex friend is 23 years old. My ex friend became to Pushy and controlling. He was calling and texting me all the time. He was always wanting to know where I was at all times. He would get mad at me if I missed one of his calls or Reply back to one of his Text right after he sent him. He wanted me to spend all my time with him if I spent time with my family he would get mad at me. He was showing to my job. When he was around I started to feel like anaconda was squeezing me to death. Saturday he got argument because I told him that I was going to buy him  Anything for Valentine's Day. I told him that I our friendships was over and that I didn't want anything else to do with him. I changed my number and Deleted my Facebook page. Yesterday  he went to my dad and stepmom house and told them that I was sleeping with a bunch of random guys. He also told them that I  wasn't at work because he didn't see my car and that I was doing drugs and sleeping with Multiple guys at the same time. My dad told him that he knew was lying because my car is the shop and my stepmom had took me to work. My dad kicked out of the house.  My dad and stepmom picked me up at work now that want me to quit my job because they are afraid that he is gong to hurt me. I don't want to have to get A restraining order but don't think I have a choice. Why can't he just leave me alone? 

Would one go to see their grandchild in the hospital (I'm talking about toddler or older such as teen not when it's a baby that's less than 2 days old) because the child is sick, injured, in a coma, or having a major surgery, etc? My mom would visit her grandchild in the hospital because she cares about his welfare and to see if there are any changes to his health

I notice how common it is for sibling relationships to change. During childhood, the oldest kid typically doesn't want to play with the youngest (and vice versa). However a lot of them eventually grow closer as adults.

It started when I was about 11 when my mom found her prescription missing. She knew I didn't do it because I was scared of taking them, and she definitely knew she didn't swallow the entire bottle. When my mom addressed the issue he said he wouldn't do it anymore. That was a lie, because a year or two later I found more pills hidden in the bathroom drawer. He said he would change becausemy mom wanted a divorce. About a week ago, she found more!! We're so sick and tired of this ****. I just don't know what to do anymore.

My grandmother gave all of my siblings and my parents money for Christmas, but didn't get anything for me. My dad says he thinks she will give it to me later. Also, one of my siblings spends all of her money while I try to save mine. I recently got married, but I don't think that would have anything to do with it. Should I be upset about it?

My mother brainwashed us against her family and thus made us disloyal as kids but I have gotten hyper loyal as an adult to her family. Yet, I still feel I am 2nd rate. As a kid I believed my mother who was bitter and so was cold and distant from her family. As a teen I realized my mother was misleading us out of bitterness and got close. My mother has also softened. However, I feel guilt and like I am 2nd rate for the 7 or 8 years I was believing my mother and we'd miss things like Christmas'.

My parents took it for their observance in my lack of responsibility, and other day to day problems that they are looking for a change to. They're using my phone as a way of trying to do what they see will bring on their wanted change. The problem is that simple things set them to think any issues are from a bigger cause or coming from a bigger problem. As an example, seeing me not do my homework will make them think the distraction is coming from my phone, but i might just be putting it to the side to get another thing done or taking a break. How do i convince them that they can still see problems or big issues while still letting me have my phone, and that my phone doesn't correlate with anything i might do, and show them it's for the better for me to have it back.

When my father passed unexpectedly at 55 my mother saw it as an opportunity to spend with abandon. She bought a new car, went to lunch every day, got her hair done once a week, went on shopping trips to Dillards and Macys, bought all new furniture, and got a new cell phone and computer almost every year. I'm a single mom who's getting in a progressively more serious relationship. My boyfriend and I have been dating for about seven months. Our relationship is looking more and more that it'll be a very long term thing. I haven't introduced him to my daughter (who is 15) yet because I originally thought our relationship was just a fling and wouldn't last long. As it progressed I stopped thinking it was a fling, but I still wasn't sure it would last and didn't want to introduce him to my daughter unless I thought it would be a more long term thing. For the past little while I've actually realized I should probably introduce them, but I put it off because I'm very nervous about how my daughter's going to react as my boyfriend and I do have a significant age difference. I'm 41 and he's 25. I am honestly nervous she'll be super weirded out and/or think I'm having some kind of midlife crisis. I realize that the age difference is a bit different, but when I'm around him I don't feel it. He's very mature. He also is super sweet and loving. I want to be able to understand that (even though he is a younger guy) we actually are on the same wavelength and have a great relationship. I want her to know I'm not going through a midlife crisis, I'm not a sugar mama (he actually makes more money than I do), and know I'm in a loving, mature, committed relationship with a great guy. How can I tell my daughter so she understands this/doesn't think it's too weird?  A few more things 1. My daughter does know I've been seeing someone. She doesn't know about the age difference 2. Her father was physically and verbally abusive to both of us. Neither of us speaks to him anymore. Needless to say I'm not worried about her feeling bad about my boyfriend "replacing" her father. 3. Part of me feels I shouldn't care what she thinks, but it is kind of a big deal to me that my daughter is happy that I'm in a good relationship and doesn't think it's weird. 

My son's biological father walked out when I was pregnant and that's when I met my fiancée who has been involved since day one of my son's life. His biological father has seen him a total of 6 times in his life (not because I told him 'no,' but because he failed to reach out to be involved). His father's family has been involved even less for a total of 3 times in his life. Now that his biological father has a new baby, he all of the sudden wants to be back involved. It's almost as if him having a baby reminded that side of the "family" that they had another son/grandson. I now have a daughter with my fiancée and I have no idea how or if I should even allow the other side back into my son's life. The reason being that he believes my fiancée is his dad. I think he's too young to understand the concept of what has happened in the past and I also do not want him thinking he's not family because our daughter has both of us as parents when he only has one (I know, he's 4, but I also don't know how he'll take it, this is one of the worst case scenarios that plays in my head). Basically for the entirety of my son's life, he has had no idea that these people even exist. I have no idea how to explain it to him or if he's even mentally mature enough to understand. I also want to state that the other side has done absolutely nothing to provide for him (his biological father doesn't even pay the child support he owes). 

My husband has 5 sisters and they are such hard work.They seem to just talk about themselves when we are together and never bother to ask us stuff.One of them thinks she is the best out of all of them..names drops etc and puts us down slyly.They are all in competition with each other.I don't know what to do and they never call to see us.We have stopped calling to them aswell.We have a new baby in which they called to the house then but haven't been inside the door since.We will see them again for confirmations etc. Any advice greatly appreciated  Our baby is 8 months now and they have seen him three times
