Question: Why are people over 40 good at lying? Posted: 08 May 2019 02:34 PM PDT They are so believable. Why are young people so horrible at it?
Posted: 08 May 2019 01:50 PM PDT My mom is 44 I'm 16 I have 2 younger sisters 10-8. My last sister was unexpected, due to that my parents didn't sleep with each other for almost 4 yrs. My mom didn't want to go on birth control & was afraid of using just condom. There was a time where things became crazy I ran from home for a bit I don't know if during that time my dad got a vasectomy but he works doing floors picking up heavy stuff everyday, he's also into being natural so I don't think he did, my mom isn't on any form of birth control only condoms that aren't use all the time, she doesn't track her cycles & didn't get her tubs tied. Once few yrs ago I know my mom left the computer on female condom, now all I know is the condom box isn't always use, last time he bought the box was a year ago. Last time I look it was use but the time before it wasn't for awhile..I don't know now. My mom is in early menopause. The beginning she was getting scared even tho I told her what it could be so I ask her if she thinks shes pregnant she said "are you crazy". Now my uncle mess around with me saying my grandma did tarot cards it showed my mom is going to have another kid & I'll be stuck again. My mom saw my face she said "you believe him, how'll you be stuck? Why would I have a kid near 50". I said maybe it be surprise she said "stooop" she said she was told she had her last kid. She said maybe you. She kept asking to make sure it was maybe for the baby she miscarriage yrs ago. Btw my mom knows she can still get pregnant
Question: Is it okay to go through your teenagers diary? Posted: 08 May 2019 01:48 PM PDT Recently I went through my 15 yo daughters diary to find out that she is having a sex . Absoloutely outraged but I can't talk to her because it's in her diary. Is I think okay to go though her diary or is it an invasion of their privacy?
Posted: 08 May 2019 01:19 PM PDT multiple houses, make money all the time, have great lives. My parents are poor and pathetic, 1 council house, drive sh'itty cheap cars like a Corsa. My sister is poor, living in housing accommodation with 2 kids, I'm doing sh'it because of them and stress and will probably become homeless one day and never make good money because I have no qualifications due to mental health issues, no help and constant worrying because of family and money. I f'ucking hate them all.
Question: How to break autistic twin's dominance over his brother? Posted: 08 May 2019 01:04 PM PDT I am the parent of autistic twin young adult males. One twin's autism is less debilitating. He operates at an approximately 11-12 year old level. His twin's condition is more pronounced and coupled with mental disability. He operates at a 4-5 year old level. The more advanced twin is very argumentative, surly and defiant. He always goes contrary to family decisions about where to go and what things to do. When he exercises defiance, for instance, refusing to go to a movie or out to dinner, his twin joins him in solidarity, even though he really wants to go and becomes upset later. He refuses to do things his twin vetoes, even though he wants to. This also applies to household chores. If twin one refuses, twin two joins him. They are big, over 6 feet and 200 lbs. We cannot physically control them and they can get violent when they are upset. Twin 2 is on meds, but twin 1's doctor says he does not need them. How can we get twin 2 to show more independence and not always be controlled by his brother? @Anonymous We do ask the second twin first, but then the first twin says no and the second twin shouts "I mean no!" to agree with him.
Posted: 08 May 2019 12:50 PM PDT To make a long story short my husband never had a good relationship with his mom as a kid (she was an available parent) fast forward my husband did pretty well for him self on,his own. We are married bought a home and have one child. She now acts like he's her son because her other kids didn't do much and live with her (the kids she favored over my husband). I don't understand their sudden interest ...in staying at my home alone?
Question: Why are some siblings so rough on the outside yet loving on the inside? Posted: 08 May 2019 12:48 PM PDT Some older siblings are mean to their younger siblings and push them away at times yet love them dearly. Why is this? Are some people just not good at showing love?
Posted: 08 May 2019 12:20 PM PDT Now I feel this tremendous guilt but refuse to call her. I even rejected a gift. She said she's retired now and misses me. I do not miss her at all. She ruined my life and was very verbally abusive and violent.
Question: What do you think of this situation and what should I do? Posted: 08 May 2019 11:58 AM PDT Ok so when my grandma is on the phone talking to family members she always talks about how quiet and antisocial I am and she was even talking about how I ignore people and anyone who asks me a question. I feel like this made me seem like a person who is rude and doesn't like to communicate. My grandpa even acts a certain way towards me because he knows that I'm quiet and I don't like to communicate and I won't pay attention to you because of my grandma. Being quiet and not replying whenever a question was asked was something I did in the past and my grandma talks about it and still talks about it as if it's something I do now and today and my grandpa acts like I still do it now when my grandma brought it up while she was on the phone with family members and relatives. What do you think of this situation and what should I do?
Question: Why do I feel depressed now? Posted: 08 May 2019 11:00 AM PDT My mom and my father we going to book tickets to go to France for a vacation when school ends in June. We were going to do it online but we found it was cheaper in a travel agency. So this morning my father came to collect our passports and our money for our tickets to carry to the agency to buy the tickets, because if we buy them all together we'd get to sit in the same row. But I was still asleep this morning and I woke up to hear my father screaming arguing with my mother. She said she won't bother to go anymore as that is the way he behaves. We all used to go on vacation together before, they would always fight. I'm 16 now. So now it's cancelled.
Question: How can I try to cope with this? Posted: 08 May 2019 10:58 AM PDT my mother was diagnosed with glioblastoma grade 4, it's not curable and the best prognosis they can give her is a year to live. all of this is happening so fast, and it hurts and aches so much when I think of this or see her trying to be positive as she becomes weak and sick from the chemo and radiation. I'm only 16/17 going through this, and I have an amazing relationship with her and I don't want to see her die or have to go through that. has anyone gone through this at this young of an age? I just need someone who's been in a similar situation that can give me some comfort. the fact that I don't have much comfort that I desire shows pretty clearly if I'm on yahoo answers, don't get me wrong I have those who are close to me and many friends but none of them have been here. I do appreciate them being there for me beyond words but sometimes it's easier to talk with someone who's gone through the same thing. any advice or just comfort in general will be gladly appreciated. if you do bring religion into the conversation, I will respect and appreciate your words but do realize I don't believe in everyone going to heaven since in many scriptures in the bible it talks about how the meek will possess the earth (Psalms 37:11). I just need someone who's gone through the same thing or similar and can give me some encouragement for right now, yknow?

Question: I’m scared to leave them...? Posted: 08 May 2019 08:42 AM PDT I'm 23 years old. I gave 5 younger siblings and 1 older brother. I have been helping my mom take care of my siblings since I was 12 years old. I have lives on my own since 17. Every summer the kids live with me. I have even taken 2 of them for a whole year and cared for them. I extend myself to help my mom to this capacity because she's single, and doesn't work, and sometimes I feel she gets depressed. A few months ago, I moved away, hoping this would help me to not feel so responsible for my siblings well being. Well, it hasn't worked because I'm ALWAYS worried they aren't being properly cared for. I'm at a point where I want to move even further... maybe to a big city. I want to Experience the good life while being, young, single, and free. I want to experience everything my mom didn't. With all of the "adults" in my family, no one has their life together. I feel like I'm the only one with a focus and direction. My siblings don't have any other family to rely on. Any advice for me, please!
Question: My grandpa got a side ho? Posted: 08 May 2019 06:50 AM PDT my grandpa set his side ho's name to "low battery" so whenever she calls my grandma just puts the phone on the charger and life goes on, i love my grandma but i don't know what to tell her, they have been together for 16 years.
Posted: 08 May 2019 05:03 AM PDT In my very large and ever expanding family, I have always been the loser. I'm not pretty, I'm not a socialite like the majority of the women in my family, I don't want to live up to the stardards of the material world, I don't do this or that, you get it. I'm also what most people would probably call boring.I'm an artist. My biggest fault(s) though, would be my f****** learning disorders. I have ADD, dyscalculia and dyslexia. They cause much more havoc and unhappiness than you can imagine, if you dont know much about them. Anyway, I am extremely unpopular amongst my puffy, pink cousins and relatives around my age. I was bullied relentlessly all my life, and at least half of it was done by them. I seldom went a week without knowing how much of a loser and weirdo I am and I should do thr world a favor and just end it all. I've hated my life. Because of the bullying from my peers, I was never able to finish school and I still can't because of a lack of assistance. Very few teachers know how to teach people with any disabilities at all. So, I am a nobody with no education, a loser with no desire to love my own kin, and just a nothing to most people. Recently at a family gathering I lost it when I saw my cousins point and laughing at me from a corner like kids, and I lost it. After nearly 30 years of listening to them put me down, I got into a fist fight with the Alpha Cousin. I'm tired of being this loser. Can ANYONE relate to how I feel, maybe? Thank you. Also, this isn't a troll. Felt like that needed to be said. I just like my privacy.
Question: Should I tell the truth? Posted: 08 May 2019 03:29 AM PDT My sister made some choices a few weeks back that she should not have made. I began to worry about her and opened up about what my sister has been doing. My sister denied all and my dad said if he finds out my sister is lying he will take away child support money. My mom needs that money So I lied and said I made up the whole thing so my mom would not lose money and my sister wouldn't get into trouble. Now my parents think I hate my sister and I'm have been dealing with the pain for "lying". What do I do? Do I come clean or just keep going with it?

Question: Was he being two faced and hiding something from me? Posted: 08 May 2019 12:23 AM PDT So I had a feud with my biological father because I finally confronted him about neglecting me all the time as a kid, and it turned into a huge fight with his family members because some of them took his side in the issue. Well long story short, I told one of my cousins from his side of the family that I was coming to town, but I told him not to tell anyone. He agreed not to tell. When I visited and we took pics, he kept asking me not to put them on social media. He seemed super scared and said he doesn't want to make it seem like he's taking sides. I got a little shocked because I wondered why he was so apprehensive about the possibility that I could post the pics because he's the one who kept telling me no one even cares about the issue anymore and people rarely discuss it. Another family member told me that he lies to me a lot about the way the other family members feel about me
Question: How do I tell my aunt that my cousin sent me sexual photos? Posted: 07 May 2019 10:20 PM PDT And a lot of them were not normal. In one he has blood dripping from his arm, another half a broom pole up his *** hole and another where hes holding his dick and licking a gun. This came out of no where. I already blocked him. Can he see that I did?
Question: My mom is being mean to me because of a mistake? Posted: 07 May 2019 10:18 PM PDT I was cooking some jello on low heat, and I went to put it in the fridge to cool down. There was no room on the table so I quickly put it down on a plate coaster, which I didn t realize was made out of plastic until I picked it up. It got ruined. It wasn t very expensive, maybe $15 at most. I told my mom about it and she had a nasty reaction to it. "Your room is already a shithole and now you re ruining the rest of the house. Don t you ever think about anyone but yourself?" Am I wrong for feeling hurt by this?
Posted: 07 May 2019 10:07 PM PDT My 6 year old has a very sensitive, shy girl in her class. I witnessed my own child try to make her cry/get triggered. I immediately pulled her aside and told her that it's bullying, period. My daughter felt bad about it and was scared to admit that she's done it. She told me that other kids in her class are provoking this girl, and they're saying it's funny how the little girl cries so easily. This is apparently the first time she's done it, out of curiosity because she simply wondered why other kids are laughing about it. I then talked about standing up to bullies, being a good friend, and that she fell under peer pressure in some way (in an age-appropriate manner). Over the next few days, she was banned from watching TV and computer time. Me and her father took her and her 3 year old little brother to spend more time as a family instead. My husband and I agree that she's shown more kindness, so all her privileges are back now. However, if something like this happens ever again, I will take it more seriously because I expect her to know right from wrong then. I've already taught her a lesson on this, she's supposed to know by now.
Question: Why is my mom acting like we are 10 years old? Posted: 07 May 2019 09:46 PM PDT So im 19 about to turn 20. My parents are going abroad to uk to go and see my sister. My twin sister and i will be home alone. And its fine!we are old enough to look after ourselves. So my mom wanted to tell her mom to look after us which is weird . Because we are grown up. When i told my mom not to tell her mom to come, she started lashing out at us and basically told me 'yeah you dont want to see her face' and it makes no sense. Why is she being like this? And on top of that i live in place where im surrounded by my famillies. My dad's mom lives next to my house , his brother and children as well. Its very safe .
Posted: 07 May 2019 09:14 PM PDT Very long story short. I'm 16 me & my mom are the only ones that have each other I'm the only one helping out take care of my two younger sisters 10-8. I have no life what so ever, my father works 24/7! Now my uncle knows how much it fears me if my mom were to ever have another kid even though she has promised me she won't a few years ago my last sister wasn't planned & it made my parents afterwards not sleep with each other for almost 4 years. Now my mom isn't on any form of birth control what's so ever & I'm definitely positive she didn't get her tubs tied & my dad didn't get his either. Condoms never aren't really used (their in our shared closet on top) my mom doesn't keep track of her period. The other day now my uncle said my grandma did tarot cards & it showed my mom is going to have another kid, my mom saw my face went **** scared she kept asking what's wrong then I told her & she said "you believe that" then she said "why would I have a kid near 50" she's 44, then I told her how he said I'll be stuck, she said how'll you be stuck then I said maybe it's going to be unexpected & she said "stooop" She didn't look nervous she kept saying maybe it's for you also maybe it's the baby that's popping up I was supposed to have when I was 15. She kept saying a gifted cousin of ours said my sister was the last one. I was expecting more of an answer of her saying definitely not true. 2 months ago she was spotting & I ask her if she thinks shes pregnant & she said "are you crazy".
Question: Should I be concerned about my 16 year old only hanging out with 18 year olds...? Posted: 07 May 2019 08:38 PM PDT These older girls will graduate high school and leave my daughter behind. I worry she might get too lonely or depressed within the next 2 years at school. From observation, my 16 year old has friends in her grade but they aren't close. It looks like most kids stick to their own friendship groups that they've formed in the beginning. My daughter can have a very hard time joining a new group next year. There's still 2 months of school left for our school district. I guess we didn't thoroughly think about my daughter being left with no school friends someday, if she befriends the older students. I was just glad that she is a good kid who hung out with good people. She knew this day would happen at some point, but never spent time worrying about it
Question: Do I have a right to be upset? Posted: 07 May 2019 07:52 PM PDT Ok so my parents are divorced and my grandma on my dad s side passed away a few weeks ago. I found out that everyone but me got insurance money. My sister keeps bragging to everyone that she has money and how I didn t get nothing. I feel left out and my family tells me it s because she was closest to her that s why she got money. But I was close to her to. All her grandchildren got money except me. Does it sound greedy if I feel left out because everyone got money besides me?? I m not trying to sound like a spoiled brat because I m not. I m happy they all got something but I m upset because I didn t get anything. And when I bring it up my mom defends her and says she needed it and that she was closet to her and that s why she got some and I didn t. But I was close to her to. It s been bugging me a while. It hurts my feelings that I got left out. I just want someone s opinion on whether I should be upset or not.
| Question: Mother and son dance!? Posted: 07 May 2019 07:18 PM PDT Recently there was a mom and son dance, my girlfriend decided to go for my 2 boys, I took 2 hours off work to see them dance, we get there to the event, she decide to sit next to me and started saying to me to get up and dance, there was no dads in the event, I had told her, that that event was only for mom and son sence she's not the mom she decided to go cause they don't have a mom, I didint wanna go dance with my boys cause it was supposed to be a mother and son dance, there was no dads at all, she gets mad and goes outside, I go outside and she saying that why didint I go dance with my boys, I replied cause it's a mom and son event that's why your here, she started telling me that me I didn't care to get up and dance, I told her it's a mom and son dance you decided to come, she gets mad and saying "they didint ask for me" yes they did ask for you, plus you aceptes me with kids this is a good time to connect with my kids, she mad and tells me " well I'm not your ****** Nani to go take care of them, she left and my boys were saying bye but she never ever turned back to say bye! | Question: How do I handle an overstaying guest who won’t listen? Posted: 07 May 2019 05:29 PM PDT My dad asked if he could stay at my 1 bedroom apartment while he teaches golf lessons for cash. What he did not say was how long he'd be staying. It's now been 2 weeks. The worst thing is, he's done this the last 2 years where he'd ask to stay and then stay multiple weeks at a time, at one point, 6 weeks at a time. I tried reaching a halfway point with him saying he could stay for a few nights to a week but a little more than that is too much. He tried guilt tripping me saying he needs this to pay for the family and thinks I'm being selfish and an asshole for it which is BS. I even told him I'm not allowed to have guests for extended periods of time due to the lease and thinks I'm being rude and greedy. This has taken a toll on my sanity because I barely get any personal space and privacy as this is a one bedroom apartment and tried to think I owe my apartment to him as he paid for college and raised me. Sure he buys groceries and dinner but I don't pay $850 plus electric each month so I can feel imposed on. I don't wanna call the cops or my landlord on him but I'm afraid it'll get to that point. |
Posted: 07 May 2019 04:33 PM PDT I have asked him to respect my boundaries and refrain from talking about his third parties. I have no relationship with them and wish to remain that way. His wife has been hostile towards me and I don't know why he insists on having me listen to him at pickup. Does he have feelings he wants to share with me or is he asserting that his life is different and need to see how? I just want to know why he doesn't keep our conversation about our child only. I have majority custody. I had a hard time when we broke up when I was pregnant and he left me for her. It's been 5 years. I forgave him but I do still have emotions about our past. I still feel pain and he knows this.

Question: What is your opinion on this? Posted: 07 May 2019 11:15 AM PDT Hey there, I have a couple of baby names in mind for four girls, and I wanted your opinion on it. I decided to give my daughters middle names associated with flowers because that is what they are to me and their father, our little flower princesses :) Here we go: - Grace Violet Sarabia (Sarabia's the father's last name) - Genesis Leilani Sarabia - Marisol Rose Sarabia - May-belle Chrysanthemum Sarabia That's all! :)
