Question: How to say goodbye to a good friend? Posted: 12 May 2019 05:25 PM PDT Next week I have to say goodbye to a good friend/ my boss. I have known her for a little over a year. I work at a fast-food place part time while attending school. She is a few years older than me, has a degree and was using this job as a stepping stone to figure out what she wanted to do. She was offered a really good job across the country and decided to take it. Since she has began working here she has become a very good friend to me. She came and hung out with me on my birthday, when I had no one to do anything with. She also stands up for me when people make fun of me. She always texts me to see how I am doing if I am having a rough couple of days and weeks. She has been a very good support system for me for the past year, as a lot of things haven't been easy for me with school and family. I don't know what I will do with out her. Next Sunday I have to say goodbye to her at work. We planned to meet sometime outside of work to say goodbye but our schedules don't line up before she leaves, as I have finals and she has to pack. I feel like I am going to be really emotional and cry in front of everyone that works there. I don't want to start crying and make her start crying. How should I handle this situation. |
Question: Es normal sentirse gay a los 14 años? (PERU-LIMA)?

Posted: 12 May 2019 03:02 PM PDT How weird is this? One business acquaintance of mine asked me to be in charge of his medical records (as power of attorney for healthcare matters, getting them and sending them to a new doctor) and be executor of his will. I agreed, although wouldn't family or close friends be the ones to do this, usually? He says that he trusts me and doesn't trust his employees to do it. He has a wife, and he doesn't talk much about her. He recently had a health scare, which prompted this. I am glad to help people, but this took 5 hours out of my day last week, unexpectedly; he told me that he wanted to meet at a specific time during the day and then I waited an hour for him after I appeared when requested. I am a straight, unmarried woman. We don't work for the same company, and we're on the same professional level. If I said no, maybe he would be hurt and wouldn't send me business, but it wouldn't harm my job. I wasn't really given an opportunity to say no, though. So: how weird is this? |
Question: When to give up on a friend ghosting you? Posted: 12 May 2019 02:52 PM PDT My best friend cut off all contact a little over a month ago. He has done this before so at first I wasn't worried, but a lot of time has passed and he still hasn't returned my texts or calls and I'm still blocked on snapchat. I'm actually very hurt because he means a lot to me, but I don't want to grovel if for some reason he doesn't want me around anymore. Is it time to call it quits? |
Question: Am I overthinking this situation? Posted: 12 May 2019 02:14 PM PDT I have a friend who I feel as though that is "one upping" me. For example, ii started grad school - she starts grad school at the same university and I was not able to complete due to financial reasons, she kinda throws it in my face. Another I get a boyfriend, now she has one. It's kisy little things like that? Am I crazy |

Posted: 12 May 2019 01:26 PM PDT My mom told me in first semester of 10th grade due to a bulling incident (she doesn't believe me when I tell her I wasn't involved even tho I wasnt) so she told me she doesnt know who I am anymore. Now, I'm depressed about it because during that time I had lost all my friends because of schools i self harmed. I felt like my mom of all people should know me. I felt so uncared for. Now, we had an arguement a few days ago and she says ya words do matter. But also that I need to give up about that. What do I do? I even told her maybe it is her fault that she doesn't know me maybe she should try harder. |

Question: Could I get arrested for seeking new friends on Facebook? Posted: 12 May 2019 12:17 PM PDT I heard from a couple youtube videos that its technically illegal to send friend requests to multiple strangers in your area. But I dont have many friends and I dont know where or how else I can creat my own clique. I enjoy being in groups when I'm out in public. I hate shopping alone, I hate going to restaurants alone, I rather be seen in a small crowd. It's been hard for me to even join social clubs. They deny me cause they say I'm not disabled enough to be a member. I cant find friends on craigslist cause they banned the personal friendship finder. So I dont know how else I can make friends without looking like a creep. When i try saying hi to people in public they act snobby towards me like I'm trying to scam them or something. I do have a little bit of autism, so it's hard for me to initiate a conversation. But nobody ever tries talking to me or knowing me. I'm always the one that has to approach to get their attention. So if Facebook not legally safe to do so, where else can I make friends without feeling weird? |

Posted: 12 May 2019 09:37 AM PDT So I've had a friend, lets call her Blant, me and Blant have known each other since preschool.Far more than anyone in our middleschool friend group. She LOVES to one-up people and when I mean one-up I mean one time I said my dog was dieing and her soothing words said things about when her dog got decapitated right in front of her.If you dare say something wrong like the wrong pronoun she will say about ripping your throut out and I know for a fact she isn't just mentally wrong because she says it as if she wants to be edgy not that she is edgy. She also fakes her sexuality, this touchy subject but she says she's a lesbian gets a random girlfriend and she does nothing because as long as she can say "I have a girlfriend "she thinks she's entitled to TOO much and every one except her girlfriend knows that she is straight with how she likes to treat boys. There's Craw,Craw is THE nicest girl I've met. She's loyal and Blant knows this so If Craw dare say something interrupting on accident or says SOMETHING about Blant, Blant will say " SHUT UP or else I'm not your friend anymore " and that makes me so aggravated especially how its a double standard. This comes down to why I said I wasn't friends with her anymore, I KNOW to NEVER tell Blant a secret because she will tell everyone especally if its romance so one day Eon comes up crying because Blant broke her nd her boyfreind up and set her up with someone else. that was it, Blantwas crying everyone was looking at me like i hit her. |
Question: Am I crazy for expecting to get bullied or taken advantage of once in while? Posted: 12 May 2019 09:07 AM PDT I'm actually Confident in myself and I got good things that many around me dont have. But I find it kinda strange that people respect me for it and seem to be nice to me. I naturally expect people to be jealous of me and try putting me down to test my patience. But they dont. So if I only want people to dislike me enough to push me around, should I act like a loser? I always thought the losers get left alone. And the confident stable people draw the miserable bullies into their lives. But maybe that's just in my own twisted mind |

Question: Why does my friend treat me like dirt on the floor? Posted: 12 May 2019 07:18 AM PDT been friends with this girl for a year. I feel frustrated because she is copying everything I do, my hobbies, my interests, even my dating life. She messaged me as soon as she saw online that I took up dancing and asked me if she could join classes with me. I naturally said yes and since then we have been going to class together. I took photos of myself dancing in a studio and she messaged me asking how I got my photos done and she wants me to take photos of her dancing now in the exact same place and get the same photos. I put on social media that I was back into dating and she messaged me asking how I got dates and where I got them from and I told her I met them online so she joined the same dating site and then sent me pictures of the guys she was messaging. Whenever I go on dates she will message me and tell me that she's jealous and wants to hear all about them. When I do tell her on nights out she changes the subject quickly and then talks about guys who she is messaging. On a recent night out, she kept calling me an idiot for forgetting my ID, then when we got home she kept telling me I spilt my make up everywhere and wouldn't stop going on about it. When she drove me back home she made me feel bad about it and told me I was holding her up what is her problem with me? Why does she treat me like complete dirt? |
Question: What should I do in this situation after I lied? Posted: 12 May 2019 06:25 AM PDT So I began college a year ago and met some new friends here. Anyways, back then I told them to sound more interesting that I was born and grew up in South Africa and then moved to Chicago as a teen, when I really just grew up in Chicago and never lived in South Africa. Well now my parents are visiting me and my friends here and I'm wondering if I should continue to hide where I am from or just tell my friends I lied. I'm worried now that they will not want to be my friend. What should I do? |

Question: Is it unusual for someone to have gotten at this drunk at her age? Posted: 11 May 2019 10:45 PM PDT My friend just finished Grad school and he is 29. But the other day we threw a house party to celebrate before she moves away for her new job. And she drank overboard I think. She ended up blacking out and puked. She doesn't remember the night. |

Question: Can someone help me with a comeback to this? Posted: 11 May 2019 07:29 PM PDT My ex-bff texted me this: "Yes, I can confirm I was fake, sure. At least my "friends" as you call them, have the guts to tell people stuff to their face. No, obviously, I don't want any fights, with least of all you. If you want me to say it to your face, fine. Maybe I should. However, I'm not really into that, namely because you'd walk away and be annoyed. If I wanted to reevaluate my life choices, I would have done it a long time ago and I would have stopped being your friend. I'm sorry that I happen to have friends who care about me. If you really don't like my opinions, you should hear the ones I keep to myself. Look, I'm so sorry that my opinions were damaging your inconveniently placed pride. You're right, it was a toxic friendship. I don't blame you for saying that, because it was. If you honestly think posting stuff on roblox is a good idea, then go ahead. I could give less shits. However, I don't give half a **** worth about what you say. You don't know how stupid it looks just "**** talking" on roblox. You couldn't really do anything about it, seeing as you really don't have the balls to say anything to my face, per mentioned. You are right, 6th graders are the worst. We are a curse to this world. Bold of you to assume 7th graders don't come straight from hell." can someone help me with a come back? I'm dry of ideas. |

Question: Should I tell her how I feel? Posted: 11 May 2019 06:01 PM PDT I'm a guy in my early 20s. I've been friends with a girl since the fall. We met through work but have since parted ways. A few months ago she switched work places, and she started to text me less and hang out less, until she was too "busy" to see me. So I had to respect that and move on. Just this month, I reconnected with her on social media. Found out we both like to jog. So I asked her to jog and 2 weeks ago we did. I told her it was great to see her and catch up. I felt like we connected better than ever. I haven't heard anything since. Truth is, I think she's the coolest, cutest chick ever. Not sure how she feels. I want to date her. Part of me says "speak the truth, or make your peace some other way". I'll probably destroy any friendship left if I do this. Any ideas? How do I say it if I do? I wanted to just ask her out in a dating way to begin with but our work place prohibited it so I had to ask her to "hang out". Not sure if she took it that way or not. Insult to injury, I became good friends with her whole family. So I'll prob lose them if I do this. |
