We are now roommates, we sleep in separate rooms etc. Well it is 4 months and every time I touch her, she slaps my hands off. Things are well. We do have our hiccups but, there is nothing we don't push through. My girlfriend is getting her Bachelors in Business Management currently, she has her own apartment and her own car, she really is independent for her age. The problem is my girlfriend and I get a lot of gossipers from her side of the family because I'm older. There are people on my side of my family who has also spoken to me about her age. I try to defend my girlfriend but that doesn't stop people from having their opinion of course. My girlfriend invited me to her families cook out a few days ago and from the time we got there until we left her family was saying things about me. I've met her family before her father made it clear he doesn't understand what i see in his daughter and how he's against her dating me which i totally understand. My girlfriend does get criticized a lot when she tells someone about me and she is having a rough time trying to not let people get to her. I've noticed people gossip more about my girlfriends age than mine so she takes the heat a lot when people voice their opinion. I dint want to break up with her at all she is the sweetest woman I've ever met. She's unselfish and looks out for me all the time. I had my friend contact his friend on fb and then I told his friend how I really admire and adore him and I'm sure his friend told him for me. He's single. My issue is that he doesn't know me. This is a crush. He's someone at an institution I attend. It's possible he does not know me when I thought he at least knows or saw me before. I do not run into him often or see him often. He did not reject me directly either since it wasn't done in person, he says he's single and not seeing anyone and says he might have a crush on someone else. But he's single. He last said a conversation would be nice if we bump into each other. I'm debating if I should let it go or try giving it another chance? I don't want to hang onto false hope. I sent him a picture of the receipt but he hasn't mentioned when he's gonna pay me. We work at the same place so I don't want to cause any tension.
