Question: My mom doesn't feed me much.. Why is this happening? Posted: 15 May 2019 01:07 PM PDT So, I'm 14 and my brother is 17. She always treats my brother better than she treats me. Like for example, makes my brother lunch and dinner without him asking. But, I have to ask for it.. Sometimes, she won't even make it for me just because I didn't go to school. Keep in mind that my brother is 3 years older than me. She only really makes me breakfast and that's about it. Sometimes she even forgets about making me breakfast.. |

Question: My younger brother keeps messing with me? Posted: 15 May 2019 12:10 PM PDT I'm 18 and he's 16 and he keeps on trying to fight me some reason. Yesterday I simply asked him if he can give me back my iPhone charger that I let him use. He starts saying that it is charger now and I have to take it from him. I didn't feel like arguing so I had just walked out the room. And Today I walked we walked past each other and he just gets in my face saying fight him. So I told him to get out of my face. And then he actually pushed me. Which caused my glasses kinda falls off. So I pushed him back but I didn't really fight him because I'm the oldest and try to be the more mature one out of my siblings. He the 2nd born and I also have a younger sister and a even younger 9 year old brother that acts more mature than him! Idk what to do. I haven't fought him like 4 years and all of the sudden he wants to pick a fight. I have other things to worry about like graduation, college and I have issues my girlfriend so I just want him to stop but I want to handle it on my own. But I'm also thinking of telling my mom since I know my dad wouldn't care. |
Posted: 15 May 2019 10:55 AM PDT I m a childfree individual, and the best choice for me is to have my tubes surgically removed. I m going to have to pay for about 20 percent of the procedure out of pocket. I ve been sure about this decision for a good, long time, and I know that if I ever choose motherhood, I want to adopt an older child. I was abused, and if parenthood calls to me, I want to help a child who was hurt. I ve also consulted my doctor and mental health professional, who have each given me the green light. I m not religious, nor is my mom, and after a few years, she has started to accept that she s not getting any grandkids from me. (She already has 4 lol!) But I do live with her, and I don t know how to cope with the shame if she disagrees with my decision... I was going to wait 2 and a half years until I m booted off of her catholic based insurance policy and get it done for free, but with the changes of abortion laws in my state of ohio, I m no longer willing to risk it. I m a virgin and will probably happily stay that way for a while, but you never know what life can throw at you. How can I get my mom to side with me? She is usually a very nice and understanding person, what can I do to make it do she isn t ashamed of me or upset with me? She is the only person whose opinion I care about besides my own. |
Question: I need Help and advice with talking to my parents? Posted: 15 May 2019 10:38 AM PDT Hi, I'm 13 years old and in the past 3 weeks, I have been in trouble twice at school. I have been grounded and now I have gotten in trouble again but this time it's way worse. I do not know what to do and so I'm looking for help and advice on how I can talk to my dad. My dad isn't the one to listen. He gets mad easily but has never been abusive. I just wanna learn how I can tell him. |

Question: Anyone else have bad relationship with their mother? Posted: 15 May 2019 07:16 AM PDT I'm in my late 30s and feel bad that I have a quite distant relationship with my mom. I've tried to get together with her or have her over my place to bond etc., but she's a generally cold person, no friends and always starts controversy. We were close up until I was about 30 years old and then after I was flooded out of my apartment, she hadn't been talking to me for 6 months because she was envious of my other friendships. She's not celebrated any of my birthdays or been there for me the way a lot of mothers are even on an emotional scale and she hasn't been supportive of anything in my career/life. Even though I've stayed being a good daughter, there's just a distance between us and we get together, she rants about politics or social media which I can't relate to. Does anyone else have this type of awkward relationship with their mother and feel bad? |
Question: Parents think they are right and I'm 26? Posted: 15 May 2019 05:25 AM PDT So when I was living with my parents they always said my house my rules. That's one of the reasons I moved out but now when I tell them the same my house my rules tey just look at !e and say that's not how it works spot being so stupid and do what we tell you or I'll smack you and you will regret it! Why should I still follow their rules when I have my own place |

Posted: 15 May 2019 12:27 AM PDT We have already been in a long distance relationship for 5 years due to different colleges, her in Texas and me in Colorado. I want to start our life together, but she wants to live with her family cause she says doesn t want to miss her baby brother (5) growing up. She gives a lot of bs reasons as to why it s somehow better that she lives with her parents, but I tell her why they dont make sense. She says that she will be saving money living with her parents, but she also says she would fly up to see me in Missouri from Texas once a month. To that I said that collectively, as a couple, we will be losing money, because instead of us splitting the rent i will be fronting all of it and then she would just be spending at least $200 extra a month to come see me. She continues to say that "she" will be saying money though when I keep saying "collectively" or "as a couple." She also has a guaranteed job at a level one trauma center (nurse) there to help her job advancement to become a flight nurse. But she isnt keeping an open mind and says even if she did get a job at a level one trauma center in Missouri she likely would still go live with her parents. For "job experience and saving money" as her main reasons. I just feel like she doesn t want to put in any sacrifice to come live with me and start a life together. Ive told her that she needs to grow up and move out (I was pissed at the time, but meant it wholeheartedly). Can someone help me understand? |
Question: I worry that my boyfriends mother is going to want to be too involved with our baby? Posted: 14 May 2019 11:19 PM PDT I am due to give birth in the summer and we are have a girl. My boyfriends mom is sooo excited to become a grandmother it's all she talks about most of the time. My mother unfortunately passed away a couple years ago and it makes me so sad that she is around for this and to be a grandmother. I'm concerned that my boyfriends mom is going to be really full on and want to spend loads and loads of time with our daughter. After all she'll be the only Granny in the picture so she'll have her all to herself and won't have to compete with another granny. It's just a worry of mine cos I don't think that my heart could take it if she was too full on and wanting to see her granddaughter 24/7. It would be painful for me, if that makes sense. I would never stop her from seeing her of course but how can I express my feelings to my boyfriend and his mom without coming across rude |
Question: My dad choked me and it was over a stupid argument? Posted: 14 May 2019 10:45 PM PDT Okay so today I was simply being rude to my dad and although he frustrates me a lot to the point where I end up snapping. Our connection hasn't been the best and there's going to be a point where we won't ever be communicating again. I was purposely joking about getting into a fist fight with him but I wasn't going to do anything severe. He decided to grip on both of my arms and he wouldn't let go to the point where it was hurting me. I got extremely aggravated and decided to pull his hair to get him to let me go. Yes i'm crazy thank you for that. Then I started shouting to get him to let me go and now let me tell you I hate when people tend to say that i'm weak and let people take advantage of me. So I was simply trying to defend myself but I put my hands on him first. Then he decided to choke me but my mom got in the middle of the fight and that's where it ended. What is the best advice you can give to me in this situation? Between I am an adult and our argument happen on a daily basis and we are both getting tired of each other. I'm literally ready to move out and start my own life. |
Question: My mom won't let me do anything? Posted: 14 May 2019 09:06 PM PDT I'm 26 have my own place my parent still try telling me what to do I was telling I wanted a dog and she freaked out and said me and your brother already have. 1 so it will make 3 dog in the house so I said it's your dog not mine and see freak even more.A couple of days ago I said I was going to adopt a cat. And she just freak again how to make her understand it's my house and not hers and I can do whatever I want since I'm an adult |
Posted: 14 May 2019 09:00 PM PDT My parents always try to make my sister tie her hair in a ponytail. Either that, or she gets a short haircut. My sister likes to have long hair down. They get annoyed with her NOT tying it up, and refusing to get a haircut at the same time. |
Question: My parents don't invest.? Posted: 14 May 2019 08:25 PM PDT I offered to open a brokerage account for them and they refused it. It is very fusturating. They have always been bad with money. As a result, I grew up on welfare and had to beevicted twice. |
Question: Is it normal to grieve the death of your mother-in-law? Posted: 14 May 2019 08:07 PM PDT She died for Mother's day sunday at the age of 62. Cardiac arrest. I keep crying on and off. I don't know why I can't get a grip. My husband is grieving and I'm supporting him. I'm confused why I'm grieving so much when she wasn't my parent. I've known her for over 9 years. |
Question: Anyone else cant wait to move out there moms home? Posted: 14 May 2019 07:43 PM PDT Its gotten to the point where being around her is just toxic and i dont see any upside except that she pays for my stuff. She soesnt apologize for stuff she does to hurt me, after arguments or whatever. I used to but i dont anymore because she doesnt even say sorry after i have said it. She just says thanks and tells me i need to change and do better. Im too old and grown for this. Im a woman. I am about ready to move across the world if i need to just to get away from this nasty woman. I really want to get married and be a stay at home mom and wife but it hasnt happened yet so id rather get a job and be as far from this "person" as possible. |
Question: Why my mother treat my sister's better ? Posted: 14 May 2019 06:06 PM PDT Why my mom treat my big sister's better..im 20 nd they 22 and 24 nd my mom just always treated them better and hang with them and actually have a friendship with them ...i be feeling left out. |
Question: What to do If I know once my father cheated on my mom? Posted: 14 May 2019 04:56 PM PDT I caught my father cheating on my mom when I was young but I did not understand what he was doing as I was too young later when I did understand my parents were good together so I thought my father has changed but now again my mom found some inappropriate msgs sent by my dad recently to that lady when questioned he said he would never cheat on my mother and those msgs were not real and now they are constantly fighting because of those msgs should I tell my mom what happened now because what if he is cheating again back then I caught him doing so as he didn t care much if we (me and my sister) are around or not now maybe he is being cautious as we have grownup |
Question: Can me and my sister get into trouble for spreading rumours about somebody online? Posted: 14 May 2019 04:55 PM PDT I'm 12 and my sister is 13. Since were only one grade apart, we know the same people. We hate this girl from school, so I came up with an idea to make a fake account to spread rumours about her online. We've spreaded stories that she has STD's, and is a fake ho. My sister even secretly took embarrassing pictures of her and posted them. Nobody knows it's us, except a few friends. Weve even gathered tons of kids to go against her. She's been loosing friends and crying more often since 😂 |
Posted: 14 May 2019 04:50 PM PDT My mom is 44 I'm 16 I have 2 younger sisters 10-8. My last sister was unexpected, due to that my parents didn't sleep with each other for almost 4 yrs. My mom didn't want to go on birth control & was afraid of using just condom. There was a time where things became crazy I ran from home for a bit I don't know if during that time my dad got a vasectomy but he works doing floors picking up heavy stuff everyday, he's also into being natural so I don't think he did, my mom isn't on any form of birth control only condoms that aren't use all the time, she doesn't track her cycles & didn't get her tubs tied. Once few yrs ago I know my mom left the computer on female condom, now all I know is the condom box isn't always use, last time he bought the box was a year ago. Last time I look it was use but the time before it wasn't for awhile, no more now. My mom is in early menopause. The beginning she was getting scared even tho I told her what it could be so I ask her if she thinks shes pregnant she said "are you crazy". Now my uncle mess around with me saying my grandma did tarot cards it showed my mom is going to have another kid & I'll be stuck again. My mom saw my face she said "you believe him, how'll you be stuck? Why would I have a kid near 50". I said maybe it be surprise she said "stooop" she said she was told she had her last kid. She said maybe you. She kept asking to make sure it was maybe for the baby she miscarriage yrs ago. Btw my mom knows she can still get pregnant |
Posted: 14 May 2019 04:47 PM PDT My faith teaches homosexuality as a sin. My brother came out to our family. My mom supports him and my dad doesn't judge. I told them I will disown him and for him to find a woman and marry her. My father told me my financial assistance will go to him if I keep it up. That's not fair! 😡 |

Question: HELP!!! My daughter is thinking of ending it, what can I do? Posted: 14 May 2019 02:14 PM PDT It's also for a stupid reason. She was in an accident at 16 and shattered her nose. She has serious issues breathing through it. Surgery made things worse and her nose completely collapsed. What can I do? She's now 22 and just doesn't want to live with it. She lies in bed all day. |

Question: Can College Cost People To Become Psycho ? Posted: 13 May 2019 11:02 PM PDT My brother was never like this before he went to college he was always a nice man he always clean up after him self he was a very nice brother he always took a shower like a normal person but ever since he came back from college he is not the same anymore. Im the youngest in the family im 23 hes like 29 he has not even start his own life yet is like Im baby sitting for him, |
Posted: 13 May 2019 09:49 PM PDT I notice that when I allowed my 11 year old to do the same things as these older girls, more peer pressure and scary situations happened. She is my firstborn kid and I am trying my best to deal with this age group. I also try not to overprotect or be too strict, because that can lead to bad outcomes. These kids were nice when I met them. These children are no more than a year and a half older than my own kid. I would've said NO WAY if she wanted to hang out with 17 year olds, but the age difference in this situation is so small that I thought I'd be okay. After all, they even attend school together and be in the same class (they're at such a small school that some elective courses are available for all grades to be part of one class). I'm trying my best to do what's right for my kid. Like I said, I didn't think that it'd be such a huge problem. |
Question: What if I'm related to Ted Bundy? Posted: 13 May 2019 09:17 PM PDT My dad has told me since I was young that his dad was a horrible person. He never went into detail. His mom also told me that. I don't think my dad even remembers meeting him, I think his dad left them when he was an infant. His mom was 18 when she had my dad. My dad has been an alcoholic for years & cheated on my mom multiple times. Even got another lady pregnant and now I have a younger half-sister.. There were times where my dad wouldn't come home or even calls for days. My mom forgave him and they are still married. He blames it on his childhood, etc bullshit. I don't know what ever happened to my dad's biological dad. My grandmother told me she "heard" he passed away, but never told me how. My dad seems to have very similar genes to Ted Bundy (dark curly hair, hazel eyes, similar profiles, and not super tall). However, I know that many caucasian males fall under these characteristics and that is what keeps me hopeful that my mind is just being outrageous. Ted Bundy and my grandmother were born the exact same year (1946) & my dad was born in 1964. Supposedly the biological dad passed away, yet no one has said how. It's just crazy how much my dad and my brother resemble Bundy. Also, I brought up the "Extremely Wicked" movie to both of my parents and they pretty much changed the subject. Idk. It's just all very weird and I want to know if I sound crazy or if this is a reasonable hypthosis. |
Posted: 13 May 2019 09:12 PM PDT If I'm 5 minutes late, they're mad. If I'm 30 minutes late, they won't look at me the same the next day. I don't know what to do because it's the only thing they ask of me but I feel like they still see me as a 14 year old sometimes. I've tried everything, but my mom hates when I'm out because she always thinks of the worst case scenario, where I'm kidnapped or killed and she won't be able to do anything about it. But I'm only ever at my friends house, our other friends house, or in my car on my way to eat or go home. I worry about how much my mom worries sometimes. I have a job, and I start college next fall, where I'll be living in the dorms, so she'll have to be okay with me not being home all the time. What do I do? Do I do anything? |

Posted: 13 May 2019 07:51 PM PDT Was my moms response to this a joke to her since that shes done with having kids or was she saying this as a remark if she would have another why. He said to me why would I have a kid near 50 the other day also she knows this is my fear Today I had a dream that my cousin thats gifted told me my mom was going to have a baby. Just before I told my grandmother on the phone about the dream and my sister overheard and her face went kinda blank and said out loud "mom Lauren had a dream that you were pregnant that was her nightmare". Then my mom came down the steps kinda laughing and then I came in the room and she look at me and said "you had a dream I was pregnant that was your nightmare cause I was pregnant it was your nightmare?". I got nervous and said no no I had many nightmares I had a dream I was in a hotel room and some guy wanted to get me and she said "cause you been thinking to much" then I said to her I'm on the phone with grandma and Chris (my uncle) didn't even ask how I was feeling (I have a cold) then I told her my dream about her and I can't remember if she said because your thinking... I didn't get much response then I ask her why she said nightmare and she said cause my sister said that then I her nervous again and said no I had many nightmares BUT that dream of her pregnant was my nightmare! My mom is 44 I'm 17 and have two younger siblings and it was only me and my mom that took care of them we had no one else my father didn't even help out and he works ALOT! |
Question: Do you want to have kids so your genes will be passed on to future generations? Posted: 13 May 2019 07:15 PM PDT I don't have children, and I won't. Life is hard and I don't want to bring someone into a life like mine (which is a nightmare), and I'd be a bad parent. My mother is upset that I don't have children. She says that it's important that I reproduce so that my genes will be passed on to another generation. I find that ridiculous. One of me is enough and what do I care if there is another "me" in the next generation. I'll be gone for part of the next generation's life anyway. So: do you think it's important for your genes to be passed onto the next generation? Is it important to you to have someone like you in the next generation? Thanks. |
Question: Is it my dad, or me? Posted: 13 May 2019 07:11 PM PDT Oh my hecking god. Okay so my dad gave me this watch that is similar to an apple watch. I've had this watch for about, maybe two months? Well, he just took my watch and replaced one with this "red border" (there's a border around the screen unlike that of an apple watch). I immediatley asked him why I have a red watch now, and he got all defensive. This red watch looks extremely plastic and tacky, and honestly...I don't like it at all. I'm not very good at handling sudden changes, but for ***** sake dad, at least tell me first. We got into an argument and he ended up taking the red watch away saying "i didn't need it cuz i'm being so ungrateful." And some additional info, he wants my watch cuz he doesn't use an apple phone anymore, so his apple watch is basically useless, and my black watch would look more "professional" than the red one (cuz he's like the chief of something in his hospital ). I just don't understand this situation, and why my dad is so friking pissed, like am I being ungrateful, or is it my dad being unreasonable? (also he said that it's red, so its for girls) |

Question: How do I get my mother to move out of my old house? Posted: 13 May 2019 05:44 PM PDT When we moved into our new home, my parents "coincidentally" showed up from Arizona as we were moving. They asked to stay in my old house "for a month or two" until they found a place. You can imagine what happens next. It's 8 years later, dad has long passed, and my Mom will NOT find a place to move. She keeps saying she will every time I ask. But nothing every happens. Finally I had it out with her, and she found a place to move "in the summer". Yep, you guessed it. Summer is coming up and she won't move. "They won't take my dog". She lied about being accepted and moving! What can I do? She is older. She won't move in with us. She won't move out of my old house. She gives me "some" money to help pay the mortgage (it doesn't cover it by far, and her dog has ruined the carpet, and things break costing me even more money). I'm at my wits end, and she's digging in her heels. And I'm paying a mortgage I keep stretching to afford. |
