Posted: 14 May 2019 06:02 PM PDT Hey guys, So over the past ~4 months I've become somewhat of a doormat in my close friend circle; their jokes about me are mean (and thinly disguised insults) and nearly everything I say is ridiculed. They gossip about me, and I'm pretty sure they'd prefer if I wasn't hanging out with them (they've hinted I'm deadweight) even though they pity-invite me to most things (we've been friends for a really long time). I've told them to cut it out twice before after they took it too far, but they apologized and started again within a week . I've tried to change some of the things that bother them about me but it doesn't seem to do anything. It's gotten to the point where I can't even be in their presence without feeling upset. About a week ago, it just became too much, and I essentially stopped most speaking/communication with them. I just can't bring myself to be actively engaged in conversation or group message with them anymore (although I'll still reply if I must). So far all that has happened is that they don't message/talk to me either and are no longer discreet about me not being invited. I'm not sure what I'm doing- I really want to just completely leave and make new friends (and I'm trying really hard not to be bothered that they couldn't give a **** about me), but we only have two more weeks of senior year left. There's stuff like prom and our amusement park field trip that I'm already paired with them for, and I just don't know how I can handle that. Advice? |
Question: Should I be friends with her again? Posted: 14 May 2019 06:00 PM PDT So, I have this ex-best friend that I recently had an argument with and I accused her of being fake and that our friendship was toxic since she was ignoring me and addicted to texting her other friends, and she confirmed that she was fake and that our friendship WAS fake. It honestly hurt me to know my best friend of two entire years was fake all this time. Anyway, so I'm wondering if I should want her as my best friend again or not because I'm lonely and I'm interested in being friends with the friends that she abandon me for... should I be friends with her again or not? |
Question: My boyfriend is jealous of every person around me? Posted: 14 May 2019 05:35 PM PDT no matter if its friends or even simply the people i follow on instagram, he gets extremely weird about it saying that he would never go out with all his friends or follow all these people because the only person he needs in his life is me. he couldnt give a rats *** about anybody else. and look, i get that completely because i am the same way. but im allowed to follow others-- especially if its mostly girls with fashion style/makeup/music that i like. and im allowed to hangout with my friends because they are just friends. everything i do is all innocent and he should not be throwing a hissy fit about it. hes even jealous of the youtubers i watch... its insane. i explain myself everytime but he acts like i am the worst human in existence for enjoying other people. i dont value any of this over him and he knows that... but he constantly says what im doing is wrong. am i wrong? is he wrong? what should we do? |

Question: Am I mean because I’m quiet? (Please answer will give best answer).? Posted: 14 May 2019 05:02 PM PDT So I have sport practice with a bunch of kids mixed levels and ages. I have been in this for around 6 months now. I have no friends here and no one talks to me. Someone told me today that people think that I'm weird and mean as well as self centered and that I put them down because I am quiet. I don't talk much but I talk a little. It's hard for me to talk. I do admit that at home by myself or with a sibling I do talk about how I'm better than some of the kids but I would NEVER say anything like that in front of them. I respect everyone. How do I fix this if I'm mean? How do I be less shy and not come off as mean? |
Question: I saw a good looking female with old man at gas station, should I help her? Posted: 14 May 2019 04:51 PM PDT A really sexy looking redhead came out from old junkie car with old man. They went in to get hot dog, old man try to use credit card but it decline. They both walked to ATM, still couldn't get cash from ATM. They walked out of gas station leaving hot dog with cheese on counter. The cashier just throw away hot dog afterward. Now don't know if old man is father or grand father or maybe boyfriend but he looks too old for her. The female looks sexy but dress normal, not dress like a whore but just normal. Now I felt bad for not having opportunities to flirting her like offering I pay for hot dog. Who know, maybe she will ride with me so I become her new boyfriend cuz I got enough money to feed her while other old man too broke to feed her. Is there anything I could have done? Maybe they both are homeless and ran away from law, but I don't mind let her live with me and tell her old man to go away. |
Question: Is she jealous of me? Posted: 14 May 2019 04:46 PM PDT I'm auditing a course and during the first day of class, this previous classmate called my name and waved as I sat down in my chair. During the break, I went up to talk to her a bit and she asked if I'm taking the course (which I said only audit) and she also asked if she will be seeing me every class. I said yes, but then she was like "oh" sounding disappointed. Is she jealous? I was a good student in our previous course....but I'm not even taking this new course. |
Posted: 14 May 2019 04:44 PM PDT I told her "Hi Mrs. Rector how have you been? are you still at the middle school?" and she said "Hi James yes, I am still teaching at the middle school. I am good. how are you? Mrs. Rector" |
Question: How to cheer a friend up who’s probably gonna be going through a hard time.? Posted: 14 May 2019 04:24 PM PDT My friend has been to rehab before because was was caught really drunk twice by her parents. They sent her off to rehab of course. She spent a few months in rehab and got super sober doesn't drink anymore at all. But she got into smoking weed. She's been smoking and being a bit of a pothead and just last week her and her boyfriend had a little bit of a argument and I decided to ditch school with her cause she was crying in class and I didn't want to see her sad. She then gets a call from her mom and she explains what happened. Her mom being super caring then signs her up for therapy a few days later being worried mother. My friend went to that so called therapy today where she had to fill out that paper that is suppose to be confidential that goes like when's the last time you've drank or smoked, have you felt sad etc. She filled it out honestly thinking she wouldn't get in trouble since she believed it was confidential. Turns out her therapist told on her and now her mom is ignoring her and won't even look at her at the moment. And I just want to do something nice for her that would make her feel better other than texting her saying it's gonna be ok and stuff and being there for her. Like a little gift I can give her. |
Question: What does it mean when a guy wants pictures? Posted: 14 May 2019 03:46 PM PDT I told this guy I was going to leave pictures for him that I did for a photoshoot. He said he wants them I assuming he wants them to masturbate? Yes I know some guys show their guy friends but not all men do this. |
Question: Would you forgive someone who got you fired from your job? Posted: 14 May 2019 03:30 PM PDT I worked with this girl for 2 years, and we were on good terms. We mutually liked each other (to my knowledge). One day I said something that she took as sexual, but I never intended it to sound sexual at all. She told on me and got me fired. I wasn't really pissed at her, I was definitely disappointed in her though since all she had to do was tell me how she felt. I really liked this girl (as a coworker) and would have never expected that to happen. It was my favorite job ever, but you can always get another one. I just think it's kinda funny how that sounds like something that would piss someone off, but you gotta move on. |
Question: Should I reconnect with my friend? Posted: 14 May 2019 12:27 PM PDT Have known each other for about 18 years. As we got older he fell really far behind in life. He's not that smart and kind of lazy. His parents are carrying him at the age of 40. Example, he is taking 11 years to finish a 2 year degree program paid for by his parents. In contrast I became very wealthy standing on my own two feet. Finished my degrees in less than the normal time, etc. He used to be a good friend but he has changed since his wife and not for the better. I just view him as someone who is not able to be much of a friend (can come to me for solid advice but not vice versa). |
Question: How do I become friends with an ex-friend again? Posted: 14 May 2019 12:19 PM PDT Okay so recently, one of my friends named Ava *code name lol* started hanging out with other people. Her and I have been best friends since fourth grade, (we're now in 7th grade) and one day, just randomly, she started hanging out with new people. I just feel so replaced, y'know? Literally just one random day she pretty much abandoned me. So I'm wondering how to become friends with her again? I mean- she hangs out with a TON of people and every time I try to talk to her, she ignores me because she's trying to talk to her other friends. We only say, "Hi" when we pass by each other and that's really it. We went from best friends one day to literal strangers the next. It just randomly happened. And I feel like she cares about her other friends more now. Oof. So how can I become friends with her again? Or is it all over? O.O |
Question: How can I flirt with a girl friend? Posted: 14 May 2019 10:04 AM PDT We are friends, and I like her. So instead of pouring my heart out and making an *** of myself I want to start adding in flirtation in texts and in person. Any ideas? |
Posted: 14 May 2019 10:01 AM PDT My best friend and I live together. Last night we were drinking and playing video games together and then my friend suddenly said they were leaving to hang with another friend and drink. Idk I know we live together but isn't it wrong just to leave while we're hanging out? |

Question: Friend keeps me on social media - for what? Posted: 14 May 2019 08:24 AM PDT My friend of over 20 years and I haven't spoken since last November or so. We got into a spat about an incident that happened the year before that, so she hasn't lived down the past. I'd messaged her around late December happy holidays and happy New Year and she never wrote back to me, never corresponded with me and has since left me on all social media despite still being upset at me (and I apologized) for something that happened years ago. I'm not sure if she hopes to reconnect one day or is just being nosey - but if she's that upset to not answer me at this point, what is she waiting for - just cut off all connections. I chose to stay connected with her in hopes that she gets over the past and we can have a fun and meaningful friendship again, but that seems unlikely. Is she just being nosy at this point? I'm ready to cut her off since it has no substance... |
Question: Saying nice things to other people and genuinely meaning it hurts me ,why? Posted: 14 May 2019 08:12 AM PDT So I can say nice things to people. but if I was to tell someone your my friend or I really enjoy your company and me meaning it from my heart . Makes my heart hurt and makes me feel like I hope they don't take advantage. Anyone had any ideas why ? Or ever felt like this before ? |
Question: Can someone be bullied for something that they are not? Posted: 14 May 2019 07:42 AM PDT Can a straight person be bullied for being gay? Can a rich student be bullied for being poor? Can a good looking person be bullied for being ugly? |
Question: Friend problems? Help! (10 points)? Posted: 14 May 2019 07:31 AM PDT I have a friend and in fact she is my best friend. We've been friends for about seven years now. This year we both moved out for college so we don't see each other very often. However, we text every single day and we talk on the phone from time to time. The thing is that she calls me daily BUT I HATE talking on the phone so sometimes I don't answer. I don't have an explanation why but I just hate it. That's not the problem tho. The problem is that she constantly complains about me not calling her or picking up the phone every time she calls. She always says "I always call you and you never do!". She will get really mad and we've had a lot of fights because of this. I've never told her the truth that I don't like talking on the phone. I always used excuses with the most common one being that I'm really busy with college and work, which by the way, IS TRUE! She doesn't seem to understand and she keeps complaining and complaining and complaining! How do I deal with that situation? I don't feel comfortable telling her the truth because I know what her reaction will be. She'll say "oh wow! We've been friends forever and you don't want to talk on the phone with me?! Really?" and then she probably won't talk to me for a while. I'm SO done with it! If you could help, I'd appreciate it a lot. |
Posted: 14 May 2019 06:39 AM PDT He told me that if were had company we would both have better years to live and that he wants to be friend with me now... |
Posted: 14 May 2019 06:19 AM PDT I hang out with a friend a lot. One night he said I got to pay for uber back. He said that we always hang out at his place and I drink the beer has there, sometimes eats his food, and I'm always crashing there. The uber was like 10 dollars. Am I overreatcing? |
Question: What does I can be friends mean ? Posted: 14 May 2019 06:12 AM PDT I told a girl "lets be friends since of both of us are lonely and its difficult to find someone to marry" and she said "Yes I can be friends" |
Question: I HATE my cousin for never standing for me? Posted: 14 May 2019 05:51 AM PDT Growing up, I was extremely outcasted. For several years, I had no friends no social outlet and just no one to talk to in general. I was diagnosed with severe depression very young and as that piled up over time, the harder social interaction became and making friends became more difficult every year. And, of course, in an American public school setting, when you're known for standing alone, you attract bullies. These bullies were, as always, very popular. My cousin, who was and still is one of the most popular girls around, was close friends with everyone that bullied me. The boys attacked me physically, and the girls mentally. The boys would take my backpack and throw it in the trash almost weekly, the would try to beat me up if I didn't outrun them, sometimes they would touch me inappropriately, they would take my books and throw them in the mud and so on. This was all throughout school, young me didn't know how to tell adults about this because I was afraid. The girls would tell me to kill myself, throw used tampons at me and somehow get me in trouble for that? and they would threaten me. I know how bad this sounds, and believe me, I'll be 26 Friday and it still hurts now, but the worst part is, my cousin who just sat and watched could have stopped all of this from happening. She had authority over most of the people she knew. I hate her so much for not doing or saying anything. I don't want to hate her, but I do. What do I do? |
Question: How can i make a 15 year old boy pee his shorts? Posted: 14 May 2019 05:40 AM PDT We are friends and he had tried this once to me but i only got a really full bladder and didnt wet myself. We do this at home so no one would see it. Any ideas how it could work? |
Question: How can I get her to think of me more? Posted: 14 May 2019 05:07 AM PDT I'm a 22 year old guy. I've got a girl friend who I used to work with. I never asked her out because our work place doesn't allow dating. So we became friends and she used to text me all the time to see what I was doing, if I was working that day, etc. We would hang out at the mall, get ice cream, I would drive her around in my truck, etc. Anyway, a few months ago she left for another company and we drifted. I would text her and ask her to hang out and she said she was too ''busy'' and she would let me know. So she pretty much tied my hands. I stopped texting her. Recently, we reconnected on snapchat. We found out we both like to jog. So I invited her to jog with me and we seemed to hit it off. 2 weeks have gone by and no texts from her at all. I want her interest to raise but I can't think of anything I could have done to make her like me more. I always had a crush on her and I want to ask her on a date. But how am I supposed to do that if she doesn't even seem to care for me as a friend? I can't be initiating every time. How can I get her to think of me? And actually want to see me? And text me? It's like she doesn't see me. She used to like me so much. She would hug me while I was working. And hang on me. This chick liked me a lot. |
Question: Why does my friend treat me like dirt? Posted: 14 May 2019 03:36 AM PDT I've been friends with this girl for a year. I feel frustrated because she is copying everything I do, my hobbies, my interests, even my dating life. She messaged me as soon as she saw online that I took up dancing and asked me if she could join classes with me. I naturally said yes and since then we have been going to class together. I took photos of myself dancing in a studio and she messaged me asking how I got my photos done and she wants me to take photos of her dancing now in the exact same place and get the same photos. I put on social media that I was back into dating and she messaged me asking how I got dates and where I got them from and I told her I met them online so she joined the same dating site and then sent me pictures of the guys she was messaging. Whenever I go on dates she will message me and tell me that she's jealous and wants to hear all about them. When I do tell her on nights out she changes the subject quickly and then talks about guys who she is messaging. On a recent night out, she kept calling me an idiot for forgetting my ID, then when we got home she kept telling me I spilt my make up everywhere and wouldn't stop going on about it. When she drove me back home she made me feel bad about it and told me I was holding her up. The entire night she was belittling me and mocking my intelligence. I felt like everything I did or said she criticised. what is her problem with me? Why does she treat me like complete dirt? |

Question: Why is my friend acting like this? Advice please? Posted: 14 May 2019 12:55 AM PDT So me and him have been friends for 3 years now. He has told me a few times he liked me and even once he said he was in love with me. He said he wanted to be with me etc also but I just would prefer to be friends. However, I have met a guy last year and things have changed between me and my friend for the worst. He has always been trying to get me to break up with my partner and has told me to remain single for my own good. He also has literally just ghosted me too. He told me last week after I told him that I wanted to marry my partner that he will not be available to hang out anymore for most of the summer and is very busy lol I am not going to text him anymore as he is making up excuses to me when I ask him. I have not heard from him in two weeks now. Why is he acting like this? Is he just playing a game for attention from me? |
Question: Would you trust a guy who wants to start a friendship off with selfies? Posted: 13 May 2019 09:25 PM PDT He's my sisters friend only been around him at a few family and friend gatherings and he added himself on my snapchat at the last get together. He sends me silly filtered selfies but recently told me i'm beautiful and apparently I don't send enough selfies ? kind of a odd way to start "talking" to someone ? |

Question: Some kid gave me a juul? Posted: 13 May 2019 08:24 PM PDT This 16 y/o boy I've known for a long time has a severe nicotine addiction, and gave me a juul and pod for free. I never asked for one and I never wanted one. I never used it, I don't have a charger, and I don't want to get addicted. He asked for it back and I'm afraid he might be setting me up to get caught or something? I'm overreacting but it's better to be cautious with him. He's a bit strange... how should I give it back to him without getting caught by anyone else? |
Posted: 13 May 2019 07:34 PM PDT I am severely bullied by a woman in my school program. She has stolen from me (expensive and nonexpensive items), said rude things to me both in person and on the internet, turned a lot of people against me, and made up rumors about me. She makes my life a living hell and I don't know what to do. She graduates in a month and I am considering taking a leave of absense until she is gone, but is that the right thing to do? I think it may benefit me. I have tried to talk to her about being mature (we are in a trade school) but she is not going to be. I have anxiety attacka every time I have to go to school because of her. I am also getting married in about a month so I am super eager to get to that. Is a leave of absense right for me? |

Question: How do I stop my sisters annoying friend from coming over all the time? Posted: 13 May 2019 07:26 PM PDT Me and my sister house together since we go to the same Uni. She has this friend that comes over all the time and she's the most annoying person ever. She's basically a narcissist and tells us about her relationship problems and basically uses as her therapist but doesn't let us talk like if we try to talk about something else she waves it off and continues talking. It's the most pathetic thing I've ever seen. I've talked to my sister about it and she said she never invites her over, she basically just shows up and texts her "I'm outside". I would've told her to F off, but we've known her since we were kids and are basically like family friends so we don't want to be rude and tell her to F off. How do we politely stop her from coming? |

Question: What does this mean? Posted: 13 May 2019 05:57 PM PDT What does it mean when your guy friend gets all awkward when you talk about your fiance? What I mean is that whenever I bring him up, my friend kind of responds with a "let's not talk about this" tone. I thought I was delusional so I KEPT bringing my fiance up and he reacted the same way every time. He also has yet to acknowledge my engagement and gets all awkward when he looks at my engagement ring. By the way, this friend is happily married and has a family. He's 39, I'm 28. They've only been around each other a handful of times and whenever they're around each other, my friend is nice to him. What's funny is my fiance doesn't really like HIM that much because he's convinced I have a crush on my friend, all because I admitted that I used to. He's not a sleaze. We've been friends for 2 years and I've known him way longer than I've known my fiance. If he planned to cheat on his wife with me, he would've done it a long time ago. We've been alone numerous times and nothing's happened. |
Question: Please help.....I'm beyond sad.....? Posted: 13 May 2019 05:24 PM PDT My boyfriend is going through a very difficult time - family member dying of cancer and losing his dog 2 weeks ago - and he wrote this to me, "I m fine and am just needing space now and I simply can't move things ahead in a relationship as it's not fair to you or anyone. I have high anxiety and getting these texts only increases them. Please respect this." What does this mean? Does it mean he wants to break up? Please help. Thanks. |
Posted: 13 May 2019 04:37 PM PDT I have a friend (if that; more a business acquaintance) who has been having some health issues. She asked me to get her medical records, do her will and be her power of attorney. Not only is her husband and family not doing this, but I emailed copies of the documents to her and she responded, "don't use my other email addresses because my husband and secretary can check them." WTF? So now I'm just a business acquaintance/loose friend doing things like handling medical records and a will for her, but I'm told not to use an email address that her husband can check? Is this weird? Or beyond unacceptable? I'm a straight guy but I don't want to be doing anything to mess up someone's marriage! |
