Question: Is this wrong of my in-law to do to during the weekend of my wedding? Posted: 08 Sep 2015 09:42 PM PDT My nephew is turning one a week before my wedding. When I had set the date, i specifically asked to make sure it wouldn't interfere with his party. She said no because his birthday is a weekend day, so his party can be literally on his birthday. Cool. So i set the date i wanted, and because of many reasons, i cannot have picked any other day that month. Well, now the wedding and his party are coming up in october. She decides now to change his party to a week later - the day right after my wedding. She needs to have a minor surgery, and she decided to schedule it for the week that would originally have been his party. Therefore, wanting to switch the date. Im kind of .. Upset. For a lot of reasons. First, she had the option of when to have the procedure done and she should have waited, but didnt. Second, she put me in the position of choosing to spend my first day of marriage with my husband or my nephew. And not to mention the fact that we had planned on going out the entire night to celebrate, but now we will have to cut it short in order to be awake and functioning the next day for this party. Also, we were planning on leaving for our honeymoon that day but now we will have to push that back a day, too. Am I being selfish, or is she wrong to do this?
Question: How long does it take to get a ring resized? Posted: 08 Sep 2015 09:14 PM PDT I went with my boyfriend to pick my engagement ring on Sunday. I found the perfect one at zales. They said I need to take it down a quarter size. They don't do it on site and said they will overnight Tuesday because of the holiday Monday. How long does it normally take to get it back? We are waiting till it comes back to announce it and the wait is killing me! Lol
Question: How do I plan a surprise wedding for my parents in Hawaii? Posted: 08 Sep 2015 07:59 PM PDT My Mum and Step-Father have been engaged for around 8 years now and are taking me to hawaii in two weeks. I am only 14 years old with like $300. I really want to do something special for them since they have been through so much stress lately and are doing so much for me and my two other sisters. I really want to give something back to them and because they have been engaged for so long and we are going to an extremely unique location soon I thought, Why not officially get them married? Please help as I want to make it as special as I can at the best price :)

Question: Need Help finding a song to dance with my dad to at my wedding? Posted: 08 Sep 2015 02:12 PM PDT I love my father very much but we never had that father daughter relationships that are described in "Butterfly Kisses" or "I loved her First". My mom raised me and my dad moved out when I was 14. I thought about How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You) by James Taylor or even 'My Girl' I don't want anything too fast or upbeat but don't want a song that does not describe our relationship at all like Butterfly Kisses. Maybe I am being to picky, Any and all suggestions would be helpful!
Posted: 08 Sep 2015 09:39 AM PDT We were married for 8 years...I think she was cheating on me, that doesn't make any sense to me. She got engaged to an ex boyfriend, she dated this guy before me!

Question: Engagement Ring ...? Posted: 08 Sep 2015 08:43 AM PDT I am going to propose to, and therefore buy an engagement ring for, my girlfriend. I am young-ish (23) and make about $17,000 a year (not a lot, I know). I was thinking about somewhere between a 1/3 and 1/2 carat diamond ... I know 1/2 would be a lot better, but ... money. I've read that if you get something like a .43 rather than a .45 carat diamond, it will be significantly cheaper because cuts in .5 increments are more expensive? Is this true? And if so, how do you request that kind of carat without being completely transparent that you are trying to get a cheaper diamond? Any advice for me overall?
Question: What color should I get for my bridal party's bridesmaid/maid of honor robes? Posted: 08 Sep 2015 08:10 AM PDT Should I be the only one in a white robe and I'll get my bridal party a different color? Should I get a color to match my theme? Should I leave the robes plain? Get their initial? or get them labeled "bridesmaid" and "maid of honor"?
Question: What color should the bridesmaids robes be? Posted: 08 Sep 2015 08:08 AM PDT I am getting married next October. I want to order bridesmaids robes for my bridal party so they can wear robes on our way to the wedding hall for photos before getting dressed. 1) What color robes should I get? Should I match my theme? Should only my robe be white? Does the maid of honor wear a different color than the other girls? 2) Should I leave them plain without monogram or a label? or get "Bridesmaid" and "Maid of Honor" on the back?

Question: Lost my engagement ring? Posted: 08 Sep 2015 05:05 AM PDT Took my ring off to paint my sisters room got drunk and don't know where I put it. Just got engaged last week. Doubt if the ring got insurance on it because he's just that type of idiot so I don't know. Maybe it got hard up in the paint lol anyway my question is should o approach the fiancé about it or just go about my life until he eventually noticed it's gone? He's a man so he probably won't notice it and I'm sure it cost no more than 200 dollars

Question: Help! I can t enjoy my engagement!? Posted: 08 Sep 2015 02:01 AM PDT In March this year, after dating my boyfriend for 8 years he proposed to me - i of course said yes! As soon as i had a chance to have a proper look at the ring on my own, i realised it is the same ring as my Fiancés brother had brought for his girlfriend. This wouldn t normally be an issue but her ring was stolen in March the previous year and she was very upset that i received the same ring saying her ring has now been stolen twice and that im a copycat etc. I find this very upsetting as i had no idea what the ring was and we were friends before all this. Ive tried to talk to her about it but she said she doesn t want to discuss it but keeps putting out little digs on social media. I waited so long for this moment and she has ruined it for me. I never thought saying yes to the man of my dreams would create so much drama. Now 6 months on and i still cant wear my ring in front of her because im a sensitive, caring person and don t want to cause unnecessary drama. I want peace and to be able to look at the ring my Fiancé pick on his own for me without feeling bad and worrying about it all. Is there anything else I could do?
