He's a really caring guy and he's mature and communicative and I fell in love with him deeply. We have our issues: My parents don't like him because he doesn't try hard in school. I wish he tried harder, too, but I still love him all the same. He's never really met my friends. I've never met his family, even thought I've tried to suggest get-togethers. We have religious conflicts: he's Catholic and I think I'm agnostic. We never really saw each other much because my mom didn't like him: I usually only saw him once a week for two or three hours. And now with the quarantine I haven't seen him in two months. We never really talked about this, but since I just committed, I suggested that I was going to cut him off before college. He seemed pretty heartbroken. And now I just feel cruel. People say that I'm abusing him. He's with me willingly, knowing I don't want to be with him in the future. I'm with him because I love him. But I wouldn't marry him. He has a lot of growth left to do, and so do I. And I don't want to do long distance. I can't do that to him. The next morning was all good too, we were laying in bed and being affectionate and joking around. He even mentioned a barbecue thing his friend was throwing on that Friday and briefly mentioned that I should go with him. However, after that I noticed him becoming distant and after a couple days of not hearing from him, I checked in and asked if he was okay. He responded and told me that he was just going through some stuff and needed space, and had been distant with everyone. I understood this and just told him that it was perfectly fine and that if he needed anything just to let me know. Since then I've given him space. I know he actually was going through some stuff because of things he said on Twitter and his presence on social media hadn't been much after that.
