Question: Why are so few people friendly anymore? Posted: 29 May 2020 05:58 PM PDT I remember when it was common place for people to greet each other in passing or smile at strangers and greet them. Now, even neighbors don't even speak to each other, they avoid eye contact with strangers, etc etc. I am a 27 year old woman and I try to greet other women and most just ignore me or avoid eye contact with me. My husband says the same thing, he says men seem more friendly than women these days. Men will greet him and men will greet me but other women avoid eye contact with me and my husband usually |
Question: Friend forgot bday but asked for favor? Posted: 29 May 2020 01:24 PM PDT Before this pandemic, we have always celebrated our bdays together each year. Hers is only a month before mine. Even this year, I made an effort to surprise her with an e-gift but she didn't reciprocate anything...not even just a bday message. A week later after my bday, she asked how I was but still didn't bring it up. Now she is back asking if I can review her essay for her....how can someone be so rude? |
Question: Can giving someone a virus be considered "hurting" someone? Posted: 29 May 2020 11:24 AM PDT Just a quick question to see who is right here. Does "hurting" someone only come from physically assaulting them, or could you infect someone to hurt them? Could you not "hurt" someone financially? Could you not do something to someone, indirectly, to also hurt them? |
Question: Has a friend cut you off only to return many years later? Posted: 29 May 2020 10:24 AM PDT Long story short the pastor's family literally cut contact, avoided, ignored me, and blocked me without ever talking to me about what was bothering them; save for a verbal insult; needless to say it was painful. Still, for some weird reason I still love them though I know I shouldn't. I guess I just want to have hope that maybe one day they'll reach out to me to discuss things. i can only live my life in the meantime. |

Question: When a woman asks a guy if he wants water or soda? Posted: 29 May 2020 09:20 AM PDT Could she like him? That probably sounds like a silly question but I'm curious. I work in a tenant building. I delivered a tenant's mail in person. The apartment number was missing from it, I wrote the number down and gave it to her.So she invited me in for a drink of water or soda. I said no thanks but I appreciate it, I had more mail to hand out. She said you're so sweet and thanked me. |
Question: Why do my neighbors leave me out 1/2 the time? It’s odd ? Posted: 29 May 2020 08:26 AM PDT I live alone I'm 24 years old. I have 2 sets of neighbors we are all good friends. (Or so I thought) neighbor A & B hang out frequently. Neighbor B always has to tell me about it. They go out to eat, play cards, go shopping etc and never offer me an invite. Then, they'll randomly invite me over for a party out of the blue. Neighbor A took neighbor B out for her birthday never even asked me if I wanted to go or anything. I want to say something to them like why am I not being included then asked at random to attend their bbq or something. I'm kind of offended I wasn't invited out for our friends birthday. Should I say something or stop associating myself with them? |
Question: How to deal with my cousin who copies everything I do? Posted: 29 May 2020 07:16 AM PDT This might sound very petty, but I'm extremely annoyed. Ever since we were kids, my cousin's mom has made everything a competition between us. Same clothes, toys, etc. Now, my cousin seems to be obsessed with getting a one-up on me. Every guy I've ever dated to her knowledge, she's either dated or had sex with after me. She had a baby with a guy after I dated him a year prior. She admitted to me that she knew this when she started the same job I was working at & told me on my lunch break. She had no remorse & told me in a snarky way. They're not together and he's marrying someone else so I don't care much about it. Now she's a single mom all because she wanted to piss me off. I posted a picture on Snapchat with a particular hair style & specific shirt. In less than 24 hours, she posted a picture in the same exact hair style & shirt after viewing my story. I notice that she's started posing exactly like me too & talking about issues that I talk about in the same manner. I'm a nursing student in a BSN program that I am passionate about. Now, not only does she want a BSN but she wants to become a Nurse Practitioner (a step above my career.) I honestly don't care about her succeeding or doing better than me because it's not a competition to me. However, it's becoming so annoying & hard to ignore. It's like she uses me to determine her navigation through life. If I confront her, she will gaslight me & I'll look like I'm being mean. |

Question: Why is this guy so happy about thr fact that I play guitar? Posted: 29 May 2020 05:00 AM PDT When he found out he was all over the moon, like it was him playing, not me. He saw me with the guitar excercising in the corner of music class, when no one was in. He was like 'do you play guitar?' And I was like 'yeah but just... a bit not much, just a few chords' and then he sat there asking me to play something and his face was somehow, excited? Happy? I don't know why...so I played him some english pop songs and he guessed them all the beginning then he asked me to play something more upbeat so I played sone Spanish folk songs and he was so astonished though I am not so skilled and I just mess up and do something like, just introa or refrains, but to him it looks something special, though it clearly isn't. He then said to other ones that I play guitar very well but the others just rolled their eyes and didn't bothet that much, so I just told them 'it's not big deal just a few chords' and put my guitar back and went away. I felt really bad cause when I was with him it felt so perfect though I was a bit nervous, but with them I felt threathened and went away, they just don't like me. He kept referring to me as the guitar player and it was a really huge self esteem kick but I just don't know, is he exaggerating? He doesn't play any instrument, maybe that's why he is so overreacting about the guitar thing. |
Question: How can I make friends? Posted: 29 May 2020 04:58 AM PDT I'm a 15 years old boy from Italy. |
Question: Should I Give Up My Old Friends For My New Friends? Posted: 28 May 2020 09:21 PM PDT I dated a guy in my old friend group. He still contacts me daily. I found out through a mutual friend that he told our group some secrets I told him. I also found out he might not be honest with me about an opening on our neighborhood committee. Saying there is not an opening. However I was told there is an opening and they're considering someone else. I have another clique I've talked to in the past. They got back in contact with me. They want me to work with them. They know people in very high places. Should I tell my old friends to take a hike and start working and hanging out with my new friends? Or keep quiet and slowly fade out? Or wait to see how it works out with my new friends before leaving my old ones? |
Question: How do I get rid of my sister’s friend? Posted: 28 May 2020 07:36 PM PDT My sister has a friend that has been staying at our house since quarantine started becasue she "doesn't have somewhere to go?" (Pretty sure that's some bs but whatever). The point is, I hate her. Like, a lot. She's incredibly annoying, whiny, a total drama queen, and PAINFULLY stupid. All she does is sit on her *** all day and the come down to eat occasionally. And when she does, she takes the leftovers from the fridge, microwaves the ENTIRE CONTAINER, eats STRAIGHT FROM IT, and then PUTS IT BACK!? And then sometimes she won't eat until dinner and then she just whines about how hungry she is and about how she has a headache. I HATE her. I've survived with her here for this long, and I've had enough. I need to scare her away, something big enough that'll make her leave, but that won't get me in any trouble with my parents. Any ideas? |
Question: Being with my boyfriend makes me cry... how to get over it? Posted: 28 May 2020 03:44 PM PDT I just love him so much and the love he gives me just erases years of non life I have been living in, years of mistreatment. The other day they were playing hey there delilah on the tv and I was with him on the bed we were on our sides, facing rach other. At some point he looks into my eyes and doesn't look away. His eyes are green, his face reminds me of an angel, his hair remind me of summer and the few freckles he has on the face make him even more beautiful. The light of the sunset went directly in his eyes making those colors even more bright. At some point I started crying cause I realized I lived all those years without happiness and far from him. I cried due to that awareness. He just held me and kissed my head while the song kept playing and it made me feel so sad and at least happy cause I was in his arms. |
