Our biggest issue is what I believe is our intellectual compatibility. (I do not know how to write this without sounding like a pretentious asshole) In our entire relationship, we have never had a deep/philosophical conversation. I grew up in a household where we talked about politics, social issues, philosophy openly. My mom is a bioethicist, and when I was a child, she would bring me to academic seminars and lectures. I was taught by my parents to ask questions and think critically. My whole life, I loved reading (especially books of literary merit) and people watching. I currently attend one of the best universities in the country. I am majoring in sociology on the pre-law track. I met my boyfriend on tinder, and he is my complete opposite. He has openly admitted that in his entire school, he did not try to do well. He went to a school that did not assign any summer reading and had no Socratic seminars (which blew my mind). He told me that he was happy he got into art school because his GPA was "terrible." |

And things were just really going well. And then he ghosted me, and i confronted him about it.
