Posted: 11 May 2020 06:02 PM PDT Every time he would say something, she would laugh but every time I said something nobody would laugh and it would turn awkward. My friend wasn't even being THAT funny, and I wasn't saying anything weird or awkward but my friend would rag on me and she would laugh at that. I felt uncomfortable and annoyed. |

Posted: 11 May 2020 12:56 PM PDT How many times in a relationship when you break up and get back together is too many? We hadn't broken up for months before this but it's been maybe 3 or 4 times |
Question: I get really sad around my birthday and I’m not even middle age? Posted: 11 May 2020 10:55 AM PDT I tried to find an answer why I feel so awful and alone around my birthday, why I feel like a failure. I looked it up and everything was for people in their late 20s, 30,40s but I'm not even old enough to vote. Why do I feel like I already missed the best days of my life |
Question: I try to make people happy and smile, but everyone thinks I am annoying? Posted: 11 May 2020 10:24 AM PDT At school, it's pretty boring, so I try to make people happy. But they either don't care, or tell me to shut up. And it's getting to me. What if my EXISTENCE is annoying? So, I just shut up as they tell me too. But suddenly, when I am quiet, everyone is like "Oh! Izzy, what's wrong?" Like...nothing is wrong, I am being quiet like YOU told me to. |
Posted: 11 May 2020 10:23 AM PDT I checked in on a close friend to see how he's doing with the pandemic and all. I can tell - simply via a few texts - that something is wrong without any indication about it. Other than asking nicely how things are, I haven't gained an understanding of *what* is wrong, but he's knew I was checking on his wellbeing. Normally he also shares these types of things with me when things aren't well (e.g. relationship), so this is strange and seemingly not good.... Of course, I have the desire to help, but I'm not going to ask anything more direct. Is it worth just giving space? Or asking in a different way if I can help with whatever is going on? |
Question: My friend Tom might betray me? Posted: 11 May 2020 09:57 AM PDT Hi all, me and my friend Tom we're talking about eating wild animals and other bro stuff but then see said that he thought my cat looked delictable? Should I be nervous he's going to backstab me? I hope he doesn't see this on yahoo answers... |
Question: Why does a fake apology/remorse hurt more than getting none? Posted: 11 May 2020 09:20 AM PDT I've noticed this. Many (even my bf) get more hurt or upset by this. He finds a fake apology/remorse worse than getting none at all. Shouldn't it be good enough the person is trying to keep the peace even if it's insincere? At least they said sorry... better than nothing. |
Posted: 11 May 2020 08:34 AM PDT I told my nonbinary friend on a group chat that I sometimes mess up and call them "she" but I'm trying to fix it. My other friend DMed me and was super mad that I said that, claiming that I was super disrespectful. She continued to write a whole speech about how our friend has not been female for three years. They're only one of two of my friends that are nonbinary, and the lingo doesn't come naturally to me. Plus, the nonbinary friend has changed their name five times and their gender three times. Am I supposed to keep up with that seamlessly? I tried to tell my other friend that, but she continued to be condescending and talk to me like a child. She told me that I should be more considerate of what I say, and tried to make the argument that "she doesn't want to see anyone feel discomforted because of others." I said "you're discomforting me right now!" Which I think was a valid point. I apologized to her, but she KEPT GOING! I decided just not answer after that. Was she right to call me out like that, or was it not her place to tell me what I said was, in her opinion, inappropriate and rude? |
Posted: 11 May 2020 07:04 AM PDT Do the hot guys like you see in Abercrombie ads actually wear makeup? Some other girl told me that I shouldn't think theyre hot and the those guys actually wear makeup. Guys don't wear makeup as far as I know? WTH? Do they really wear makeup? How can what she said be true? Is she being just a typical "mean girl" and messing with me because she thinks the guys are hot too? |
Question: Is what she wants me to do possible? Posted: 11 May 2020 06:41 AM PDT My friend Wanda is a recent divorcee. She is depressed because of the divorce. She told me she went on dates with 2 different men and the results were the same. They thought since she was a divorcee she would be eager for sex. All they wanted to do was get in her pants. She said "All I want is a good friend that I can go places with and have some fun". "Would you be that friend"? "Nothing romantic". I like to help people when I can but I am not sure I can do what she wants. Is it possible that a guy can be just a good friend to girl and go places and have fun with her and nothing romantic between them? I am afraid if I do what she wants, the outcome will not be what she wants. I don't want to cause her any problems. ADVICE PLEASE. |
Posted: 11 May 2020 04:05 AM PDT I was hanging out with my friend Jess, having a good time, & then her friend Liz stopped by. This was my first time meeting Liz, & Jess told me they were best friends & she was really nice. While we were hanging out I felt left out & like a 3rd wheel, but maybe I was reading too much into it. Eventually Liz started talking about how she had had some work done on her car. She turned to Jess & said, "Oh, I had my windows tinted, come look!" & they ran outside to look at Liz's car & left me sitting there. They didn't even acknowledge me, like "hey we'll be right back." They just bolted outside & left me sitting there. They were outside for awhile, & never at any point did either of them come inside & say, "hey, come outside with us!" I just awkwardly stayed inside because I was clearly not wanted there. Eventually they came back inside & continued talking as if nothing happened. I felt awkward & left out the entire night. Were they being rude? I don't typically feel this way when hanging out with others, its usually easy for me to make conversation & feel included. But the whole night they kept doing subtle things making me feel excluded, especially when they ran outside to look at Liz's car. When I hang out with multiple people I try to include everybody & make conversation with everyone so no one feels left out. None of this is a huge deal, I was just uncomfortable & I'm wondering if they were being rude |
Question: Coronavirus Taught Me A Lesson? Posted: 11 May 2020 03:56 AM PDT We don't need relationships, friends, or anything too social really. We can survive by ourselves and get over being alone. It's been pretty nice quarantining. |
Question: 17 and just had a fight with my step dad? Posted: 11 May 2020 02:11 AM PDT My step dad had been married to my mom for 3 years. We have a bad relationship because he tries to dictate my life by telling me stuff like I cant hang out because he doesnt know my friends. Hes hit me and my mom in the past, but when I was 15, so I was much smaller. He searched my room when I went to my friends house anyways and found my dab pen. I got home and we got in an argument and he slapped me in the face, so I swung at him and it turned into a fight. I knocked him out and left the house and havent been back since. Im staying with my friend whos 19 and lives on his own. My step dads a firefighter, so im worried hes gonna be questioned about the bruises when he goes to work tomorrow. Im thinking about living with my friend and him rent for it. What should I do? |
Posted: 11 May 2020 01:07 AM PDT So long story short, I was force to do a job that no one likes and I in a joke manner blame my friend for tossing me in there. She didn't like it and had me banned from the group. Just like that. All over in a min. Any way to deal with this? I tried to say sorry but was cut off by everything. |
Question: I sent the wrong picture to my high school teacher?!? Posted: 10 May 2020 11:29 PM PDT She texts about online work and school info through Remind. I sent her a picture of my weed when it was for my friend. I didn't look twice before checking. It's 2 in the morning so hopefully she's asleep and hasn't seen it. What do I do now? |
Question: Why did she do this? Posted: 10 May 2020 06:49 PM PDT When I was in middle school I was laying down on a bed mat under a sleeping bag and the teacher aid pretended to sit on me like she just put her butt on me she didn't actually sit on me |
