As I'm seeing people do it during the current pandemic, which of course is understandable given the restrictions, I remembered that some people did this years before coronavirus was even a thing. And I'm sure people will continue to do this well after the pandemic subsided. Why do people elope and celebrate later even without a health crisis? 

I am 13 and I want to get married with the only guy who has ever loved me and taken care of me since I was a child. He is 17 and will soon be 18. He doesn't want to meet me anymore since his had caught us kissing and him being on top of me. He was hit and cried a lot, and said himself he deserved. I comforted him in my arms and told him it wa my fault. Since then he never spoke to me again. 8 years of being best friends, like siblings (he took care of e since I was a kid), and he wants to give up on us. But I want to marry him anyway. What can we do? At 14 will it be possible? I want to marry him with documents and legally. So we are bride and groom.

I live away from family and have never gotten to experience going to a wedding. We've gotten invites before, but not afford the traveling expenses or new clothes to go to it. Everyone seems to have been to one but me and they all can't believe I've never been to one. They act like it's something everyone has experienced in their lives by the time their teens are over. Is it? While i've only seen weddings on TV, I've never really cared or seen it as such a big deal that Ive never been to one, I can't help but feel really left out like I'm missing out on a great experience or something. Is it really that memorable and special?
