Posted: 21 May 2020 05:51 PM PDT It's been 4 months and it's been hard to get over. She was a narcissist. She hurt me in many ways. Gaslighting, lying, manipulating, etc. I never got to say what I really wanted to say or defend myself because if I defended myself she'd get mad. |

Posted: 21 May 2020 05:12 PM PDT I'm happy I moved because I want to live close to my Mom, we're very close. But we moved to this little country town where the only thing close is a Sonic and a Wal Mart and most people in town are extremely country including my coworkers and I just feel like I don't fit in. I miss Texas so much where I grew up, but I want to live by my Mom. She moved back to Missouri to live by her brothers. How can I feel better about living somewhere totally new? |

Question: How do you handle people like this? ? Posted: 21 May 2020 02:07 PM PDT People that if you make mad, or aggravate them or antagonize them they would try to hurt you. People that would jump on you big time If you said any little thing out of the way, hypersensitive is how they are. If you make them slightly angry they would do something to you, like if you call them out they would either violently yell at you or get physically violent at worst. They proclaim that this is the way they are and that is just their personality. They might be okay with you up front but if you make them mad or offend them oh now you are gonna get it. You know what I'm talking about, how do you deal with people like this? |
Question: Can I get my friend back? Posted: 21 May 2020 02:00 PM PDT So a few months ago I asked a girl out and she ghosts me and tells me she was with someone else 2 weeks later. Yeah I was hurt but so what. I regret asking her out. Not being mean but we were friends and she introduced me to her friends. The thing is I have no friends. She doesn't know that but she will think I'm a loser if she did. I want her as a friend and only a friend. I don't care about getting a girlfriend now all I want is good friends. Of course I blew it when I asked her out. I'm not kidding but that was probably the biggest regret of my life!! If I didn't we would probably still be friends and I may have become closer to her other friends. Am I going to be a loner forever? I guess I loved her and asked her out because she gave me something that I have never gotten before. I with I could thank her for being a friend to me. And she make me feel awesome. She said we could stay friends but she doesn't really answer my messages or want to hangout. I really don't have romantic feelings for her. I want the friendship back. Just any friends. What can I do? |
Question: How can I get to know my friend better? Posted: 21 May 2020 01:31 PM PDT I'm a 22 year old guy. I'm online friends with a 17 year old girl. She lives in my city, and I added her online because we had friends in common on Snapchat. Anyhow, I've never met her in person. We've been online friends since January. We kinda casually go back and fourth on Snapchat, mostly replying to each other's post. I'm not quite ready to ask her if she wants to meet in person, I'd like to get there, but right now I really enjoy talking to her. I would like to nurture this friendship and maybe meet her in person one day. Any advice for the situation as a whole? We like to send each other selfies and posts about our day. |
Question: When does an opposite gender friendship become inappropriate? Posted: 21 May 2020 11:34 AM PDT My boyfriend has a best friend who is a female and who is married. I didn't see anything wrong with it until he would mention that she would say that if him and I were to date and I didn't like their friendship then she'd lose him as a friend. She'll ask him about us but like we agreed he only states him and I are friends. We all work together and we've chosen not to make our relationship public at work in order to avoid any misunderstandings. We both value our careers and have been able to keep church and state separate. She has asked him to go running with her because her husband won't go with her, to which he said no to. Because that's our thing, it's why he told me he told her no. She gave him a birthday card which stated, "thank you for yesterday, I felt so safe in your arms" and signed it "Love, C". I get caring about friends but some of these things feel like she is crossing the line. I know everyone has a different perspective and I don't want to think something that it's not. |

Posted: 21 May 2020 09:26 AM PDT I don't call my best friend because I'm worried that im being clingy or something, they always call me and I kind of jokingly talked about it and they said something along the lines of 'oh so thats why you never call me I was a bit worried about it' They refer to me as their best friend often but I don't. I obviously think of them the same way but am worried about saying it because of a person I was friends with a while ago. Do I explain that I'm a social wreck do I just try and not think about it idk. I just really don't want to hurt them. Also what if they just get sick of me being a disaster and don't consider me as good a friend or something idk am I just being paranoid again or what like help, please. |
Question: Can I get in trouble if my friends friend lied that i sexted her..because i didn’t ? Posted: 21 May 2020 07:54 AM PDT My friends friend hacked into my friends snapchat account. After that she asked if i wanted to send dirty pictures and I ignored it and no, i did NOT send any pictures. Then what happens next is she tells my friend that i sexted her which is false. And now here i am worried about getting in trouble for something i didn't do. |

Question: Do you consider this a friend? Posted: 21 May 2020 07:46 AM PDT My friend and I talk a lot at work, we are co workers, she knows I like another co worker. My friend told me how upset she was about her hair color and not what she wanted. That's all she talked about. We weren't talking when I was heading to break. I went through the co worker I like line to check out at the register. I want to overcome my shyness with him. I made small talk. My friend interrupted to talk about her hair color to me some more. She knows I like him. Idk if she's doing it cause she's jealous or too self centered. I ignored her when She interrupted my small talk with him. Is she being good friend by interrupted my small talk with him knowing I like him or is she being a bad friend? |
Question: Friend is getting upset over flowers/death what do I SAY here? Posted: 21 May 2020 07:01 AM PDT Our best friends mom died suddenly of a heart attack. A group of us (7 of us) are all chipping in to get her flowers for the funeral since she can only have a few people at the funeral due to Covid-19. Our one friend is being EXTREMELY difficult and wants us to get something different, more expensive, she doesn't like what everyone else agreed upon, keeps sending photos of other things. What can I SAY to her? We've already picked the flowers out and plan to order them tonight. It's really annoying how big of a deal she's making about what we send to her. I'm afraid to say anything because she's a VERY confrontational person. Should I just not include her? |
Question: Why is my roommate so weird about knowing when I will be home? Posted: 21 May 2020 06:05 AM PDT So I live with my best friend. We have been best friends since 7th grade and we are both 26 now. We do not have significant others and we don't really have friends over because our place is so small. But the 3 years I have lived with her she continues to be very weird about knowing when I will be home. If I have an appointment she wants to know when it will be done, if I am visiting family she wants to know if I am going to spend the night with them and what day I will be coming back specifically. And its not once in a while it is EVERY TIME. She always will ask multiple times if I do not give a clear timeline. I also tell her I will shoot her a text on my way home, but it is so weird to me that she is so persistent. When I know for a fact she is just at home watching tv. |

Question: How can I get some friends? Posted: 21 May 2020 05:17 AM PDT I don't really have good friends and the ones I have I guess are losers they never shower and ask me for money and break my stuff. I want loyal friends people who I can look forward to hangout with. Don't say go to a club I don't really like that. I joined a gym and go everyday for like 2 years and nothing. Question: Feel boyfriend's friends and family take advantage of us? Posted: 20 May 2020 11:21 PM PDT I feel like my home isnt an actual home, but a revolving door for his homeless friends & siblings. None of the ppl he has allowed over have pitched in whatsoever(cleaning, groceries, toiletries, bills). His friends/family bring friends and girlfriends over and they make messes, eat up groceries, use up toiletries, etc. I have never been one to like a lot of company, but I have tried to be understanding. His most recent guest is a long time friend. I guess this friend has a troubled past and finally found a job that requires him to work until 11. This friend stays in his grandparents basement and they lock the doors at 8pm. If he isnt home by that time, hes locked out. This friend stayed at our house for 3 months straight. His friend got a gf & stayed at her house for a little over a month. They broke up and he is now back on our couch. I have yet to see him search for an apartment of his own. I had told my boyfriend that he should at least help around financially or with groceries if he is going to live here. Boyfriend claims its not necessary because his friend doesnt live here. He wants us to relocate across the country but is already talking about letting siblings live with us so they can relocate and find a place too. Letting ppl stay has caused extra stress on top of everything else we have going on and has caused a miscarriage in the past from all of the stress. He has told me in the past that he feels like they wont care for him anymore if he says no |

Question: 10 fast points! Should I be concerned about him? Posted: 20 May 2020 08:57 PM PDT The other day my husbands friends came over he always avoids looking at me but when he does he gets nervous. But jumping forward he went into my bathroom twice and took longer than usual. I noticed I forgot to but my bra away after the fact. Later that night he was looking for his phone and went back to in the bathroom and started was patting up my bra and sweater that was hanging in the hook. He did not know I could see him at first but I did. So he looked quiet and uncomfortable after. Do u think its concerning or was he just confused? Why would his phone be there anyway? |
Posted: 20 May 2020 06:59 PM PDT Typically , after awhile ( several weeks or months) I unfriend those people who never comment , like , or share my content. I don't understand why people send add requests , but then never talk. If I have let's say 100 friends on Facebook , is it typical for only 12 out of those 100 people to actually interact with me ? |
Question: Can't deal with this.. friend died and feel responsible? Posted: 20 May 2020 05:53 PM PDT my best friend of 11 years just committed suicide. I'm absolutely heartbroken and feel sick to my stomach - I haven't eaten or left my room and I'm starting to have thoughts of harming myself even tho I know I should not. he was my BEST friend and like a brother to me. even though we don't live in same state anymore, i considered him to still be my best friend. we talked every day or so. he was the most caring genuine guy I have ever met. he always seemed so happy. he loved life. that's why his death is especially surprising to me. a couple months ago he came out as bi. (totally fine with that - didn't change friendship.) then he told me he thought I was attractive. I smiled, but didn't realize that he was actually serious like in a I want to date u way.. I can't remember exactly how it went, but he broke down a little over FaceTime and said he had feelings for me. he also told my older sister that he liked me. anyway, I made it clear that I wanted to stay good friends and I kindly told him I had a girlfriend. we still talked after that awkward chat but I it wasn't the same. I even cried about it not being the same. I checked in on him extra when he started posting sad quotes on his insta. I kept asking him what was wrong. I know his grandparents were in poor health and he wasn't getting along with his uncle, but I didn't know he was suicidal. then one day I got the news and I can't go on. he didn't say goodbye or anything. nothing. I feel so guilty and empty. I have suicidal dreams which is so weird I can't even describe. like sometimes I can't tell if I am taking pills in real life. I obviously need help, and unfortunately started harming and now can't stop. |

Question: Would you pursue a girl who's bitter in nature? ? Posted: 20 May 2020 03:07 PM PDT I've met this girl on chat about 5 months ago and seems like someone broke her heart quite some time ago like 5 years and she's bitter. I'm from Canada 31M, my parents are in US and she's from the US 28F. I've gave her my number but she never intiated a conversation and when I told her I'll be coming to that states to visit her, she tells me don't bother wasting your time find someone else. She's a smart girl a RN and pursuing further education to become a NP. She tells me she doesn't want a relationship or something long term. She even said to me she can't carry babies and wants me to find someone else and wants to remain single for the rest of her life and focus her life on her career. She gets jealous of her cousin sister who's getting married to a guy she known for 8+ yrs and she can have her own kid. She complains of why she didn't get someone who she liked for 6 years she's so hung up on 1 guy. I messaged her, I'll be here for you baby, you are a true soul person..her reply was whatever I hate you, after that I replied to her I hate myself, she said why? I replied I hate myself because you hate me. Is it possible to change a person? Should I still pursue her? |
Question: Is it right for a friend to force me into a contest? Posted: 20 May 2020 01:09 PM PDT I said yes but then had second thoughts & she made me feel bad so I entered... but I really don't want to anymore...my friend is mad at me and said that we're doing this I'm a bad friend I know...I think I don't want any friends or family anymore...I just want to be left alone |

Question: Is there a glitch on Snapchat that deletes/blocks friends? Posted: 20 May 2020 08:38 AM PDT I have this friend on Snapchat and she talks to me almost every day and then blocks me after the conversation has ended. Basically we'll be talking for like an hour or two, then she'll block me, and in the next day or two she'll add me back and say her app is glitching ...just for her to block me again and add me back again. If she doesn't want to talk that's fine just say it and we'll go our separate ways and never have to talk but it looks like she purposely blocking and adding me back. I'm almost 100% sure there isn't a glitch but what's the point of blocking me and then adding me back? |
Question: Why is it so hard to find people my age that share my own interests? Posted: 20 May 2020 08:30 AM PDT Hello. I am a single 38 year old male. I don't have hardly any friends at all. I like to talk to people my age that share my own interests. My interests are sports, American History, and attending church regularly. What advice can you give me? Thank you. |
Question: Is it worth staying friends? Posted: 20 May 2020 08:29 AM PDT I have this one friend who's been kind of "off" if you know what I mean. We have our good days as friends, but sometimes she's just in a bad mood and I find myself not caring about our friendship. Before lockdown, she would come over to my house to hang out and whenever my parents greeted her, she would kind of act disgusted (might be too strong a word) around my dad. My dad was wearing a T-shirt and he has tattoos on his arms. She also seems jealous of my parents, because hers are going through a divorce and she calls mine "young" and "happy" and "perfect." Idk, but it's weird. Is she trying to be nice? Is she taking her frustration out on me? Help! Also, we were once playing an assumption game with a few friends and she announces that she assumed my dad drives a motor cycle and is a reckless driver. Everyone laughed (in kind of a nice way bc it's such a weird thing to say), but I was kind of offended. Yes, my dad has a lot of tattoos, but he's actually super introverted(ish), patient, smart, athletic, so on. I can tell that my mom and him are very much in love, and she doesn't mind his tattoos.. she kind of likes them, though she has none herself and no interest in getting them.Is it worth staying friends with her? We have't really texted and facetimed during quarantine. Also, if my Dad is 43 and Mom is 44, and I'm 14/15, are they young? My oldest sibling is 19. Why do ppl always (well sometimes) associate tattoos with bad things..? |

Question: How to help a friend? Posted: 20 May 2020 06:47 AM PDT I've had a friend for at least 10 years now and two years ago his mom passed away due to cancer. Since that day his behavior is strange and sometimes he says and does things to attract as much attention as possible, this happens often especially when we' re with a bigger group of friends and especially if there are females. Has anyone had a situation like mine before? And if so how did you approach it? |
Question: How to make more friends? Posted: 20 May 2020 06:43 AM PDT I'm in an industry where I've encountered a lot of fake people in my life. It's sad because I never have anyone who genuinely cares about me to hangout with or ask how I'm doing. I've always been used for my connections or to get taken advantage of. I figured now that it's best to find friends at my own level because they wouldn't need anything from me, we are all at the top pretty much. Am I wrong? It's kind of worked. Also, what might be wrong with me that my old/friends don't bother to invite me out? I always ask but then they're always with their other group/s of friends. I care about others very much yet I seem to be the one they don't care about. It's always been that way. Is it because I don't drink or do drugs? Why is making real friends so difficult? I'm moving to a new city for school and I just want to meet new people I can build my trust in to have out there. I try not to relying my feelings/expression on others anymore to be emotionally independent but it feels good to have people in your life. That's how you make memories. |
Posted: 20 May 2020 01:55 AM PDT So I'm friends with a singer and I'm in her fan club. She is not a big star like ariana grande, she is a singer who is only known in the community. I have a crush on her but I try to hide it but it's hard and sometimes I feel like I reveal it unintentionally sometimes. Her birthday was 2 weeks ago and during her birthday, I made a post in her fan club dedicating this song to her named "somebody's baby" by jackson browne. My post got over 100 likes, 139 to be exact. She even liked the post and posted a comment saying "thank you" with a heart symbol. Ever since then she started liking a lot of my posts. I really like that she is liking a lot of my posts as it makes me feel good but I wonder if this song somehow made her fall for me. Does it sound like this song made her fall for me? What kind of message does this song send to her? Please help me figure this out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umoPLztzZxw |

Question: Do you ever hope a former friend who cut you off will return someday? Posted: 19 May 2020 11:51 PM PDT Long story short the pastor's family literally cut contact, avoided, ignored me, and blocked me without ever talking to me about what was bothering them; save for a verbal insult; needless to say it was painful. Still, for some weird reason I still love them though I know I shouldn't. I guess I just want to have hope that maybe one day they'll reach out to me to discuss things. i can only live my life in the meantime. |
Question: What should I do without my friends? Posted: 19 May 2020 11:33 PM PDT I usually talk to one person all the time and right now our sleeping schedules are not the same so I am alone mostly, but they are leaving soon so I can't do anything with them in a month. I am not sure what to do. I spend all the time I am alone just in my bed or if I am on my pc I play a game for like 10 minutes and get bored because my favorite person isn't there with me. |

Question: Is my best friend catching feelings for me ?? ? Posted: 19 May 2020 09:09 PM PDT I have a best friend i love her so much we tell each other everything. And were both girls. One day me and my best friend was playing video games she then suddenly touched my vagina i liked it but didn't make a big deal out of it. She then told me come on touch her vagina back she was horny and i listened i did it. Then suddenly she starts kissing me and it turned into us fingering and licking each other. Once we got done she talked to me like nothing never happen as best friends should. Guess what now every time my best friend sees me she wants to do sexual activities with me non-stop i told her it will mess up our friendship. She tells me we will always be best friends. One day she even told me she have a little feelings for me but she wants to remain best friends. She even told me that we can please each other from time to time and that i really please her i sometimes tell her to stop but she always says things like i can't help it i have a nice body and that i taste good. What to do help ? I like it but i feel its wrong because were best friends and i don't won't us to lose our close bond. |

Question: Should I text friend that ghosted me? Posted: 19 May 2020 06:32 PM PDT I am high risk for covid so I haven't left my house since march. My friend invited me to go camping and I declined because I am busy. She then blew up on me saying she's done trying and that our friendship feels forced. I tried explaining that I am high risk but she wasn't buying it. I told her she's kind of a bad friend for getting mad at me for not going out and parting during a pandemic and she said I'm immature. We were in the middle of texting about this when she stopped replying and she's never gotten back to me since. Given her response to the situation, I don't want to be her friend anymore. But I also wish I could text her anything. I wish she wouldn't text me anything. Since we had been best friends for years, I thought I deserved at least a text or anything. But she ghosted me. I wish I could tell her it's flat our mean to ghost someone you've been friends with for years but I'm not sure if I should. I'm really hurting and wish she could know how I feel but is it even worth it to tell her? I personally would like to tell her that I do not wish to be friends anymore because someone who was a friend deserves at least that but yeah. Should I text her? What should I say? Should I not? All answers appreciated. |
