When I was in middle school I was laying down on a bed mat under a sleeping bag and the teacher aid pretended to sit on me she didn't actually sit on me she just kind of squatted her butt on me. Why?

One of my closest friends has abusive parents, and i'm so worried for her. I want to be a good friend and i'm not sure whether telling someone is the right choice or not? If her parents were to find out that she told anyone, they would do such imaginable things and she would most likely be separated from them, which would be for the best, but she would never forgive me for telling anyone. Advice please <3

my dad told me that he's my parent not my friend and idk how to feel about it. i wish i was closer to my parents but unfortunately they're extremely old school and boomers and just don't understand anything. they go straight to punishment as an answer to a problem. what are the pros and cons to being a friend of your child and is it better to be their friend?

I have a best friend who's dealing with an alcoholic boyfriend.  She's the only one here can turn to. She's kick him out and multiple times felt bad and allowed him back in her life only to be pissed off again and do it right over again.  This dude isn't violent towards her but he tends to be aggressive about what he wants to get "alcohol". He's never laid a hand on her thank God! But she has no one who could help her. Family only wants to enable him.  Friends as well. She doesn't have enough money for the places he could get help from.  Im thinking there has to be success stories of people who are singling handing this type of situation. She works and dosn't have a bunch of time to watch him like a 12 yr. He's about 40 yrs old or so. Is there a chat place who can help?  

What's goin on here? Am I wrong? Obviously my wife can do what she want, but to me no teenage girl should be cool being toppless sitting around the house in front of any man let alone her step father.. What am I missing here?? I'm supposed to just ignore this and go about my day?

I babysit a neighbor kid sometimes. for the longest time i had a crush on this woman Emily from work.  She was 35 and im 24,  we used to talk all the time at work but she was married with kids and I obviously respect that.  I felt  like we began getting closer and closer at work,  she would always stare at me and she would blush every time we talked and I could feel a connection every time we talked. She laughed with me the time,  we knew eachother 2 years Emily confessed to one of my best friends that she was falling for me,  she mentioned how I'm an amazing guy and cares alot for me,  but I'm too young plus she's happily married.  she told my friend to never tell me the truth so i  dont get my hopes up    later on at work there was a lot of drama because everyone thought me and Emily were having an affair.   everyone kept talking about about us and making rumors.   rumours began getting carried away, my manager told me to stop talking to Emily but Emily would still talk to me behind everyone's back. I knew Emily was having drama with 2 other coworkers.. Eventually i noticed  Emily  would give me the cold shoulder,  one day for her birthday I gave her a gift card and she told my manager about the gift card.  My manager got mad and moved me to a different department far way from her...  two weeks later she quit and blocked me on facebook. Emily  returned in February after being gone for one year,   she doesn't look me in the eyes and its like i dont exesit.   Why did she chage with me? Does she hate me?

This guy and myself were office mates for several months. I always tried to keep an open mind and be as friendly as I could, but I never particularly enjoyed having him as an office mate to be honest. He would laugh nervously at things I said at odd times, ask some of the same questions repeatedly even after I had already answered them, was kind of clingy/needy, and didn't take no for an answer even if you were polite. Not long before we all started staying home, he was moved to another office (still on the same team), and I was hopeful maybe we wouldn't cross paths as much, but he would always come to see me still. He'd always say, "my man Jack," and I couldn't be rude but I really didn't see him that way. When the stay at home orders began, he was being VERY needy, and always had to do skype calls with me. I was pretty annoyed, but had to be as patient and kind as possible. I wish him all the best and there are a lot of really admirable things about him, but he just gets on my nerves.

Lately, my boyfriend has been really irritating me. I know some of my feelings are derived from stress due to staying in the house and covid but some are also valid. I do all the cooking and cleaning and recently I stopped doing bother because I feel he didn't appreciate it. If I wash all our loads of clothes, why not help me fold them? That's just an example. I understand that he is trying to start a business and so am I but he acts as if he never has time for me. Today, he told me he was going to another city, 2 hours away, to pick up his friend and bring him back to our city so they can hang and he will take him back in a few days. I got upset because he never has time to do things with me and complains about his busy schedule but you have the time to drive back and forth 4 TIMES in order to see a friend?. I am really conflicted and don't want to make the wrong decision. What are your thoughts? Am I over thinking things, should I not say anything? 

Due to the coronavirus I can't drive for Uber anymore and plus my purse was stolen. I have to be out and I recently visited my best friend. She just brought a home and it's just her and her daughter their. I asked her could I live with her until I get on my feet and she ignored me? What should I do? I have two kids and their father is no help. I could go live with my mom but it's only a one bedroom and we would be on top of each other. My friend has two extra rooms. Any advice?

I swear I am not being a stalker. This lady that lived with me owes me a huge chunk of money. I also think think she changed her number and it's been almost going on 3 weeks. I am a 28 year old female and I made a new friend just a couple of months ago and she used to be a drug addict and when I talk to her she is all over the place. Like when she talks about something I think what are you talking about? Is that from her drug use? She is a really sweet person though and she has been clean since January of this year 

I have a friend who never invites me to hang out with the group of friends we share. The only time she asks me to hang out is to party I've expressed how that annoys me but no big deal. Yesterday, she asked me if I could go camping and I was surprised. I unfortunately am busy though and had to decline. She then blew up on me and said she stopped trying to be my friend ling ago becahse I don't want to hang (which I do! She just never invites me). She started bragging about how everyone else is a way better friend than me because I haven't asked her lately to hang out and that I should put in more effort. The only reason. I haven't been asking her to go out is because I am extremely high risk (covid). I haven't seen any of my friends since March. I told her if she asked me to do something other than party I Could participate but she never does. She's now claiming I should have invited myself to go hiking and stuff whenever I saw they were going without me. I then tried to say I think she hasn't been a good friend lately and she sent a bunch of laughing faces and called me immature. I just wanted to have a conversation but she's being so mean and telling me it's not her job to include me. Is this friendship even worth it? I feel that her laughing at me for thinking she's a bad friend is just rude and means she clearly doesn't value our friendship. She won't admit she's wrong so I don't even know what to say to her.

I used to be friends with this guy who over time made me act like his maid by making me feel bad that he didn't have time to clean so I would come over and clean his whole apartment. I did this 5 to 6 times and overall we hung out like 20 times. When COVID happened we were planning to hang out and then he cancelled, understood. But talked to me on the phone and said his parents said I will spread the virus. Well I'm clean enough I don't need to ask other people for help or sympathy, i totally understand why he didn't want me over. But to imply I was unclean was a whole another level of BS. He eventually wanted me to buy groceries with him, great more errands. I cut him off because he was treating me like this yet didnt want to date me, the whole thing didnt make sense and honestly I obsess over it sometimes put of border and there being such little sense that I'm mind ******.
