Last month my BF said he will buy clothing for my bday. But then this week, he asked "what do you want for your bday?" Does this mean he is still thinking? Or doesn't want to get any?

I work for a Packaging  company,  and i knew this girl Alyssa for 2 years.  Alyssa was a secretary,  and we would always talk.  Alyssa would always stare at me like crazy, and there was lots of chemestry when we talked.  I had feelings for her but she was married with 3 kids,  i obviously respected her. She would always blush around me One day Alyssa was having a deep conversation with one of my besfriends (a girl)  and Alyssa told her that she is falling for me, and cares for me  but feels guilty because she's married.  She begged my friend to never tell me the secret.  Alyssa and i began getting closer and closer,  but later other coworker's caused drama because everyone thought we were having an affair. My manager told me to stop talking to Alyssa to avoid drama.  Alyssa told me she didn't want to see me get into trouble because of her.  Alyssa was having major problems with 2 specific coworkers and i know she was stressed.   I later began noticing that Alyssa would give me the cold shoulder,  and was acting different with me.   one day for her birthday I gave her a gift card,  but she told my manager about the gift card and my manager got mad and moved me to a different department.   3 weeks later after I was moved I heard Alyssa resigned from her job, and blocked me from Facebook...   early this year around February I noticed she returned to work but she doesn't look me in the eyes.  it's like I don't exist anymore!  Why is she so cold with me??

My BF is going through some personal stuff and so we can't marry this summer. He asked, "if you are in rush, you can leave and find someone esle or if you can wait, ok". I then asked him, "do you want me to stay?" and he replied with, "that's why I am asking you"

I have a close friend who I love dearly, but has become increasingly critical and fault finding in not only things other people do, but now things I do. I used to not care too much, but it s getting a little disrespectful now. I ve talked to him about it a couple of times, and am grateful that for at least a few days he really tries to change his attitude. However, it doesn t take much for him to slip back to usual, and instead of feeling happy after hanging out/talking with him, I now feel frustrated and think negatively about myself and other people. I m not one to give up on a friendship, especially one that s been so great for many years. But after trying multiple times to explain how harmful this behavior is, I can t help but feel pushed further and further away. Have you ever gone through this, and do you have advice about how to effectively communicate what they re doing without annoying them even more?

We like each other, she used to blush while looking at me but then stopped and pretended she didn't see me. Now she seems cold and not caring, at the beginning we used to blush together and get lost in each other's eyes. She's cute, sweet but tough at the same time. No popular girl, shy and avoids talking. A guy never gives her a break. Last time he giggled and stopped her way. She didn't talk to him at all, she was serious and waited til he let her. She avoids looking at him, but he apparently likes her so he tries on her like kids in kindergarten. Another time he called her sweetie, she whispered something like an insult between her teeth, like she couldn't take it anymore, another guy came to support his friend, then I got between the scene, pushed him, he was like, hey look, her boyfriend came, his friend said 'what do you want?'. I started to threathen them and said leave her alone or you'll problems with me. His friend  (he's taller than the guy who hits on her) and pushed me back, she grabbed him by the shirt to stop him from me, they said 'ohhh' and laughed and I took the collar of his t-shirt to grab him closer. We were about to fight when the guy who is over us at work stopped us, scolded everyone and said he'll get us all fired if we cause trouble. I said who started it all and he asked her if it was true, he said then I'll get you fired for harassment if next time it happens again. She was so upset and started shaking as we got out. I tried to calm her down and And gave her water, then she started crying and said she was sorry for me. I told her it's alright, I hate this kind of things. I will always defend you from him. She said it started since the beginning, he would hate her. I wanted to tell her he is just mad that she won't give him a chance but she wouldn't understand at all. So I told her she was a tough one for grabbing the tall guy's shirt to stop him from me. She smiled and blushed and she was so cute, I like her so much.But she is not my gf

They're are very shy person but very caring if you get to know him he's always there in a good way. But when im around my other friends they just start saying things like (why you hang out him he's  an unpopular C#### ) (RIP you) and much worse things. What should we do?

What to do if my best friend stop caring? Should I stop caring for her too? I tried to talk to her but she doesn't want to talk about it.  

I feel like no matter what SOMEONE will hate me. I could be submissive some people would hate that I could be dominate others will hate that. I could be promiscuous and people will call be a whore, I could be celibate and people would call me a prude. I could date men and they'd say I was betraying the queer community. I could date women and they'd say I was betraying the church. I could date both and both sides will tell me to pick a side! People would hate me for eating meat, and other hate those who refuse to eat meat. I could do make-up and people will say I'm trying too hard or fake. I could abstain from make-up and people will say I'm not putting in the effort or I'm ugly. I could wear dresses and I'll be told I'm betraying feminism. I could wear shorts and a T and told I dress like a boy. I cry at work and I'm too emotional. I show no emotion at work and I'm a "cold *****". I drive a car and people say I'm polluting the earth. I drive a bike and I'm scolded for being 5 minutes late.  I feel like no matter what I do I'll be upsetting someone. No matter what I do someone, or a group of someones will hate me for one reason or another. Is there truly no way to please everyone? I try! I do I try so hard! I just want to be liked. I'm not a bad person or at least I try not to be! So why is there always someone who hates me!?

So they don't actually say anything to him. He is a big guy so they are probably intimidated by him.  He married my mom when I was like 4-5 and he officially adopted me not too long ago. I was of course really happy about this and told my friends. They said that he is a simp and an idior for raising another man's sperm and called him all kinds of names even tho he is my dad now.

What are the benefits of your relationships with them and the challenges?

Please note: I've deleted my original account due to a hater who has the nerve to try and find my location through deducing my pen name on the bio, which pissed me off so much, and lastly, I can see why social media consumed them so much the point of showing no signs of humanity in them. 

Well if you say "don't tell me what to do" that's hypocritical because you just told them what to do. As far as "stop telling me what to do", you stopped telling them what to do AFTER that. So instead of saying "don't tell me what to do" should I just say "Stop telling me what to do" as I STOP after that (making it not hypocritical). Being a hypocrite is the last thing I wanna be.  

it happened almost a year ago. she said she didn't like me, she hated my birthday party, and she didn't care about anything i had to say and that there was nothing to talk about (when i was the one trying to start a conversation all the time). i never see her in person since she lives far away from me, and yet i can't get her out of my head and i think of her almost every day. i respect her wishes to want me out of her life and i don't do anything involving her other than thinking of her occasionally and sometimes getting upset, but i just really want some help with taking steps to get over her. she was a very important person to me and one of the last things she said to me was "don't hold onto people that are going to hurt you. trust me." and those words have stuck with me but my mind just can't seem to let go. if anyone's had a similar thing happen to them, or they know what could help, then i'd love to hear about it. thank you.

My friend's sister just gave birth and I want to congratulate her. Can I just say something like "Hey congrats for being a new aunt!" Is that ok?
