Question: Guy I have been seeing is moving away? Posted: 05 May 2019 05:09 PM PDT I've been an emotional wreck lately. I am graduating from college soon and the thought of leaving my best friends and place I've called home for 4 years is killing me. Today, I got news that the guy I've been seeing for a couple months accepted a new job and will be moving out of state, 8 hours away. I have such bad luck when it comes to the dating world. Usually, I am getting ghosted, cheated on, or played. Now, I finally found a genuine person, someone I really thought it was going to work out with, and boom, this happens. I am extremely happy for him, just so so sad as well. I know there is nothing I can do, but not knowing what is going to happen next hurts so much. I am afraid we may just completely drift apart. I know there is not much I can do about this, but if anyone has any words of advice - especially if you've been in this situation, it would be greatly appreciated. I honestly feel sick to my stomach. I just don't know how to stay positive when everything seems to eventually go wrong.
Question: How do I convince my friend that he eats cheese wrong? Posted: 05 May 2019 05:07 PM PDT I recently had an informal beach picnic with my best friend of 20 years (Skylar) that went terribly. Skylar brought a platter of assorted hot and spicy cheeses for us to share. The problem is he didn't bring ANYTHING ELSE. There were no palate cleansers, no breads, not even a beverage such as water. We haven't spoken since that day; how do I convince him to see reason?
Question: Is it ok to eat a spicy cheese platter on the beach without anything else? Posted: 05 May 2019 04:52 PM PDT my best friend gerald says it's not ok. he thinks there should have been bread or water or something. i just wante d to have a nice evening with my best friend of 20 years but now he's mad at me beause i said there was nothing wrong with how i eat my spicey cheese on the beach.
Question: He said it was good that we had a break in our friendship...? Posted: 05 May 2019 04:43 PM PDT so I had a friend recently ghost me for three months when I was going through a really difficult time. something major in my life happened that I thought he should know about so I finally reached out again and he thanked me for letting me know. and he is glad I reached out. I asked why he ghosted me for so long and he said it gave our friendship a break to reset a little. has anyone else had a break like this in a friendship? I just think it is odd and feel like I can't trust him to really be there for me again, you know? or was this a good thing in the long run? thanks!
Question: Should I fight at school? Posted: 05 May 2019 04:21 PM PDT Ok so the girl who has a problem with me has a friend that stole packages off my door (i got them back) and my friend didn't like that so she messaged the one who stole the packages. The girl who stole the packages told her friends that my friend has a issue so they all started texting her saying she was a hoe, her mom was ugly, they wanted to jump her, etc. My friend is real reckless in the mouth like she don't care about your feelings when she don't like you so the girl who stole the packages off my door friend and my friend was going back and forth and my friend said something about her dead dad which I don't agree that she should have said that but since that day the girl has been mugging me crazy and I been letting it slide. We only have a few more weeks of school and we are out but I want to fight her because I'm done having this girl look at me it's mad annoying. The thing is if I get in another fight I might get expelled but idk if Imma catch her off of school. So should I just whoop her *** at school or just leave it alone??

Question: I think my friend hung up on me? Posted: 05 May 2019 02:35 PM PDT One of my best good guy friends ( platonic) has been going through a rough patch but so have I. Today he wanted to meet up, but I have the flu. He had been planning this get together for weeks now. I told him yesterday that I have the flu (which went into my lungs and I am now on antibiotics). Explained that I may not be able to make it. Sure enough fever spiked again, and I slept right through alarm. I missed meeting him out but at least he knew why beforehand. I tried to call him, he answered and said hello but then hung up. I tried again, no answer. I send him messages and he said no worries. He was all excited when he originally answered but I think he saw it was me and didn't want to answer the phone. Not sure why he would do that.....weird

Question: How do I help my friend out of this bad situation? Posted: 05 May 2019 01:09 PM PDT okay, so, I have this friend who is a few years younger than me and i met her through a mutual friend (my best friend). Over the year I have known her we have become very close and some things about her mom have come to light. I have always known her mom was the worst and she has told me all of the stuff she had done over the year and i really wanna help her. right now she's telling me how her mom threatened to beat her to death with a salad spoon thing and when she threatened to call the cops she replied and i quote "I took care of you and i work so hard that I'll pass you and you'll be alone!" (Manipulative?) She calls her disrespectful child, fatass, and disappointment. She also once threatened to crash the car while she was in it because my friend was on the phone instead of talking to her, hits her for not doing things like dishes/laundry, etc, and dictates her life. She told her to go to college to be a doctor so that she can bring over the rest of her family from Vietnam to America and that it is her job to take care of them (*****, she just turned 13 2 weeks ago!!) I want her to tell someone, even her school counselor, but she wont because she is still her mom. Is there any way I could help her? She also doesn't want her to hang around me because my hair is blue, short, and not the girliest. She also hates me since as a joke out the sand in my friend's hair? And because I'm gaining weight??? HELP??!!
Question: Friendship question - I'm I a boring friend? Posted: 05 May 2019 12:54 PM PDT So I'm currently half way around the world and decided to hit up a friend to let him know I'll be passing by. So we meet up and have a good catch up over dinner...but amongst this catch up he questioned me for coming...he said he thought it was confusing/strange when he heard I would be visiting and then asked what my family thought of me travelling out here I thought I was just having a catch up with a good friend but then suddenly I feel not wanted....especially when he goes on to tell me how his other friends are planning to visit too and that they have plans to do stuff. I'm not sure if I should question him and tell him how I feel...im i boring to hang out with compared to his other friends? Cos that's the impression I'm getting and tbh it makes me sad as I thought he was a good mate :(

Question: I'm not ready to meet you... ever again.? Posted: 05 May 2019 11:39 AM PDT Ok, so end of high school, final exam approaching, yet, with all my anxiety, I still manage to worry about my social life, and I SO need your opinion about this... There's this girl in my class, 2 years have passed since we first met, she's got a boyfriend and I've got a girlfriend, but we've been in a... peculiar relationship lately. Sort of. You see, the first couple of months all was fine and good, we got to know each other and stuff. Then, since she's such a nice and friendly girl, I decided to tell her about my SCREWED-UP past. Now, HOLD ON. At that time, I was a gloomy, depressed loner. So I DIDN'T WANT HER SYMPATHY. I just wanted to pass a message/warning. Too bad she decided to help me out instead. Dunno if she misunderstood, or if she just didn't care, but I reacted badly, and for a whole year she was out of my life, with me being a total jerk to her. Time passes, I get a girlfriend, and I decide to give another chance to all this. HOLD ON #2. I wasn't expecting ANYTHING, ok? Surprisingly, she agrees, and things have been calm and quiet for the past 6 months. TOO CALM. TOO QUIET. In a couple of months we will leave this place and our classmates. I'll do my best to forget these years, but what about her? It's not like we've ever had any happy moment together to remember. Even now, it's a I-need-help-with-school-you-help-me-out sort of thing. I wouldn't call that a FRIENDSHIP, and so I think it's pointless to keep in touch with her after school... what do you think?
Posted: 05 May 2019 11:21 AM PDT Long story short this guy is a mutual friend of me and my ex. He was my ex's friend for years and we became friends as well when I was in my previous relationship. My ex was abusive and treated me badly so o broke things off 4 years ago. We haven't talked since. Our mutual friend (more my ex's than mine) invited me on a camping trip. He lives on the west coast, I live on the east coast and so I'd have to spend a lot of time and money to travel there. The problem is that he's good friends with my ex boyfriend new girlfriend which is natural because my ex is his close friend This girl randomly stalked and harassed me for months. I've never met her before and she found my information online. She came to my work to bully me and made several scenes, she drove by my house and would show up placed I'd go and stare at me. My car was even tampered with in the work parking lot. This went on for months. My ex and I are in our mid 30s his new gf is 21. She is completely unhinged and she caused a lot of stress for me always wondering if she was going to show up at my work or slowly drive by my house. My supposed "friend" knows about this and seemed like he couldn't care less. He is still good friends with her. Am I being petty or is it normal to not want to hang out with someone who is close friends with my tormentor?
Question: I can t help but feel stupid? Posted: 05 May 2019 11:09 AM PDT I moved to the U.S 4 years ago. I did not know any English before then. Fortunately enough, I went to high school, graduated with honor, then now I just got accepted into nursing school. However, I constantly feel like I m not good enough. I got offended when my boyfriend points out my mistakes (like misspelling, mispronouncing, misusing words, etc). Yesterday, I went to a baby shower, and was so excited to write on the guest board. Turn out, I misspelled the word "beautiful" and "congratulations" (someone wrote congradulations so I thought that was correct). I m so embarrassed. I feel stupid. And I hate myself for that. I always try hard to be better, but why am I keeping making stupidest mistakes? It s might seem ridiculous, but I am embarrassed and disappointed enough to lose the will to face, to communicate with everyone.
Question: My best friend isnt friends with me anymore? Posted: 05 May 2019 11:02 AM PDT Yesterday she claimed that she is at her boyfriends house, they sex roleplayed in the group chat of 3 people because I was there and they only did it because I was there they love attention, they claim to be having sex when they aren't they were just texting and role-playing. The only time they text me is when they want to role play for me to read their role play messages, so today I told her that I don't care about your boyfriend and she called me a b**** and said I need to be nice to him and unfriended me. All I said was I don't care about her boyfriend. The thing that really pisses me off is that they weren't even having sex. The whole time they were role playing and claiming that they did it in real life well texting me. My best friend said we better stop having sex with think we're making her jealous even though I'm right next to you having sex. What the ****?
Question: Should I have let her stay with me? Posted: 05 May 2019 09:58 AM PDT I was at a party and the host ask me to drive Jane home as she was too drunk to drive. I agreed as I did not want her in a car accident. The host said I will call her husband and tell him you are bringing her home. When I got to her house, her husband met me a the door and would not let his wife come in the house. He said "She is not coming in this house until she sobers up". OH CRAP. What am I going to do? I can't leave her there drunk on her door step. I called the party host and ask her what I should do. She said to take her to your home and take her to her house in the morning when she was sober. I was not comfortable having a married woman sleep at my house over night. I was afraid of what her husband might do. He also seemed to me to be drunk but I didn't know what else to do so I took her home. The next morning she wanted to know how she ended up at my house and I told her. She was outraged. She said "I am not going back and live with that S.O.B. of a husband". Can I stay with you until I can find a place to stay. I told her no but I would help her find a place to stay. I was afraid of what her husband might do and/or I would get involved in a divorce case. Please tell me if I did the right thing here. Should I have let her stay with me?
Question: Should i tell the teacher or my parents? Posted: 05 May 2019 09:20 AM PDT Hi so um im a girl and im 14 and in a girls only high school. On Friday my class started doing our first yoga session and the teacher told us to take off our shoes and socks. The girl on the mat behind me was bullying me because she was saying my feet smelled and my feet are ugly and to get them away from her. Her friend next to her just laughed. Its not my fault because it has been a hot day and even the girl in front of me had smelly feet but im no bully! I bet the bully girl and her friend also smell too. Should i tell the teacher or my parents?
Question: I pulled a cork on neighbors whiskey barrel, what did you think they thought? Posted: 05 May 2019 08:43 AM PDT When i was little I went to a house and the backyard was a chain link fence, then there was the neighbors house next door to us that had a whisky barrel sitting near the chainlink fence with a cork inside of it. I was little and I pulled the cork since I could put my hands through the chain link fence and all of this juice came out of it. what did you think the neighbors thought? What did you think the neighbors were doing with a whiskey barrel in their backyard? Were what the neighbors doing illegal?
Question: Am I weird or is this annoying? How long should a casual call be? Posted: 05 May 2019 08:42 AM PDT When I call my friend she just starts talking continuously for about 7-8 minutes and if I tell her I need to go she gets annoyed. She doesn't ask me about my day or about my problems, just keeps rambling on about herself. She's my best friend but this really annoys me..Am I being impatient?
Question: Could my classmate at high school call me "monkey" because of slight overbite I had/have? Posted: 05 May 2019 06:56 AM PDT I never knew I had an overbite. Nobody told me that - literally - my family, friends, dentists, even those who used to tease me. Nobody. Now I know why some people called me ugly and some called me beautiful. I didnt know what was wrong with my face since I had nice features, even natural full lips, my teeth are small. I didnt know until my adulthood. My dad never cared about me and mom had just minimum wage. She didnt care about it, she said I have nice teeth. Even now when I solve it she doesnt support me. The guy who called me "monkey" was from rich family and would make fun of everyone who was kind of different. After high school and 4 years of teasing and straight bullying he said he hopes I didnt take him seriously. I did. He called me ugly and I didnt know whats wrong with me. Now I finally earned enough money and I am about to wear braces and have ortognathic surgery. It affected my self-esteem a lot. Now when I told my friends that I will have braces they said "oh, you want to fix your overbite?" So people clearly notice it but do not say anything. WHY?
Posted: 05 May 2019 04:01 AM PDT You go to this one area, and the people are this way to you, You find yourself getting bullied out of the clear blue sky. You end up getting told off or chewed out and you Look at yourself like what did I do? You try hanging with people and within a week they snap and start bullying you.. People gets critical over everything you do and when try to reason or explain they shout and yell at you and defend their position. You seem to not be able to talk to one person, but you have to talk to a group of people. They are always in an entourage. Some of the people in the group says to the others 'he has a different personality he is not from this area, have you ever seen anyone different than yourselves?' and I overhear 'then he should go back where he came from' If I put in a word in edgewise I end up getting attacked by the whole group. Everyone out here tends to be the same (dress the same talk the same act the same and physically look alike) and stick together in a group and They tend to no want to get to know you or are hostile towards you over the way you are. They accuse you of being 'different' Am I not accepted?

Question: Does anyone else get loads of enjoyment/amusement out of making chavs/hood people? Posted: 04 May 2019 11:45 PM PDT I like insulting their intelligence and stretching their tiny vocabularies with witty comebacks and roastings to the point where they lash out in anger and send me death threats.
Posted: 04 May 2019 11:41 PM PDT I dated a guy for 3 years and he was abusive. He constantly called me fat even though I wasn't fat at all, he constantly belittled me, compared me to other women, asked me to dye my hair he'd even print photos of models that he wished I'd look like and left them around the apartment. One of his friends was always nice to me and we all hung out together. He even told me boyfriend that the way he treated me was wrong. We all hung out often for years. I broke up with the guy 4 years ago. Now his friend who id now consider my friend as well has invited me on a camping trip. He lives on the west coast and I live on the east coast so it would cost me money and involve travel. The main problem is that he's very good friends with my ex's new girlfriend. The reason that makes things weird is because she tormented and stalked me for 3 months. She came into my work multiple times, drove by my house and would show up random places I was at. She would say rude things about me and try to provoke me to fight with her. I never engaged with her and I ignored her when she came to my work. She had every intention of causing me distress and trying to provoke me at work and cause trouble for me. The harassment was unnerving. I was always looking over my shoulder and wondering when she'd appear.. she put me through hell. I broke up with my ex in 2015 and we haven't talked since. Is it wrong to not want to hang out with someone who's friends with a person who stalked and tormented me?
Question: Why I don’t have many Vietnamese friends in U.S? Posted: 04 May 2019 11:23 PM PDT I looked more East Asian than South East Asian because my great grandparents are Chinese! But they lived in Vietnam for a while and don't have any connection with China anymore and my family are basically just Vietnamese! I have no problems having friends in Vietnam! But after I moved to U.S I have a hard time finding Vietnamese friends! The Vietnamese friends I have is only a few ! For some reason my friends in U.S are either East Asian (Chinese, Japanese, Korean). I just feel so weird that East Asian tends to make friends to me than my own people (Vietnamese). Now since I have these East Asian friends now I don't even eat Vietnamese food and celebrate my culture anymore and instead having Chinese, Korean , Japanese cuisine and celebrate their culture together with these friends of mine ! I feel like I will lost my roof soon!! I feel like a betrayer but at the same time I don't have Vietnamese friends to keep my culture with ! I am concerned about myself!

Question: Friend is suicidal, advice? Urgent please help? Posted: 04 May 2019 10:19 PM PDT Hey, I don't know where else to turn so I decided to ask here. I'm a college student and a guy for background. My best friend I've known for years actually goes to the same college as me and the other day he told me something disturbing. A couple days ago he asked me if he could talk to me about something serious. I obviously agreed and he sat me down looking extremely upset and told me that he feels deeply depressed and has had thoughts about killing himself. He said he's hidden it from everyone and I'm the only person he's telling. He then started to cry and completely break down. It really scared me because I've never seen him this upset before but I gave him a hug and told him I love him a lot and that I'll do anything to help. He made me promise not to tell his parents but I'm thinking I maybe should. I'm very worried about him and constantly check in to make sure he's okay. He's the brother I never had, a truly amazing friend and I love him more than anything, it saddens me to see him like this. What do I do? Do I tell his parents? How can I help? I just feel so scared and overwhelmed. I'm really afraid for his wellbeing and feel like it's my responsibility to look after him as his friend, I just don't know how to handle this. Thanks for your help!
Question: He’s forgiven me but why do I still feel guilty? Posted: 04 May 2019 08:32 PM PDT One of my closest friends is 17, I'm 20. Usually I don't tend to make friends with that sort of age because the majority of them can be quite immature. He's like a brother to me, and this last year with him has been great. Many memories made, getting to know each other, etc To the point - On Wednesday we had a falling out. He saw something in my Notes app that he didn't agree with, and rightly so, he asked why it was in there. Instead of telling the truth, I lied straight to his face. I've never done that before to anyone. I was in shock at how angered he seemed, as usually he's very chill. I still can't explain why I didn't tell the truth, I guess I was scared it'd make things worse, but that's flawed logic. Now, we're back following each other on Instagram, and texting there like usual. But the guilt from everything I've done still tortures me. He's forgiven me but I can't begin to forgive myself. I'm not the easiest person to be friends with, I can cause a lot of stress. He's stuck by me despite many times he could've cut all contact. This time I was certain that it was permanently over. Despite being friends again, putting it all behind us, I can't stop thinking about how I upset him, he's forgiven me but I can't forgive myself for what I did. TLDR: Fellout with a good friend, he forgave me, we've made up but I still can't get past this overwhelming guilt
Posted: 04 May 2019 08:24 PM PDT I'm an introvert and like to keep a few people I keep really close. But there is one friend I have who I am closer with and always enjoy being around and consider him that person my best friend. How do I find out if I'm his best friend too? Should I just ask? Or would you find it weird or annoying. Thanks

Question: I had sex with this guy and now he wants pictures of me, is this normal? Posted: 04 May 2019 07:03 PM PDT Is it normal for a guy to want pictures of woman after he's had sex with her? Maybe for masturbating? Update: I'm not naked on the pictures I have lingerie.
Question: I dont like being copied , why do they keep copying me? Posted: 04 May 2019 07:03 PM PDT These people who dont like me, gossips, nitpicks, and bully me, yet copy any little thing I do even to any tv shows I watch.(Lol) Why is this. I dont loke being copied espeocally by someone who doesnt like me. This is in real life.
Posted: 04 May 2019 06:38 PM PDT I'm at an age where I feel like I lost almost everyone, and some they lost me too. I've always been the type to put others before me or even when I was going through hard, dark times I still was there for everyone and for awhile now leading up til now I feel like no one cares the way I cared about them and their problems. I feel like I can't breath thinking about it and get really depressed and wonder if my life is worth living because it doesn't seem like I ever mattered to anyone. I always try to set good examples and not expect anything in return so I always tell people like "thank you for hanging out" "it was good catching up/seeing you" "i appreciate your time thanks for sticking around" and I always remind people of their good qualities or compliment their strengths or encourage everyone. Now I'm realizing I think I did it too much for the wrong people.. Now I have no one and. ant even tell myself these good things. Why

Posted: 04 May 2019 05:53 PM PDT So I invited my friend over yesterday and she looked at my vape and asked if it was mine I said "yeah I bought it a few days ago" and she had never used a vape before and asked if she could try and I said "yeah sure" and she tried and thought it was cool but she was sleeping over as well today and she keeps using it to the point where I have to put more juice in it every couple hours and the battery went out so I went to go get my battery charger and I said "It should be fully charged tomorrow" but she kept going out to check on it every 5 minutes. I told her to just kind of calm down on it but when I go out of the room or something she's using it I had a vape pen and just gave it to her but she didn't like it she wanted my vape mod and I had to hide it and I just said "I don't know what I did with it" but she kept asking "how could you lose it I need it" and it gets annoying and she found it and it's like if she wants one go buy her own instead of using mine 24/7 and I even told her that. |
