My mother wants me to go because there will be alot of family to reconnect with. Sometimes I often wonder what motivates couples to spend $30,000+ on their wedding and reception. I know that different parts of the country can have a great impact on the cost of a wedding. However, $30,000 could toward the cost of a decent college education, a down payment for a house, or paying down debt. I guess I will never understand.
