Question: Is it possible to pay for community college on your own? Posted: 27 May 2016 11:40 AM PDT I need all the advice I can get. My parents wont be helping me at all. I will be dorming and this summer before school starts, I will be working long hours, I will also be working once school starts part time. Posted: 27 May 2016 11:32 AM PDT and told me I didn't make sense. So basically she was telling me everything she was doing. And yelling and arguing at me in front of my niece and nephew when she came home back from work Tht night and I was watching the kids. And says I don't do anything but she doesn't teach or tell her 11 year old son to do any chores and lets him get away with it and thinks I don't do anything and I'm the lazy one when its him. she spoils him and doesn't say anything to him which prob makes him turn into a brat. she's not a good mother or sister at all either if she's screaming and says she can tell and cuss (even when she doesn't have a good reason) to at her house. When me and my oldest nephew both gave her $300 in rent this month. I don't think it's safe enough for kids to be around her and she threatened to hit me telling me twice to "shut the fu** up" Bc I said it back to her. So I'm gonna defend myself Bc she wants to talk to me like Tht Bc her hubby n oldest son aren't home. I hope and wish she would get caught. I don't like her and is it a good idea to cut off all contact with her til she apologizes? I cried last night and she could care less if I'm here at her house or not. I hate ppl like Tht that just cause and create drama, don't you? Like mind your own business and stop trying to start beef with me. Right? |
Question: I want my Parents to divorce...? Posted: 27 May 2016 11:32 AM PDT I am 15, almost 16 and I feel so selfish for thinking like this but they are barely happy when together. My Dad always puts my Mom down, he makes her feel terribly low, blames her for everything and shouts at her and my brother all of the time. It's upsetting everyone. A day doesn't go by when my parents don't shout and argue. It's mainly my Dad, he thinks he is right all the time and when something doesn't go his way, he explodes. He gets home from work at 4:30pm and sits in front of the TV all night (he cooks us dinner sometimes0 but otherwise my Mom will get in around 6pm and does everything (I help with lots of the chores, but still...) he gets mad at us if we are down stairs having conversations about our day whilst he's watching TV, his life revolves around TV, sometimes we think he prefers it to us. I love both of my parents equally, I seem to be the one who gets off the lightest when it comes to argument but it still affects me (the constant hatred and shouting). I heard my Dad say that living with my Mom is like living with his sister, their is no compassion or love but my Mom does everything for him, treats him more than well etc. Sometimes my parents do get along but it's getting rarer and rarer now. They've been together for 17 years, have 3 kids (My eldest brother is my Dads kid from a previous relationship but my Mom treats him like me and my younger brother.) I don't know what to do, I just want, need them to divorce. (My Dad is horrible to my younger bro.) |
Question: Have you ever been obsessed with someone? Posted: 27 May 2016 11:27 AM PDT I'm not talking about that cute little crush I'm talking about an unhealthy obsession where you constantly think about them, day dream about them, plan your entire life around them. When you constantly want to only be around them and don't like to share them with anyone else but you hide it because you don't want them to think you're crazy. It can be a friendship or a relationship. |
Question: Could I afford community college on my own? Posted: 27 May 2016 11:16 AM PDT My parents dont agree with my decision to attend Blinn College, a community college. My parents are extremely strict and they want me staying home for college, and until I'm married... Long story short, I would really like to move out and attend this community college. I have $400 saved up right now which I will not be spending. I will be leaving the house soon and be staying with a friend in their apartment while I work the whole summer. I will be working long hours to make as much as I can to pay off school. I start in August, but before I make this huge move, i want to know forsure if this is possible for me to afford community college on my own while dorming. I know it will be a struggle bc of how much I would have to work. all I would be paying for is school/dorming, and other daily things that I would need. I wont be paying for phone/car bills. I need as much advice as possible for this situation http://www.blinn.edu/CatalogPDF/college-expenses.pdf These are the college expenses, I will be doing 12 hours. |

Question: How can I convince my parents to let me spend the night with my boyfriend and his family? Posted: 27 May 2016 10:58 AM PDT Hi, I m 16, and my boyfriend s family has kindly invited me to spend the night at their grandparent s beach house. I have been dating this boy for a little over a year now, but my dad is extremely against the idea, while my mom doesn t mind. I would be staying in the guest room three floors away from my boyfriend as the house is large, and I would be sharing the room with his older brother s girlfriend who is 17. His family invited me to spend the night so they could "get to know me better." In addition, they felt staying over would be much more convenient since they have late family dinners and early wake up calls to go to the beach. I really want to go, and I genuinely don t see the problem with it. I wouldn t even see my boyfriend after bedtime (We are not sexually active and I would never disrespect his parents or their home). My mom thought it was nice of them to welcome me into their home, and she didn t have a problem with it. However, before I could even get three words out, my dad was already saying no and yelling about how stupid I was to even think he would consider the idea. My mom respects his opinion and will not try to sway him either way. How can I convince them that it is just a harmless sleepover at his family s house? Please help, the vacation is in two days! |
Question: Did my boyfriend take it too far? Posted: 27 May 2016 10:54 AM PDT So my boyfriend lives in my place with me my mom and my sister because it's easier this way for him to go to work. Anyways today I locked him in the bathroom as a tiny joke. And he got mad and he destroyed our whole bathroom... he put wax to my sister's and mom's shampoo put all the razors in the comod... and now everyone hates him ...and I feel bad because I started this ... what should I do to make things right between everyone? Is it fair for me to be mad at him? |
Posted: 27 May 2016 10:33 AM PDT Okay, so I'm currently 12 (my birthday is tomorrow) and my dad hurt me. I was late for school so I ran downstairs in a hurry to see if my mom was ready to take me to school. My dad opened the door and we got into a big argument, then he proceeded to bolt at me from across his room, tackling me down into the corner of the hall. My shoulder as well as jaw hit the baseboard and it's been hurting since it happened. I then proceeded to say "Fu*k you" and ran to my closet. I was just wondering if this is legal in the state of Utah. My mother could care less, as she wasn't there and automatically thinks I'm lying. She started to tell me this morning about how she doesn't care if I get hit, and how she would have hit me twice as hard. With yahoo as my last resort, what should I do? I love my mother with all my heart, but me and my father have had a bad relationship my whole life. Please, give me advice. |
Question: What can I do to stop my step sister from stealing my clothes.? Posted: 27 May 2016 10:29 AM PDT My step sister always comes over and wear my clothes. When I tell her that I don't want her to she tells my step mom and my step mom gets mad at me. Also she wear my clothes home to her house so I have like no clothes. (I only have 3 pairs of shorts) and my step mom won't buy any new clothes. What do I do?? |
Question: Is my step mom abusive? Posted: 27 May 2016 10:27 AM PDT My step mom lays in bed all day and smokes. She expects me to watch my baby brother all day. We have to clean the house and she just lays around. Summer is so boring and she won't take us any where. She yells at me for hours and hours. Also when my dad gets home she acts like she did all the work. She also gets mad at my dad because I doesn't want to have sex with her every time she wants. My dad tries breaking up with her but she said she would burn our house down if he did. I want to leave but I don't want to go to a foster home. I could live with my nana and papa but I don't know if they would let me .. HELP!! Also my dad doesn't want us either. |
Question: Going away with school? Posted: 27 May 2016 10:05 AM PDT So I'm meant to be going away to fran e with school for nine days, it takes 27 hours to drive there (and back) I'm 15 years old and I really don't want to leave my parents and I really don't think I'm going to enjoy the trip anyway. Obviously I can cancel going but I don't know any advice? 27 hours one way* |
Question: How to say I'd rather take the money rather than accept a gift as payment? Posted: 27 May 2016 10:00 AM PDT For my sister I babysit my niece on the weekdays from seven until close to four. She is two in a few months and she isn't a handful in the slightest. But rather than receive a payment for my work, she'd suggest doing this or that for me that really I'm not comfortable with. It feels as though she'd be doing me a favor rather than me actually being the one doing her a favor and her paying me for it. If I turn down the gift, I get nothing lol. Without sounding like i am rude or ungrateful, how to politely say I'd rather just get paid instead. I am going on a trip in two days, and would like to have some income on me to get a souvenir or something of the sort. |

Question: Please help, I just found out my father is a pedophile.? Posted: 27 May 2016 08:58 AM PDT My father has always been a good one, no questions. Always ask how my day was, tell me he loves me, and is always my support. I know he loves me. He has NEVER been sexual with me or anything. He is a good father. But last night, I found out my father is sexually attracted to little boys (this is a fact, not a rumor). What ages im not sure, but NOT legal. Little boys. I spend all night crying, shaking, and I felt like it was all a bad dream. It wasn't. I feel sick to my stomach and I never want to look at my father again. I dont know what to do, I would really appreciate some advice or anything. This is not a joke, in anyway. I just need some help. Im not coping well with this sickening news. (I am a 16 year old girl by the way) Thank you. |

Question: Can I live with my sister or boyfriend if I'm pregnant? Posted: 27 May 2016 08:56 AM PDT My mom found out I was pregnant, told me to get an abortion and that I was making a huge mistake told me she'd lock me up in my room for a month for lying to her about seeing my ex and said I'd have no contact with anyone and won't ever get to see him or he won't get to see the baby. She let me leave with my 20 year old sister who has an apartment and stable job and I'm trying to live with her because it's a way more healthy environment here. Can I? My mom said if I left to never come back |
Question: My uncle is my dad...what should i do at family reunion? Posted: 27 May 2016 08:47 AM PDT I just found out my mom had sex with her brother and that my uncle is really my dad. They kept that a secret for 13 years! I dont know how to react! I feel like im an incest baby or something. Please help! |
Posted: 27 May 2016 08:39 AM PDT If he went to jail, there will be no-one to look after them since they are orphaned and her older brother and sister took over and became their parents. Her cousins also live with them because their parents abandoned them |
Question: How to take down someone who grabs your hair and pins you down in a fight? Posted: 27 May 2016 08:37 AM PDT My sister and i dont get alone AT ALL. This morning we got into a fight again. when we get into a physical one all she really does is just grab my pony tail and pin me down. Shes pretty obese so she uses that as an advantage and sits on my chest or face when she pins me down so i cant breathe at all. Anyway, this morning she took it too far and wouldnt let go even tho i was screaming that i couldnt breathe, i felt my face turn really red and i literally felt like i was having an out of body experience or something, idk if i was close to passing out or death but it was just a really bad situation. She has a lot of anger issues and doesnt get help to get it under control, the only reason why we fought today was cuz she couldnt find her glasses and was getting late to work and wanted my contact lenses but i wouldn let her cuz their mine for one and for two i went without glasses a few weeks ago for a whole week cuz SHE stepped on them (accidently) and broke em and wouldnt let me borrow her lenses so i could see and not miss school. She wouldnt let me borrow them and when i got my hands on a pair that were expired and she didnt use she found out and threw them away. Anyway my actual question is just how do i prevent her from pinning me down by grabbing my hair? Ive tried grabbing hers before she could mine but she grabs mine before i could. Please help |
Question: Do I Have To Love My Abusive Parents? Posted: 27 May 2016 08:20 AM PDT Okay, so as far as i can remember my parents have been abusive. My mother is emotionally/verbally/neglectful while my dad is emotionally absent/verbal/physical abusive. They have never told me they loved me, never showed affection. I tried to hug my mom one day she yelled at me and got mad. My father tries to hug me every other year and it makes me cringe. I am 20, in college full time, working part time I live with them over the summer. They have never supported me for anything, call me names, and give underhanded compliments/comments all the time. I don't have a bond with either one of them and don't feel any real love or anything for them. My dad says he's done everything for me,but all he ever did was give me money, buy food at home, and basically let me live there as a child growing up. He has never been there emotionally for me. He doesn't know much about me, even though I'm his child, because he doesn't care to know. This hurts my feelings to not be close to them. My question is do I have to like my parents if they have not given me a reason too. Basically they think buying me things is the same as love. |
Posted: 27 May 2016 08:06 AM PDT So my mom has a best friend and our families are really close to each other. My mom's best friend son is around my age but he sees me has his little brother. His parents are my aunt and uncle even though we are not related, it's just that our families have known each other a long time. We'll anyway I know he is protective of me because he acts differently with me than with his friends. With me he is really sweet and he hugs me and around his friends he acts all tough in front of his friends. Then he gets super protective when I want to date but he is not controlling protective he is just cautious. With me when I need help like a ride or when I want to talk at 3:00 am he is always there for me. He is also 6'4 and I am 5'4 so anyone who tries to bully me does so at their own peril. He is not even protective of his friends like he is with me and his little brother. He also takes me and his little brother too the movies or out to eat and he doesn't do that for anyone else. |
Question: I am so tired, my twins are so not. What can i do that won't hurt them or me? Posted: 27 May 2016 07:45 AM PDT I have 4 year old twin daughters. They like to work together to cause trouble, that is when they're not biting each other. Being tired, im also irritable, but i can't punish them or yell at them for evverything or it would never stop. I have no family or friends that can come over to help. |

Question: It is hard to live with my father anymore. I am living with my mom in the same house.? Posted: 27 May 2016 07:39 AM PDT The house is rented. Things even got physical recently(this happens) too. My father has been abusive towards both my mother and me. My mother doesn't stand up or raise a word again my fathers ill doings. the things is my first job doesn't pay enough for me to move out. I also afraid that mom will be not taken care of by father properly if I am to leave. So I can't take care of myself + mother at the moment. Please help. What should I do? |
Question: Are your parents still in love? Posted: 27 May 2016 07:34 AM PDT My parents never kiss, touch, and haven't slept together in 21 years. They've been married since they were 23. My mom told me she's not into it and doesn't need it. Is that normal? |
Question: My dad is crying because of me. How can I be a better daughter? Posted: 27 May 2016 07:26 AM PDT My dad picked me up from the orphanage when I was 5 years old, I am now 15. He is currently 35 years old, turning 36 this year. About to leave the Navy. I was a good daughter before my teen years, after that I started picking up the habits of my friends and began rebelling against my father. I got pleasure from it, so did my friends. One night I saw my dad writing into his journal, crying. I decided to have a peek and saw it dated back to his teen years. His father left, his mother chose her boyfriend over him, and what I saw next made me cry. He wrote that he would die before anyone laid a hand on me. He recorded advice from his friends. I told my friends and they laughed, I no longer wish to hang out with them. I want to be a better daughter, my dad is trying his best to give me a better life than his. I want to help, what can I do? I never realized how much he cared, and how sensitive he actually was. He never cried in front of others, but alone he did cry. Why would he not show how he feels? What can I do? |
Question: I hate my homeschooling parents! Am I justified? Posted: 27 May 2016 07:21 AM PDT I hate my homeschooling family because I am the only one who wasn't homeschooled and my parents are always tearing me down for it! I'm in my 20s and they will not let me get a license. They are always rubbing in how I've been fed bullshit and how I'm basically stupid because I didn't go to a special exclusive college for snobby homeschoolers and I'm ******* sick of it! |
Question: My summer is gonna ******* suck.? Posted: 27 May 2016 07:17 AM PDT okay so i have like 3 pairs of shorts and like maybe what 5 shirts that actually fit? all my shorts are running shorts and all my shirts are just t shirts. in a week im going to the beach with my cousin but i have no clothes?!?! i asked my parents if we can go shopping but my mom says yeah we will go this weekend then never go my dad says no im broke (really he always has at least 5,000 on him he is just a selfish asshole who only gives a **** about himself) then im like whatever. after the beach we have no pool i have no friends i dont have a laptop i only have a phone and nothing to go outside and do(no bike, etc) this has happened every summer.. i end up doing literally nothing and watching youtube videos ALL summer then i get back to school everyone is tan and i look like a ******* ghost. im tired of it. i wanna do something but there is nothing to do |
Question: Why does my mom never believe anything I say? Posted: 27 May 2016 07:10 AM PDT My 14 year old sister is a druggie who does drugs and drinks with her trashy friends and I try telling my mom that because she's not aware of what she's doing all day I've ever showed her photos to prove it but she doesn't believe me because one time my sister passed a drug test. My sister was letting her 14 year old friends have sex in my bathroom and not even kidding I walked in on that and I told my mom which friend it is and my mom wouldn't even tell the girls parents she just let her get away with it and my mom still lets that girl come over to my house all the time. She didn't even apolgize for what she did and she tried blaming it on another girl. But I saw her in my bathroom with a guy... I tell my mom that I don't have a boyfriend but she doesn't believe me she had a social worker go through a room because they think I'm hiding guys in there while I go to school :( this is so frustrating she never believes anything I say.. I don't even think she believes that I'm going to graduate high school next year |
Question: Moving out at 19, can I do it? Experienced adults, please provide insight.? Posted: 27 May 2016 06:52 AM PDT Sorry if this is worded weird. This is coming off the top of my head. I work part time and make about $250 a week, sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. so I make around $1,000 a month. I m switching departments soon within the company (petsmart) as a dog groomer so I will be making more within a few months. Am I currently making enough money to move out, or will I have to wait until I actually become a groomer and make more? Need to move out asap. I have no car but I am desperate to move out. Sick and tired of parents and everyone in this family. Hoping to move out by next year. edit: looking to live on my own, independently. thank you for all the tips and advice guys Steven s, you don't know my life or what they put me through on a daily basis. |

Question: Me and my mom fight about things on a daily basis and I m tired of it? Posted: 27 May 2016 06:18 AM PDT We argue about everything. I will literally ask the simplest question and she will have the nastiest attitude about it: Me: Hey mom what are we having for dinner? Her: ...(silence) Me: Mom? Her: ...(silence) Me: -sigh- Her: OH MY GOD I DONT KNOW. LEAVE ME ALONE. My mom leaves for work at 4pm and comes home at 10, so me and my little brother are alone the entire day (Not that I m complaining) Everything is fine until she comes home. I understand that she is stressed because of work, but that doesn t give you an excuse to treat me like crap and verbally abuse me everyday. I have anxiety problems and I have no one else to talk to but my grandma. I can t talk to her about it because she always thinks that I m being paranoid. When she sees me crying, she says stuff like, "Why are you crying? You re 17. Just grow up and stop being such a brat." It pisses me off so much. I remember I told her I wanted to kill myself and she told me that it was fine and that everyone will forget about me anyway. I m honestly done with her and I don t know what to do at this point. I would move out, but I can t because I have no where else to go. She always tells me that no one will want me to move in with them because of my "attitude". |
Question: What are some tips to babysitting a sibling? Posted: 27 May 2016 05:59 AM PDT My brother is 6 years old. Today, my dad will be at work and my mom will have to go out for two hours. She s asked me to babysit him. Do you have any tips? It will be around noon-ish after lunch when my mom leaves, so I won t have to worry about making food. Thank you! |
Question: I'm 13 and I do not like sitting in the front seat of my moms car? Posted: 27 May 2016 05:59 AM PDT My mom is the type to look over at my shoulder to see what I'm doing on my phone. When I show her something like a video on Instagram on my phone, she grabs my phone out of my hand and starts going through my phone, she goes through everything ESPECIALLY my photos. So because of this I like to sit in the back seat, not the front. I don't want to sit in the front seat because I know my mom will snatch my phone and look through it. The backseat is so much more comfortable to me. But I was wondering if it was normal to be this way... to sit in the backseat at 13. Btw, I'm a pretty innocent child on my phone, I just use it to go on Twitter, Instagram, snapchat and etc. |

Question: Should i listen to myself or my family? Posted: 27 May 2016 05:26 AM PDT one year ago i had my first existential crisis. i was in my math class then all of a sudden my mind just went into a wormhole and since then i couldnt stop thinking about death and humanity. And the more i think about it , the more im trausmatized by the unknown . Then my grades started to drop and i also started to feel pointless in doing everything. Anyway , 2 days ago , my school held a prom for 12th graders and i just didnt want to go,that s all. It s quite pointless to be frank. However , my family had to make a fuss out of it. For some reasons , they started yelling at me , calling me stupid , a throw-away , a moron ,etc. They even said my taking a gap year was stupid. After that day , i felt incredibly sad . I dont know what to do anymore but again I cant help but feeling like what my family said is true.Should i listen to them? p/s : i really want to tell my family about my problem but the thing is they are unaware of this "existential crisis" thing.( like the time when i told my friends about this , no one even knew what i was saying) |

Question: Kid stealing from me? Posted: 27 May 2016 04:28 AM PDT Okay so my dad has a girlfriend and she and her son live with us. I'm a 18 year old girl and her son in 14. He has come into my room while I was away and stolen from me. Even when I lock my door he unlocks it and goes in anyways. He has done this multiple time and he has been caught and been punished for it multiple times. Luckily for me I have a very good father and he isn't putting up with it any longer and they are moving out but it won't be for another two months or so and I would like to keep my personal belongings in the mean time... What should I do to keep him out of my room or to catch him doing it? I'm really angry right now. He has stolen money from me, he has stolen personal items with a lot of meaning behind them from me, I don't trust this kid AT ALL. I feel violated and not at ease in my own house. I'm always on edge about my things being stolen. I go away on the weekends to my moms house and he's is left upstairs alone all weekend and his room is right across the from mine and my dads room is downstairs so there's now way for him to know either. Please help. What should I do? |
Posted: 27 May 2016 04:26 AM PDT My uncle is a very bad and sexist man. Hes liar and manipulative..i have bad recurring memories on how he mentally abused me. He would say women shoud not go to school because they will become illmanered. He even told my mom i was sick to go to school. He only told me my education was enough and i only need to write my name that he would help me i didnt need to learn to read and write and i was 8 YEAR OLD DAMN. anyway thank god I had a protective father. My uncle would always mentally abuse me when i was studying. When I got mad he would blame my studies and take my book aways then tell mom I should stop school at 14. Well my father would have kicked his *** plus we live in canada so good luck with that. Plus when I was a child he would always take my book and give me a dirty look and tell me studies are useless. Well of course when my father was there he acted all normal. My uncle is a psychopath POS. But he have problem with everyone. He stoppes talking to us then came back in our life. When I went to see him (mom forced me) he was telling us how his ex gf was good like me then became bad cuz she was seing friend using internet and having freedoom.he advice my mom not to let me have freedom. He was angry at my mom that I have a cellphone and I was 21 year old at that time. Guess he dont want me to call police with it. When I go his house there is no phone or internet and he wont show how to unlock his door from inside. REAd More below |
Posted: 27 May 2016 04:22 AM PDT He is a drug addict and while that has illness components he has many other problems he chooses. He is an angry, mean spirited, thug with no heart anymore. He was sweet until he was a teen. He is now 21. He has been in jail since November. He ruined my mother's holiday season by being in jail though I was glad he was there and not making us miserable even though our mother dampened things. Now he is out and hasn't changed I am told at all. I only saw him there once (I went Christmas Eve). He might be off drugs but that is the least of his issues believe it or not. So how do I prepare for the damage he will be causing in the coming months assuming he hasn't chosen to change and assuming my mother enables him with room and board for a few months (he was living on his own when arrested but won't have that place). |
Posted: 27 May 2016 04:09 AM PDT I'm 43 years old and I live in another state from my mother. We talk usually about once a week, but the issue is that she's always concerned about my welfare and whereabouts, expressing this behind my back to siblings and friends on the phone. Recently I was overseas for 24 hours and arrived home to find a stream of messages from my mum and friends asking where I was and if I am ok. I want this to stop, I know my mum is old, but assuming she's ok mentally, how would you handle this? |
Question: My girlfriend's parents are abusing her and she wants to leave..? Posted: 27 May 2016 03:22 AM PDT My girlfriend is currently enduring emotional and physical abuse at home, from both of her parents. She is constantly belittled, insulted, locked inside rooms and beaten. They've taken it as far as restricting her resources so she can't complete assignments or even get to college. It's gotten so bad that she is determined to leave home even if it means not being able to complete her degree in the near future. She's 19 and I am 20.. Neither of us are employed or have cars.. And she has no place to go so I offered her refuge with my family in my hometown which they've agreed to since they know the situation... This isn't a permanent solution however, but it seems the safest for now because she cannot take it anymore, physically or emotionally and is in fear of her father especially. We have some money, like just enough to get away for a while but we can't stay with my family forever. It's the most frustrating situation I've been in for quite some time and I'm scared of what her parents might do when we do run away.. Part of the reason why the abuse has escalated is because they do not approve of our inter-racial relationship, and the fact that she is not religious and confessed this to them a year ago. We've only been dating for like half a year, but we met and became friends at college in our freshman year. Any advice! |
Posted: 27 May 2016 03:18 AM PDT I was sleeping and then I suddenly felt a hand grabbing me and pulling me out of bed. It was my dad. I asked him what was wrong; thinking it was a fire or some kind of emergent. He told me that I ought to know what I did wrong and then he smacked my legs and bottom a few times. My mom was there with him and she calmed him down and told him to talk with me before doing all of that. We sat on on the bed and my parents told me that a whole bottle of wine was missing and they needed me to tell them what happened with it. I told them that I didn't touch it. They texted my older brother, who has visited from college the weekend earlier, and he said that he had taken it to a party and he would buy them a new bottle. They hit me and pulled me out of bed for no reason. Was this so urgent that it couldn't wait until morning? Would you have woken up you hold in the middle of the night like that? |

Question: I am being an overbearing sister in law? Posted: 27 May 2016 03:04 AM PDT Hi, my brother and my sister in law got married recently. I do love my sister in law as if she were my actual sister, and at often times I do go out of my way to be nice to her and show her I care. One of the things I did was getting her a book (that is part of a series) and I offered her to buy the rest of the series for her birthday if she really liked it? To which she replied that if she liked it she would get it herself. (I was taken aback by her comment) So my question, was that an overbearing move on my part? I forgot to add that she did thank me for getting the first book for her. And she did express interest in the book series I was reading (she did want to borrow my book, which I was willing to do if she handled it with care, she then said if that was the case it would be better if she had her own copy, so I did offer to buy it for it, and did so, and gave it to her on my recent visit) and I made the offer again to buy her the rest of the series while we were talking in her kitchen. For those of you are confused, I DO have a wonderful relationship with my sister in law. She couldn't be a better wife to my brother :) Please don't keep in mind she is a wonderful woman, and she's very friendly and I'm happy to have her be apart of the family. I can oversensitive and I do tend to think before I act, so I did offer to buy the book for her (since she was busy with work) via Skype, but had left to get it before she could answer. *Do keep in mind she is a wonderful woman. |
Question: How am I supposed to feel when in-laws "disown" me after divorce announcement? Posted: 27 May 2016 01:38 AM PDT My husband just walked out on me. He said that I need to file for divorce and asked me for my rings back. The next day I noticed that his ENTIRE family had blocked me on Facebook and Instagram. I had a really good relationship with his family (except his dad) so it hurts that they would be so childish to block me after their son was the one that left me. Before they blocked me they made sure to let me know that they were burning every picture they had of me in their house (including my wedding dress which was at their house. I know, they're crazy). The only thing that I can think is that my husband went home and told them all this **** about me. They have forbidden me and anyone in my family to speak to him. They are only hearing his side of the story which must me completely exaggerated to make him the victim and me the devil. I want to defend my name and my family's name but I feel like it would cause more drama. How do I get through this knowing that all these people are turning on me based on false accusations? |
Question: How to convince mom to give me my phone back? Posted: 27 May 2016 01:38 AM PDT so it's a long story, so get ready lol. so the first time she took it is because she found that i've been using it inappropriately (cursing and stuff) so i apologized and promised her i wouldn't do it again and she believed me and gave it back. fast forward to october of 2015, for some reason being the stupid person i am fell back into my old habits and used my phone in a way that i shouldn't have, and she found out and took it away again. and it has been taken away from me since october 30, 2015. it is not march 27 2016 and i haven't brought up the subject of my phone once knowing that i'm in the wrong here and i deserve to have my phone taken away. but now i want it back. i've honestly truthfully learned my lesson and i should've listened to her the first time she told me to stop because honestly looking back now i realize how stupid my behavior was and i'm not proud of it. i've been using my laptop ever since she's taken it away and i can confidently say i haven't even THOUGHT of going back to my old instagrams/twitters and disobeying my mom for the THIRD time. so how can i make her give me my phone back and make her believe that i won't do anything of that behavior again? ps- im 13, and i'm in summer vacation atm and i do NOT want to spend 4 months away from any sort of communication to my friends thank you :) |
Question: Do you think my mom and her sister should make up or no? Posted: 27 May 2016 12:57 AM PDT I'm just going to start out by saying I love my mom and my aunt both and I will try not to make this explanation biased (also sorry for the long story). So mom and her other 5 siblings all have the same business in the shrimp farming industry selling products to shrimp farmers so their all kinda competing with each other but not really because they live in different districts if that makes sense. Anyways my mom started buying products from one of her sisters to sell at her shop but my mom's customers started complaining about the product she bought from her. My mom then called my aunt up and told her that her customers we're complaining and I guess kinda critiquing her product a bit. My aunt on the other hand took it the wrong way and later on her and her husband blocked my mom from calling her again. When my great grandmas funeral happened my mom and her had to see each other again and my aunt tried talking to my mom but my mom didn't want to speak with her. Fast forward to now and my aunty is spreading rumors about my mom saying that she's trying to steal her customers and just telling people not to buy products from my mom. Luckily my moms brother stood up for my mom and called to tell her what was happening and that my aunt even told my grandma about it. I really don't understand why they keep feuding with each other and why they can't make up because I miss my aunty, but at the same time she's really changed and I can tell. |

Question: My apologies about the typos? Posted: 26 May 2016 11:41 PM PDT My apologies I was half sleep, when the last question was written. What I stating was thaty friend's relatives are wishy washy when it comes to money. Mainly her aunt, she saids one thing and turns around a goes back on her word. She even ask her aunt to not talk to her uncle, because she trust her auntie with info about her money wise. When her uncle asked about her pay and how much, her auntie just sat there, trying not to get involved. |
Question: Mom hadn't come home Thought she was either dead or was in a car accident? Posted: 26 May 2016 11:34 PM PDT A few days ago, my mother didn't come home. My sisters and I waited till around 11:30pm (she was suppose to get home around 5:00-5:30) and when the police got there, my sisters were crying and I didn't have a single emotion when thinking about my mom. Is there something wrong with me? Also, I am not sure if the reason I didn't cry is because I had an abusive father and a really really hard life. I honestly feel like a robot. I don't have any emotions. I am 14 years old. |
Question: My mom is impossible? Posted: 26 May 2016 11:07 PM PDT Hey, I'm 18 years old, and I think my mom has serious issues. for 1, she thinks everyone is out to get her. She honestly believes that me and my siblings want her dead. She went to the hospital and stayed a week in intensive care, and just because I didnt visit her everyday (because she told me not to) She thinks i want her dead and want the apartment to myself and that we are plotting to have her dead. She also thinks everyone has bad intentions. For example, I have a friend who is a photographer, and so he asked me if i wanted any pictures. We were already outside and so i took a few pictures. They came out beautiful. When i showed them to my mom, she first said they looked nice but after 3 pictures she said "you shouldnt let him take any more pictures. He stays with all those pictures and you dont know what he does with them. He can edit your body and put it on pornography sites." she manages to turn any happy moment into something uncomfortable or sad. She suffers from extreme depression, has attempted suicide, and she is very overprotective. She doesnt give me keys to the house, my curfew is 8 if i have school, If i don't have class she doesnt see why i should be out at all, so i stay in most times in the summer... Its all really frustrating and i dont know what to do. |
Question: What are ways to deal with my stepsister??? And not get angry? Posted: 26 May 2016 11:03 PM PDT My mom recently has remarried like 3 months or less after the death of my dad. ( they've known each other from high school) she has 3 kids and he has 2 kids. They are the ages 16 and 14... The 14 year old really annoys me at times because of her attitude. She always complains about how she's the only getting in trouble. I don't know why, but i feel really mad when she's on me and my twin sister's laptop..like she owns it. During the last 2 months of school left, she got jealous that their dad was living with my mom andshe lived with her grandmother and her sister. (She goes to different schools than me) My twin sis have always had to be in the same room since we were born because our grandmother lived with us. But she had moved out recently, so we were excited to be having our own room, but then one of us had to share a room with the stepsister because she got jealous.. that made me really mad. So what do I do with the situation? ??? |
Posted: 26 May 2016 11:01 PM PDT My sister was talking about how me and my generation (i'm a millennial) are failures. To all of her friends, two nights before her wedding. Simply because I refused to accept that my facebook profile picture looks like crap, in her opinion. Would it be wrong if I called her out for being a racist ***** and being against interracial marriages? My sister is against interracial marriages and I think she is racist for that* |
Question: I need advice on my sister? Posted: 26 May 2016 10:56 PM PDT My sister is 16 but people keep mistaking her for late 20s and even 30. She wears a lot of makeup and contours her face making it look much older than her age. I tell her to stop wearing so much as she's getting hit on by 25+ and AND a man who was mid 40s asked her if she wanted to make some money and she told me she was going to go with him!! My mum is into staying out drinking and my father doesn't live with us so she really isn't getting parenting she needs. I'm worried for her..she has dated a 25 year old last year when she was 15. Any suggestions on what to do? |
