Next year, my two special ED friends aren't going to my school, so all I have left is him. When I entered middle school I was only friends with him, and it wasn't until this year that I actually made any more. my two special ED friends are the only people I know that share any of my tastes, and most of the time my other friend and I just make George Bush jokes because we practically agree on nothing. The whole night was just hell for me, I felt like such a loser and also felt like I was being judged for everything I was doing. I could hear a couple of my so called "friends" making fun of me because of the type of music I was playing. I didn t make eye contact with them or ask them about it because I wanted to make it seem like I didn t notice. We went to go eat after and I sat at the edge of the table. I got my food last and was made fun of it for it, and the whole time it was just awkward for me because I knew I was the one person that didn t get along with everyone else. At one point my "friend" I think told me to leave and he even slid in "I can find a different ride home". I was just out of there, I was so uncomfortable because I felt like the outcast. Note that I was really close with these guys in high school and at this point we have completed one year of uni. To sum it all up, I feel like I don t belong in this group anymore and it was just so embarrassing i dont know really what to do. |

Okay so I have a friend and we both come from a single income family and we're not poor but it's really hard to buy nice things with the money (or lack of) that we have. But she clearly doesn't accept this. She steals money from other people at school even people in her own family, and pretty much anyone she can and takes things from stores sometimes,. And she NEVER gets caught. She's been able to get all kinds of things. Michael Kors wallet, Calvin Klein things, getting her nails done, expensive shoes, makeup, clothes, backpack, food. She now has a credit card and always has cash in her wallet. How is she getting away with this? Its really frustrating that she gets to buy all these things and I can't. And she does whatever she wants. Drinks at school, smokes weed, parties, and she barely even shows up bc she skips classes to hangout with her boyfriend. But she never gets in trouble. She just texts in class when she comes & is usually late but the teachers don't yell at her and still give her good grades even though she doesn't do her work. Plus she cheats a lot sells drugs sometimes. She & this other girl just bought gold jewelry & $600 concert tickets that I really wanted but can't afford. it's so annoying cause I feel left behind now that she's got all this money & just does what she wants. I'm just really confused, how come she does so well & is able to do whatever she wants, but not me? |

My family never leaves our town and rarely does anything because my dad never wants to go anywhere and we're all afraid to oppose anything he says. I lived with a friend for a while a couple years ago and I was absolutely amazed at how much her family got out and did fun things. I desperately want to get out of my house and my situation and go do things and make friends, but I really don't know how. Whenever I ask my friend about why people don't want to hang out with me he always gives me vague answers that don't help anything. I'm aware that my family and I are the problem, and I just want to know what I can change to get people to actually like me and hang out with me a little. |

My freshman and sophomore year I had so many friends, I always talked to people, went everywhere and did everything with pretty much everyone. A lot of people actually liked me and wanted to hang out with me. Since junior year I ve been keeping to myself. It s like I always have a problem with all of my friends and everyone I meet. I either find people too annoying or too rude or have too much drama. I m not conceited or anything. I have absolutely no self-esteem. I care way too much about what people think now. I try too hard to not be the kind of person I, for some reason, find annoying now. I m sure the reason I ve lost all my friends because of my sudden negativity. As much as I am annoyed with being around people, I get so upset about being alone. I hate being alone. But when I go somewhere with someone I want to go home and sleep. I can t enjoy myself or my company. When someone wants to hang out with me, which is very rare now, I find an excuse to stay home. All I want to do is sleep and I ll go days without talking. I don t think I m depressed because why would I be out of no where and why would it last this long? What is wrong with me? How can I snap out of this? Please I need advice. Thanks. xx |

There's a guy A and a guy B, they don't know each other but they go to the same school as me and they are as old as I am. During autumn of last year I started hanging out with guy A and guy B and things were fine at first but then something happened with guy A. He started getting more and more distant from me and he just lost interest, or if he even had any to begin with since he's never contacted me unless he wanted me to do his chores, like the time when he called me and asked me if I wanted to come over to his place and clean his garage? Yeah, what a total @sshole he is and I hate him for it! I've cut my ties with guy A for good now. And guy B has been acting strangely lately too, he's been friends with some girls for pretty much his entire life, or well, from the beginning of Kindergarten and I understand that he has a strong connection to them and he enjoys to hang out with them, and not because he's attracted to them but because they're his actual friends. But that is no excuse to hang around me and just sit next to me an d not really talk to me unless he needs a favor or something he wants to ask me, and then be all crazy when the girls show up, because then he just leaves me and I've been treated like this on multiple occasions during my life and it's heart-breaking to just be left like that. We have work together this summer but after that I will cut him off for good. |

My birthday went from being planned by my mum till I was 14 to being planned by my best friend. Ever since I was 15 my birthday always lasted for 3 days straight! It was always a big deal that people talked about for weeks later... But this year I'm in a new country half way across the world with no one. I have met people but I'd rather spend my birthday alone than with people I barely know. And I don't want to sulk alone in my room drinking myself to sleep. I want to make the most of it but I don't know what to do! I can't go to a spa and pamper myself because honestly the few places I've been to didn't seem to legal if you know what I mean. I can't go to my favourite restaurant because I haven't found one in this city yet. Another opstical is that not a lot of people here speak English and I haven't learned Chinese yet. I'm not good at being alone. I need help any suggestions? All I have till now is buying myself presents and getting a pedicure. |

I'm always the one to provide the alcohol, I usually cover the cost for all of it and they don't really offer to pitch in. Recently they have actually been able to somehow get their own alcohol (yes we are in high school, my brother buys mine but I've always been responsible and my parents know), anyways, when they get their own alcohol they never invite me to their kickbacks or even sound somewhat excited when they invite me. At first I never really though that they were just using me but recently we were gonna go to a party and I was going with a couple friends they don't know and they text me saying like "we need bottles tho" and stuff. It's really starting to bug me so I feel like I should just tell them that I'm just gonna stop drinking and see how they react. I mean, summers in a couple weeks so of course they are gonna wanna drink a lot and I'm their only alcohol connect. What do you think about this? If I do go out to drink in summer I think it would only be with this girl I'm close too and her friends but I know that they will just think I'm leaving them. Thoughts? |

And I'm just scared that I won't have as many parties, trips and days out as I did last year. I'm just scared everything is going to be done without me and I'm going to miss out. What can I do?? |
| Question: My friend takes my phone? Posted: 29 May 2016 10:19 AM PDT I have one friend who doesn't have a phone, and probably won't get one until high school. She always takes my phone, using a lot of battery, texting my friends without permission, and taking selfies. I know she just feels left out, but I don't want that to mean wasting my data and downloading random games for her. I tried adding a passcode, but then she got mad at me and started begging me to unlock it. If I tell her no, her immediate response is, "Well excuse me, I don't have a phone, and that's not my fault! I won't spend a long time on it!" How do I respond to this? I'm getting the new iPhone soon, and I really don't want her taking it and using it more than I do! She gets upset kind of easily, so how should I respond to this, and have you ever gone through something like this? |
| Question: My friend's dad caught us smoking weed... Plz help? Posted: 29 May 2016 09:58 AM PDT I go to a boarding school and I went over my friends house for the weekend. We were Chillin most of the time but on the last day we smoked. I guess my friend took pics of me and him smoking for the hype of it and his phone got taken away and his dad went through his messages. While going through his messages and phone he saw the pictures of us. I heard that he is coming to the boarding school to rat us out I guess, cuz his dad is a cop. However, I'm not completely sure if this will happen. What should I do now should I just wait it out and accept what's going to happen? Is there any clever way around this? |

It just gets under my skin. I have a friend that constantly talks crap and uses the phrase I'm just messing with you. In my eyes that's just an excuse for someone to keep meessing with me. I'm going to have a chat with him about it once again. I might still hang with him once in awhile but I definitely am fed up with it. |

Last night my best friend got invited to hangout with her other friend (who's also my friend) but anyway let's call my best friend J, and my other friend G, so they were hanging out with some other girls and a few guys. They were up until 7 am and even drank some beer and a lot of people hooked up. She told me all about it in this morning cuz last night I felt like a worried mom lmao. It seems so fun to just hangout with people having fun. I'm not interested in drinking or having sex (I'll like make out with a guy but that's it) but I do want to be invited. My friend said they're doing it again next weekend and I should come. I really want to. There's one problem, my parents are SO. FREAKING. STRICT. I'm barely allowed to have sleepovers. So I have no way to bring this up without being asked 100 questions and probably being picked up at like 10, since its at G's house, and they don't know her. I probably won't even be able to go to her house let alone sleepover. And I can't say I'm sleeping over at Js because they'd either say no or want to pick me up in the morning or call J's mom. I'm a good kid, I don't do bad stuff and have no interest in doing it. I won't have sex (I already made a vow), I won't drink (I hate the flavor anyway, and no I haven't gotten drunk, the only experience I have is Mass wine), I probably won't even vape. I just want to have fun with my friends and maybe experience my first kiss. How do I get permission to go? Help! |

I always am the one asking people if they want to do things, and I feel like it's just really hard for me to make friends. I have some people that I get along with and sit at at lunch, but I don't have a best friend. | Posted: 29 May 2016 09:17 AM PDT Okay, I have a new doctor and my local hospital has a new set up. I have a new medical team that works with me. I live in a small town and everyone knows everyone else or knows what they want to know about each other. One of the people on the medical teams is friends with people in my family who are nothing but trouble makers with me, always trying to ruin my character. What is striking to me is this. I looked on Facebook and this doctor is personal friends with them. When I looked on her Facebook page, I am not able to send a friend request but she is friends with them. During my appointment, she asked me about mutual people we might know, she denied knowing my mom and dad and acknowledged knowing my relatives. She worked with both my mom and dad at one point and seemed to forget conversing me several time in the past. Not to mention she sees me in the gym several times a week for years. It isn't a big deal, personally, but considering that this person is in a position to give me medical advice, Am I wrong to be a little distrusting of her? I was given the impression she thinks something negative about me and my parents due to her friendship with the others. What would you do? PS: Me and my parents are good people. We are not law breakers and don't get into trouble. We don't start trouble. Sadly, in this small town, druggies and trouble makers have more friends. |
| Question: Why wasn t I invited? Posted: 29 May 2016 09:16 AM PDT I have these family friends I have been close to forever and they live in the town next to us. I m a teenager. Last night, I went to a concert with my friend and her best friend from school (the three of us are all good friends). After, her friend from school slept over but i wasn t invited. I thought the night was really fun and since we are all friends I am not sure why she didn t invite me too. My brother is friends with her brother and he slept over (it was his birthday and he went to a baseball game their sleepover was planned for a while). I guess I m just a little hurt that she didn t invite me and I can t think of any reasons for why. |

Their two children (5 and 10 years old) is with me now, and they have no idea about their father. Gosh the only thing the girl is worried about is her maths exam tomorrow, and I wish I could do something better than offering to help her study mathematics. What can I do for this girl when she's in the last minutes that she's content with her life? Maybe she won't feel happy for a long time after today, so while she's okay now, I want to make her feel even better. |

We have a house in Italy, and it has over 7 bedrooms in it. Thia year itll just be my mom me and her in this house, i have my own room and so does my mom so she has 5 rooms to choose from. But she wants to sleep in my room.. Idk about that, i want my own space, she can have her own room.. How do i say that to her? Maybe i just let it be? Idk.. |
