However, I feel like we may be drifting apart and it makes me feel so sick because even though i have 3 other close friends, i am closest to my best friend obviously. Anyway, i feel like she's increasingly getting jealous of me and the things I do. It started around a year ago when I went out for a day with my (female) cousin and stayed out a little later than usual. She started going on about how I never want to stay out till late with her. Anyway, when i put pics up now as my dp she always points out things like oh your clothes are see thru (which they really aren't). She now tells me yesterday that the confirmation says June 17th-20th. I will be in Aruba on vacation those days. She obviously made a mistake when she booked it, and she's trying to put some of the blame on me. I never agreed to those dates because I won't even be in the country! We clearly discussed the 2nd to the 4th. To make matters worse, it's $300 a piece for the June dates versus $100 that was originally planned for the 4th of July. I'm not paying her $300. If anything I'll pay $100 for the July dates that I agreed to. Why should I pay 3x that amount for her error? She's pissed but it's not my fault. It's not my mistake. Am I right? |

(I'm 22 btw) Then he asked me "Are you tall or short?" I told him "WTF why are you asking these weird questions?". He told me "Because I am tall for my age and I just want to if you or anyone is like me". I don't know he just seems so into me even though he just heard my voice and does not know me or even know what I look like!! I can sense that he wants to keep talking to me and I don't want that! Posted: 22 May 2016 12:57 PM PDT So after completing my first year at a uni, my best friend (whos also attending) informed of her transferring to another country with her family (she had no control over this decision) and now I just feel empty AF. We relied on each other a lot throughout the years (pre uni + uni) and now that shes leaving I just have no motivation to continue. Of course I chose the place an the degree because I wanted to. My decisions were not influenced by her because I knew that even if we chose different unis, she will still live at home and that will never be too far for me if i wanted to come over (or vice versa). Now, everytime i go to the campus, Im reminded of her and I just dont want to be there. I have no motivation to commute (2hrs one way) and not only I want to transfer somewhere else, I dont think I want to carry on with my degree. I now this is a temporary feeling that will pass overtime but I really dont know what to do with my life, she she was the one that motivated me and made me want to work hard for my dreams. I know a lot of time hasnt passed. Its only been a few days since I found out but I really dont know how to get over it . Im not shy but I just find it hard to make friends. I know life goes on and i have goals to complete but I just cant make myself care since she is the only thing thats taking over my mind right now... how can I get over it and move on...think clearly? And fun to hang out with but most of what she says makes me disagree and angry. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion so I respect it, and maybe in the end it s me whose being dumb but heres some of what she says that makes me upset: She believes that we should build a wall and ban Muslims. I asked what about if it were Christians(She is christian) and if she had christian family, they would be banned from coming in. She said "good whatever keeps us safe." She also believes that vaccines cause autsim. That models should only be skinny. Bigger models shouldnt be models at all. I quit a job recently where we both worked because the manager was quite racist and told me to watch out for black people because "they steal". And that she doesn t hire black people. My friend said it wasn t racist and they do steal and so does every other race. "white people steal too does that make it racist?" | Question: How to get my friend to care again? Posted: 22 May 2016 12:10 PM PDT My friend says they don't care and won't let themselves care about or friendship because they don't want to be hurt again. The reason they claim they were hurt is because I didn't see how much they cared about me for years until now, after things kind of fell apart. I told them all the ways I DID see it, but I am just incapable of having relationships with people. I can't see things that other people do, I don't understand love and I have a hard time showing it and identifying it in myself. They don't care any more, and won't "let them self" make any effort towards caring again. I try to make the point that now I better and have learned a lot about my way of coping and functioning, and can accept and thank people who show care for me now, but I'm not sure how to tell them and get them to try again. |

Posted: 22 May 2016 11:56 AM PDT 12:00 Woke up had breakfast with my friends at a cafe. 3:00Went to the movies to watch civill war. 6:00 drove around met a lot of people, got pizza and lots of other good stuff. 7:00 Went to a party and met an awesome, beautiful girl just like me, artistic amazing perspective on things, and just awesome. 10:00 left wasted with many friends singing and screaming and laughing walking down the road. 10:45 went to a bar and caught up with some friends. 12:00 got a ride home, from somebody NOT wasted (lol ikr lucky me). 12:30 got home watched a movie and went to bed. 9:30 this morning woke up getting ready to make a living, all is boring until, until I noticed I got her number on my phone. I know this isn't technically a question but just a reminder for all those people out there, who believe they have no friends...... Your just young. |

Posted: 22 May 2016 11:51 AM PDT I have been on the job for a year and a half, which is about average, but it seems like everybody puts me down when they find the right opportunity to. I know more of my job than over half of the people that works in my department. People always look at how I dress, they dress the same. They see I m doing something different, they want to do something different. When someone new starts, and if I am training them, everybody starts saying that I can t train. Jokes are petty, but it makes times past by, im cool with that, but Im always the target. Haircuts that I get, some other coworkers get the same exact cut. When I talk during meetings some people have that frustration look on their face like, shut up! Im very anti-social at work. A lot of people ask me am I gay. They didn t believe I lived alone at first. Idk. Everytime I turn around someone is looking at me, including my supervisors. Its so old, to where Im used to everything now. When I make a mistake, the whole job knows it. When Im having that perfect day, nobody notices. |

Growing up they always favored his sister Denise over him. Denise is the go-getter. In school she was aggressive with school work and got involved with sports and clubs. Plus she was super popular. Later in college she graduated with a good nursing degree and their parents couldn't be more proud. Robert was just an average guy, did things at his own slower pace, and was more of the artistic type in school. He found a simple job, not many friends though, and was always a very quiet guy. It all worked for Robert; however his parents could care less what he did because they favored Denise. Once Robert told me his parents admitted that he had failed them, and plus with all the attention Denise got it really affected him. One week Robert was really depressed and later I found out he had hung himself. At the funeral his parents really just wanted to get things over with and talking to them I discovered they honestly felt relief that Robert was gone, like he was an embarrassment to them. I really felt they never had any love for my friend. It was terrible to hear that. Denise actually joked about her brother being a slacker. Is this normal? Do some parents neglect one child in favor of another? Like the last thing I remember Robert telling me was that he understood no one needed him around anymore, and that he would go away. He was such a nice guy though! Why would his parents do that? |

I suffer from anxiety centering around going to school/talking to people, but it's gotten better now. In short this made me wary of trusting people my age (mostly girls). I have 2 female friends I've known since 1st grade. They don't respond to my messages (I've even had nightmares where I was dying & they refused to answer), they make plans in front of me & I suspect that they think I'm too square to hang out w/ them because I don't smoke weed, enjoy underage drinking & I'm asexual, so basically I'm one of the most boring people to hang out with in their eyes. I had a breakdown of sorts because of all of this. As dumb as it is I was self harming a couple weeks ago because of how overwhelmingly alone I felt (I've stopped now). I went to see a movie with them & even paid for one of them. During the movie they didn't do anything but whisper to eachother. The ride home was silent. It didn't seem like a big deal but when I got home I was crying in my bed thinking that they secretly hated me & that it wouldn't matter if I was dead, basically just panicking. I told them I needed a break. They said they were sorry and didn't mean to hurt me. I do miss talking to them, but I know this is better for me. It's been a week since then & I don't really know where to go from here. I don't really want to cut ties. Do you think I'm just overreacting & need help, or do you think they're bad friends? |

Posted: 22 May 2016 11:39 AM PDT i've known her for like 1-2 years and we've been through so much and she's like a sister to me. but ever since 2016 started our friendship has been going downhill. she started liking this guy in january and she's been obsessed with him ever since. she never listened to me that much anymore. she never invites me to hang out with her. i always make the plans. i feel like she doesn't like hanging out with me. she always asks her other friend to go to the mall with her, to the beach, sleepovers, etc. and theyve only started talking since august 2015. she never made plans with me since august 2014 (when we became friends). you can call me jealous but idrc. we get into little fights. this past week, we've gotten into 2 fights. one because i went over to a friends house and she got jealous cause she thought we were excluding her even though we were on a project for my history class which she isnt in. and secondly because i didnt answer call when she was at the girls house (the one she always asks to hang out with). she then told me "fine bye don't text me until your done being annoying" and i was just saying "no, i cant talk rn". idk what to do in this. i'm scared that if i tell her how i feel rn, that she might laugh or screenshot it and send it to other people. |

He has a gf and has said it but previously he's mentioned going to eat, caught him staring, random texts/excuses to talk to me like can you check if my grandma is home. So are these the signs? We also got into an argument when I called him out on it and he wouldn't admit to his interest in me(saying he has a gf he's happy with) and we aren't talking(it ended pretty badly as I told him to not make excuses to talk to me and not message me). He still comes to his g'mas everyday and smiled at me when he was parked behind my car and I needed to back out my car. I feel like he's scared to text me or talk to me but he still shows up to his grandma's apt everyday. He smiled at me the other day when he saw me outside(we haven't talked for a year).
