Posted: 12 May 2016 08:55 PM PDT I'm organizing a bachelor weekend party for my best friend's wedding. I'm his best man. One of the groomsmen is the bride's kid brother (21 yo). I don't really know him but the groom says he's like the rest of her family, very very religious. He said, "I wouldn't say he's a fanatic, but he's a fanatic." Apparently he doesn't drink and there is going to be a lot of alcohol the whole weekend long. (We're renting a cabin in the mountain, doing zipline and whitewater rafting). So does he get an invite or not? I'm not wanting some wannabe preacher boy telling us thou shalt nots all weekend long. On the other hand having another man along reduces the price of the cabin, and probably the food as well. If he doesn't get an invite he'll be the only groomsman, except the ring bearer (natch) who doesn't get an invite. |

Question: Marriage without love? Arrangement marriage? Posted: 12 May 2016 06:10 PM PDT Why some people getting married with strangers and believes that one day they will love each other. Or they definitely will learn on how to love each other. Pffff..Not me. But now, I'm stuck here when my family asked to marry someone that they like. (or maybe bcos that guy telling my family that he likes me!) Coz they believed, sooner or later,I will love him. What should I do then. I keep saying no for three years!!!! But that guy, still come to my family and wants to marry me. If you were in my shoes, what would you do guys. =( |

Question: How much would it cost for a small simple wedding? Posted: 12 May 2016 02:44 PM PDT I recently got engaged and I was just wondering how much a wedding really costs? I want a simple small wedding so my questions are How much was your wedding? How big was it? Is there any advice you want to give? Any ways to save money? Thanks! :) |
Posted: 12 May 2016 01:32 PM PDT Me and my cousin are very very close. How ever we are 15 years apart ( I m younger). Before she was ever planning for marriage she would always say "you and Sally will be in my wedding or be bridesmaids." Today I learned she is picking 5 or 6 brides maids I know one is her sister ( maid of honor) and possibly sister in law. Then she is having a lot of the grooms family in the wedding party. I just don t understand this and I need opinions because I was really hoping to be in the wedding do you think there is a slight chance I could be still? I just don't think it's right to say something a year before any of this and not go through on it. I'm trying not to take it personal but it's hard |
Question: Opinions on not inviting my father to my wedding? Posted: 12 May 2016 12:33 PM PDT I've already decided not to invite him and his wife, but came here because part of me has been listening to too many people about how wrong I am. My parents are divorced. They shared custody of me until I was 15, when my stepmothers verbal and mental abuse came out. It didn't really come out to everyone, because my father knew and had begged me to keep it from my mom. But then I snapped and realized I couldn't take it any more (my half sibs were starting to say some of the same things). Mom went back to court and after presenting the evidence of the abuse, won custody of me. That was the last time I saw my stepmother or half sibs. My father and I have seen each other a few times, but not out of choice, honestly. I decided not to invite him when my fiancé and I first got engaged. He supports my decision because he knows how difficult I found it after he chose her over me and allowed her to treat me the way she did. But between family members and some friends, they've said it would be damaging not to invite him and it would make things better if I did invite them. Especially, according to them, since my mom remarried and she (my mom) will be walking me down the aisle. I chose her because she's been the best and has supported me since the day I was born. She's my rock and I couldn't love her more. He didn't stop it. He allowed it to continue for years. It was only when my mom found out and I no longer went there that it stopped. |
Question: Witty wedding hashtag help? Posted: 12 May 2016 11:49 AM PDT My best friend is getting married. She wants it to be a Christmas wedding. Question: My fiance is getting cold feet!? Posted: 12 May 2016 11:43 AM PDT My fiance and me are having a wedding in September and just this morning he says he is getting cold feet. We are supposed to get our marriage license tomorrow. He says its not just that, his work is also stressing him out. I know he loves me and he said that he does want to marry me. Should I just give him space? |
Question: My fiance and his father are fighting and i dont know how to feel about it? Posted: 12 May 2016 10:39 AM PDT My fiance and i are expecting a baby in augest. My fiance and i have agreed that i would be a stay at home mother. It means alot to him that he would be the soul provider for our soon to be family. Long befor we got pregnant and engaged i met his father and his stepmother and his half siblings. They are difficult people. Ever since things gave gotten more serious between my fiance and i his father has become more open about how hes unhappy with the way that we are going to live our lives. |
Question: I m looking for a beach in California to get married on! Help please!? Posted: 12 May 2016 10:34 AM PDT My fiance is a marine and we re going to get married in August in California. I m looking for a place to have my wedding AND reception on the beach around San Diego. If you know of any place that do that or places on the sand to have both then I d love to know! |
Question: Destination wedding save the date/invitation etiquette? Posted: 12 May 2016 07:18 AM PDT Do save the dates and invitations go out to everyone? Is there any way to combine the two so we can figure out who is planning on going and who isn't? Seems like a waste of money to send both to everyone knowing that most won't be in attendance. Suggestions appreciated! |
Question: Destination wedding? Posted: 12 May 2016 06:42 AM PDT Can someone tell me the best but inexpensive destination wedding locationstuff? |
Question: How much do engagement rings usually cost? Posted: 12 May 2016 04:54 AM PDT My boyfriend asked me last night how much an engagement ring should cost. I told him probably about $500. I said this because I'll only be wearing this one until we actually get married and I think it makes more sense to spend more on the actual wedding ring. Does this sound about right? I mean, I know there's no "set" amount, but how much did you pay? |
