Or today I went to the bathroom at my dorm and someone was taking a shower and I walked in and I was so focused on myself in that moment that as I left I forgot the other person was in the bathroom and as I was leaving I turned the lights off and she responded and I snapped out of it and turned them back on and apologized. It's weird because one time I zoned out while my mom was talking to me and as she was talking I could hear her, but did not catch the content of what she was talking about it was like her voice became background noise. I eventually regained focus and asked her what she had said. Is this normal? |

Amazingly she said yes and our relationship has been very good. A few months ago I decided to tell her about my infertility. To an even bigger surprise she didn't dump me over that. My boyfriend of 5 years who lives 10 hours away from my city. His grad walk ceremony in seven days but didn't invite me for the same. His parents are coming from India who actually dislikes me for I belong to a different social status (they practically hate everyone including their immediate family). I had told him a month ago that I want to attend the ceremony however he had told me that he is okay with me coming there but he will be busy with his parents who are staying in a hotel near the university (I'm not allowed to show up in front of his patents). I explained to him that I will be able to manage transportation and will get a hotel for the entire duration but he said we'll discuss it later. I've noticed that he makes me his priority all the time except when his parents are included in the options. He has a great job and we have decided to get married by next year as he said that his mother accepted our relationship.I don't blame his parents. He is an adult and should be able to use his judgement in any situations. I'm not sure if I should attend the ceremony without letting him know or just let it go as he clearly doesn't want me to be part of it. I just feel that i'm too old to hide away from my boyfriends' parents. Any suggestions will be highly appreciated. |

It was immediately weird with his ex. He was secretive about me, which was upsetting and I confronted him right away. We discussed it rigorously and soon he apologized convincing me nothing was wrong and he had the upmost respect for both of us. We have been together now for over two years and this whole time they continue to text and occasionally hang out. I've tried to be trusting and kind towards their freindship. Sadly admitting my snooping, I check his phone every once in a while. The first time I checked was early on, and he had months and months worth of texts from a plethora of people but had deleted our conversations as well as his conversations with his ex. After that I would sometimes find texts between them that seemed relitively freindly, or a few of "I was passing by your place and wanted to say hey..." Sort of things (which sounds bad but nothing decernable). Then recently he mentioned having been talking to her the past couple days, but when I checked his phone it appears he is deleting the whole conversations again. I'm strongly expereincing trust issues at this point. The idea of a break up is hard as I am extremely close to his family and I care about him. I'm afraid to approach him because he becomes extremely angry over how much we have already discussed it. (That being that every time we discuss it he says "trust me" or "I'm in love with you not her."It all feels very confusing. I would appreciate any advice. |

Mind u her 40 yr old son n my 21 yr old brother live here too n there jobless they refuse to work. When I moved in I had no job but I've been blessed n got one 6 months ago I'm the only one working in the house. I'm on the lease they arnt I pay rent as well. Ok, when I leave for work she lets them steal my stuff that I work so hard for I told her about this she said shell talk to them it has happened several times over the last 6 months to the point I cant keep batteries in my own room. I told her I refuse to pay anymore rent until she does something about this. Am I wrong they act as if I'm the problem n that I a 20 yr am to take care 3 grown adults on minimum wage in trying to find my own place for now. Any advice would be great. |

This my one friend that plays on the football team is a receiver who is kind of mediocre. Long story short, he's been working really hard all week. He's been making a couple of big plays against our best cornerback, who is probably going to get recruited by a D1 college. This has actually sort of brought tension between these two guys. At the end of practice when we were heading into te lockerroom my friend that's really cocky said to my other friend "Just wait til we get in full pads tomorrow. I'm gonna crack your little a**". Long story short, when they got into the locker they got into a full on fist fight which had to be broken up. I'm Usually A Person Who is dead set against fighting, but in this case, I kind of see it justified because, football is a physical sport. Aggression really helps gets the intensity leval higher. I think if my two friends keep having this sort of tension on the field, it will make them both better. What do you guys think? I'm just really curious to hear other people's opinions in this. |

I need to get my camera repaired but i m not sure how to go about it. Do i just walk into the camera store or do i need to call first. Is that courteous or pointless? i know this store does a mostly repair and retail, but i m getting a ride with a friend and it s about an hour away and i don t want to mess it up. I just have no clue and thinking about it makes me nervous. What if there s two counters; do i just go to one and be like, hey can you fix this, i m not sure what s wrong ? Or then should i mail it to them (i don t have to go with the friend), but then there s the problem, should i call them and say it s on it s way so a random camera package doesn t just show up? How would they bill me? If anything, i ll handle it as i normally do, slowly and with a smile. Laughing if i appear really really stupid. So he's my favorite guy to hang out with! :) Last weekend, he was over and he did that on me for about 20 minutes, then he held me and snuggled me against his chest for about a half hour while tickling my arms up and down. Sadly, over the years I've develop minor hearing issues, mainly the ringing, "wind", and thumping, along with temporary hearing loss associated with these. The people at school aggravate these conditions, intentionally and not. The people on my bus (and sometimes in my class) are loud, and the noise has sometimes led to, you guessed it, my ears ringing, hurting, and/or me temporarily losing a (decent?) amount of my hearing. Even the slightest, unexpected loud noise cause my ears to hurt, making me lose focus entirely. I can't drown them out enough, because if I do, I miss what's important, but I can't go on with this. My hearing issues are progressively getting worse with every week, and just now I had to yell at a student for popping bubble wrap, and I had to beg him to stop. Any help? Ideas? Anything I can get to help that costs less than $50? Note: I can't take the medical approach. I wear headphones and they don't help. |

I've had meetings with him & all he tells me is "do my job." I've honestly never worked so hard at a job in my entire life!!! Recently, he brought up problems he had with me when I first started last August. I was unaware of the issue until now in May 9 months later!!! Anyway, he's told me he does not trust me as an employee & is constantly asking me where he went wrong by hiring me & NEVER EVER points out what I'm doing right. I have to present a presentation to various people from Yesterday - next Wednesday. Each day I have to present. He doesn't think I'm prepared. I've worked tons of overtime, I've asked for opinions from other coworkers etc. Yesterday I did an AMAZING JOB!!! He knew it too but never mentioned anything!!! This morning I came in extra early to prepare again & the first thing he said was negative & how he wanted me to stand exactly in a specific place!! This was BEFORE I even clocked in!!! I'm honestly shaking & so nervous. He's told me if these presentations are not absolutely perfect then he's firing me!! I'm not sure what to do I feel as though I'm about to cry I'm so stressed. | Posted: 03 May 2016 11:06 PM PDT I'm a mom of 4 kids. My youngest just recently moved out of the house. I thought I was going to get empty nest syndrome pretty hard, but I haven't. When my daughter first left I first started to feel empty nest syndrome, but I lost it really quick for 2 major reasons. One is I have a lot more time to do other things. I'm an English professor. I have to write a lot as apart of my job, but there's a book I've been wanting to write for years that has nothing to do with my work. However, because of my responsilitities as a mom I never got around to it, but I've been able to spend a good amount of time writing it because my kids are gone now. The other big reason is my relationship with my husband. My relationship with my husband is the best it's ever been and I think it's because we have more time for each other now that our kids are gone. We've started a couple of hobbies together as a couple, we have a lot more romantic date nights, and the sex is better than ever. I feel closer to him than ever before. I feel guilty for not missing my kids. I feel kind of bad that I can't honestly say I want them back in the house. In fact, I really like having them out of the house. Is it bad that I don't miss my kids living with me? Why/why not? |
