Posted: 09 Sep 2015 05:13 PM PDT So today was the first day of school as many know it, and this guy I used to be friends with told me that his other friend was mad at me, because I stopped talking to both of them since they're bad influences, and so one of them said they were going to find my house or already did and do something. I'm not sure exactly what is going to happen, but I'm kinda nervous because I don't want to get hurt since I don't want to be friends with them anymore, and I blocked them on Facebook too. I have no one to turn to and talk to about this, which made today a bad day for me, and a bad way to start my next semester of high school. Should I learn how to defend myself? Because I've been bullied throughout my whole life, and I'm sick and tired of it. I wanna learn how to fight, how to kick some ***. I'm tired of people walking all over me. Please someone help me I have no one at all in my knowledge. |

Well, I got mad at that point because I thought she was a better friend. She ended up breaking up with Connor to make me happy. I'm senior and currently going to graduate next year. I don't have lot of friends. I just have few. Even though i take high challenged classes i'm not smart... He was funny and everything I adored. 5 years into the friendship there was a failed attempt to become intimate. It has later been discovered we intended to lose our virginity to one another. Years later, I gave birth to a son 2 weeks after his wife and named him after my best friend. 2 years after that, we both were single and ended up sleeping together. 2 years pass and we are both in a place we can see where this goes. At my old school, I knew everyone and they all knew me since it had been a few years and it was a small school and I had the closest friends. Now, I don't know a single person. I can be shy and socially awkward sometimes but I'm totally different when I'm with my friends or anyone I feel comfortable with. It kind of feels like I'll never make friends. I don't want to eat alone or have no social life especially because I would go out with my old friends all the time. Usually when I go to a new school, everyone is welcoming and willing to be your friend but now that I'm in high school, I feel like everyone just has their friends already that they've also had for a few years and they don't want to socialize with anybody else. I want to have the best high school experience but it's been so lonely so far. And I know you're going to be tempted to tell me to join some clubs or sports teams but people will still have their own friends there too. Like I said before, I just can't seem to click with anybody, even the people who also don't have many friends. Even when I try talking to them, it's not exciting and it makes me not want to keep up the conversation. |

It seems awkward, however, to just text some random girl I've never met and ask her to hang out/party. B made two friends that her sister A soon befriended too. A and B had another friend named "S" who befriend one of the girls. Girl #1 is "L" Girl #2 is "Z." The sisters, A & B became very close with L & Z. They hung out all the time, just the four of them. Over the Summer this pattern continued. They were GREAT friends for a year. Suddenly when school was back in session A B & S noticed Z (girl #2 the one they were all friends with) was being anti-social towards them. When A went to science she sat next to Z and said hi, so Z did too but A noticed it was awkward and sounded fake. Long story short Z has been trying really hard to be popular, therefore neglecting her friends. L (girl #1) has followed in her path. Now A B & S aren't friends with them and its super awkward. Z always stares at them, and at first they all thought they were mean stares, but A is starting to notice they look longing. Almost like she misses when she had friends who appreciated her for being herself instead of her make constant ANNOYING efforts to fit in with the popular girls. Today she held the door open for A and although this seems small she absolutely knows she did this on purpose as a small but kind gesture. Is there still hope for the girls friendship to reform if Z finally lets go of whats not meant for her? However the other thing is A B & S don't feel like she'll ever let it go. Btw A is reaally sad they aren't friends anymore and misses when she was just being herself. Now when Z sees the other girls having fun she always looks longingly at them. But it feels like she'll never come back. Also L just does whatever Z does... So what is your advice? Is there no hope for Z? I'm not gonna lie, I left my old school because I thought it was a crappy school with a bad reputation. Also because I do musical theatre and it's what I want to pursue in life, but my old school did not have much classes for that. My new school is doing a production this year, and my old school is not. I entered the new school knowing two people. I did talk to them and they were very friendly but I just did not feel comfortable. I feel awful like I want to cry every minute, I even had a panic attack today on the 2nd day of school and had to go home. I do have the option to go back my old school but I'm so torn if I should stick it out or just go right back to being comfortable. I know I made a mistake for leaving, and I feel terrible but I look at the pros of going to each school and they both seem great. I got myself into this mess so I just feel like I put so much worrying and stress on myself which is not making this easier. |

He says hes experiencing depression over the past year, and that his parents say they lost all hope in him. He tells me that tries to avoid them everyday because they give him negative energy. (School) I feel as if I'm invisible to everyone and like no one cares about me or cares to notices... I'm just the shy ugly little girl that's invisible to everyone, unless they want something from me (to use my glue, pencils, and anything else they might need. They use me). There is this one teacher that actually cares though. She knows my situation because she has gone through it before. Until she got in college, everything has gotten better for her. I doubt that anything will ever go better for me. I have self-esteem that's so low, I don't even care it bother to care about anything anymore... I think I have depression though. About an hour later I woke up to the sounds of laughter and "shhh.. youll wake.. shhh" and more giggling. Then I heard it. The sounds of my roommate and my best friend having sex when they thought I was asleep. They aren't dating or anything and normally I wouldn't care. But my room is right next to my roommates and they were LOUD I didn't get to sleep for 3 hours before they finally stopped. I don't know how I am suppose to face them. Especially my best friend since she doesn't ever sleep with someone she isn't dating. Do I just pretend I wasn't kept awake by them the majority of the night? I hate having to see my ex at my lunch hanging out with this stupid *** popular bitxh i hate the most since she bullies my friends all the time. I hate seeing my best friend with her new best friend, lets call her jane. Every time jane comes around my best friend completely ignores me and it hurts sooo much. All they ever talk about is janes little crushes and drama. And when i tell my best friend how i feel she says that i will always be her best friend and then talks crap about how her mom loves me and hates jane and how jane wears too much makeup. But she always ditches me for her. It hurts soo much because when theyre together they make me feel like crap, they look down upon me. And now im friends with this other girl who i knew from middle school (im a sophomore now) and its just awkward being friends with her i mean shes nice and all but our convos are so awkward. And today i got kicked out of the volleyball team (the one sport i love) because coach didnt have enough jerseys to give out which also makes me feel like crap because if i tell my mom she will be disappointed because when she was young she was really athletic. And i have soooo many more problems but im running outta characters. Just it happened out of nowhere, I believe this is a phase of teenage years or something. I was like this 2 years ago. But I learned how to handle things like a mature person. Ex: I say, "I'm pretty good at this game, and doing (This)" They usually reply, you aren't that good, you are just having good games, or they say i'm playing against bad people. I started my first day of highschool today as a freshman I don't like or hate it. All the time I have this sinking feeling in my chest that I'm alone and lonely. No one feels like a real friend to me. Last year in 8th grade, I had TONS of friends. I was invited to parties (for the first time in my life, I was a loser before 8th grade too) and I actually felt like I had friends to talk to. Now, many of those people that I called friends either moved away or are going to a private school. It's awkward trying to make new friends, because of my social anxiety disorder. I don't know what to do with myself. The people that I used to call "friends" or more "acquaintances" don't even talk to me that much anymore. No one ever texts me first and it seems I'm the one who always has to initiate the conversation. Lunch is the ABSOLUTE worst thing, because I have no one to sit next to. I would have sat with my old friends but sadly they moved away. I used to sit with a group of boys, but I separated myself from them after I realized that they weren't my real friends. They were using me as a front to do bad things and I'd get in trouble for their mistakes. I don't have lunch with any of my "acquaintances" that I could at least sit with. Everyone's already in their own clique or group of friends, and I'm left without one. I have like 10 "school acquaintances.", but no real friends. How can I make some more friends? I don't wanna spend high school by myself. thanx *need moar answers* Just the feeling of being alone for my entire time in high school is legitimately terrifying. I have a couple of slight acquaintances but that's it. I don't know how long I can do this. There's a part of me that's okay with not having a bunch of friends. I'm an introvert. But then there's another part that's not okay with this, because in class I don't have an obvious partner or group for assignments. I have no one to talk to about my interests at all. | Posted: 09 Sep 2015 02:47 PM PDT I m a loser. This isn t really a question, more of a venting of sorts. I m a sophomore in high school, in a town that I moved to five years ago. I have some friends, but none that I truly consider close friends. I m below-average in appearance, even though I try to look my best. I have glasses and bipolar hair that always goes down, never to the side despite my best efforts. On the outside, I display confidence and am probably the funniest kid in my school. ( Not trying to brag, just saying so you know. ) I have a constant need to use humor as a defense mechanism, because on the inside I m a mess. I guess I have decent intelligence, but only when I apply myself. My grades are lower than they should be. Girls either ignore me or think of me as their funny friend. I m a pretty nice guy, but people don t care shot that. Even if I did get the courage to ask a girl out, I wouldn t know what to do. I just can t wait to get out of high school, but will it really get better? It s not like I m suddenly going to become a more " dateable " person. People always say that high school isn t the most important thing in life, but for a high school student it s pretty important. So I guess my question is will my life get better, or will I remain an under-achieving loser my whole life? |

Posted: 09 Sep 2015 02:17 PM PDT i'm really angry i have to vent it out but there's a god damn word limit. alright. my very suspicious friend thinks tht her landlords had stolen her online store's stock list(s) from her room & started an online store which had stolen her customers & had caused her big loss of profits. She thinks the landlords got access into her room bcz I gave them her room keys on the last day I substituted her managing her online store. I argued but she wudn't listen. she just kept insulting me verbally. she said she had collected enough evidence but showed me none. I also asked another friend of ours (her close friend + her neighbor in the same house + consultant of her store) what happened. tht girl told me to stay cool, it's just my friend's slow delivery tht caused customers to flow away. nothing about landlords becoming online rival was mentioned. I'm just so frustrated. How can she ignore the fact tht landlords have SPARE KEYS? Why does she hv to think tht landlords wud steal her stock/stock lists (she always hv this thought in mind)? Why can't she understand tht her online store rival(s) doesn't hv to be her landlords? Why didn't she go question her landlords if they stole her stuff? Why wud she make all these things up and blame it on me?!?! |

I had no clue about him till my ex came to me and said that his friend's mother maiden name is the same name as my last name. Turns out my ex's friend's mother and my father are cousins. They just aren't close, that's why I never knew about him. Anyways, my cousin (my father's brother's daughter) is getting married. I'm the bridesmaid. I found out that my ex's friend, my second cousin is going to be there. The problem is that knowing my ex. He made me out to be crazy, or might have told everyone I cheated on him, that I didn't love him and what not. Knowing my family, we don't keep our mouth shut. No one in family knew about my ex because I knew things were going down hill. I don't know what to say to my second cousin, my exes friend. I want to tell him the truth about my ex but I don't want him telling everyone I'm crazy. My second cousin is close to my family and my family is close to me. So if word gets out everyone will be questioning everyone and taking sides. So, what do I say to my second cousin, my exes friend? There is no way. He won't see me. I'm nothing like my family. They all have black hair and I am a blonde. Once he hears my name he'll know who I am. |

Like everytime I try to talk to her she ignores me and if it's one of the others who are trying to be friends with her she replies instantly. Like when we were going home today she ignored me and decided to pay attention to one of the people that are trying to be her friend. She even decided to walk home with one of them instead of me. It also happened during lunch time when she was being pulled away from me, she told one of the other to come with her instead of me and just left me and ignored me. Recently she has been letting her friend sleep in our room when neither of us are there. I realize I NEED to communicate with her to fix the problem I am just so nervous! When she is at school she is energetic and happy and smiles ad laughs. However she has no friends in her classes so she hates herself and wants to die when she is in classes because of projects and group work. She tries becoming friends with people other than me but she is 13 so everyone already has their "groups". Basically, she is extremely depressed when alone but energetic and happy when with me. Also she doesn't like people very much. She's in 8 grade. She also doesn't like her life much because her parents call her stupid and lower her self esteem. But she feels guilty for feeling this way because many people have it worse than her. She feels no meaning to her life 40% of the time, 30% she feels happy and energetic, 10% she wants to die, 10% she doesn't know what her real self is, and 10% she feels that she wants to be free. She also can't go seek medical help because her parents don't believe she has a form of illness and she doesn't trust her guidance counselor. If she has an illness, can you tell me what kinds of illnesses? |

I know some friends I made at orientation will be in quite a few of my classes next semester, but that's a while away and I'm just really sad now. I sat alone in the library during lunch on my first day. On my way to third period after lunch, I met this girl who was on her way to the same room as me, so I asked her, "Hey, are you looking for Grade 9 Science?" She replied, "Yeah!" and we started talking and sat near each other on the way there. We later figured out that we also have the same lunch (C). We exchanged names (Julia) and talked a bit during science. At first, she seemed nice, but honestly, she's unbearably weird, talkative, and childish. I asked her to meet me at a spot in the top left of the cafeteria during our first time in science and we met there on the second day of school. That's when she started talking and I realized I couldn't handle another day of this, let alone the rest of the semester. She had to run to her next class right after science and on her way out the door, she said, "Top left cafeteria tomorrow!" I tried to look like I wasn't paying attention but I don't know what to do tomorrow! There's a girl in my homeroom who has classes with me as well as the same lunch and she seemed interested in being my friend. I'm going to ask her if she wants to hang out with me tomorrow, but I don't know what to do about Julia! Help! |

Posted: 09 Sep 2015 12:09 PM PDT So, there's this person at work, and I don't know exactly what I have done wrong to make him glare at me, and he's always telling me what I'm doing wrong. I got mad at him last week because he laughed and said to me, "maybe we should ask the mechanics to fix you". He thinks I'm broken because either a) I don't show much flirtation towards men he encourages me to flirt with or... b) I'm too rash, clumsy, and totally not elegant like him (he's flamboyant if you get my drift). I felt hurt, because thats how I am, and I felt offended. The following days, he's been giving me glares, telling me off at times, and hoping for me to leave, and hasn't talked to me as much. I wish it could go back to the old times of us being friendly, but I guess it won't since he's done trying to be nice to me. I want to give him a note saying, "did I do something wrong to make you mad at me? I wish to fix this problem". Or do I have the right to ignore him, be strong until my seasonal job is over, and move on? Should he be the one to say sorry, or is it the right thing (grown up) to try to patch things up? |
