Question: Why are people eloping now and celebrating later when it could all be done at once? Posted: 30 Apr 2020 02:14 PM PDT Due to the current coronavirus I notice a lot of people are eloping now and having a reception later. But why would they want those two significant moments broken up by several months to a year, that's kind of awkward. Wouldn't it make most sense to postpone everything and do ceremony and reception the same day like most weddings go? Why do people marry to get health insurance when by American law all Americans must have health insurance? |
Question: Is next summer too early to have a wedding ? Posted: 30 Apr 2020 11:08 AM PDT Many people are postponing their weddings to next summer due to the current health crisis. But I feel like if people can't have a wedding by this summer, conditions may not be safe even by next year, coronavirus can mutate, and this will probably cause a lot of problems next year as well. They say a vaccine is possibly 18 months away, which means the earliest it's safe to have a wedding is October of next year, and even then it may not be safe. Plus there's the possibility of another virus like this again. I would hate to have a wedding next year and possibly get people sick, that's completely selfish and dangerous, and in fact criminal. I don't think it'll be safe to have big weddings until at least 2022 at the earliest, same with all big gatherings |
