Posted: 02 May 2020 08:54 PM PDT Long story short, we were together for nearly a year & in that year, we created some of the most beautiful memories , and we fell hard and fast for each other. I prayed for him every night & when he finally showed up in my life, I felt so blessed. However, I broke up with him in January because somethings were said and done that hurt me(not going into details) but he tried to fix it and I never forgave him. So I made the choice to leave. The breakup was pretty nasty, it ended in a fight, then he ghosted me for months. He sent me a "best wishes" text a few weeks ago. I spent a couple months feeling anger towards him, and that justified my decision. However now, looking back I realize I made a terrible mistake. I tapped out when things got difficult & the honeymoon phase wore off. Just to be clear, I don't want to call him because I'm lonely and isolated, I want to text him because I really feel like all this extra time was able to help me think about what I want, and what our relationship was. I've learnt that love is not an emotion, but it's an act of unconditional care and mercy. Kind of like Mother Nature ... this is my opinion now. Before, I didn't even have a definition for it. |

My fiance, Kingsley, is minister of finance at the Bank of Nigera. Kingsley an me has been engaged sense 2010 an every time he has agreed to come to America something has come up, his mother had a massive stroke in 2015 just as he was about to get on the plane, he slammed his pecker in a car door in 2017 an was in the hospital, it was always something. Anyway, he asked me if I could pay his BTA (that's basic travel allowence) of $2500, an that I would need to go to the store an get $2500 worth of gift cards an read him off the numbers. I told my mom an stepdad I needed a new transmission an they lended me the money. Kingsley is a million air so I knew I could pay them back. After I sent the money Kingsley said he wanted to transfer all of his money from Nigerian money to American an he could either send me a prepaid Visa card with about 6 million dollers on it an I would have to pay taxes on it as global income or I could just send him my bank info and he could put his money in directly an I wouldn't have to pay taxes on it. HE GOT INTO MY ACCOUNT AN STOLE ALL OF MY MONEY! I had almost 200 dollers in my account an he took it all an didn't put any money in! However, there was this one guy that started liking me first and flirted with me, and somehow, for some reason, I just KNEW that I liked him, like I was 100% sure of it. He talked to me a lot and we made plans to meet up (we couldn't at first because we are both teenagers and my parents are strict and I can't drive and then the whole coronavirus thing happened). However, he just randomly stopped liking me/got bored of me, and it literally broke my heart and I cried so much because he was the first, and so far only, guy that I knew I was in love with that also liked me back. I don't know if I will ever experience that feeling with someone else so it makes me sad. How do I make myself more capable of getting crushes on people so that I can get over him and if another guy likes me I can like him back? |
