Question: How would you feel if your fiance asked to keep your upcoming marriage a complete secret? Posted: 04 Apr 2017 07:25 PM PDT We are LDR, have visited each other numerous times and gotten to know families, children, friends... The fact that we were marrying was never a secret until we chose a date last week. I'm supposed to fly down in 4 months and we're going to courthouse in the Caribbean. The relationship started out beautifully but we've had some difficulties we worked through, or so I thought, nothing serious. We never discussed eloping before and honestly, I'd be ok with that if we had talked about it. His reason for telling me not to share with anyone is because he doesn't want his family meddling in our business. |
Question: My sister is mad because I missed her wedding? Posted: 04 Apr 2017 05:46 PM PDT On miserable that day, I had so many problems. I will spare you the details. But it was the unluckiest day of my life. It was as if god didn't want me to go. I apologized. She wouldn't take it. Saying I'm the worst brother in the world. |
Question: Should we try snorkeling on our honeymoon? Posted: 04 Apr 2017 05:21 PM PDT My fiancee and I were discussing our wedding plans and we decided to do hawaii for the honeymoon. I was thinking about doing snorkeling with her and was thinking about signing us up for an snorkeling excursion. Should we try snorkeling ? Would it be a romantic thing to do ? |
Question: What's wrong with having male bridesmaids/female groomsmen? Posted: 04 Apr 2017 09:17 AM PDT I can't help noticing in MOST weddings I've been to or seen the groom's sister is made a bridesmaid or the bride's brother is a groomsman. Shouldn't they stand with their own sibling? Are people afraid that it will make them upstage the bride/groom and stand out or look odd? Last year a friend went to a friend's wedding and apparently that groom had his female cousin stand with him, because she didn't know the bride very well. That made perfect sense. So why don't people do this more often? I am gay, so having a mixed-gender wedding party is understandable, but if a male friend asked me to stand on his side I would be honoured (same if a female friend asked me to be a bridesmaid). As long as my male friend didn't force me to be a bridesmaid (because HE is the one asking I should be expected to stand with him) merely because of gender. And if I was straight and wanted male relatives/friends to stand with me, why not? |

Question: Should we be responsible for our wedding guest travel expenses? Posted: 04 Apr 2017 08:11 AM PDT OK so as our wedding day is approaching we are looking at our budget and everything is going as planned "money wise". I was talking with my sister and she tells me that she and my other sister feel that we should cover their travel expenses from Atlanta,Ga to Jacksonville,Florida if we want them to attend. I was taken back by this request because I have been to several weddings of family members and friends and I have always had to cover my own expenses.Even to my oldest sisters wedding. I believe this entitlement comes from me and my fiance paying for people who are in the actual wedding party travel expenses if they have to travel. For example my Maid of Honor is traveling from Houston,Texas and 1 of my bridesmaids is coming from Detroit,Michigan so since they are in the wedding party we are covering all their expenses. Then my fiances Best Man is coming from Washington DC and we are covering his travel as well. Let me also say this both of my sisters were initially invited to be apart of the wedding party but both declined saying they would prefer to just attend. Not a problem, but now they want us to pay for their travel. I really want my sisters to be there on my special day but I don't feel like we should have to pay for them to come. Were not paying for any other guests to come I would be willing to pay for their travel if they were apart of my wedding party but since they declined I'm not so much!! |
Posted: 03 Apr 2017 11:20 PM PDT My fiancé after 3 years together still doesn't know how to spell my five letter last name correctly. His excuse? It's a foreign last name. Red flag or not a big deal? (FYI. He was still sexting his ex at the beginning of our relationship which is why this makes me doubt more) |
