He said he was going to invite me to get on a ride, to make up we arranged going someplace later. He acted like a gentlemen that day knocking & opening car door. We had a nice time. Since then we had silly texts also, but then also ones that seemed to be hinting something romantic in a humorous way. I saw him in school more & we got to talk in person more now. Constant reassurance, controlling, holding me to a double standard (She gets to hang out with her friends, but when I want to I get guilt tripped to come home and always give her my full attention? Basically driving a wedge between family and friends). Refusal to make Relationship Public (Her parents still doesn't know I exist after 1.5 years, and they still don't, as well as Facebook, etc.) There's some more, but these signs made me try and break up with her twice, as I wanted her to know my feelings that I couldn't portray by just talking to her as she would justify everything, so I had to have this ultimatum that I do regret doing, but I really wanted to fix the relationship as well but at some points I was at my breaking moments. One day when I visited she was acting distant, I popped the question wanting to try to fix it, she got defensive. Denied it. In the end, admitted it was true, said she hated me for trying to break up with her twice. Told me to leave her place. Drove 3 hours home. We haven't talked for 1.5 weeks now. No reason to quit and find another job because I am attempting to start another business on the side. - Have limited travel experience.
