My husband and I are thinking of starting a family. Our families live around here. His mom said she would babysit for us. The problem is, her and my father in law have one car between them. If she were to watch the baby at our house, she would be without a car since my father in law needs it for appointments and such. We thought about buying a used car for them, or buying a used car we coyld keep at our house for use when she is here How does this work? It would be in our name and we would pay for it, but we would want them to be able to drive and even keeping at their house if they wanted. Thoughts?

So, for many years I have been confused if I am just imagining this and it is just sibling rivalry, but it has been getting progressively worse as time goes on to the point now unless there is absolutely no possible 'explaination' (excuse) for my brothers bad behaviour, any fights or tantrums from him are my fault, and he is treated as though he has done nothing wrong, she solely blames me. And even when he is clearly out of order, my mothers dissaproval has never lasted longer than around 3-4 hours. This is not the only problem. I had my son when I was 16 years old and my mother has custody since he is 2. I'm now 24 and have lived in NY my whole life. It's next to impossible to find a decent place to live with the money I have so my family in VA offered to help me. They are allowing me to stay with them until I find a job there. I have money saved but don't want to get a place there until I have steady income. Once I get a place I want my son to move to live with me. Do you think a judge will allow that since it is far? If an infant is placed with a foster family and visited by its mother once in while, and after a few months the mother takes the child and immediately places it in daycare - would it be in any way detrimental to the child's well-being or would it have no effect on it? To put it short, my father's business is going under and he can't sell the house. He's going through a rough time. My brother and I are in college right now and he's absolutely petrified were not going to find jobs in our field and is getting worked up with that as well. I am 33 years old and own my own home and am married and have kids and my dad always wants to come hang out with me after work, every single day. And when he comes over, he rearranged my entire house to his liking and inspects the entire place every time he comes over. I have things set up how my wife and I like them but he comes over and moves all the furniture around. She buys like two packs every day and smokes one after another constantly. Long story short, my uncle finally found a girlfriend and she's moved into his, but she has a bad hoarding problem, he's said that there's rusty saucepans, dead flower's, old torn clothes that she doesn't wear anymore, filthy pillows, broken plates and she's moved them all into the garage and the kitchen, and it smells pretty bad he wants me to talk to her about this because I've worked with her before, I'm good with talking to people about their problems and ways around it but never really talked to a person with these kind of problem's, should I go in and be like "jesus Kevin, why do you have so much stuff? I am 14 years old and I have a 17 year old brother. We both play baseball and our dad is our main motivation to play. I feel like I let him down. My brother is a lot better than me while I am the worst on our rec team. He made 8th grade baseball while I didnt. I just got home from taking my daughter to school. Since I did not go in anyplace and was only gone for 15 minutes I drove in my bare feet and did not bring my shoes.

When I was 12 years old my mom changed into a completely different person. She was unpredictable, nasty, and she just stopped being a kind person. It got progressively worse over the years, and when I was 19 I was ready to leave despite the fact that my family needed me. She was toxic, and I didn't think I could stand to be near her another day. Then, at 48 years old she became pregnant. Maybe I'm a pushover but I couldn't leave. She needed me, my younger brother (17) needed me. After my half-sister was born (1 month early but totally healthy) my mom went to a therapist and was diagnosed with cyclothymic disorder and a severe anxiety disorder. She began taking meds for it, and overtime has become the amazing person and mother I remember from my childhood. I am so happy she is happy, and to have a good bond with her again but I can't help but feel slightly angry that my mom couldn't get help for me and my other two siblings. Her behavior and toxicity was a big part of both of my suicide attempts... Idk, I know I shouldn't be angry, I should just be happy but I am a little angry. I'm glad my sister will grow up with a good, normal mother but I wish I had been enough for my mom to change :( Should I talk to her about this? I just feel so guilty for being a bit angry.

Alright so I am 19, I have a half-brother on my dad's side who is 22, and two full siblings, a brother (17) and a sister (18). My 48 year old mother became pregnant, and gave birth a few weeks ago (The baby and her are healthy despite my sister being born a month early). The baby's father refuses to be in the baby's life but pays child support so she lives with us full time. I am excited to have a new sibling but I'm nervous. I've never had a much younger sibling before. I didn't grow up with my half-brother, we developed a close bond when we were older, and even then we are only 3 years apart. I did grow up with my brother and sister, and we are all a year apart (save me and my brother since I am 2 years old than him). I'm just nervous that in between my two jobs, and school that I won't bond with her. Ik I'll eventually move out of the house when my family doesn't need me but for the next few years I am helping out at home, I want to bond with her so that when I do leave she will still feel close to me. I've never had any issues with her family in that sense. To be quite frank I never really invested that much time in them. I figured if I go over there once every 2-3 months I have done my duty. It's my older sisters 30th birthday this weekend and she's arranged to have a lunch time meal with all her friends and invited me to come. I had a wisdom tooth extracted this weekend and I think I'm starting to get a dry socket as the pain is getting worse and worse and I have been back to the dentist and he said it looks and sounds as though I'm getting dry socket which can last up to a week. I messaged my sister telling her this and that I may not be able to come as I won't be able to eat from the pain and all she replied was she was looking forward to the day and she hope no one lets her down... hinting majorly at me that I better come and ignoring everything I have said. My sister also lives a 2 hour drive from my house so it's a long way to travel for a meal I can't even eat and be with about 20 women I don't know and will be in too much pain to talk to. I'm also exhausted from working shifts and haven't had a proper day off to rest for over 2 weeks which really isn't helping my recovery. Is it really really essential I go to this? My mum thinks I should go to keep the peace but also said she thought at 30 years old my sister would be past all this meeting up and getting so stubborn about it. I'm in so much pain :(

Ok well I've talked about this before but....I'm just so sad right now. My dad was murdered in front of me by my neighbor when I was 8 years old. And I really loved him so much. Everyday of my life I was with him. We did everything together. Until that day. That day when my dad was taken from me right in front of my own eyes. I don't live with my mom or my two sisters. I live with my grandparents and my great aunt who is so rude to me. I just want to hug my dad right now. And since I can't, I want my mom. But I can't talk to her either. She lives in another town than me. And it's 2:45am so she won't answer a text or call. I can't fall asleep because all I can think about is what it looked like for my dad to get murdered. I haven't mentioned this. But my dad was shot. And watching something like that is so indescribable. It's just the most painful thing that I can imagine seeing as an eight year old child. I still haven't had closure. I've testified twice and he was found guilty. But I'm going to court next month for his sentence. And if it's not life in jail my mom and I think when he comes out he's going to kill us too. I'm sorry for rambling. I live with my Uncle, Dad, Grandma, and siblings. My Uncle is a police officer. He says bad things about my Dads girlfriend and calls her fat and ugly when she really isn t. For example when my dads girlfriend comes over to our house he gets all mad and locks himself in his room. And then when she leaves he comes out and talks **** about her to my Grandma but my Grandma likes her so she doesn t bother. I assume that he s only saying these things because he s jealous. He got divorced 8 years ago and hasn t been in a relationship since. He can t even talk to me and when he does, he can t even make eye contact or he has to ask my Grandma to tell me something. He can be really nice one day but the next day he turns all mad and silent. It s really irritating because, I just want a normal uncle that I can talk to on a daily basis. Let me explain. Back when we were kids, I felt like she hated me. She bullied, belittled, and low rated me as a kid. She punched and scratched me and called me names and even threw away my rubber duck, a favorite toy that was mine. We argued all the time until I got old enough to fight her back and curse her out. Fast forward to our adult years and I still feel like she has some lingering resentment and dislike towards me. She is back at home in Saint Louis, Missouri with our mom after being gone in Utah for almost 19 years. Her and I am sharing our childhood bedroom together. What turns me off was the fact that she said she doesn't care too much for cops and all kinds of negative stupid **** about cops after I told her I am working on becoming a police officer myself and that cops can do kind things for the community, too. And then while nobody was up, she would get up late at night and eat a bowl of cereal and go back to sleep until one day she got busted out by our granny one day. Our granny told our mom about this. So the next school morning, our mom made sausages, eggs, and biscuits for us and told my sister she doesn't get any because she had breakfast already. She was evil to her sisters coming up. She tried to steal from a video store when we were out as a whole family, us four girls, mother and grandmother, and even stole some money from my 3rd oldest sister and mom. She done broke our toys and throw them away. She broke my 1st oldest sister's tennis game and threw away her cabbage patch doll and threw away my rubber duck. That was my favorite toy when I was little :'( She tried bullying 1st oldest sister until she beat her down. They would fight over the front passenger seat, too. I am getting frustrated with her now as an adult because she wants to get quiet when I reminisce about the good times we had growing up or act like she can't remember a damn thing. So my step cousin and I are very close. Ever since I moved back to the same city as him, we ve been seeing each other more often. We re both teenagers. So yesterday I was going to hang out with one of my friends but I had to finish up doing a test after school and told him to just come in and wait for me at my house. And i get home and everything is unusually quiet and I walk to my room and as im coming out of my room i see right down the hallway into my living room my friend on top of my mom having sex. I was extremely shocked so I went into my room thinking they saw me but they didn't i heard the couch squeaking a little bit and after a minute or 2 of contemplating on what to do I opened my room door marched right into the living room ripped my friend off my mom and threw a lamp at his head causing him to bleed a little bit then i started to beat the life out of him when i blacked out. When I woke up i was in the hospital getting stiches for my broken and cut up hand. I felt horrible for what i did but i also have this rage built up inside me that makes me want to throw things around and break as much stuff as I can. Was this a justifiable thing to do to my friend? He is in the ER with a fractured skull, 4 broken ribs, and a broken arm. I seriously feel like a piece of garbage for what I did. But my mom wont talk to me no matter what i say or do and I am starting to feel depressed as my dad is out of town on a buisiness trip and I have no way to contact him as of right now. My brothers are 9 and 12 and they always snitch on me! I'm 15 and it's so annoying. My brothers will tell on me if I'm texting on my phone late at night. They'll tell on me if I'm eating snacks for school, listening to music with sexual content or swear words, or if I wear something revealing to school that shows my cleavage or belly button. They think they're doing a GOOD thing for being snitches because they say that so I'll learn my lesson and won't do it again next time. Sometimes I wish I was the only child so I can do what I want without someone telling on me. I ordered something online and the first thing my 12 year old brother did was: run and tell mom! Or "you know you're not supposed to buy that!". They keep saying that they're the ones who make me be a better behaved girl after I get in trouble and that they're "looking out for me".

This sounds ridiculous but my dad recently purchased a new home. The home is valued at $850K and is a very beautiful home in the county. As gorgeous as the house is it is ridiculously huge and very very hard to keep track of one end to the other. I am currently involved in law enforcement and am training for the sheriff department. My point is my parents seem to live in this fantasy that nothing will ever happen to them in their new castle. It sounds harsh but I care about them and need to convince them to at least invest in a firearm for their safety. Everyone bleeds the same. I just can t get that point across to them. This house sticks out like a sore thumb.

Sorry it is a bit long. I have Asperger's syndrome and my mum is a doctor in London. I feel like my Mum gives importance only to things which are important to her. She has exhibited this behaviour many times. This is affecting my health (I become really angry and stressed and start eating loads of junk food. My dentist has stated that my toothaches are caused by sugar). Many times she stated that she can give me less attention now and focus on herself because I am older. I have spoken to many professionals about this. Each and everyone of them has said that I am disturbing my Mum. I have spoken to my Mum about this and she is completely aware of what she is doing. I feel like I know that I am correct; my Mum is simply being selfish and the professionals dont understand. My mum once ignored me on holiday in Pakistan when I was in Year 10.. I spoke to her about this and she said that she was aware that she was doing this. I feel like I am not taken seriously due to my AS. For two years I dealt with the pain of my own mother giving me the cold shoulder. I am fed up and I often say that I will move out yet i CANNOT BRING MYSELF TO DO THE STUDYING REQUIRED TO GET A GOOD JOB!. I often threaten suicide, yet I can never do it because I attempted it a few years ago. In my Year 12 exams I had suffered a huge breakdown due to fears of my Mum, yet my Mum does not believe it. We were scheduled to go visit our relatives in Pakistan a month after my exams. I was scared. What should I do?

So I live at my boyfriend's parents with him while we save money to get our own place and car and such and his mom keeps using things that I buy without asking and plays dumb when I ask her about it and she stops for a few weeks and starts again. Keep in mind that she has a better job than me and can clearly buy her own bathroom supplies but chooses to use mine and some of them are not cheap. (Razors/Hair Products). So I ask you , what should I do? I took them out of the bathroom for the night and I'm going to see what happens when she showers tomorrow evening when they are gone. I'm not being selfish , it's just rude to me when she doesn't ask and then acts like she didn't do it when I can clearly smell the shampoo and such on her hair and see that more is gone than usual when I didn't use it that day. Help.

So today was career day at my school, and my dad came to talk about his job as a "holistic pharmacist" (his real job is being a weed dealer, BTW). Then this rich kid Flint who I hate overheard me and my friend Geoffrey sh!t-talking Flint's dad while he was giving this snobby presentation about being a CEO. Flint started fighting with me and he called my dad a whore out loud. Everyone else in class was just like "Oh sh!t," and I yelled at Flint "My dad is NOT a whore!" but my dad was completely calm (and probably a little high), and he was just like "Yeah I am." Now I'm even angrier at Flint because his stupid a*s is actually right for once, and I don't have any other excuse for beating him up. Should I just rough him up a little and leave it at that?

Fortunately I have always had both parents married in my life. I honestly wish sometimes that I had a single mother than have the father I have. He treats me like I'm unwanted. I can buy him something and he won't say thanks. He only talks to me when he needs something. He criticizes me for working and every morning when I go to work he asks me where I'm going like it isn't obvious. He has said he loved me twice in my life that I can remember (I'm 20) and those were when I was thinking about killing myself. I could ask him to do a simple thing such as remove a wasp nest outside the house because I park by it and he told me to do it. I can ask him about car stuff and he will tell me to figure it out. When I take my car to a shop he yells at me when it's my money. He says I can talk to him about anything but when actually do he doesn't care I feel it is counterproductive so internalize my feelings then eventually I have an emotional outbreak to myself. He once told me my hair or weight wasn't good enough and that I was getting fat. No issues with mother but I feel like I'm living in a toxic household and that I'm questioning my mental sanity

I'm graduating this year and the school is only giving us 6 tickets. Which means only 6 family members can come and that's it. No extra tickets. I live with my mom and I see my family members on her side more than I do my dads. But I have a very close relationship with my dad and I'd rather hang with him than her but my mom and him don't get along. So she feels that my dad doesn't need to come to my graduation to see me graduate which I think is so evil and selfish. She's only planning on inviting family members on her side. She's choosing to invite family members that aren't even in town to come instead of him. I just told her that my dad HAS to come to my graduation and she just told me he can't. But these are MY tickets and it's MY graduation and she thinks she can have control over them just becasue she's my mom. I almost never win an argument with my mom so I need help because I'm going to confront her again to let her know I'm serious about my dad coming to my graduation. So I need help lol

Ok. To start off, I'm a senior in high school. Ok, I get off at 2:30 and I have a job often starting at 5 and work till 11 to midnight. Then and on weekends weekends I stay up studying, since I'll def need it for senior finals, etc. I'm still expected to help out around the house and babysit my sisters (fair enough) But I'm graduating in afew weeks, so I have to Really cram in more studying and my hours at work boosted. So between all of this I can't even get 3 hours of sleep in. So my room isn't the cleanest. Its decent. Because of this while I was at work today, my stepdad came in and took away my laptop and books. I told him my english homework was on my laptop and he screamed in my face "too bad, just do it over again". While I'm also supposed to be cleaning. Um. I'm sorry? I'm trying to graduate? And I'm also working to get money to go to college? I literally do more in a day than he does in a week. He Literally sits on his *** after work and stays on his phone and screams at everyone. Is it fair that, while I'm trying to graduate and get money for college I can't even SLEEP properly, he takes my things away just for having a SLIGHTLY messy room? I understand yeah he's my stepdad show respect I live under his house, blah blah. But I'm human too and frankly drop dead exhausted to even study right now but I have to redo my ******* homework, because of him. I know I may sound spoiled and whiny, I admit maybe I am, but PLEASE look at it from my point of view..no being rude..

Before you ask no im not rude to her i cant have kids so she is like my daughter. Her mother made her own version about cinderella and renamed it "evil stepmother" now my daughter hides in her roon when her her dad leaves and its hard to do anything with her i love her trust me. How do i get her to get over it.

She just is always nice to him. Lately she seems super annoyed by my presence. Ill say "hey, mom?" To ask her a question and she gets super mad at me and tells me to get out of her hair. When my brother asks she says "what bud?" And they talk. Even if i just want to talk to her, she seems annoyed and gives me tiny answers. I know she loves me, but seeing her love my brother more just... Hurts... Its so obvious she does.. Ive tried talking to her but she says im being dramatic and waves me away. I just wish we could sit down and talk like a normal mom to daughter. Even if for five minutes she gave me her attention and love to talk, id be happy with it. My dad and i dont get along... He is an angry person and is just so hard to talk to. Ive tried so hard, he just doesnt really care. Its been like this for years. I know it wont change, but could someone give me advice on how to not get hurt by it? It sucks so bad... It makes me really sad

My wife and I moved to CA from NYC almost 7 years ago. We have failed to make any real connections so we feel alone and isolated. My sister and brother in law and kids live 1 mile away, but I might see them at family events 3 times a year. They are always too busy for us, they don't call, they don't text, they don't email. Despite living only 2 minutes from my house they say they are so busy that they just can't find the time to have a relationship with us. My sister goes to comedy clubs, the beach, disneyland, dinner parties, dates, spends time with my parents an hour away, spends time with her mom an hour away, goes out to lunch with girlfriends, gets her nails and hair done all the time, goes to Starbucks all the time. All I'm asking is for like 10 minute visit once in a while...just to give each other a hug. Oh yeah, and my sister is a devout christian...don't Christians think that its important to spend time with people who have no one..... My question is, should I send my sister a text message with how I feel. Should I at least tell her that I want to have a relationship with her without going into all the deeper stuff? I feel my wife and I are good people, but perhaps my sister's 700 friends on Facebook are more important.

My mom has done lots of things that hurt me When my parents got divorced she brainwashed me to think my dad was a bad person To get back at him. She refuses to let me go to his house and to visit him She dated a man who abused me. She had a phase where she would go out to party every weekend leaving my sis and I home. At age 11 she beat me hard for telling her to shut up. It scarred me for life and she never apologized. She went through a phase where she tried to shove church and therapy down my sister and i's throat. Last year she got married to her boyfriend one day and let me know by texting me while I was at school. She left me and my sis for 2 months to stay with her husband who was sick but my sister and I are children so we had to stay at different friends houses for 2 moths.Everyday she'll complain to me about how she doesn't have money and it's somehow my fault even tho she's an adult. She's never supported me with sports or helped me with my schoolwork or made me feel better when I'm sad. She's never just been an actuall mom. I'm just so sad of feeling the constant hate and distance between us. I don't love her and I stopped telling her that I did or hugging her or anything when I was around 8 years old. It's about 7 years since then and my feelings are still the same. I have depression and I've had many times where I've thought about ending my life and all of them ended up somehow being because of my mom. I'm tired of it what do I do.

Im a step mom i've known her since she was 13, She was the sweetest angel. But as soon as i moved in with her dad and, her she has been a evil brat. She lies sneaks out and curses. But trust me today was the last straw. So yesterday She printed out a FAKE field trip fourm that cost 20$ to the libary at downtown. I noticed she was acting weird so i checked the browsing history. And her dad signed it and gave her the money. Anyways my 10yr old goes to her school its from kindergarden until 12th grade. So my 10yr old told me my stepdaughter hid in the bathroom then got out of the school from the back door!!!. Well i have an tracker app on her phone and she did go downtown tho on a bus. She ate some pizza and other things. Then about at 2:10 she went back to school, when she got home i asked her about it she just rolled her eyes and went to her room her dad told me to leave her alone. Right now shes bragging to her friends on the phone, what do i do?.

My boyfriends mom doesn't like me , she's very mean and rude. His family always makes comments about me and it's very rude... I don't feel comfortable with my child going anywhere without me around his friends , family bc if this . his mom hit me before when he let me in the house and he even said his name is on the lease but I never did anything about it ..,,, I don't want my child there alone and he lost his job ..... basically I am going to need child support and he's mad.. I don't want the baby going with him alone without me ....do I have to if he pays child support in Ct?
