I know I sound bitchy. I don't want to be. It's a trait I noticed in myself and I want to change but don't know how to effectively. My friends all talk bad about other people, make fun of them behind their backs or gossip, and I know it's terrible but I join in anyways. As of recently I've even found myself initiating it and it always leaves me with a terrible feeling. Sometimes I say things that are meant as a joke but it instead comes across as awkward or mean. I feel embarrassed and ashamed of who I'm becoming and I want to change. Please, any tips?

My 11 year old daughter has trouble making friends with female children. She only has guy friends and is only into guy things. I'm worried that there might be certain issues that will eventually come up, especially when she reaches her teenage years because that's when lots of kids start experimenting things. She's been like this since she was a toddler. She never liked dolls, hair clips, fashion, or pretend play with Barbies. Instead, her interests are Pokémon, video games, skateboarding and hanging out with her guy friends. She has nothing in common with girls her age, and shows little interest in them.

sometimes i feel like shes just my friend because she has no choice. i dont know how to explain but when i say i love her, shes says it too but it doesnt feel like she doesnt want to be around me sometimes... anytime we fight it has something to do with this. i just love her so much. ive seen her through her toughest days, like when she thinks about her mom and when her dog died and anytime her boyfriend upset her or when shes suicidal, and at her best times, like when we re skyping or when shes off traveling or whatever. i just want her to understand that shes one of the best people in my life but i dont think its worth it. please help. :(

It s been a year and I tried to make amends again but she said no. To be honest, I m hurt. I never wanted us to end up how we are. I admit, she can be immature, but I loved her like a sister. Am I wrong for feeling this way? Should I let her go? Stop caring? Any advice?

I know I was mean to him but I never thought he could hurt me or my social life this bad. I have a public speaking class. I met, Alyson, bailey, and faith. We seemed to get along. This lesson we're doing is debate. The teacher said you can have a partner or 2 or be alone. The teacher had us write down four name we'd like to be in a group on a half sheet of paper and turn it in. Monday I wasn't in class, she decided to get one sheet of paper and pass it around the class and let the class choose their group clearly I didnt know. I went back to class yesterday, Faith said they are a group of three(faith,bailey,alyson) i thought the teacher picked them. I said thats bull how the teacher did that. Leaving me out She agrees. I said do you know who i was placed with, with a group she started to make assumption like tanners group. Yesterday we also had a sub, she asked everyone if everyone got their group that they wanted to be in signed up on the sheet. I was confused considering friday she said that shes picking the groups, i guess not. I asked faith, "oh...you got to choose ur own groups?" She pretended to be confused like she never seen it before although they were allowed. All of them, Faith, Bailey, Alyson knows, that i cant debate by my self. They could've split the teams that way it was 2 and 2, but they put me out. Lied directly. I don't understand. I think its rude, and they are two-sided ppl that claim to be a friend when they clearly arent. Do you agree? What should I do?

I had no idea how to word the question lmao. I've had social anxiety since I was around 12 and I am now 16. It improved for a little while, but since the new year, it's back full force. In all of my lessons, I have set seating. The girls that I sit next to never bothered talking to me (and I'm to blame too; I never talked to them either because I was too nervous) to the point where they flat out ignore me. When the teacher asks us to work in pairs or groups, the girls literally turn to their other side and work with the people there, leaving me alone. Humiliating. And these are all different people, not just one girl. I never have an opportunity to at least try and ask for ruler or ask what time it is because they've been ignoring me for so long, I get this really cold vibe from them so I just keep to myself. In other lessons, I'm sat with "popular" girls who no doubt would stare at me weirdly if I so much as attempted to join in. Besides, they only talk about hookups and parties. They also form their own little groups, leaving me alone. I don't know why, I just feel stuck. There's almost no room for attempts. I feel like I've left it for so long that trying to integrate myself in now would seem really weird...?

Some even have opnely asked me that. I get the best grades at school. I don't wear skinny clothes. My behaviour is very different compared to other guys in my class(I don't slap girl's butts, while others do. I don't suck up to them or annoy them) One half of girls respect me more and are very friendly towards me, even if I never talk to them, but the smaller half dislikes me more or less.(I'm 14)

Last year I had a huge fight with my best friend over something so silly that I can't remember, but I remember it was so stupid! We had some space for a few weeks so think it over and by the end of that space she had found a new friend to hang out with. I spoke to her about it about a month later and she told me I am not the kind of person she would want to be friends with. Now, I would understand this if I had actually done something wrong, but the argument was 50/50 between us. I live with a roommate who has a desktop computer that can't be taken out of our room. She also has a different sleep schedule than I do, which usually results in her laptop light being in my face while I'm trying to sleep. It's kind of frustrating, especially whenever I have to get up early, because I usually end up just laying there unable to sleep until she finally goes to bed too. I've asked her to turn the brightness down before, but apparently her desktop doesn't have that feature, or at least she couldn't find it. I've asked her if she wouldn't mind turning it off once before when it was around 1-ish and I couldn't sleep (I had to get up early for something important, so I couldn't afford to just wait for her to go to bed too like I usually do) and she did, but I felt like she was kind of bitter toward me the next day as a result. Plus, she still continues to have her laptop on until like 2 am almost every night. Would it be unreasonable to ask her to have her computer off after midnight? I don't want her to have harsh feelings toward me, but I need to sleep and short of sleeping with a face mask every night I don't know what else to do.

Ok so basically. I'm 16, and a girl, and I have quite a few good friends, I'm probably really close with about 10 people and have some other friends who I can just chat with and stuff. But I feel like a lot of my good friends are only friends with me because they love my best friend (let's call her Katie), and want to be closer to her. She's so much more easy going and fun. To make my school's track and field team, you must go through a series of cuts to make the school track team smaller. There was about 5 of them and I made it past the first 2 but then I got cut. Two of my neighbors tried out, and one of them got cut at about the same time I did. The other one made the team. Since I made the 1st cut, the neighbor that got cut just assumed that I made the team. During our spring break he would always ask me about practice since he didn't make it. If you make the team you stay after school for practice and he saw me biking home from school and asked me why I wasn't at track and I panicked and said that I quit, but I'm scared he would find out that I didn't actually make the team because the list of team members are posted in our school's auditorium and my neighbor that made it would probably tell him if me brought up the subject. I'm pretty sure I'm overreacting but I hang out with all of my neighbors every day and they're SUPER sensitive and they'd all turn on me and probably tell my parents and they would get mad. Ive had this friend for almost 10 years, and I love her to death. Thing is, we got into a huge fight and didnt talk for almost the whole school year. This is her first year back in the state, she used to live in California. She changed a lot. I can tell she misses me, but I know none of us are going to talk to eachother. I am in 10th grade and in english class... My friend likes to bully me... It got even worse today when he took my book away while reading.... I ask if he can get it back but he didnt respond... i tried getting it but he just hid it from me... He also calls me names like "Your head looks like.... " or "You are a b*tch* and many more... he also shows me the middle finger, and kinda yells at me especially when i want to get my book, so i got up to get another book and he just told me "What are you doing?! Sit back down!" I didnt want to make a scene because we need to read to get a 100 for a daily grade... but he refuses to listen or give me my book, he also took my pencil away and i tried getting back and he said "i need a pencial god damn" while he has 5 pencils in his bag and i seen some students defending him... but no one defended me... WTF is wrong with teenagers today! 99.8 are Nothing but a**holes, brats ... yes i am a teen but i try to follow the rules and i never get treated well especially by so called adults/teachers...(Except Art and ROTC) I have this social anxiety and because of that school i want to kill myself... My cuz always thinks I copy her. I own heelies and I've had my eye on the Segway for a while (expensive but I was to pay for her own money.) Next day, she tells me "my mum is getting me a Segway don't copy me!!" she saw my search history and saw that I was looking for segways and got so mad. She follows all of my friends, even Ones who she doesn't even know!!! She got angry at me because I followed her brother (who is also my cousin). I'm straight, but everyone else in my friend group is either gay or bisexual. This has never bothered me, but today I realized that it bothered one of them. While my friends were goofing around, one of my friends gave me a dirty look and said "Isn't it weird how she's the only one of us that's straight ?" That doesn't really bother me, I probably would have just shrugged it off and moved on if it didn't continue to get worse. She then went to another friend in our group and told him about how straight people suck and that I shouldn't be friends with them anymore. A lot of my gal friends work at the XYZ company that is being taken over by the ABC company. They were told they had to upgrade their computer skills to keep their job. They priced this computer training and it was expensive. They asked me if I knew where I could get this computer training cheaper as most of them are on a tight budget. I told them it was a long shot but my ex husband Tim was a computer expert and he might do it for them on credit. They should give him a call. They called him and he told them he would train them FOR FREE. They were VERY HAPPY. He did the training, they kept their jobs at the new company and some of them got raises. Now when I see them, they tell me what a great guy Tim is. They are taking him to lunch as a way of saying thank you and they asked me what would be A GREAT PRESENT they could get him. I gave it some thought and I told them what he would really like is to go on a date with each of them. He really likes to date beautiful women and they all qualify. They were all shocked by what I said. They said are you sure you don't mind us going on a date with your ex. I told them he as MY EX and it was none of my business who he dated. I don't consult him about who I date so why should I care who he dated. Is it so unusual that I feel this way?

I have a 13 year old daughter with Autism. Her name is Kristina, and she is very high functioning, but she has trouble making friends due to her bad social skills. She has trouble with eye contact, being the first one to say hello, giving people compliments, and asking people questions about themselves. She is currently in middle school, 8th grade to be exact. She has always been way too high functioning for Special Ed, so she has been mainstreamed since kindergarten, which means that instead of being in class with the other special needs kids, she is in class with all of the normal kids. She is the only special needs kid in all of her classes, while the rest of the kids in her classes have no special needs at all. We're not rich, but we live in a rich town, so the kids in Kristina's school can be pretty snobby. Every friend Kristina has is rich, while she isn't. The kids in her school are mostly rich and snobby, and none of them seem to understand that she has Autism. You see, she has these two best friends at school named Taylor and Allie, both who do not have any special needs and are much taller than her(she's short). The three of them have a lot of classes together, so they are together a lot in school. The three of them have Homeroom, Social Studies, Science, Gym, and Lunch together, and Kristina always tries to sit with them in class and at Lunch as well as walk with them in the hallways and team up with them in Gym. Kristina really likes Taylor and Allie, and they're the only two friends she has in school. Here's the problem. Taylor and Allie are best friends. The problem is, the two are rich and can be a bit snobby, and they think it's "cool" for a group of friends to choose one specific friend to leave out of everything. As Kristina has Autism and is different from her peers, Taylor and Allie chose her as the one friend to leave out of their group. They both always refer to her as their best friend, but they never invite her anywhere outside of school. The two always hang out together outside of school and have sleepovers together, but they never even think to invite her. Not only do these two girls leave her out, but they also make fun of her and push her around just so they can have a laugh. For example, whenever she tries to sit with them, she tries to join their conversation, but they never listen to what she has to say, and completely leave her out of the conversation. They are either leaving her out, or pushing her around. They force her to throw food at other kids at Lunch, which actually got them in trouble once, and they force her to be disruptive in class on purpose just so they can have something to laugh at. They think that they can push her around just because they are much taller than her. They hurt her and beat her up whenever she doesn't do something bad that they force her to do. They have lied to her and stolen from her too. They have stolen her lunch money and her student ID. They never let her be their partner in class or in Gym, and she always sits at a table alone at lunch because they always leave her out and push her around at lunch. Even when they have birthday parties, she is never invited. Earlier in the year, Allie had a birthday party and invited Taylor, but not Kristina. Kristina has never been to either of their houses, ever. Whenever I take her to the mall or to the local pizza place, we usually see Taylor and Allie hanging out at those places together, but they have never invited Kristina. They always say hello to her when they see her in public, but they never invite her. Not only that, but they never message her first, and whenever she messages them, they never reply. Kristina always tells me that she is sad and missing out on a lot of fun because Taylor and Allie never invite her anywhere and how they always leave her out. She has told me, her one on one aide(another reason why Taylor and Allie leave her out), her guidance counselor, and even her grandma about her hurt feelings from being left out. To make things worse, a few days ago when the three of them were video chatting on Skype, Taylor and Allie made Kristina get naked on video chat just so they could laugh at something. However, she remembered what had happened to Amanda Todd and refused to do it. Instead, she got off the video chat and came straight to me about them making her get naked. I was so mad and called both of their moms about it. Neither of their moms punished them or anything. After that, I have decided not to allow Kristina to video chat with them anymore. Even though Kristina never gets invited anywhere by Taylor or Allie, she does have one friend who invites her to things outside of school. You see, before we mainstreamed her in kindergarten, she went to a special needs preschool. She met her best friend ever in preschool, a girl named Maria who has Autism like her and is short like her. Kristina and Maria have been best friends since preschool. Maria goes to her school, but she is in Special Ed, so they don't have any classes together and don't see each other in school. They aren't in the same Lunch period either. Kristina never sees Maria in the hallways either because the Special Ed kids leave class earlier than the normal kids to avoid overstimulating hallway traffic. Kristina and Maria hang out outside of school at each others houses and have sleepovers together, and they go places together like to the beach, the movies, and more. My friend is into a guy who won't date her but they tell each other they love each other and call each other babe etc. I got his Snapchat and texted him on it and I did it for the purpose of trying to be nice to him for her sake, but once we started talking about the situation between them two he said something about my friend that I did not like. He called her a "low key savage" and I was mad at him for saying that and took it as an insult. I've been a real jerk to my roommate, I call him string bean, mess with him, steal his food in the fridge and his drinks, but overall I was respectful minus some ball busting. My roommate is 6'8-6'9 and plays basketball religiously. He knows I've been bad mouthing him to my girlfriend and I always made sure they never talked. Well my girlfriend was looking for me and they started to talk, next thing no I know they are texting eachother and her phone is locked and my roommate locked his since he saw me reading a message on his crappy phone that didn't have a lock. Well some friends of mine saw them hanging out and she kissed him apparently, this friend caught it on camera. I confronted this roommate and he owned up to it and said he took her virginity and laughed about it since I believe in waiting and I thought she did too... he then started talking about what he did to her, well we got into a fight and the cops were called and I went home to my parents, I found out my roommate was out of town so I took his air Jordan shorts and other athletic gear and donated that to good will and sold his tv and Xbox one, I was feeling pretty good about myself after a long nights sleep and go to work thinking my roommate and I are even well he had me arrested for larceny and the judge drained my account of 2,000 and something dollars to cover the loss of his tv, Xbox and clothes. he also filed a restraining order on me since I tried to attack him. How do I tell my ex he is bad news?

I can't get in touch with my friend. His phone is off for at least 3 days now, probably ran out of battery and voice mail is full. I'm worried about him, last time i spoke with him was a week ago, he said he was not well, passed out a couple times because of the new medication. He lives alone, has a best friend in another state. Called his company, they said they couldn't find him either. Called the hospital that he used to be treated in, find no record of him staying there. I'm pretty sure his best friend is his emergency contact. (Unfortunately, i don't have his best friend's number) All i want to do is to find his best friend and see if he knows how he is and if not, ask him to find my friend. (He moved to a new apartment and i didn't ask where it is. I should've asked! ) What if he passed out at home and no one knows!! I can't stop thinking about that!! I've tried everything I could think of and still hear nothing. What should I do? Can anyone please tell me if there is any other ways to find him?

Im a 17 year old girl in 11th grade. Ive become an aloof person for months and I dont care about not having friends but I care about people seeing me a loner and its my biggest fear which eventually after my all friendships happens to me.

Im a 17 year old girl in 11th grade and Ive been with this 2,3 classmates of mine and for months. We'd hangout and etc and on and on I started being aloof by falling in love with one of them. Im not lesbian but this just happen and made me aloof towards everyone and eveything specially her! I was sensitive and I just became even more. I'd take everything personally including things that deep in heart weren't anything big at all and it really bothers me. For example yesterday in a group chat I started a fight with her and we didnt talk today at all. Whatever would happen she'd come and say sorry to me or just ask how I am but today wasnt anything like that. Even my other friend who used to backbite about her to me wasnt talking to me today at all and would just smile from far away and didnt have any contact with me. I dont wanna say sorry because I know nothing will get better and It'd get worse but what makes me angrier is my other friend who was with her and was completly ignore me.

I have been friends with him for about 2 years, and we have gotten closer last summer. We go to different high schools, but we are on the same swim team. He has helped get through some hard times. The closest thing we've ever done to hanging out was just team get togethers. I have been thinking about asking him to hang out sometime during the summer, maybe inviting him over, but i dont know. Almost everyone in my class don't listen to anything the teacher says and they speak all the time in the classroom, and almost everyone in my class had to retake the physics test. Yet they all pick on me, telling me I'm disgusting and stupid for nothing and they're calling me a girl and one of my "friends" has started calling me a girl too and his hair is super long and he looks like a girl 5x more than me. And today at school this one kid who is also getting picked on started picking on me and he took my hood and dragged it over my head, I am taller than him but I think he is stronger than me so I didn't do anything. But the next time someone does something to me I want to be able to stop them, the only way I can think of is fighting them but when I am about to do something against them I start shaking and my heart starts beating really fast, and I start feeling really weak. I also have braces and I'm worried if someone hits me in the face that something will fall of and It will probably hurt 5x more. If I can't hit them back, then how am I going to make them stop?

I called my friend some derogatory (I guess?) names ( he's a hispanic guy) and the cuck got himself offended by this and so he refuses to be friends with me any longer. I LOVED this guy. we were friends since school timez. My sister is homeschooled, so doesn't have many of her own friends, I hang out with her a lot at home and we always do things just the two of us, going to the movies, shopping, etc., so I would consider us close. Now my mother is angry at me, and guilt tripping me because I won't bring my sister to hang out with my friends, who are all at least 4 years older than her. They don't know her, and she doesn't know them. This feels like a very unfair thing for my mother to ask of me Should I feel guilty?
